I found this serum to be useless, it hasn't done much at all for my skin compared to other serums I've used in the past. I find as I apply it to my face it already feels dry and it's difficult to move around my face. I like the night cream in this range and find that definitely puts moisture back into my skin but unfortunately I haven't seen any difference since using this product.
Amazing! this is my first product review and im so glad its on this! i've only wore it for one day so i cant properly review it so if anything changes, i will update. BUT anyway... i think this stuff is incredible! i wear a tinted moisturiser and still look flakey and cakey (thats how dry i am) but today i keep looking at my skin and i see no flakiness what so ever! My nose has got a little oily throughout the day (which it does usually but i think a little more today) but its nothing a little Body Shop powder cant fix! I'm still a little cakey under my eyes but not nearly as much as it was before. My makeup usually looks so bad that it really knocks my confidence but this has definitely helped.
my first impression of this, however, wasn't good. When i put it on after cleansing, it dried almost instantly and i thought: "this is going to be awful" but i was so wrong! I defiantly recommend to people who want to wear makeup with skin like mine. i also recommend Nivea Soft. its not extremely moisturising though and i would choose to wear a thicker one on days where I'm not wearing anything on top of it but i think it goes good under makeup.
I give it an overall 4 because its helped my skin a lot and i love the packaging because the bottom rises and you can see when you need a new one but i think it's a little pricey. It's maybe not pricey to those who normally spend money on high end products but for me at 16, its kind of a pain in the butt. lol
Another brilliant find from The Body Shop!
I purchased The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum 8 months ago along with the Gentle Facial Wash, Cream Exfoliator and Face Mist.
The Vitamin E Moisture Serum currently retails for $27.95 in Australian stores.
I used the serum every night as part of my pre-bed routine. However, in the last 3 months, the Vitamin E Moisture serum has been replaced by Lancome's Genifique Youth Activator Serum and Visionnare Advanced Skin Corrector. The only reason I have stopped using this product is because I feel I should start implementing anti-ageing products to my skin care routine and feel the Vitamin E Moisture serum is not required with the Lancome products.
I am very picky with pre-bed skin care products. I hate and will not use anything that makes my skin feel greasy, sticky or oily. The Vitamin E Moisture Serum gets my big tick of approval, as it absorbs straight into my skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and soft. The product (along with the entire Vitamin E range) is 100% sensitive skin user friendly.
Like any serum, I would suggest using a moisturiser. When I first purchased this product, I refused to use a moisturiser as I was concerned my skin would feel greasy, sticky or oily. I have since learnt that you will not benefit from using a serum if the moisturising step of skin care is omitted.
I currently use this product on the odd occasion as part of my morning routine as I want to use it and not have to throw it out later down the track.
I have chosen not to buy this product again as I am quite content on my Lancome serums.
This product is amazing for getting rid of the flakiness or dry skin. It used it for the first time before going to bed and the next morning the flaky skin at my nose and forehea disappears. It also leaves my skin plumped, super soft and looking healthy. However I found the effect quite temporary. But if u r looking for a product to get rid of the dry patches on your face, this is it.
I have tried several serum ( mid to high ends ); I don't see significant difference between this vitamin E and those high end ones... these are my little feedback for this product:
- Absorbs very quicky ( I ususally apply it before daycream and base; but i found this serum sink-in faster than others)
- Lightweighted
( non-greasy; and even when u apply daycream on top, u can feel that you skin can breathe easily )
- hydrates well ( I have dry n sensitive skin; before using this products, my skin is sometimes flaky; but I have not experience this problwm with this product )
- price is reasonable ( early $ 20 CAD is a pretty cheap for a serum )
firstly love the pump that it comes with, it squirts out a generous amount each time.
1. lightweight
2. absorbs quickly
3. it is a pre moisturizer,
4. may not be very hydrating in cooler climates
5. suits normal skined people, singapore climate
6. no significant scent
7.30ml(1.0 US FL OZ)
8. EXPENSIVE : 36 singapore dollars
9. best bought during a sale
10.best used together with a moisturizer dry skin
This is just meeh....didn't help my dry cheeks at all when it was -20 degrees outside. It cost me $25 here in Sweden :(
I have normal-oily skin, more oily on the T-zone and slightly above cheeks.
I use tea tree facial wash followed by seaweed toner and then this moisture serum. my face felt clean and matt (oil-free) after using the toner. right after applying the serum, my face feels sticky and greasy. my pores became larger and more prominent after a few days.
it does have a cooling effect though, lightweight, normal smell.
When i tried on this product on my hand at the store, it felt smooth and non-sticky. it was cooling too. i really liked it and bought it during the 'weekly specials'. i guess it's coz my hands are drier than my face.
I recommend this for people with normal-dry skin for face.
The price for a small bottle is too steep. If not for the promotion, I wouldn't have bought it.
I don't know how I overlooked this serum, but I'm really glad I tried it. It is the PERFECT little extra bit of moisture to add over sunscreen, and under night cream. My skin has been extra dry lately due to winter and a very drying facial wash I've been using. The serum absorbs quickly and has the signature pleasant vitamin E scent found in the rest of this skin care line from The Body Shop. The pump is an extra plus. I use 1-2 pumps based on how much extra hydration I need. A little goes a long way, and I will definitely continue to purchase when I run out.
