This is a great curling iron. After years of using the damaging Gold N Hot irons that always broke after a couple of month's usage, the Jilbere is a welcome change. I purchased the 1" iron and use it to add curls to my short bob cut. The curls last and are soft and shiny. The iron heats up very quickly too. I would have given a 5 for overall rating but I have one small problem and that is that the location of the off-on switch makes it easy to accidentally turn the iron off during use

This is one of the best curling irons I have ever tried. I got it in 1 1/4 barrel, although initially I wanted 11/2. Anyway, 1 1/4 works wonders. This curling iron is easy to operate, it heats immediately, and with the right product curls will last forever.

I got this 1 1/4" (size of barrel) Candy Apple Red curling iron free as a promo at Sally's w/the purchase of the Jilbere de Paris Candy Apple Red Tourmaline Anti Static Ionic Dryer (which I love BTW). I couldn't wait to try it. It was everything I hoped for and more. I usually use this as the day or two after my blow out and it leaves my hair so shiney and soft. The barrel size gives me the perfect sized curls w/out looking like Shirley Temple...tee hee. I like that it has 30 Heat Settings (heats up to 430 degrees F) to provide the perfect heat for different hair types. It doesn't burn my hair or make it look frizzy all I get is great looking, many compliments hair that looks as if I got it done at a salon. Since it does have all those heat settings it means that most ahir types can pretty much use it.
