I loved this serum I have purchased it second time in a sale it keeps me hydrated I don't need a moisturizer over this loved the package as well single pump is sufficient for the whole face
I have very dehydrated, dry skin which absolutely nothing seems to help, and most things seem to make worse. I use a very rich moisturizer right now, but I still would have dry patches, which is very unfortunate when it comes to applying a foundation, because, well, dry patches are obvious and really not pretty.
This serum is not moisturizing in and of itself; it feels more like a primer, but a primer that sinks into your skin. I use this before my moisturizer at night, and it has helped my skin tremendously; I wake up with soft, smooth, hydrated skin which my base can just glide over beautifully.
Overall, I like this product. You must use it in conjunction with a moisturizer, but it has worked well for me.
I started out using the Vitamin E Moisture Cream and then slowly transitioned into using nearly everything from this line -- all of which I LOVE, including this serum! I read that serums are the best thing to use underneath sunscreen or moisturizer with sunscreen, and that is the main reason I bought this. Just be aware that this was meant to be used in conjunction WITH a moisturizer, as it even says "pre-moisturizer" on the tube. Those who try to use this on its own might find themselves disappointed. I use this on my skin after cleansing -- morning and night. It makes my skin silky smooth and supple after application, and this carries on even after I've applied moisturizer or sunscreen and throughout the entire day. This is expensive at $21 regular price, but luckily TBS frequently has sales so those are the best times to stock up. This is the BEST product to apply before moisturizer with SPF, as it creates a smooth base and gives your skin extra hydration. I also had a slight problem with dry flakiness in between my brows, but since I started using this serum, that issue has disappeared completely. It's safe to say that I am in LOVE with the entire TBS Vitamin E line! I use the cream cleanser, face mist, serum, moisture cream and eye cream. And since converting to this line, I have noticed a significant improvement in the look and texture of my skin. I will continue to repurchase the entire Vitamin E line for as long as TBS makes it, which I hope will be forever.
Didn't do anything... If you're using this for the vitamin e benefits, try argan oil if you haven't already... Cheaper, all natural, and actually works...
I have very dry and dehydrated skin and it slightly have burn feeling when I apply it . I think it works okay for me, but I have to use 2 pumps on single usage , whenever I use one pump and vitamin e moisturizer cream , I still see some dry area on my skin. And the bottle cost around 35 $ in singapore and it last only for a month. The price is expensive but I will still repurchase again if there is promotion
I've only used this serum a couple of times, after washing and before using moisturizer or makeup. Actually, I bought it so that I could use a light moisturizer under foundation without it being super sticky or heavy (especially in Australian humidity). It's okay, there's nothing wrong with it but I don't find it especially hydrating or calming or beneficial really. I do like that it feels quite light and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or oily film - putting foundation or BB cream on top of it is fine, which is nice. But I will probably continue my search for a facial serum before re-purchasing this stuff.
it seems like there are so many serums and oils on the market today. I used this in conjunction with the Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizer, which I didn't mind. This didn't do it for me though. I was hoping it would make any difference (just something!) for my scarring but it hasn't done anything as far as I can tell. I don't find it super moisturizing and for all the competition this could get, it is a non-event for me. I'll use it up but I wouldn't write home about it.
I found this serum to be useless, it hasn't done much at all for my skin compared to other serums I've used in the past. I find as I apply it to my face it already feels dry and it's difficult to move around my face. I like the night cream in this range and find that definitely puts moisture back into my skin but unfortunately I haven't seen any difference since using this product.
Amazing! this is my first product review and im so glad its on this! i've only wore it for one day so i cant properly review it so if anything changes, i will update. BUT anyway... i think this stuff is incredible! i wear a tinted moisturiser and still look flakey and cakey (thats how dry i am) but today i keep looking at my skin and i see no flakiness what so ever! My nose has got a little oily throughout the day (which it does usually but i think a little more today) but its nothing a little Body Shop powder cant fix! I'm still a little cakey under my eyes but not nearly as much as it was before. My makeup usually looks so bad that it really knocks my confidence but this has definitely helped.
my first impression of this, however, wasn't good. When i put it on after cleansing, it dried almost instantly and i thought: "this is going to be awful" but i was so wrong! I defiantly recommend to people who want to wear makeup with skin like mine. i also recommend Nivea Soft. its not extremely moisturising though and i would choose to wear a thicker one on days where I'm not wearing anything on top of it but i think it goes good under makeup.
I give it an overall 4 because its helped my skin a lot and i love the packaging because the bottom rises and you can see when you need a new one but i think it's a little pricey. It's maybe not pricey to those who normally spend money on high end products but for me at 16, its kind of a pain in the butt. lol
Another brilliant find from The Body Shop!
I purchased The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum 8 months ago along with the Gentle Facial Wash, Cream Exfoliator and Face Mist.
The Vitamin E Moisture Serum currently retails for $27.95 in Australian stores.
I used the serum every night as part of my pre-bed routine. However, in the last 3 months, the Vitamin E Moisture serum has been replaced by Lancome's Genifique Youth Activator Serum and Visionnare Advanced Skin Corrector. The only reason I have stopped using this product is because I feel I should start implementing anti-ageing products to my skin care routine and feel the Vitamin E Moisture serum is not required with the Lancome products.
I am very picky with pre-bed skin care products. I hate and will not use anything that makes my skin feel greasy, sticky or oily. The Vitamin E Moisture Serum gets my big tick of approval, as it absorbs straight into my skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and soft. The product (along with the entire Vitamin E range) is 100% sensitive skin user friendly.
Like any serum, I would suggest using a moisturiser. When I first purchased this product, I refused to use a moisturiser as I was concerned my skin would feel greasy, sticky or oily. I have since learnt that you will not benefit from using a serum if the moisturising step of skin care is omitted.
I currently use this product on the odd occasion as part of my morning routine as I want to use it and not have to throw it out later down the track.
I have chosen not to buy this product again as I am quite content on my Lancome serums.
