This color/wax combo is a good idea, but i have brunette bombshell, which is way too light for black eyebrows, which makes it useless to me.

This looked interesting and I went ahead and purchased Brunette Bombshell, since I'm naturally a light brunette and it matches my eyebrows. One side has the color which is the fill and the other side a clear wax is the fix. I'm not impressed with it, I wish I could give a reason why but it just didn't wow me. I did hear that you can use the wax side to line your lips, so your l/g won't bleed.

UPDATE (01/01/2011) I finally throw this away, I would stop using it and then start again only to stop again. I've moved onto NYX Trio 22 and use the Suede eyeshadow (the single is not the same color) and MAC 266se.

Don't waste your money on this product. I think the IDEA is brilliant but both the wax and pencil are poor quality & there are much better, and cheaper! products out there
update: finally decided to throw this away! waste of space continued >>

This didn't work for me at all. The colour was fine, but the pencil crumbled and was too soft, and the wax was so soft it didn't just wear down a lot faster but it was almost impossible to sharpen. Maybe it's my sharpener (Shiseido), but I honestly don't know what would keep that thing in shape. I didn't use it everyday but it still didn't last me a month, because I had to sharpen it every single time I used it, and sometimes a few times over because the tip kept crumbling.

Not a big fan of this product and wouldn't recommend it unless chemist warehouse decides to sell it for $2au again.
The actual brow pencil leaves a lot to be desired. Doesn't work very well, needs a bit of warming to get the actual product onto the brows; color isn't very natural either.
The 'fix' side on the other hand is what saves this. It grooms the hair into place but alas it doesn't last too long. With that said, you could use a number of other products that can do the same job without having to resort to this unimpressive little stick.

I got the Urban Decay Brow Beater in Blond and absolutely love it! They now sell it at Winners and I got it for $4.99 (amazing).
It's great and it has a double side.
Side 1: Brow filler
Side 2: Wax and Brush

I picked this up for a steal at chemist warehouse. For the price I wish I'd picked up a few more. The brunette shade is lighter than most but after trying it I think this may be a good thing on me. The pencil is quite firm but goes on fine after it warms a little. The wax product is fab. Holds everthing in place!
The little brush isn't the greatest..but it does the job.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with this product!

A disappointment. I got it in Brunette, hoping it would solve my portable eyebrow problems--i.e., that I'd be able to stop carrying around a Smashbox Brow Tech AND a capped eyebrow brush with me all the time. The pencil is hard, the tip crumbles as you use it, and you can only make fine lines, which takes a while. And the waxy tip did not push my brows into shape--for that I guess you have to use a combo of the brush, more pencil, and more wax, I guess. It's going back, sad to say!

I've been using this brow product for the past few years after I tried my mom's one day. The color is great (blonde) for me, my hair's naturally a dirty blonde color and the blonde isn't too red (I often find this with brow pencils that are marked as blonde) and oddly enough, I actually get "nice eyebrows" compliments from people. My only con is the wax side - it wears down easily and quickly. Will repurchase.

Much much too light! I am a natural blonde but like my brows dark, so I thought I'd be okay with the brunette when I found it on sale. It's not even dark enough for me, I can't imagine how light it would be on an actual brunette. Also, the pencil part is stiff and doesn't apply as nicely as a quality brow powder (Smashbox, Anastasia, etc.) Another promising Urban Decay product disappoints me.

I have dirty dishwater brown hair, and use the 'blonde' shade of this pencil, which is a sort of mousy brown colour. As a result, the blonde turns out to be a great match! Perhaps even the blonde would be too dark for a 'proper' blonde?
Anyway. Apparently Urban Decay have discontinued this, according to the sales assistant, who wanted me to try the Brow Box. Buuut, I checked UD's website and its still current so I am sticking with the Brow Beater.
What I like, as well as the 3-in-1 tool is the very variable application. You have have stylised drawn on brows if you want, or you can fill in the little gaps and make everytjing look neater. I always think the look comes together when I use this, and for £4 (yes, ebay, I know...) which lasts a long time, I'm happy. And no animal testing...yay!

This is great for people who don't like fussing with 3 products to do their brows. The brunette shade works great with my dark brown hair--not too dark or light. It's easy to take along for travel, too. Only drawback is you have to be careful when sharpening the wax end, since it's soft and you might lose too much product.

I bought this on ebay, I can't remember how much I paid for it now but it was cheap. I love it!! To the girls that say the pencil end is too hard...just apply it with very gentle strokes as if you were drawing in the hairs, if that makes sense? I use a bit of wax first then fill in the little eyebrows I do have (I have half of my natural eyebrows and then I draw the rest on...) then sharpen it and draw the other half on...then I go over it with a cheap NYC brow pencil I have and use a bit more wax. Perfect, I love this stuff :D

I purchased this in Brunette Bombshell, from lovely Ebay for approx. $7 total. ( I have seen them in lots of 3 for less than $10...so never pay full price for this item). EDIT I'm sorry to have to lower the rating , but I noticed that every time I use this pencil, a few brow hairs fall out!! I just don'y have bushy brows to spare, so this one goes in the mu graveyard. I will probably use the wax end and brush ocasionally.

This is an excellent eyebrow pencil to throw in your bag! It's very convenient and no fuss at all. I love how it's dual ended, and even better that it comes with a brow brush! I apply the wax on before I draw my brows and it gives me long lasting brows! The formula really stays on! I think buying the UD's Brow Beater ($14) better deal than buying the BeneFit Brow-Zings($30). For one thing the Brow-Zings contains brushes and a tweezer that is so small it's really useless and usable! The UD's Brow Beater is only half the price and has the same lasting effect.

This is the best eyebrow product I've found to date! I have very light blonde brows and the fact that this pencil is for my hair coloring is great. The 3-in-1 product is great too, pencil, wax, and brush. Very satisfied.

I have bought this product twice now, and love it. It is, however, the first brow pencil I have tried. The hairs in my eyebrows have a mind of their own, and go this way and that sometimes. The wax end of the pencil keeps them under control, and the blonde color seems perfect for me. Unless I find something better, this is the one I will stay with.

I purchased this after seeing a FOTD of a girl whose brows I admired. I loved the fact that it has a brow brush on the cap, a wax on one side, and a brow pencil on the other. I'm always keen on the concept of multiple products in one. Unfortunately, this did not work for me at all. In fact, it actually plucked out one of my brows (!) when I attempted to use the pencil end, which is far too hard! Brow beater is an apt name, indeed! Furthermore, the "blonde" was a very poor color match for me. It made my brows look really unnatural and "drawn on." And I'm not really sure that I need a wax, considering that I don't have really bushy/thick eyebrows or coarse hair.

My main complaint is that the wax end crumbles and doesn't seem to hold my eyebrows in place.

Loved this. I was a faithful user of Chanel's brow pencil, but I wanted to try something else to see if I could save a few bucks. Chanel- $27, Urban Decay - $12.50. I am totally converting to Urban Decay's brown beater. I like it because it's hard to overdo it. The brow color itself was a bit waxy, so I didn't even use the wax end. The color matched well with my hair (I have medium brown hair). It probably wouldn't work with dark brunettes or black hair. I found Chanel's brow pencil was easy to overdo, so I was pleased when I didn't have to grab a Q-tip to lighten up my brows. I always had to touch-up my eyebrows with my Chanel pencil, whereas I did not have to do it at all with Urban Decay's. I think that is because Chanel's pencil is very soft, whereas UD's is not too soft. Will def. repurchase.
