The BE mineral eyecolors do need a primer for full effect and longevity on most (98%) people, including me; Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay's primer will work just fine, but BE's primer is good too (if you have another primer you like, feel free to stick with it). That being said, I love the texture, blendability, and longevity of these gorgeous eyeshadows. I can never have enough of them. They require some more application time than compact-based eyecolors, but they're worth it when you have the time. Surprisingly little fallout for a powder.
The glimmers are the best things going for the BE shadows--most of the best shades are in this category. The shimmer isn't too bad, even though I'm over thirty. :)

I love these shadow/glimmers...super pretty and always look gorgeous on...can be applied lightly or more for a dramatic look. Only problem is how messy it can get, or God forbid you don't tighten it enough, stuff gets everywhere! Other than that, it lasts forever and is a beautiful product.

I love experimenting with all the glimmers. They are slightly shimmery without overdoing it which makes them perfect for day jobs. I apply over my UDPP of course, so I'm not sure if they would crease or not. They are very easy to work with and blend nicely.

Quite simply, this is the best eye shadow I have *ever* used. For $13, you get a small container, but only a small amount of powder gives you a beautiful coverage with a slight glitter--so it should last even with frequent use. I've tried it dry (more subtle) and wet (more glittery). It blends well. I got 2 complementary shades of copper/brown and asked for some shades of gray/silver for Christmas. And here is the thing--it LASTS ALL DAY. I put it on at 6:30 AM, and it is still pretty at 5:30 pm after work. I've never had eye shadow that worked this well. Definitely a keeper!

I love these so much. I have super sensitive eyelids and most shadows (even high end ones like Dior) leave my lids red and scaly. I asked my derm. and she said it's probably a reaction to the dyes in most shadows. Well these are dye free, their colors come from the different levels and types of minerals used. Now I can wear any color I want with no reaction. Now that BE is much easier to find than it was 4-5 years ago I love them even more.
As a side note I also like to mix these with a tiny dab (TINY DAB) of Rosebud Salve to use a cream eyeshadow when I'm in a hurry or when my lids are overly dry.

I love the shadows from Bare Escentuals. The glimmers are a lot of fun as they are a bit shimmery. I don't think they are too much for the daytime if they are applied lightly. The colors are really quite fabulous and the formulas are amazing. They blend well and don't crease. I give these out to my friends (I am part of their seasonal eyeshadow club) and they love them too!

I find these to be too glimmery, even when applied dry. I have the faux fox and Grace...I do like the color of Grace so I still use it, only applying a very little bit.

I really liked the BE glimmer shadows....I don't have a lot of experience wearing eye shadows, just started really when my roommate gave me her whole collection of BE to try out...so I did! I apply with UDPP b/c I have oily lids, and the shadows go on smoothly and evenly and the pigments are really great. They last all day with no movement, and I don't seem to have a problem applying them. Also, they never bother my eyes, and I wear contacts so any bits falling in my eyes really does a number on them. I love them so much I went out and bought some of my own, and I got my mom and friend to buy some b/c the colors are so great. They really last a long time too as you don't need much at all. I haven't really paid attention to which ones I like and what their names are, but I do like grace a lot...it's like a magic shadow. When I apply it, it looks more gold on the inner corner area, but looks rosy on the outer areas...it's like applying 2 shadows at once! If my roomie ever pries these out of my cold, dead hands I'll have to start my own collection!

This is for Glamorista glimmer. I could not find where to put this in the title and didn't see any other reviews for just the glimmer. Anyway--this is simply gorgeous! It's like a dusty green/antique gold glimmer that is so pretty. If you like Purrfect you will love this one. It's pretty as a liner too. It doesn't apply too harshly and blends well. I love it.

Like the reviewer below, Celestine is my favorite eyeshadow, I have used it for years ever since a very helpful MUA recommended it to me as a shade that worked for almost everyone. I love the sparkle and especially love to put it below my bottom lash line and in the corner of my eyes at night to make them glow. It's never irritated my eyes. I've already repurchased even though it lasts and lasts... Because of Celestine I went out and bought other glimmers. I like the line and other colors but nothing seems to have the same level of sparkle as Celestine for me, not sure why!

The BM Glimmer Celestine is one of my favorite products. IIts so pigmented and the product itself lasts for a long time. I use it when I'm going out to give my face some umpf. Its perfect as a more neutral shimmery eyeshadow, a brow bone highlighter AND as a cheek highlighter. I'm sure I could also use it by adding to my lipgloss to make a shimmer though I haven't tried (mental note to self!)
I love this product and think its well worth the price for how versitale it is.

I love the glimmers. I have over a dozen of them. I love the fact that they barely "glimmer" a color rather than paint a color on. I prefer the golds and browns. They really make my green eyes stand out. I prefer to use them wet. When I do that, they will last all day.
A couple weeks ago, I fell asleep at night with my makeup on. When I woke up the next morning, my eyes still looked great! I definitely recommend all glimmers.....I really recommend all BE eye products. They all layer very smoothly since they are made of the same mineral base.

I really do love the glimmers. The BE colors are truly fantastic and there are just so many to choose from. I love how long they last on the eyes during the day - whether I where a primer or not. I like being able to use dry or wet. At first I was a bit messy with the application and the lid - but I have learned to save more than I lose when putting the lid back on. That may be the biggest con or downside to the shadows - they do come in powder form and can be messy at first. The price can be a smidge intimidating, however, you won't be running out of this product quickly. You don't need much on your lids to get the color you want. I expect that my little jars will last a very very long time.

I love the loose minerals. The product is easy to work with (after a brief learning curve). The glimmers are very pigmented and most contain a lot of sparkle. If you want to amp up the color then it can be applied wet. The product lasts all day. I don't have to worry about my eyeshadow wearing off like I did with many other brands.

A little about me: Extremely fair, neutral coloring with pink and yellow undertones. Very dry, sensitive skin, that tends to overproduce oil. My eyelids get very oily. And no eyeshadow will stay put unless I use a primer. My eyes are very sensitive and dry, and green with brown / yellow in the middle.
Let me just say, BE eyeshadows (especially the glimmers and glimpse versions) are my favorite eyeshadows, and really the only ones I wear now. You get a lot of product as you really don't need much to get some beautiful color. And since I'm very fair, and litle color goes a long way on me.
I love the Glimmer line. My favorite colors are Heart, Nude Beach, Envy, and Soiree. They apply smoothly with the Doubled Ended Precision Brush, are easy to blend, and stay fairly well when I wear a primer on my eyelids (I like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion). They have great pigmentation, and just enough shine and, well, glimmer, to give you a beautiful, awake look. They don't irritate my eyes much (everything irritates them to some degree). I don't wear contacts so I don't know how they do in that department. Overall, I really love these. They are a bit messy, but I honestly can't think of a better way to package them; it's just the nature of the product. Give them a try; I think you'll really like them.
*EDITED 17 March 2008: It turns out, these loose eyeshadows ARE bothering my eyes. I have sensitive eyes to begin with, and I just thought that all shadows bothered them and these weren't any worse. I was wrong. I started wearing an Avon shadow with an eye primer underneath, and my eyes weren't bothering me at all. So if you have sensitive eyes, just beware that these loose shadows may bother you. I think the problem is just that they are hard to control and more likely to get in your eyes. They are still beautiful shadows, however, so don't write them off immediately. Still give them a shot but just keep your receipt in case your eyes bother you. I won't repurchase (unless I get sucked in again, lol) just because they bother my eyes. continued >>

I do love BE eyeshadows. I have one in particular that I love. It is a nice taupe/pink that is one of my favorites. I use eye primer and they last most of the day and evening on me. As for price, they are kinda pricey, but I have had that color for at least 3 years and there is still a bunch in there. They will literally last a life time!

Best eye shadows ever! They come in so many gorgeous colors. Everyone can find ones they love. They come in powder so they last for EVER! I've had this one color (moss) for so long I can't even remember when I bought it! The only negative is that they aren't fully on at the end of the day. They tend to fade to be a little more dull. However, eye primer solved this completely! I love them!

BE Glimmers come is such beautiful colors and they last all day. One pot will last you forever, which makes them a great value. The only complaint that I would have (and this is for all BE products) is that the sifter allows too much powder to collect in the top of the pot so if you are not careful it can get messy.
