I have been using this every morning for years, it works great under makeup. It's the best spf I've found for my acne-prone skin. But it's not perfect. It clogs my pores a bit, but less than others I've tried. I also do not care for the packaging as it makes it difficult to use every drop of the product. I'm still searching for the perfect SPF but till then I'll be using Olay Complete Sensitive Skin.
I've been using this moisturizer for about 10 years now, it's nice and light and I love that it has a spf in it though it doesn't feel like it. I think wearing a sunscreen daily has made my freckles fade too which is great!
I used to despise wearing sunscreen and will admit that the only time I used to put it on was if I knew I'd for sure be out in the sun all day (beach/day trips) since I do burn easy. That all changed when I purchased this. It's incredibly light weight, gildes onto the skin with minimal effort to rub it in, and soaks in in less than a minute without leaving a film or residue. I also don't experience any sort of white cast left on the skin. The consistancy is like a thin light lotion, it's not sticky or gummy at all. My foundation applies smooth and evenly over it, no patchyness or balling up to be had :) I do think it provides a little bit of moisturization and makes my skin feel soft but I have very dry skin so it would probably feel more moisturizing to others (I might try the cream formula for the winter but the lotion has worked out great for me during the warmer months). That being said it doesn't make my skin become oily or greasy looking throughout the day which other sunscreens always seemed to do. It doesn't cause me any breakouts and also doesn't irritate my sensitive/reactive skin. The of my favorite things about this product is it has no scent!! I would never even know it contained SPF without looking at the bottle. Speaking of the bottle, that's probably the only downside to it. When you unscrew the cap there's a tiny little hole to squeeze out the product which can lead to dispensing more than you might need. With a little practice and routine though it becomes easier to figure out the pressure to use when squeezing it, but it would be a million times better with a pump. All in all I think this is a great basic everyday no frills light weight sunscreen.
Packaging could use a little improvement but other than that I think this is one of the best ones in the drugstore. It doesn't break me out and every moisturizer out there either clogged my pores or breaks me out badly. It's not greasy and very gentle on the skin.
This is just one of those products I always have to have in my drawer. I've been using Olay moisturizers for years. It does a great job at making the skin soft. I use it before bed & in the morning under makeup. It's just one of those must-have products for me!
Now that the weather's turning cold and grey (bye-bye London Indian Summer!), my skin's starting to freak out accordingly like it does everytime winter threatens. In between the wind and indoor heating, my normally well-behaved face has started sprouting little dry, red and itchy patches that refuse to budge with my normal skincare routine. So I've switched all my regular products to those designed for sensitive skin. This moisturiser (along with Dove's Pure and Sensitive Cream Bar and Boots Botanics Skin Relief Serum) has contributed much in calming my skin and keeping the patches and redness at bay. I've always loved Olay moisturisers and I usually use the Normal Complete with SPF 15 or the Radiance Fluid as my Summer staples, but for the the Winter period, this sensitive formula is ace. It's light but hydrating and totally without a greasy after-feel. It may not be moisturising enough for those with really dry skin, but adding a serum underneath or a drop of Jojoba oil before applying will easily remedy that. It is a totally no-frills (not anti-aging etc.), but for keeping my, suddenly, sensitive skin happy and with Sun-protection to boot, I say it's a winner. And you cannot beat the price and amount of product!
So I always believed that I didn't need a moisturizer because I didn't have dry skin...but then I learned that even if your skin will produce more oils to compensate for dryness therefore making my oily skin more oily! I started to do some research for a gentle moisturizer for my skin because it tends to be sensitive and break out easily when in contact with new products. I was hesitant to purchase this but then decided to due to the good reviews.
I am so happy I did!
I love this moisturizer. I use it once a day, in the mornings, after my cleanser. It sinks into my skin so perfectly without it making my face feel heavy or greasy...which I was worried about before. It looks great under makeup and just makes my face have a natural glow if I decide to skip makeup for the day.
And best of all...IT DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT!.
A little goes a long way with this product and I have seen the positive influence it has had on my skin. It looks so healthy now!
This is a great moisturizer for the day, not only because it is SPF 15, but also because it is light and absorbs quickly into the skin. Great for wearing under makeup. I can't compare this to the regular Complete moisturizer because I haven't tried it. But, in comparison to the Olay Beauty Fluid Lotion, this is not as liquidy. The consistency of this moisturizer reminds me only slightly of sunscreen. It is a little thick, but not as heavy as sunscreen. Moisturizes just right on me, not too heavy and it actually moisturizes my skin, at least in the summer months. I haven't got the chance to use this in the winter.
This is kind of pricey for me (~$10), but it is well worth it. It also lasts a good amount of time too since I only use it in the morning.
The packaging is not the worst. It has a little hole where the product comes out when the bottle is squeezed. Only problem is that sometimes you can squeeze to much out. You can suck the product back into the bottle if you squeeze the bottle like a pipette, but that's a bit unhygienic. I just wipe the extra on my neck or hand.
This also is a physical sunscreen rather than a chemical sunscreen, so risk of being allergic to this is lowered. This also has absolutely no smell. It doesn't sting my undereye area either.
I have dark areas/discoloration in some of parts of my face due to not protecting my skin from the sun on a regular basis. I feel like this lotion has helped with that.
I love this lotion, and thats not an easy win. My face is very picky and sensitive and breaks out whenever I try anything new on my face, and this has never done me wrong. It moisturizes, has spf, and doesn't make my skin react, which is a godsend. Doesn't perform any miracles, and as I'm getting older I'm going to have to find another lotion that helps my skin...but in the meantime, I'm sticking with this!
I'm sooo bummed to turn my back on this product after seven years of use. My grandmother, my mother, and I all use Olay products and we've seen such improvement in our skin with daily use. However, there came a time about a year ago when I was getting a new blemish basically every few hours. I went to my derm and got it cleared up for the most part but I kept breaking out pretty much every day. I also started getting horrible cysts that would not go away. I was confused as to why benzoyl peroxide and Retin-A weren't taking care of the situation! I stopped using this for a few days while I was on vacation and all of my blemishes & under the skin bumps disappeared and my skin seemed to be softer and less irritated. An *aha* moment because I figured out that this moisturizer was the culprit! :( I've recently found out that my skin can't tolerate preservatives/parabens. I truly believe that it's the Cetyl Alcohol in this and the DMDM Hydantoin that really messed up the PH on my face.
