I've been using these liners for years...I like the flannel grey and the expresso. I use them as is and sometimes will wet the end of a eyeshadow applicator and get some eyeyshadow in a similar color and go over the liner for a very long lasting smudgy look. Will keep buying it again and again.

The best eyeliner for tight lining, nothing else will stay on my waterline except this pencil. It's super pigmented and while I still sometimes get some gloop in the corners of my eyes, it's way less and happens less frequently with this pencil. I got it in brown and it's pretty much black...I also have white and it's the brightest, truest white eyeliner I've ever had. It works much better for me than the UD 24/7 liners on my waterline too. There are so many colors to choose from I suggest trying it out, I got mine for around $5 :)

2/17/12 - Mark this day in history as the first time I have been able to line my lower lash line at all in my 37 years! This is a fabulous eyeliner, and here is why!:
1) It did not smudge down one bit into my dark under eye circles.
2) The matte black and fine point allowed me to carefully dash in a soft line in my lower lash line AND still get strong bold lash line on top.
3)I showered in this...stuck my face straight into the shower and it didn't budge...even after washing my hair!
4) It's cheap - please don't ever stop selling this Ulta!
I love this liner so much and it has just opened a world of possibilities up for me. I still love my Blitz & Glitz fluidline, but I can and will always use this as a base and on the lower lash line! Allergies be damned! continued >>

I'm rating this eyeliner a 3.5.
This eyeliner doesn't really have much of a pigment. I got this eyeliner in black, and to be honest, when you line your eyes, you have to go back numerous times to re-line your eyes in order to get a decent dark gray color. If you line your eyes only once and you will have a sheer light-to-medium gray color. <--NOT desirable!
The staying power, however, is impeccable. I have oily hooded eyelids, so it's a MIRACLE to have finally found an eyeliner that can actually stay put!
Nonetheless, there is VERY minimal smudging throughout the day, which is also truly a miracle!
As for staying on the waterline...Well, this eyeliner doesn't show up on the waterline at all, but considering this is a waterproof eyeliner, I can't really complain about that.
Would I repurchase? Maybe, but only for its incredible staying power.
UPDATE 3/7/2012:
I just reread this review right now, and I think I overexaggerated. This eyeliner does NOT have impeccable staying power--it never did, it still doesn't, and it never will. It still smudges on my oily, hooded eyelids, and it still fades within 4 hours. It's also very easy to remove--all you have to do is rub with your thumb and it comes off. Although this eyeliner IS waterproof, the staying power is quite the opposite of impeccable.
Thus, this eyeliner is pretty much a dud.
I'm lowering this rating to 2 lippies.
Would I repurchase? No. continued >>

Great liner for the price. It stays on (and I have oily lids) and doesn't migrate much. I bought it in three colors!

I got this eyeliner in black, and it's well pigmented. It shows up on my upper and lower waterline. I have oily lids, so when I apply this on my lid without a primer, I find that after a while the liner starts to transfer to the crease of my lid, which I hate. Overall, good liner.

Thought this was my HG liner because it is SOOOOO black, which I love. I think it probably works better in the waterline, but outside of the waterline (like I usually use it), it smudges horribly! Also, I think there's something slightly irritating/allergic about this, because my eyes do seem a tad irritated when I wear it. I just think there might better things out there, and am looking to try L'Oreal or Stila some time soon.

Like some other reviewers, I struggled to get much definition with this. Presumably because of its waterproof formulation, it's not ideal for the waterline (which seems to repel the colour.) Used elsewhere I found that the colour (black) was less rich/intense than other liners I've used, though it also smudged less.
I prefer the creamy, smooth, dramatic colour afforded by Prestige's Total Intensity liner for my waterline. Although, the 'back by demand' (at least in the UK) Avon Supershock gel liner is even better - delivering the buttery intensity of pencils like Prestige Total Intensity or Mally Evercolor Starlight etc, but much less smudgy (and cheaper, too!)

I bought this after reading the great reviews on here.
First of all, let me just tell you - this IS waterproof. But let's not mistake that for being everything-proof. This liner smudges like there's no tomorrow - I was so excited to use it, and wanted to love it so badly, but after coming home with raccoon eyes I knew I wouldn't ever use it again.
Don't waste your money or time.

This lasts a really long time!! Pretty much all day even through the sweat and humidity. However I bought this for waterline. So when i tried this on my waterline, this product completely let me down. The black did not show up at all whatsoever!! I had to color back and forth on my waterline with so much pressure and intensity just to make it show up a little bit. So yes, if I only lined my lower lashline I would totally buy this again. (:

A reasonable eyeliner for the price. I had this in Trance, a denim blue, and it's the first eyeliner I've used up in years. I don't have smudge problems because I use this as an eyeliner then set it with a coating of dark shadow--sort of a smoky-eye express. It does fade a little as the day wears on, though, so a refresh would be necessary before going out after work. For the price, it's fine. If you want permanent, heavy duty stuff, this probably isn't it.

This is my new go-to for lining my waterline. It goes on smoothly with no pulling and LASTS.

I use this on my waterline everyday, but it fades in about 2 hours. The only reason I keep using it is because it doesn't smudge. Other eyeliners, when put on the waterline, will smudge down onto your cheeks. This one doesn't do that which is good, but it should last longer considering it's waterproof. It's cheap though, and until I can find a good alternative I'll continue using this.

Waterproof my a$$. This didn't last at all. It was a semi warm and windy day minimal watering, I didn't touch my eyes and I didn't go swimming.

I applied this at 11:00 this morning and expected it to last til well into the night. I applied this on my upper lash line, lower lash line and the waterline. The waterline disappeared about an hour later. And slowly throughout the day the rest started smearing off.

Then hours later after shopping and margaritas I passed out and took a nap. I woke up looking like somebody punched me in the eyes. That was the last straw, I should have known this didn't work because it started smudging gradually throughout the day. I seriously fell for all the great reviews. I am glad I only bought one pencil to try out. Hopefully aqua eyes and urban decay will do way better because I'm hitting those up next.

This to my surprise, it lies among the top of all the waterproof liners I have tried. It stays on very well throughout the whole day and doesn't smudge at all. It does dry a bit sitting in my drawer so it's a bit harder to glide on my eyeline after a while. But when I sharpen it to remove the product that dried, it works just as well as before. It's a bit harder to remove compared to others but to me it's ok...and it's sooo cheap!! I have one in every bags I carry. :p

GAH! I got two of these because I heard great reviews on how well they stay on the waterline. WHAAAAA???? These had zero pigmentation and wouldn't even show up on my waterline, no matter how hard I tried.
Nothing special IMO. I don't usually have problems with my e/l smearing, bleeding, etc. so this is just another d/s eyeliner for me, and a less-than-mediocre one at that.

This is one of the two eyeliners that I have finished completely! This stays on my eyes for a long time. I have watery eyes. When I put this on my lashline/waterline anyways, it only smear a little bit on to my lower lashline; it won't smear out anywhere onto my lower eyelid. When I put it on top of my lashline, it stays for the whole day; even at the outer corner of my eyes, which is the most watery&oily place of my eyes. Another thing that is good is that it is very pigmented and it's very easy to apply. However, the tip kind of breaks off very easily, so try not to sharpen it too much! continued >>

I just picked this up a week ago at my local drug store. I haven't bought drug-store eyeliner since I was in high school but I was in a pinch and had just run out of my old standby MUFE Aqua Eyes eyeliner. I honestly didn't expect much from it since my experience with drugstore eyeliners in general wasn't good. However, I needed something that would tide me over until I can get to Sephora. All I have to say is wow! This eyeliner goes on effortlessly, smoothly and VERY pigmented. In fact it was a bit more pigmented than my MUFE, Lancome and MAC eyeliners I used in the past. Staying power was equally as impressive. On my top lashes, the liner stayed on all day (morning thru afternoon) even after washing my face. On my waterline, it didn't stay on as long as on my top lashes but I haven't found an eyeliner (whether department or drugstore) that stayed on my waterline for a good amount of time. Perhaps the best thing about this product is the price. It holds its own against the likes of MUFE, MAC and other department store brands for a fraction of the price. I liked it so much that I purchased 4 more shades. I would've preferred if it came in a retractable pen applicator as opposed to pencil but this is a minor inconvenience I can live with in exchange for its quality. Definitely will repurchase.

AWESOME PRODUCT.
This is like the makeup forever aqua eye eyeliner, but just so much cheaper.
