Like other Chanel Joues Contraste blushes, I was sad to see this one discontinued. It's a beautiful shade of ballerina pink, and while I would not call it natural (I do not blush this particular hue of pink), it adds a lovely subtle pop of color to my very fair complexion (NW5-10; NARS Siberia). I have the Euro version, which I believe is slightly more pink than its US counterpart. I love the finish, which is flawless and glowing; Chanel JCs are definitely my favorite blushes for the finish alone. I only wish I had a backup!

Please click continued for the swatch and the actual product pic. I'm reviewing the Euro version and fyi, I'm a neutral PPP with freckles, currently using Cle de Peau Refining Liquid fdt in I10/ Chanel Teint Innocence in #10 Albatre. Note that this is still available in Hong Kong, instead of being really discontinued.
I was always trying to avoid this blusher at the beginning as in the counter tester, it looked like a garnish dusty pink. I suppose it's due to poor maintenance of this pretty charm at the counter over here. I got mine from swapping and for God's sake, it is nothing like what I saw at the counter though still being the same old Euro version. It's a very pretty pale doll pink which is leaning towards the cool side. Definitely not as cool toned as Turbulent. I am glad that it didn't look off against my complexion as I have freckles, just mentioned above. Some really cool toned blushers look really odd on me, say Shu Uemura Glow On in M Pink 32E. It is a lavender-ish pink. Read my review if interested. I didn't notice any observable shimmers in the pan but it still provides the typical JC glow. Just not as glowy as those with apparent shimmers in the pan like Orchid Rose and Reflex. The shimmer level is just like the one in Rose Dust. Also, the glow is a subtle and natural silvery one, not a golden one.
I also own JCs in Rose Dust and Orchid Rose, but by far, this is my favourite. Don't get me wrong, I still like the other 2. My hand jsut grab this automatically, lol. It's just like the pink that my own skin will produce normally, along with the healthy skin subtle glow.
However, I have a feeling that this doesn't last as long as the other 2 JCs I have. Not sure if it's because this is a lighter colour? But still, I'm very in love with this. I can go without touch-up for this max for 8 hours, while I can go for 12 hours for the other 2 JCs I also have. So, still pretty good.
Some girls are having problems to make this show up on skin and I don't have this problem at all. I guess try using a denser and "stiffer" brush? I'm using the Euro version Face Contour Brush (#5) by Chanel though I need to brush it against the pan for more times than my other 2 JCs. Still, this is decently pigmented as the colour is buildable. You can complain that it takes mroe time, but somehow I prefer it this way - I can build up to what I want instead of dusting my cheek full with colour that I actually need to swipe them away or to blend like hell.
Btw, I love the rosy scent and I can actually stick my nose to sniff it, lol. Anyway, it's gone when applied onto my skin. No allergic reactions caused to me until now.
Pics taken without flash next to my room window when there is some sunlight.

I really like the packaging of this because there is a little mirror inside and there is an elegant chanel sign on the front. The only thing I didn't like about the packaging though was that the brush that comes along with it is so small that I had to throw it away and buy a nice brush separately. The really light color looks nice on porcelain skin but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has a dark tan. Also, if you forget to use a highlighter, then the pale color of this blush kind of highlights the skin by itself. I was surprised by this the first time I used it because I usually use darker blush colors (suck as coral or the chanel InLove blush color). What I disliked about this blush was that sometimes it's hard to apply it to your cheeks, because you need to go over the color 6-10 times until some actually gets onto your brush.

When I was gushing over the Chanel counter just before Christmas and trying to resist but failing, I tested the blushes on my hand and this stood out, the colour so pretty and it seemed to have little shimmer though it which I loved, so I trawled around town until I could find somewhere that had it in stock. It was very expensive, for what you get when you open the compact up is a little circle of it and a pretty useless brush in terms of size for your cheeks, but beautiful beatiful packaging, absolutely perfect in that sense. It goes on quite lightly and I can't ever really see it have the sparkle and beautiful colour that I thought it did in the shop. I wouldn't purchase such a small thing for almost thirty pounds, when I can maybe get a little blusher in similarity somewhere else for much less just because it isn't Chanel.

Why did they stop making this? The perfect pop of pink on my fair skin. Glowing but no sparkles. I must find a back up.

Um, wow this is a great blush! So I was looking for a nice soft looking kinda cool/neutral pink blush. I kept reading about the infamous Chanel Narcisse & a lemming was born. Was bummed when I heard this was discontinued. I have & love Deep Throat but I wanted something a little pinker for different looks. I actually found Narcisse at a counter in my local Macys. I immediately bought it for fear that I'd never get the chance again. The color is very warm looking in pan but doesn't look warm on the skin. I personally find the blush to be very pigmented. The first time I wore it I swiped my brush over the blush twice & immediately put too much. I looked like a clown. I tried it again with one light swipe & the color gives my cheeks a very natural soft pinky glow. The staying power is very good. The price is outrageous but hey, it comes with the Chanel territory. The packaging is a bit clunky and can be prone to fingerprints but it's very elegant looking. I hope this lasts cause I can't afford to buy a backup if this is really discontinued. continued >>

I adored this colour, I thought it was the perfect pink and wore it often..until I saw myself in some pics and it just looked so clownish. I prefer to look natural so sadly my hunt for the perfect blusher continues!
EDIT I gave this blusher another try and I have to say I am in love again! I think the colouring was slightly off on the computer I viewed the pics on because I saw them on a friend's computer and the colour looked fine! It really is a gorgeous shade and I am glad I didnt throw it out! :)

This is my favourite blusher ever! I'm really fair skinned so many blushes look too clownish on me, but this delicate pink shade is so pretty and natural looking and if I do want a slightly darker look it's easy to build up the colour. I'm not a huge fan of the little tiny brush that comes with it - I just apply it with my normal blush brush and it looks much better. Thankfully it's not been discontinued in Europe (I live in the UK) and I can't imagine it ever being because I know so many people who swear by it.

I admit that the craze surrounding the discontinuation of this blush is what made me want to get it. It lives up to the hype though. Narcisse is pretty much a blush dream come true for my skintone. Narcisse is a bright yet muted pink that seems to have an ever so slight touch of lavender in it. It is not dusty, muddy, or brown in any way. In short, it is the perfect shade for someone like me who has extremely pale, cool toned skin.
Although the blush is fairly light it is not chalky. It has a lovely texture and doesn't look cakey on, even with a few layers. It just seems to melt into the skin, leaving a natural flush on the cheeks. It gives me that wonderful just in from the cold look. The lasting power is excellent. I put it on in the morning and it lasts all day long until I take off my makeup at night.
I know that at this point it is very hard to find Narcisse. I had originally ordered it online only to have it cancelled and so I had to go to my always desolate Macy's counter to get it. But it is worth tracking down. I went to Sephora and swatched just about every light pink blush I could find and never found a dupe. I truly don't believe that there is anything that can compare in texture, color, or quality to this blush. It is very pricey and the brush that comes with it is absolutely worthless IMO, but a color like this only comes out every so often, so I'd say that this is an investment I won't regret making. If you can find it, I say get it!

OMG! They are discontinuing MY BLUSH! I am fair with slightly pink undertones (I wear Fair in BE as a shade match) and I have had this blush for about 2 years and I've barely made a dent in it. This is THE BLUSH for fair girls. This compliments my skin tone making me look like a porcelan doll practically. I love how this just wakes up my skin making me look radiant and glowy and... omg I gotta go buy another before its all gone!
Go get some or at least try this!
    BEST BLUSH EVER!

As a self-proclaimed blush addict (I have a drawer dedicated to blush...'nuff said) I own colors from all over the spectrum. And this is probably the one I reach for the most. It is the prettiest ballerina pink blush. It also happens to be the finest milled, softest blush I own. It is just absolutely gorgeous!! I am NC15 and this shows up as a glowy cute sweet pink. Not to mention, this smells *amazing* like sweet rose petals. This is not the color you naturally blush, however. That would go to NARS Exhibit A, a fire-engine red blush (my cheeks turn extremely red when I blush) However, this is the color you turn to when you want to look delicate and sweet, like a porcelain doll!

After lemming this blush for awhile, but unsure if it was too cool for my neutral complection I finally caved- only to find that this shade is being discontinued by chanel. Of course this only deepened my lemming for the product as I am a limited edition whore. After calling 5 stores in my area I finally tracked it down, and I am glad that I did. With a light hand this is the perfect pink. Chanel blushes are my absolute favorite and blend seemlessly into skin. Track one down before they are gone forever and you will have to pay out the nose on evilbay.

I love blush. Blush and I go back to when I was 10 and was told by a cousin that I looked beautiful when I got mad.. lolol. Well when I get mad I get pink!
It is for this reason that subconsciously I always gravitate to pink tones which make me look "mad"... it might be silly but it is. Of course I don't overlook all the lovely peaches, melons, cantelopes, raspberries, so I am a blush collector too.. but this Narcisse came into my life at a Duty Free airport.. sigh. I love it and it makes me look not mad -- but as my hubby says.. Hot! At my age, it must be miraculous.
But it is a wonderful blush -- color wise not for dark skins as it probably won't show. Price: high as all Chanel products. Case: sturdy Chanel black. Pigmentation -- good for me, again, if I were a bit more tan, I would not pick this shade.
    Would I repurchase.. oh yes!

    This is a GREAT blush!
I like Dandelion by Benefit but this one is even better: delicate pink glow that looks super natural. It might be to light for people with darker skin tones but for fair skinned ladies is a must. It also gives this slight glow to you skin. This blush and Guerlain bronzer for blondes make my skin so luminous.

I have upwards of 25 blushes in my collection at any given time and nothing compares to this one. I often reach for Benefit's Dandelion or Kevyn Aucoin's Shadore on a day to day basis because I truly love those suitable-for-anything pink colors. But I've been searching for something a little more soft in tone that would give my cheeks a glowing look without imparting too much color.
This is everything I've been looking for and I'm so happy with this purchase! The color looked almost too warm toned in the pan, but goes on beautifully light and sheer. Almost like a pink-flesh color with the perfect amount of shimmer. It makes my skin look healthy.
The quality is outstanding--just a little bit goes a long way. The fragrance made me nervous at first because my skin is so sensitive but I haven't had any problems at all. This is a must-have for me!

Love this blush! So happy with the adorable baby flush that it brings to my face. Knocks years off. On an everyday basis I don't wear much make up, but I never go without a bit off colour from this blusher. Ok the brush is hopeless for the job, but I use a face powder pad to apply and this fits nicely in the compact. Never been so happy with a blusher.

I've used this blush every day for years. It goes with everything and gives you a healthy, natural glow. The brush is not the best, but when the product is this good you can overlook it. Whilst it's a little bit pricey, it lasts for ages!
