I have combination type sensitive skin.
Pros: Doesn't look or feel heavy, looks ok natural when coming off.
Cons: Poor lasting power, too sheer/doesn't cover anything, emphasizes dry areas (makes me look like I have flakes that weren't apparent before I put the foundation on), has perfume (allergenic possibly), kind of drying.
Ok for people with normal skin that don't need much coverage, this gives a dewy look.

I love the texture, looks and feels beautiful and VERY natural, with a very little satin shine, but not like other bad shinny ones that I hate. I am more a `powder girl` but this is the 1st foundation that I am 100 percent satisfied with. (shade 100)
UPDATE: Yes, it has been discontinued! Ughhh... The closest I could find to replace it, is the CLINIQUE Supermoisture Makeup!!!!! I`m the shade `Linen`. $23. Really lovely, light, sheer coverage, not drying. This Dior is still a bit better because of this beautiful sheen (?) in it, but so many of you are looking for a similar, so try the Clinique I mentioned... :-)))

I'm with the two previous posters. This is the best foundation I've ever used and of course, it's been discontinued. I love the light, sheer texture & spreadability. I've tried so many others (including Giorgio Armani Silk, Estee Lauder Equalizer, Channel) - you name it & I've probably tried it. I don't want anything heavy or chalky. I like very sheer coverage & have been trying without success to find a replacement for the Diorskin #300. Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is too greasy but her oil-free formula is too thick & hard to spread. So frustrating! Anybody else have any suggestions of replacement products to try?
UPDATE 9-22-09 After lots of searching I finally ound something similar that maybe others might like to try - Bobby Brown "Skin Foundation". I'm currently using #4.5 color in the Bobby Brown - roughly equivalent to #300 in the Diorskin. Consistency is very close to Dior, coverage is sheer (which I love). The texture is a little drier (less dewy/shiny) but still natural rather than matte. I apply with fingers & smooth it out with a foundation sponge. Other readers have commented that this foundation turns really oily after awhile but I haven't found this to be the case with me. Anyway, the Pure Light is still better, but this Bobby Brown is the next best thing. Hope this helps others who still miss the Dior! continued >>

This is my absolute HG foundation and I can't believe Christian Dior has discontinued it!!! I've tried everything to get the same sheer, luminous, glow with good coverage but can't find a replacement or the same shade - I'm 400. I've tried Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, Bobbu Brown, Prescriptives, Guerlain, Estee Lauder, MAC, you name it!.... Christian Dior Nude is no comparison and the shades aren't even the same.....

This has been discontinued. Can't buy it at Sephora or Dior.
Anyone know what has replaced it in the line?
I loved this stuff. The 200 was perfect for me.
    Figures!

This can easily be my HG, but not quite. I have this in a shade 200. Just to give you an idea, my skin is rather dry but can get oily in a t-zone. I don't like full coverage, matte foundations. This has light to medium coverage.
PROS: luminous dewy finish, ultra light feel, easy blending, soft Dior scent. Pump bottle ( one pump covers all of my face).
CONS: limited shade range (most have pink undertone), doesn't work well with concealers, not long lasting.
Perfect for people with dry skin, but not everyone likes the smell. I would buy this again.

I loved this foundation when I first got it -- it gives a great luminous finish and does not look like I've painted my face on. Unfortunately, I've found that it doesn't hold up to Singapore's humid weather (few liquid foundations do =( ) and I keep having to blot ever few hours. My BB cream lasts longer than this liquid foundation even if I haven't set the BB cream with powder! Sadly, this isn't a re-purchase for me. Really wanted to stick with it, though.

This is a light coverage ftn., blends nicely, goes on smoothly and it looks really dewy post app, however it does become a bit greasy after a few hours....
It's a good daily foundation if you can withstand having to mattify your face with powder every couple hours.....

I've tried many different types of foundations ranging from Pure Minerals to cheap brands like Cover Girl. This is the only foundation that I liked enough to use every day. I can barely feel it on, and that is saying a lot since I can even barely stand the feeling of mineral makeup on my skin. I like how this foundation doesn't use thickness to cover up imperfections. It uses light reflecting particles so that even a little bit can change how radiant your skin is completely without being to obvious. A benefit to this product is that it has spf 15. Usually my skin gets irritated by spf's but this one I could tolerate. I've actually noticed the difference an spf has made after using this product daily.

My comments virtually mirror those of Elizabetheva's (the reviewer below this review).
I have quite good skin for my age and really wanted a light foundation, and something to make my skin glow and have light reflecting qualities. I remember I bought this in summer (it lasts 12 months once opened) and I was so-so about it used it once or twice but not sold. Then, in the winter months I thought, sod it, rather than just use my usual concealor for redness etc and light reflecting touche eclat for under the eyes I'll try the Dior foundation. Now I noticed my skin glowed, looked more even, had a nicer texture once the foundation was on (I've ditched the other products) but wasn't sure if anyone else noticed, until my mum when I met her for lunch said what a great foundation it was and my friend when I met her for lunch last week said the same, ie I glowed etc. So that sold me. The other foundation which got me compliments was Chanel Teint Innocence (diff texture).
I wear this with Chantecaille blush in Mood and look good to face the day. The SPF 15, oil free and skin lightrning sheer qualities are all bonuses of the foundation for me. I use shade 100 which is a good match for my skin tone (neutral/yellow with a slight touch of pink). Yeah I'd love for there to be more shades but this ticks the boxes for me.
    Highly recommended.

Oh hell yeah I would buy this product again.
It is hands down the best ever foundation I've ever had. The fact that the bottle is now half gone is saying a lot (usually I'm bored or displeased with a foundation by now). 100 is the perfect, best-ever color for my fair pink-undertoned skin. It does not get oily during the day, and it blends perfectly. I absolutely couldn't be happier. It makes me feel like I'm looking at a picture of my face that's been airbrushed, on top of that it wears like a tinted moisturizer. It's light feeling, and never ever looks cakey or obvious. Very natural looking. The best. Love it.
It's in a sanitary and easy to travel with pump container. I'm not sure about the formulation of the spf in this product. I tend to be wearing an spf moisturizer that I depend on, so it hasn't been a concern of mine. Something to look into, however, if you're wanting to use it for UVA/UVB protection.
I only dinged it one lippie because the price kills me. If you know any cheaper products that are similar to this one, please let me know.

I tried a sample of this is shade 100 and it was much to dark/orange for me (I'm NC15). It was so noticible I had to wash it off before leaving the house. Sadly, not a good color match for me-will definitely not buy.

    I LOVE THIS!
I use Ivory 100, applied with my middle and ring fingers.
    PROS:
-one pump gives the exact amount you need for your face
    -matched perfectly to my skin
-is light but gives decent coverage
    -doesnt feel cakey
    -gives dewy look
    -gives skin a healthy glow
-you get alot of uses out of the one bottle
    -perfect for dry skin
    CONS:
-mine was 47$ which is pretty expensive
    -won't give you full coverage
-has pink undertones which may not work for everyone
I personally have no complaints in that I don't need something with full coverage, my skin can be dry and flakey with certain foundations but definately not this one. The only thing I didn't like was the price.

I just love this foundation. Its light, sheer, looks natural and leaves your skin with this beautifull glow. I apply it with Dior foundation brush or with fingers, both techniques are fine. Just a light application of powder with a brush to set your foundation, and voila... you are ready to go. The price is not unreasonably high for the brand and quality, plus it has great bottle with little pump, which is super easy to use and keep clean since you do not stick your fingers inside the bottle. I am using it for over 2 years now and will definitely keep buying it.

I like this product just fine, it is just that, fine, but not impressive or outstanding in any way. I have been on the constant search for a replacement for my beloved Lancome Ultra Confort, but alas, this one also failed me. It is a nice, lightweight foundation, but not moisturising enough for my sometimes dehydrated skin :(. I find it to have some kind of powder finish to it, even though it is 'light reflecting'. I also found it difficult to find a good shade for me, I am very yellow toned, and any thing that has any pink in it whatsoever, makes me look grey and ashen. I got the shade #301 Blonde, but this was not yellow enough for me. The search continues for my HG foundation....
