This is excellent as a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer but average as a SS. The pros are it absorbs immediately, lovely finish, no break outs or clogs, no cast. The con for me is my skin does tan when I wear this even for daily use, when my sun exposure is (even cumulatively)low.

This is the one sunscreen/moisturizer that does not increase my acne.......and, yes, I have tried many sunscreens. I would prefer it did not contain a chemical sunscreen (also has zinc oxide) but it has not caused any problems so far. It is not very moisturizing but I want it for the sunscreen so I do not care. I detect no scent. A pump or pointed-tip top would be nice because it is a little messy to dispense but I really am happy to have found a sunscreen my skin can tolerate.

I have oily skin yet I still like a light moisturizer to add before putting on my make up in the morning. For some reason I love the simplistic look of this bottle. I tend to like it even if it doesn't have a pump. You just squeeze out the amount you need. I like the spf in it even though its very low. Never feels greasy on my face and absorbs well. It also feels soothing in a way. Doesn't seem to break me out either. This has lasted me awhile also.

I used to use this product rather extensively and it worked very well! It wasn't too greasy or thick, it moisturized well, and it just straight up did its job. As of the past year (not sure if it was reformulated or what), I've noticed that it feels very "mask" like and it makes my combo skin VERY oily! I am thinking that a new moisturizer is in order, but for now, my skin is getting by without it, and the moisturizer does work well as a base for my primer and foundation, hence why I am leaving it 3 lippies.

This moisturizer works awesome. It doesn't break out my acne prone skin, distributes the perfect amount of moisture, and makes my skin look more radiant right after I put it on. I use this at the beginning of my day once using a quarter sized amount after washing my face and putting my clinique bp on. My skin gets relatively oily fast so i use a finishing powder to minimize that but other then that the moisturizer works perfectly for my oily and sensitive skin. I would recomend for anyone needing a basic moisturizer.

I have never liked a product so much that I decided to write a review about it, until now. I purchased this at Costco the other day because I saw it in a two-pack and thought I might try it out. I had high hopes because I had seen good reviews about this moisturizer, but when I first applied it I was disappointed because it dried so fast and didn't look shiny at all. I know that probably sounds weird, but I have extremely dry skin so usually if a lotion is greasy, I feel that it's giving me the moisture that I need. Turns out, this lotion is not only light and non-greasy, but it moisturizes better than the product I was using before. Now, my dry skin feels nice soft, and hydrated...but I don't look shiny at all, even by the end of the day. It wears well under my foundation also, and doesn't give off those white flakes like most other non-greasy moisturizers that I've tried. I also feel like it helps with redness on my face. I have dry, acne prone skin and within two days of using this stuff, my face was clear and almost completely free of redness. I'm in love. The only thing that I don't like about this product is the packaging, because it doesn't have a pump :(

Best daytime moisturizer that I've tried. I think that it's great for sensitive, oily skin as it is very lightweight but hydrating. Of course, this has never broken me out, and I've been using this for almost 6 months. The only con would be the rather low spf, but as long as you don't plan on spending a prolonged period of time in the sun it should be fine.

My sister gave this to me when she got a different moisturizer. I found back in the summer when the air wasn't dry and my skin was better, it did a better job. Now it's winter and my skin is dry and broken out and this does next to nothing to help. It's good if you need a really quick moisurization. It didn't break me out, but it didn't clear anything up either. I'd say go for it if you have slightly dry skin, but anything more, try a different moisturizer.

This is a reliable, basic moisturizer that I always end up coming back to. It sinks in well and does not irritate my incredibly sensitive, clog-prone, acne-prone skin. I feel like my skin glows when I use this. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love the lotion version of this! It is one of the few products I have purchased probably dozens of times. It moisturizes without being greasy and provides a bit of stable sun protection that is not stingy or irritating, even near my eyes. The combo of 3% zinc oxide and 6% octinoxate is stable and can be used with mmu. Though PPD factor is pretty low (2-4 at best) I find that it is perfect for me as I am not exposed too much sun at all due to my schedule. It is one of the few sunscreens I can actually get the full 1/4th tsp of on my face without looking like a grease-ball (you need to apply this much of any spf product to get the full label protection). If anything, my skin looks soft and hydrated with it on, and I get many compliments. I've even turned my DH onto it as it doesn't seem too "girlie" and the zinc actually calms some redness and oilyness he has. It is uber-affordable, and I will certainly continue to purchase. As a final aside, to those who don't wish to use this product due to Olay's animal testing, both CVS and Riteaid versions don't test and have no animal ingredients. I have used and like the CVS version, but I find the consistency is a bit thicker and the pump packaging creates product waste.

My everyday moisturizer, instantly sinks into my skin, leaving it soft and slightly oily. When I just want to wear powder I wear only this underneath. I use the old formula of course, with the stable SPF ingredients (Zinc oxide and Octinoxate).
The only problem is that if I use too much it leaves a layer of oil on my face. I find a nickel sized lump is my ideal. Otherwise, it's a cheap, high-quality lotion for everyday use. I spread it on my face, neck (and chest during the summer).
Wish it came in a squeeze tube, but this is not bad. Hard to get every last drop out though. I store it upside down when it's getting low and it tends to overflow once I remove the cap.

I have been using this product (the classic gentle formula) for years. It does what I need it to do - moisturize my skin and provide broad-spectrum protection from the sun. It does not irritate my skin and eyes or cause/worsen breakouts. I'm a woman of color and if you apply generously (like I do), it can appear white at first, but then after a few minutes it sinks in. My only con is that sometimes my T-zone can get oily with this on, but that is not enough to affect my rating. Overall, this is a valuable product in both my husband's and my skincare regimen. Will rebuy again and again.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this! I tried this in the past and chucked it since it didn't do anything to improve my skin. I gave it to my brother and sister who have had horrible acne and it helped clear it up. Here I am years upon years later and my skin is awful. It's oily, acne covered & prone, my skin is clogged, and the pores on my cheeks look like an orange rind. I needed an overhaul and that's just what I did. I actually am using the Target (up & up) version of this since it's half the price ($4.97 Target vs $9.90something Olay). It's done wonders for my skin and has truly helped along with my AHA lotion & Purpose cleanser. Gentle is the best way to go if you have acne & clog prone skin. I just can't sing enough praises and will forever be using this. continued >>

Works decent during the winter but u ll def need a better protection during the summer. It's a good product for a drugstore brand and you get a lot for the price, but I really grow to hate the feeling of the thick white pure sunscreen on my face in the morning, I will continue to look for a better one with more moisturizing qualities and less sunscreen smell, but I ll keep it in my drawyer with my Aveeno one just in case I won't have anything better at the moment.

I have used this since I was 16 years old. I will say you get a lot of product for your money. But you don't get very much protection. In the summer my skin gets very tan. It may be good in the winter time. My skin loves the moisture this product brings but I'm going to have to find a new product with better uva protection. Edit 4/24/2012 guess there is a reason I have been using this since I was 16 I have not used this in a long time and broke down and bought another bottle because i haven't found anything else i like!!! I fell in love with this all over, it plump my skin and since I'm an online college student I don't need the high spf during the week since I'm in the house most of the time!! On the weekends I do use a different sunscreen with higher spf! But I love what the moisturizer does for my skin, plump it up and drys to a dewy finish (love that) it makes me have a glow!!!! I really like the bottle, it's cute to me and easy to travel with I don't want a pump! And if I did I could always put the product in my old eucerin face spf 30 bottle...

I first started using this in "Normal" but I think it broke me out so I switched to the 'Sensitive' version.
The good:
-I have no breakouts that I can link to my use of this product
-It has no smell, at least none that I can detect.
-It have a great texture, very light, not oily. It spreads nice and smooth and only a few dabs are needed.
-It doesn't give a white-ish cast that some sunscreen moisturizers do.
The bad:
-It doesn't give a matte finish but not shiny either
(so this is not necessarily a con but a matte finish would make it a pro for me).

My poor, sad face: sensitive, acne-prone, combination, rosacea.
Ladies, I think that I may have found my HG with this! I picked it up on a recent Target run, it was $10 for the small bottle (not sure how many fl. oz., it's at home and I'm on MUA at the office, as usual ;D), which I balked at initially, but am absolutely fine with now, given its performance.
I was previously using the Lubriderm SPF 15 moisturizer in the big white bottle, which was "fine", but only fine, nothing special. After going through three bottles of that, though, I got fed up with its so-so performance.. A lot of things about the way my foundation was applying were bothering me, but after changing all of the other factors, I came to the realization that the Lubriderm just wasn't cutting it.
With this bad boy: a little goes a long way, it goes on smoothly, no unpleasant or chemical-y smell, absorbs VERY quickly, and helps my foundation go on more smoothly, whether or not I use primer. With the other, I definitely noticed that it almost detracted from any foundation that I wore. Ugh.
So glad I found this, I think I'll be sticking with it for a long time!

I really like this facial moisturizer. My skin is very sensitive, and if it isn't balanced then I tend to breakout. Sometimes I use a drop of jojoba oil under this for a little extra moisture when my skin is feeling extra dry, since this isn't super moisturizing. This product leaves my skin with a dewy finish. If I use too much though it does look oily, but still not as oily as the other moisturizers with SPF that I have tried (except the Eucerin Q10). The packaging is okay, but every once in a while the lotion will just continue to come out of the top of the bottle... not sure why it does this, since the bottle hasn't changed pressures (like you would expect in an airplane, etc). I use this as my everyday facial lotion, I really like it has some sun protection too (along with some vitamins). I buy the "classic" sensitive formula, and it doesn't burn or sting my face since it is very sensitive. I haven't broken out from this.I can find this at Target, Walmart, or Walgreens (oh and Costco usually has a 2 pack).
BEST USE: Everyday moisturizer.

I love this moisturizer!! I have VERY sensitive and dry skin and this helped keep the moisture in all day and did not irritate my skin. The best thing about this is that it leaves your skin baby soft all day too. I couldn't stop touching my face! ^^ It has a sunscreen-like consistency but blends into skin like a lotion. I use my hands but also you a makeup sponge for gentler application on especially sensitive days. This is actually better than some of the high end products I have used. I will definitely buy again and even in the larger size! Hope this helped. :)
