This lipstain doesn't really stay long, comes off like regular lipstick, and even accentuates my already dry lips. I think it's a waste of money.

This product sucks. The Color pay off is wack, its drying to the lips, and looks dry. You need to add your own gloss. I prefer the nyc version for like 2 bucks, however i dont use either one. Waste of money.

Smells great...like a sweet sugar...or cake batter...but the stain does NOT stay. Even if you dry your lips first and wait a while....Waste of money! I would rather use a regular lipstick that I KNOW will wear off than something that I expect to stay on and then fade away....

I really did not like this product. It transfers like no tomorrow and comes off just like normal lipstick. "Outlast" that is a joke. I would not recommend it to anyone. I am glad it has a low rating on here and that many people found it to be a total waste of money. Drys the lips too.

I love Cover Girl's lip liners and lipsticks but this lipstain is an absolute bust. It's dry, has absolutely no color payoff, and is pretty much the OPPOSITE of what a lipstain is. It's almost as if the product is completely dried up when you use it for the first time. Any color you do happen to get on your lips (which is a miracle, btw) is so flakey and dry. It like crumbles off of your lips, too. Horrible lipstain. Doesn't stain your lips, doesn't even put color onto your lips, just horrible product in general.

Awful product and a complete waste of money. The color fades very quickly and it will magnify lip dryness. I do better by layering lipliner, then sealing with clear lip balm. Do yourself a favor and skip this product. :-(

Would be 5 if it didn't dry out so quickly.

All it's other issues can be dealt with by exfoliating before use, using a lip liner etc etc. However it is just not acceptable that it lasts a little over a week.

Let me start this review by saying I have never in my life bought a lipstain. For awhile, I didn't understand the bold lip look nor did I understand how to match shades to my skin tone. (read: I basically created my own aversion to lip color because I was beauty stupid.) However, I have recently come to "figure it out" when it comes to lip wear.

I found this product at my local Big Lot's for a STEAL of a price. I've become better good judge of the products that come from Big Lots and this was one of the best I've seen! I paid $2 for this product, and for that price, I'd probably try other shades. I personally picked up the 415 shade, and according to Covergirl 415 is called "Teasing Blush." Online it looks more Lavender, but when applied, it showed up MUCH MUCH more red. Personally, I really like the color but I would have been disappointed if I had been looking for something with more blue/lavender hues.

For the first ten minutes, the color was true to application without fading. Then, the next hour and half was all downhill. The stain faded quickly and after two hours the stain was nearly completely gone. I was not pleased with the longevity of the product at all!

As far as packaging and application, I'm pretty happy. I applied this product like a lip liner in strokes, and filled in my lips after. I did notice myself using quite a bit of product to get the strong stain I was looking for. I didn't notice my lips to be dry at all, and almost seemed a little bit tacky for the first 15 or so minutes. I do like that it didn't dry me out, but I could have gone without the tack. I like the marker like application, and the applicator on my product was soft and ready to go. The product itself was scented sweetly and I really enjoyed it. I do like the packaging overall; the pen is thick enough to be comfortable but not too thick to be annoying. The packaging and application were probably the highlight of this product.

Overall, I'd buy this product again under the same circumstances. I love the color, the package, and the scent. However, it wears quickly and lays tacky when layered. I WOULDN'T purchase at retail price.

I used to have this in a deep pink color... I forget the name now. It was alright. Lasted a while on the lips. It was very drying though- I would put a lip gloss on top of it. Personally, I like Revlon's lip stains better.

Terrible. It doesn't stay on long at all and makes little dried skin pieces come up on my lips. It feels like I'm rubbing a dry erase marker on my lips. Sometimes the product doesn't even come out.
