Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Moisture Cream

I suspect there is no high grade vitamin E in this cream.

This product is almost identical to johnson's baby lotion. Only johnson's baby lotion is cheaper and contains a lot more product.

Primer/ Corrector -The Body Shop - Vitamin c skin reviver

Too expensive for an under performing product,

They changed the formula. The old formula made skin look brighter. This new formula barely does,

the formula feels irritable and uncomfortable on the skin as the day goes on.

It smells nice but so what.

The product ingredients sound like they could be found in a toxic waste dump. My skin gets bad when I wear this more than a couple of times a week.

This is the worst bb cream I've ever tried and I've tried a lot! I've wore it for 2 hours and it separated and caked up. Not to mention the coverage is nothing!!!! I hate this!

Liquid -The Body Shop - Fresh Nude Foundation

I have always been a fan of The Body Shop. I am such a fan of their body products but I have never tried their make up. I read reviews about this foundation and the reviews are mixed. But I went ahead and purchased this foundation.

The foundation comes in a bottle with a pump. The packaging definitely isn't the nicest but with the price tag it is acceptable. It has quite a wide range of shade which means there is a shade for everyone. Upon dispensing the product it feels half creamy. I find it best to apply with a buffing brush to make sure the foundation is really buffed in. Or if you want a sheer-er look you can apply this with a beauty blender. The coverage is light to medium (and it is buildable). Again my main concern is to cancel out some redness on my face so this foundation is rather perfect. It has slightly dewy finish (NOT a matte finish by any means). It is light weight and very natural. However one drawback is that the foundation oxidize after 6 hours and it can get a little bit oily after 6 hours too. Aside from that I personally feel this foundation is a great foundation for daily use.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - OILS OF LIFE INTENSELY REVITALISING FACIAL OIL

foto

I worked for The Body Shop when this launched and I have absolutely loved it since then. I no longer work there, but my love for this amazing oil has stayed. This never fails to hydrate my skin and give me a healthy glow. The ingredients really are at full effect here and you genuinely notice a difference in your skin. My only cons would be the price and the packaging. The price is understandable, as the oils sourced are done ethically and with fair trade. But regardless, it is still a high price for some. The pipette glass bottle is cute, but ultimately it just eventually means the label will fall off about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way through the bottle *sigh*. Not to mention, it means it's not air right. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I absolutely love this product. Would highly recommend, if your budget allows it..

Skincare - Face -The Body Shop - Vitamin e serum in oil

someone gave this to me as a gift and the thought of oil on my face is still new to me because It makes me think of breakouts. when I first used it I had a pimple that had become a scab which is the worst because you don't want to pick it and leave a scar but who wants a scab on their face?! after using this the first night I was actually able to cover the scab pretty well, or at least as much as is possible. the second night the scab practically fell off. by the 3rd use it had healed up almost completely. that alone is amazing to me. however, there's more. not only does my makeup look so much smoother on my dewy face, I've been able to use around my eyes (not that I'd recommend) and haven't needed anything else at night. it also seems to be helping some acne scars. I think the smell is luxurious and any greasy feel goes away by morning if not sooner. overall, I'd call this a miracle oil that I enjoy using and the packaging is adorable. as for the price, I have a hard time paying that much for anything but this may just be my new HG product.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

foto

I wanted to try out a cleansing balm - this one is pretty flaky and waxy and almost chunky in texture. I have to melt it in my hands before rubbing it on my face. It doesn't rinse as clean as the Clinique oil & balm do; it kind of leaves a residue, but I double-cleanse anyway. It took off all my sunscreen, makeup, etc. so no problems there. The scent is light and floral and pretty nice.

I have been using this face oil for quite a few months now and I love it. I apply it every night after washing my face along with the Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion and I wake up with really smooth and hydrated skin. I realized that after using the product for about a week my skin had this healthy glow.

I have sensitive skin and easily get clogged pores, however, this product has worked really well for me. It is really light on the skin and easily absorbed.

The packaging is great. I will definitely keep on using this product as part of my skin care routine.

I have this in ginger. It looked so pretty when I swatched it but on the cheeks, it is not that great. THe shimmer disappears and it's just a pink blush.

ive tried many bullet lipsticks, and this is always the one i go back to. it doesnt dry out my lips, it doesnt sink into my lip lines, and the color is so pigmented. sure it does transfer slightly but i would rather deal with the transfer than having a lipstick that sinks into every single lip line i have. literally my perfect MLBB. i have this in shade no 110 coral blush

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Italian Summer Fig Shower Gel

on 6/4/2017 8:20:00 AM

foto

This is yet another example of how a product from the same line can (and does) smell completely different to the rest of the products in the range. I absolutely LOVED the fragrance mist from TBS's Italian Summer Fig line, so was expecting to feel the same about the shower gel. But for me, this was a BIG let down. It didn't have the fresh, 'cut grass' scent of the fragrance mist at all, instead smelling very artificial and a bit like dish detergent. Its lathering capabilities were also a complete let down, leading me to use twice as much as I would usually per use (which also meant it didn't last very long). Lastly, the packaging was completely opaque, so I couldn't see how much I had left!

Overall it just didn't meet my expectations, which were set quite high after the success of the fragrance mist, and as a result I wouldn't recommend or repurchase this.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Fuji Green Tea Body Butter

I felt this had a more whipped consistency to it compared to the regular TBS body butters. As a result it had a much lighter feel and although I enjoyed using it, I don't think it moisturised my skin quite as well as its thicker cousins. The scent was really pleasant though; very fresh without being overpowering and a good one for summer. Overall I enjoyed using this and would purchase again (although I believe it's one of TBS's limited edition lines).
