Cannot live without this.. I will change lipsticks and mascaras like there is no tomorrow. But this, this is the one thing that will remain unchanged.
I have always had dry sensitive skin, I had tried the neutrogena sensitive skin and QV, which are really great products I had dabbled in natio and was about to start looking into expensive brands when I decided to try this.
I was already using the gentle cleanser and was happy with it, so I had nothing to lose trying it. My skin felt softer and much more hydrated after I applied this. It didn't leave my skin feeling or looking greasy at all.
Definitely the best basic moisturiser I've ever owned.
Will continue to buy and re buy!
All cetaphils are great. I use this and the regular unscented lotion along with olay with spf on my face. You only need a dab. It can be heavy but not if used in moderation, and it has a "melty," "buttery" feel, in a good way. The best feature of cetaphil is the lack of fragrance. Luckily, the olay for sensitive skin is also scent-free. Cetaphil is more expensive but in winter, worth the price. It soothes my skin and spreads easily. The effects last all day. The one drawback you might find is it takes a few extra minutes to absorb. That's ok; I like it better than heavily perfumed lotion. EDIT: I like this when I need an overnight super-lotion combined with Vaseline. It has an added kick that the daily version lacks, but all cetaphils work. I know a lot of people are anti-petroleum/non-natural, but I can't get into that because I have actually tried "natural" lotions. They gave me break-outs, and I didn't even get many zits when I was a teen. Cetaphil doesn't have all those oils and extracts. I can't handle them.
This moisturizer is great! I have very dry, dehydrated skin and this makes my skin feel very smooth. I apply rose hip oil to my damp face and then follow with this. I have read a few reviews claiming that this lotion is not intended to be used on the face, however if you have a look on the Cetaphil website you will see that it is recommended for both face and body. Love it!
This moisturiser was the only thing that saved my dry, peeling skin - the after effects of my nightly BHA treatments for my acne prone skin and the harsh winter weather - it's got a heavier consistency than most moisturisers (although I hesistate to call it heavy duty) so I use it at night mostly with two drops of argan oil. Nonetheless, I also use it sometimes before my foundation, when my skin feels parched, and make-up just glides on like butter.
The only thing I'm afraid about is the possibility that this product might backfire on me once spring/summer hits and give me breakouts :/ I'll update you guys on that, fingers crossed I won't have battlefield scars to show in a few months.
Also minor gripe: I detest the tube packaging - that cap is almost impossible to open without some brute force that I had to break it at the hinges omg.
This is a great, simple facial moisturiser. My major complaint with most moisturisers is that they either clog my pores and cause breakouts or they just don't hydrate my skin properly and I get dry flaky patches. This moisturiser manages to keep my skin hydrated all day, but never makes me break out. I love it.
This is a wonderful moisturizer for my very oily and acne prone skin. The description on the bottle doesn't indicate if the lotion is intended for your face, but I can verify that it is definitely suitable for the face. The bottle does indicate that the formula is non-comedogenic. My skin is extremely sensitive and prone to clogged pores and rosacea. This lotion has not aggravated my sensitivities and if anything has helped calm my skin.
I use it only at night and it absorbs into my skin pretty quickly. I don't have to use it again in the morning, which I prefer because my foundation doesn't last as long when I wear moisturizer underneath.
I paid around $11.50 for the 8oz squeezable bottle. The price isn't super cheap but a little goes a long way with this lotion.
My HG moisturiser. When I orginally bought this product I kicked myself as I thought
I had accidently picked up a body moisturiser instead of a face moisturiser. I was broke so I decided to try it anyway and my acne prone dry skin DRINKS this up (In a good way)
I have super dry skin and pretty much anything can break me out, but this moisturiser leaves it plump and super hydrated even on my skins worst days. I use 5% BP on my face for my acne and no other moisturiser keeps my skin so incredible looking as this has. It is non greasy and fast to dry. Light feeling but heavy on moisture which is perfect for my skin. Has never broken me out.
Anyone on the regimen or that has flakey dry skin especially around the eyes should reach for this. I have repurchased 8-9 times and I adore it.
The only con that has been mentioned before as the last bit of the product is harder to get out without squirting it everywhere- so I unscrew the cap and use it that way.
Added plus is you can use it on your body too!
I have very oily, acne prone skin. I think that this lotion has potential and maybe geared more towards people with sensitive dry skin, than sensitive and oily. The consistency is a little thicker than I would have liked, however, it absorbs into the skin well. I will not repurchase this item because, although it did not make me break out, within an few hours I would oil out of my makeup, even with a primer.
Just.. no. I'm far and few among MUA reviewers by saying this, but I just don't understand Cetaphil. Maybe it's because every time I try one of their products, my skin is not moisturized enough/at all, turns red instantly and/or is greasy to the point where I have to tissue half of what I applied back off. This cream, which I bought for my severely parched skin, proves to be the same as the other Cetaphil products. Very slippery consistency when applying (only apply a little!) and leaves your face appearing overly dewy and shiny. You will feel that your skin is hydrated, no doubt, however for me my skin felt hydrated but looked cherry red. My entire nose was red-- not a single speck of natural skin color-- and my cheeks were flushed as if I had severe rosacea! You would think a sensitive skin product such as Cetaphil lotion would yield opposite results. I immediately washed off all of this lotion and went back to my trusty Cerave lotion.
Wanted to love this product as it claims to do great things for dry skin, which I have, however I was allergic. Luckily I tested on my arm before I applied any to my face! Using the original Cetaphil Moisturising Cream instead with no adverse reaction and my skin is looking better and more even every day.
So in short, I didn't like the Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion, and I won't be buying it again.
