I've found most of my experience in using the mascara good - it gives a good coating and adds both volume and some length. However, as I removed the wand from the well recently I heard some sort of 'clump' and it seems like the entire depository of colour has attached itself to the brush, so it is no longer a brush but has the whole well of mascara around it. So while I was able to coat my lashes well previously, I now have to be careful not to smudge/clump my cheek or eyelids with extraneous product while I am trying to lightly coat my lashes.Would never purchase again, I'm really disappointed in the product considering its expense.I will go back to using Doll Eyes.

TRANSFER TRANSFER TRANSFER. This is doing exactly what Charlotte Tilbury's did for me...embarrassing TRANSFER. Really liked everything about it, even the pre-sale hype. Happily this was a free trial size I played with.

This is the second time I own this. First time it was mine was a few years ago and I remember loving it, but keep in mind it was summer time when I wore this. The second time I bought this it was about a year ago and let me tell you, this stuff is long lasting at it's finest. Not only a few spritz are enough to smell all day long, but I can only use this in the summer. I know it is a strong scent, but I don't know what happens between this and my skin, because in the colder months it smells absolutely terrible. But on hot days this is AMAZING. It blooms. It smells sweet, but not in a tacky way... it is just the perfect summer sweet scent for me. I usually wear stronger scents in winter/autumn, but this is one good exception. I love it. Also, I love the bottle. Very chic.

Shut the front door!!! Where has this been all my life??? I have been on the hunt for a foundation for the last 6 years or so. I am 58 and shortly after turning 50, foundations weren't playing nice with my skin. I have probably sampled, bought, returned over 100 formulas. I finally settled on alternating between IT Cosmetics CC and Laura Geller Balance and Brighten, not entirely satisfied with either, but at least the finish was doable and didn't make my complexion look worse.I dislike liquid or cream foundations...love powder, but it's so hard to find one for older skin.I had a sample of this that has sat on my desk for a couple of months...I looked at it last week and fondly remembered my first publishing job out of college...and how everything in my makeup bag was Lancome. For some reason, I eventually strays away from the line.I applied it to my skin last week, and wow, just wow...gives me great coverage without looking heavy...no settling in pores or lines...no micro cracking or looking older than I am...no cakiness, just a lovely, soft focus that minimizes pores...actually understand that airbrushed look now. It lasted me about 5-6 hours before it began to fade a bit, but it still looked good...like it had melded with my skin...I blotted and gave it a light touch up and it was beautiful for another 4 hours. Its lightweight and feels fabulous on the skin. It also seems to be transfer proof as well. I use it with the Lancome waterproof concealer, which is a great combo!I promptly went out and bought Amande III, which is just the perfect, gorgeous shade for me.I will still use the CC cream when I'm in the sun, but this will replace Laura Geller as my go to foundation.

People saying it's sweet and then describing Lancome la vie est belle light & elegant- really? It's not sweet like candy or bubblegum (like lancome la vie est... or Alien absolue essence) no it's actually very soft and this is more elegant than most of those high end lollipop fragrances. In fact it's mesmirising & gorgeous. prefer this one over any other candy based fragrances--- just to confirm though-- this is not candy sweet, it's more floral sweet with vanilla scent with a unique style. Don't get me wrong it doesn't smell like white musk vanilla scent or poison (purple floral). Think all age will enjoy this one because -- it does not smell SWEET like someone described here below

The powder itself is very nice. It applies smoothly, feels luxurious, has great coverage, gives a 'soft-focus' effect to the skin, and it comes in a wide variety of shades and skin tones. However, the price has skyrocketed throughout the years... when I first started to use it (in '07), it was $21.50, then the next thing I know it was $22.50, then jumped to $24.00, then $29.50, and now last time I purchased it it was a whopping $39.50! Oh my goodness! I am truly not against paying a certain price for a good product, but that's a little ridiculous. And, mentally comparing the packaging to the past ones that I have purchased, I feel that they have cut back on the quality; it's still nice and aesthetically pleasing, but it feels like it could break now (before the plastic felt very strong and the hinges sturdy). And if you use this for an all over foundation, or worse yet, use it wet, you use the product up very quickly. I was using mine mostly wet this last time I purchased it; dry for touch-ups, and I used it up in less than a month; all with me trying to go easy on it. And even though it does have all those nice qualities that I mentioned above, the price to quantity ratio will prevent me from buying this to use as an every day foundation; though I do like this enough to buy as a 'treat', I kind of feel like I'm being taken advantage of as a customer buying this every month. A nice product, but one I will have to think twice about before purchasing again...

I have been on a concealer kick lately and trying a bunch. I was using this for under eye concealer but hoping I could spot conceal as well. I got this in the lightest shade, porcelain 1. This was drying, cakey, and oxidized. This gave me old lady orange under eyes. I tried different eye creams and brushes/fingers and finally gave up and returned it. I was sad because the description sounds like just what I need. Oh well.

My HG primer! I use it with EL Double Wear foundation and it stays put all day and night. I spent a day with a full face of make up snow tubing, ice skating, soaking in the hot pools, followed by a 3.5 hour drive home and it still looked fresh when I got home! The bottle is lovely and yes can be annoying to get the last of it out but if you take the top off and stir it around you can get more through the pump, at at the very end just use the straw bit to collect up the product and put it straight on your fingers.Recommendations: It is an oil free primer so I would recommend using it with an oil free foundation for best results. Lasts AGES, you need a baby pea size amount which isn't quite a full pump and I focus it on my T-zone and spreading out from there. Is expensive to buy here in NZ but Strawberry.net has it pretty cheap ;)

I really do love this foundation, I have never had a problem with it oxidizing on my face. It is expensive but worth every penny, this is the only foundation I have ever used to the bottom of the bottle without going on a quest for "something better." When I ran low on my first bottle, I promptly got another one. It covers my redness on my nose and t-zone beautifully and I have never had it cause break outs which I still get from cosmetics, even in my doteage:) I took off one lippee for the price $$$! but I guess you get what you pay for. I used Estee Lauder Double Wear before but it always seemed kind of heavy and flat, although it does last and cover well.

I decided to try this mascara based on all the good reviews. For reference, I have medium length lashes. There are 2 things that I need in a good mascara - that it can hold a curl and it doesn't smudge. Because of the length of my lashes, lengthening is not at the top of my list. Unfortunately, this mascara did not meet my needs. I didn't hold a curl for long and it started smudging after a couple of hours (I work a regular 8 hour work day, I need mascara to hold up at least that long). I tried to pair this with the Cils primer and that was a bust. Anyway, I'm bummed, because I really wanted to like it. But truthfully, I've had drugstore mascara perform wayyyyy better.

Ugh, no to this product. While it lengthens, it clumps like crazy and make my lashes stick together. I always have to wipe the excess to make it tolerable and have to separate my lashes afterwards. Too much work. I even tried to put just a little bit and be super light in my application (just one quick stroke) and it was still no good. I also hoped it'd help with keeping the curl in my lashes, but nope. The product seemed to weigh down my lashes too, so any curl I gave it went down immediately after applying the product. The only plus I saw to using this was that it helped against smudging (I have an oily eye area).

Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate is what I tried - got a sample at sephora. Too expensive - but seems to work well.Still - I won;t be buying the whole bottle. Smells a bit artificial (for all that money you'd think they could leave out the synthetic fragrance.)

I love this serum, l also was hesitant because of price but I saw a different within a week, my foundation looked better but better yet my skin did as well. I took the leap and now I only wear Lancôme products. It is expensive, but like any other skin routine you can build on it.

I was nervous about buying this product due to the price. Of course they tried to get me to buy their whole line of skin care, and I told them I could only afford one item. I asked them to recommend one product since it's all I could afford. So, I tried this serum. It has been 6 weeks and I really like it. I use it morning and night, then apply my daily/nightly moisturizer over it. I have dry skin, but my fav foundation is matte and it dries me out. Using this serum before my moisturizer and foundation makes a big difference. I haven't notice my lines looking any better, but my skin tone is much more even. I even go in public sometimes without foundation. Also..I wasn't expecting this..I have a brown sunspot on my face that makes me crazy. Years ago, I spent $500 on this photo facial thing at the dermatologist's office to have it taken care of. They said I would only need one or two treatments. After 3 treatments, it never went away. At all. Well, after 6 weeks of using this serum, that brown spot has noticeably faded. I'm excited to see the results in another month or two. I wouldn't be surprised if it fades away completely.
