I got this in a DHC travel set I bought for a short trip. Personally I do not like facial soap as I find they are difficult to manage. However one thing I have to agree is that a bar lasts you much longer and it's more economical. Overall no complains i like that's it's mild and did not dry up my skin but still gives the squeaky clean feeling. However, I cannot give it a 5 because as with most DHC products, the olive oil ingredient caused me oil seeds... =(

I have been using this soap for almost 10 years now. My skin has changed quite a bit during these 10 years, but this soap still accommodates to all my needs. I remember when I first used it how amazed I was to feel my face feeling so smooth and gentle after the wash. And very soon after, my breakouts slowed down.
When I get lazy and stop bringing it to the gym and use something else it breaks out. (Ok, let's be honest a soap bar it not very convenient to use at the gym.) Now, I do bring it with me when I know I will be working out.
Someone mentioned this soap gives you that squeaky clean feeling. I agree, but it is not drying. This soap does not claim to moisturize. It is supposed to help maintain your skin’s moisture balance. So obviously if your skin is dry you would want to put moisturizer on right after you wash. Which is exactly what I do and it has worked for years.
I like to let the soap do the cleaning, and the moisturizer to do the moisturizing.

I would say that this product is just average and to compare on other products with the same quality, this is expensive. There are other cleansers which are at the same quality but at a cheaper price. Anyway, this soap is gentle for anytype of skin and it moisturise your skin well. I had a sample to try and it can last for a period of time(my opinion) because I'm still using it now. I think that this type of soap are not hygenic enough, I prefer those in tube. This is just a simple soap which cleanse your face and I doesn't feel much difference after using it. The reason for me not buying this product again is it's too expensive and it's nothing special than those cheaper ones.

I use this in conjunction with the cleaning oil, which is divine. I decided to just buy the mini Mild Cleansing Soap and find that it is going to last me a long time - and buying it that way it isn't expensive. I love the little two piece holder it's shipped in - I'm still using it to keep the soap in. I get a lovely, creamy, abundant lather that dissolves any cleansing residue and leaves my face actually squeaky clean which is alarming, because we are always told that's bad, but my skin has never been this soft, and I always follow up with serums and moisturizers otherwise this soap would be too tight. I feel so fresh and clean and my skin feels firmer and glows. I also love the Q10 Body Soap - OMG I thought I had soft skin before!!! In fact, all the DHC stuff I use makes my corresponding parts softer than anything else!!

When I first used this soap, I couldn't stop sniffing the smell, to me it was like rice or something. Although the lather of the soap was okay until after washing my face was too squeaky and kind drying which is good for my very oily face in summer. I figured it's mild soap and soap is meant to have different pH balance etc. At the moment I'm using Washing Powder which I find it more suitable for my face but I still alter it with this Mild Soap occasionaly.

I'm not very sure about this product. I mean it's good, but doesn't work for me. It cleans my skin generally, not deeply clean as other cleanser, because I can still feel my nose a little bit oily after using it, but I still think it does a good job. However, it potentially makes my forehead break out, I don't know why, but it just happened. Thus, I can't use it on my face as part of my daily skin care routine. Then I use it as part of my make up removing process, and I use it after DHC cleaning oil, and use my daily cleanser after this product, then my skin feel quite clean, so that's the way I use it.
BTW, I use it as brush cleaner as well XD.

So far this is my favorite soap. I'm not a soap type person (I like cleanser in a tube) but I keep using it. It cleans very well and it doesn't irritate my skin. Yes, it's a littile bit pricy. I wish I could find a cheap alternative for it.

I love this soap, but it is too expensive. I've purchased it several times and honestly I'll probably purchase it again. When i use drugstore type cleansers, my face seems to get reddish or ruddy looking on the cheeks and chin line. This soap clears that right up and keeps my skin looking good. But I do think it's overpriced.

I love this mild cleansing soap. I know soaps get a bad rap, but this is very mild with rich foaming action that is silky on the skin. I can't believe how easily in rinses, easier than any other cleanser I've used. It leaves my skin soft and clean.
It isn't cheap, as the soft glycerine can melt if not stored properly, so it doesn't last like a pump bottle would, but I store it in a dry place and have no problems with it.
The packaging is just average, not frills.
I love the collection of goodies that make this soap feel heavenly to the touch.

I use mild soap after cleansing with DHC's cleansing oil and it is the most gentle soap I have ever used on my face. No tight feeling after I dry my face, low lathering, doesn't sting my eyes and though it is expensive (I paid $15 for one bar) it does last a very long time. It also does a fine job of taking off all of my makeup as I have at times skipped using the pre cleansing oil on nights when I am more tired than usual. I do wish it came with its own soap dish. Minor annoyance. Wonderful product on my sensitive skin. Will repurchase.

I feel very dry and stripped after using this soap. I pair it with the DHC deep cleansing oil. But I just can't see why this soap deserves such a high price tag. Will not repurchase.

I have so wanted to like this product, trying out several sample bars for many years. But, every time I use it, my face feels tight, stripped, and dry. I don't have dry skin nor do I live in a dry climate. I have that annoying 30-something skin, where you have to deal with oilies and occasional breakouts, but start developing dry patches and your skin can't tolerate being denied on the moisture front. But the thing is, I started trying this out in my, oh my goodness where does the time go, twenties when my skin was oil city and even then I found stripping thing going on. I do have very mild rosacea, so this may account for my experience, rosacea skin needs super gentle approach. I'm not making this a one lippie because to be fair to DHC, with their sample policy I'm always raving about, you won't get burned investing in this; they'll happily give you many a freebie of this to try out before you plonk down money. Also, while it made my face too tight, it didn't inflame it--something that's a nightmare for people with rosacea.

Love this soap. First, it is incredibly gentle and has the softest lather I've ever put on my skin. Second, it lasts for months. Third, the packaging is such a treat, I feel like I'm opening a present.

This product is ok, It worked well for my skin for about a week, then my face started feeling really dry.. I normally have normal-dry skin so this bar does not work well for that. It lathers very well, and leaves you with a squeeky clean, which is good.. If it wasnt so drying to my skin I would continue to use it. It would probably be good for normal-oily skin complexions.. Overall not bad, just not good for my complexion

I could not live without this product in combination with Deep Cleansing Oil. The soap sudses up wonderfully, feels and smells fabulous, and rinses off quickly leaving no residue. I feel SOOO good after washing with this combo. On top of the effects, I must give kudos to the packaging of this product. It arrives in a beautiful box, wrapped in pleated paper, and tied with a ribbon. I feel like I'm totally "treating myself" every time I order a new soap!

I love this soap. I use it after deep cleansing oil. The combo is perfect. I have normal skin and T- zone oily. These products last a really long time, so the price is justified. I love DHC products and have been using them for 2 yrs.

Thank you DHC, thank you so much! I use this with my deep cleansing oil, and have been for about 2 months now. I have extremely oily skin, and have never been without a breakout my whole life. I for once, have clear skin! I also purchased the powdered soap, but much prefer this mild one! It does leave me feeling a wee bit tight, but I don't care because it works so dang well! If it's winter I'll use the olive oil moisturizer, but in the summer I have no need for it!
Please, give this a try if you have problem skin! I bought the travel size olive essentials kit to try it out, and it has saved me!

I took 2 samples of the soap on holiday with me and was not impressed! I usually like DHC's products but the soap just made my skin feel tight and stripped away its moisture. My face is already dehydrated and the soap just made it worst.
I think its best suited for oily skinned girls, as it does give a squeeky clean feel to the skin.
One sample lasts a very long time, maybe 4 days if used twice a day. I couldnt detect a smell to it and unlike some facial soap bars I've used, the soap didnt get soggy after the first use.

After reading the reviews, I bought a travel size set and received a tiny bar of this in it. After using it for a few weeks, I will not purchase this in full size, but will probably elect to buy the Q10 soap leaves instead. No problems with breakouts, but it's just a little too heavy for my skin, and leaves me feeling and looking too shiny and slick, and leaves my skin with a coated feeling. I preferred the Q10 creme because it left my skin feeling like buttah when I used the sample. One positive is that it seems to lather up quickly and the sample has lasted longer than some full-sized bars of soap I've had in the past.

I keep straying from this because I'm a product junkie. But I always come back. I have very oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I've tried about every cleanser there is and while they work well they either dry me out, burn my skin, or cause breakouts because they don't clean well enough. This is the only cleanser that makes my skin even-toned and doesn't dry me out. It's a lot for one bar but it last such a long time. I use the DHC cleansing oil beforehand at night and it's just a great combination. I love it!
