Concealers -MAC -Pro Longwear Concealer

on 5/27/2018 1:47:00 PM

This is a great concsealer. To be honest so far the best I have tried. It is the only one that covers my dark undereye circles. Shop assistant have advised me to buy a complimentary highlighter with it. It was expensive but worth it. Highlighter helps highlight that dark under eye area and enhances the effect of concealer. If your under eye circles aren't too dark, concealer alone would do the job.

At first concealer felt dry on my skin, but day 3 my skin got sort of used to it and no discomfort at all. Only small min point it did crease a little on me around the under eye wrinkles. Concidering the great coverage, crease bothers me a little less.
Tip: Blend this concealer with the damp beauty blender

Liquid -MAC -Studio Waterweight Foundation SPF30

on 5/27/2018 8:40:00 AM

MAC foundations have always been exceptional in my experience, but this one was a dud. This waterweight foundation is too...watery. It has very little coverage, which I like, but it never seems to settle. It sits on top of my skin and slips and slides all around my face, even after it's been powdered. I dont wear very much, but it's visible and obvious. Another reviewer described this foundation as pilling when layered over other products, and that has happened when I've accidentally applied to much. It delivers a "wet" look instead of a dewy, moisturizing glow. I will not be be purchasing.

Highlighters -MAC -Prep Prime Fix+ PinkLite

A very good fixing/moisturizing mist. It doesn't show oily in my oily/combination skin, neither on application, nor later on. I enjoy the cooling sensation it gives to my skin. It takes about two minutes to absorb. While it does give a glowy finish, by no means does it give you the glow or shine of a highlighter - it is NOT a highlighter. It gives a very natural looking glow.

Concealers -MAC -Studio Finish Concealer

I've been using this since 2005 and hence why I would rate this as one of my Top 10 HG products. Let me share with you why....every few weeks since I was a teen I've been getting acne, just the odd spot here and there but without fail always a blemish left behind! All I have to do to make it disappear (until it does of its own accord) is apply a tiny bit of Studio Finish Concealer in NC42 with a tiny 2mm wide arts and craft paint brush (no you didn't misread that!) literally dabbed on the blemish a few times until I can no longer see it. Normal makeup brushes are not fine enough for this imo so an arts/crafts brush for under a dollar from a crafts store works fine for me. I don't wear makeup habitually but this is part of my morning routine I absolutely never ever skip. It lasts until I wash it off in the evening - so long as I don't touch my face, and if that is likely to happen I just be sure to use setting powder, otherwise I'm good.

One pot lasts absolutely years, I think I've only had to buy 3 in all these years so definitely worth it. 13 years on and one of the only products I could not be without. 10/10.

Theres something i love about this so much more than other ptoducts. It's very natural and feels heavenly on the skin, but it can be used as so many things. I mainly use mine as a primer, but it can be used for so much more. Bursts of moisture, as a fine anti drying 'setting spray', and to moisten your skin and your brushes without having to get them or your skin all wet. Its amazing. Have only gotten the original scented one so far but I'm hoping to get a flavoured one when i need a new bottle.

Highlighters -MAC -Double-Gleam Extra Dimension

on 5/25/2018 1:38:00 PM

This is really is a gorgeous highlighter. I'm partial to icy pearl toned highlighters that have an almost ice blue shift. The powder is so smooth and buttery, and can be used subtly, or built up for an out of this world glow. I must have 25 highlighters, and will never ever probably hit pan on any, but that's ok, that's what beauty junkies do! Although way back in the day before highlighters we're a super rage, I did hit pan on theBalm Mary Loumanizer, probably because I only had 2 highlighters back then..Pick this up, you won't be disappointed 💄💋💖

Eyes -MAC -Paint Pot in Bare Study

Love how this adds a subtle, yet beautiful, and not hugely obvious (yet not invisible either) sheen to your eyelids, with or without makeup. It also works as a wonderful eye primer, and you need very little for a beautiful effect. I bought this colour because of my pale skin and with or without eye makeup it adds a beautiful glow to my eyelids. Will be repurchasing.

Highlighters -MAC -Mineralize Skinfinish - Lightscapade

on 5/25/2018 12:41:00 PM

I'm pretty picky with highlighters, but this one I love. I'm super pale and it looks great on my skin tone. I'm also unable to put a dent in it! My only complaint is that it can look a bit chunky if you layer it on.

Powder -MAC -Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

on 5/25/2018 1:01:00 AM

I love Mac in general so I was pleased to find that this product works really well on me. It blends like a dream with a smooth matte finish that's great in summer. Plus, it lasts all day without me having to retouch. But, because I have super dry skin I would probably avoid using it in winter.

Lipstick -MAC -Mocha

on 5/24/2018 5:43:00 PM

This has unexpectedly become my holy grail MLBB peachy-brown (with hints of warm pink) everyday nude lipstick that doesn't look too "I've got lipstick on" but more of a nice, accentuating put-together look. I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK SO MUCH. I'd highly recommend trying it on if you have asian/tan skin with peachy undertones, and are looking for a peachy brown nude. Especially on my pigmented lips, the colour of the lipstick is definitely different to the way it looks when I actually put it on. To me it looks darker in the tube and more light and butterscotch-y on my lips - but with enough hints of warm pink to compliment my skin tone rather than clash with it. If you have a lighter skin tone, it may look a little darker, less like a nude and more like a 90's 'toast of new york' brown lip (but not too sure and I guess it always depends). If you try it at the store, I'd recommend walking around and seeing the lipstick in different lights as under the cool white mirror light the lipstick looked a bit mauvy pink, but in natural light I remember thinking whoah, it's actually more warm nude. I love that it's a Satin finish, as that's my favourite lipstick finish from MAC (feels comfortable and doesn't look too shiny or too mute - nice natural texture). On me that means it lasts long enough that I only need to reapply around lunch (and after work if I'm going out) but doesn't dry out my lips. The colour is nice and pigmented, but also buildable. Also, I gave the price 4/5 instead of 5 because it is still technically a little expensive, but I'd still say it's worth the money for the overall quality. I don't usually post reviews but I seriously had to write a review on this one, that's how much I love it. I hope it stays in the MAC lipstick collection forever!

Liquid -MAC -Studio Face and Body Foundation

on 5/24/2018 11:59:00 AM

My skin I have sensitive oily combo skin and I have big pores on my nose and get a few spots and my skins very sensitive so I have redness

I tried this foundation when I was at my friends house as she recommended it me however, I have more sensitive combo oily and she has dry. I was really hesatint Wether to put it on as I saw lots of reviews online saying that they got cystic acne! But I didn’t believe it because my friend didn’t get any acne after wearing it. I applied it with my morphe y6 brush in stippling motions and it went on very airbrushed and I didn’t even add a primer! I added Laura Mercier setting powder as I have more oily skin, I would say it’s sheer coverage but could possibly build after about 3 hours of wearing I started to notice it was getting quite cakey on the forehead and very shiny around my nose. Also parts of the foundation started to separate on my chin and nose, it also felt very itchy on my skin through out the day and it oxides a shade darker too. When I got home I noticed raised bumps on my forehead and chin which weren’t there before also it left my face very irritated when I took it off! Highly do not recommend this foundation at all.

Concealers -MAC -Studio Waterweight Concealer - NW20

on 5/24/2018 9:12:00 AM

I like this concealer, I have it in NW15 and it's great on my fair skin. I use it mainly on my undereye area. I find a tiny bit goes a long way. I only have to use a dab off the end of the applicator most of the time. I think I would waste product if I actually used the dropper. So although 9ml doesn't sound like a lot, I think this will last well. Its a pretty watery consistency, which I prefer over a heavy, creamy formula especially for my undereye area. The reason for 4 Star overall rating is that I do find that this creases veeeery slightly after about 3 hours. I haven't been using a primer, and I've been using a pretty cheap setting powder. Maybe trying it with a primer or a good quality setting powder would help. But I wish it would stay put on its own! Apart from that it's great.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC -Prep + Prime Skin

on 5/24/2018 3:02:00 AM

This is a good product. I don't really have any real complaints. I don't find the shimmer in this to be too obvious at all. It doesn't really blur any fine lines or pores, so if you need that function in a primer, this may not be for you. I also don't think it would work for dry skin all that well, but if you have combination or oily skin, I think it's great. It makes my makeup go on much more flawlessly and makes it last so much longer. I purchased three of these when I was going abroad a few years back, for fear of not being able to find it again. And I'm still using them. They haven't gone bad, spoiled or separated and you really only need a little bit, so one bottle lasts a very long time. I'm not sure I would repurchase, just because I'm a little bored of it at this point and I like to try new products. I'm also not getting any younger and I might move on to other primers that have more of a blurring effect.

Makeup Brushes -MAC -# 239 Eye Shader Brush

on 5/23/2018 11:58:00 PM

Awesome brush worth every cent! The bristles are soft, yet firm and this brush preforms like no other brush I have ever used on the lid! Fantastic brush for packing on colour, minimizing fall out, and help shadows look rich and opaque. The 239 is sturdy, well made, washes easily, retains it's shape, and no shedding. Highly recommend!

Liquid -MAC -Next to Nothing Face Colour

on 5/23/2018 7:38:00 PM

I was so excited for this product as it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for; something sheer, dewy and easy that just evened out my skintone a tad. Sadly the product seemed to weirdly oxidize on me and turned quite orange which I could somewhat stand since it's sheer, but what sadly ruined the product for me was the piling on the skin. I could wait 30-60 min for my skincare to really sink in and it would still find a way to pile like crazy.
