Body Scrubs -The Body Shop -Shea Body Scrub

I hated the feel of this body scrub. It was too oily. Didnt smell great. And felt that the granules were too rough on my skin. After shower i just feel like i've applied oil all over my skin and it feels absolutely disgusting and sticky.

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

I love this cleansing for my oily acne-prone skin. It helps controlling my acne and reduces my pores and black spots.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Oil

I bought this as a target product to my blemishes but it wasn't that helpful and I thought I had waisted a lot of money on a useless product. But then I had the idea to mix a few drops with my moisturizer and it worked incredibly! My blemishes disappear or at least they are very reduced in a few hours! I will totally purchase this product again!

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -Oils of Life Revitalising Sleeping Cream

on 3/17/2018 9:31:00 AM

I bought this based on the great reviews on the site- it is a very nice gel-cream like consistency and smells wonderful (all the oils of life products have a very natural sandalwoody scent) I typically don't like fragrance in my skincare nor do i usually care for body shop scents (unless they brought dewberry back!) ...but this is very nice.

So a nice product- however i'm giving it 4 stars because even though its overall been lovely on my skin- for the first few min after i put on, I get a burning sensation- so its not a soothing cream. Not sure where that burning comes from or if anyone else has had that issue. But for this reason i would probably not purchase again

Shampoo -The Body Shop -Ginger Shampoo Normal/Dry hair and Loose Dandruff

I don't even care if it works (which it does - it's fabulous). I just love the smell. Why can't they bring out a matching conditioner? (Preferably silicone free - no hints, body shop!)

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Spa of the World - Japanese Camellia Cream

on 3/15/2018 11:30:00 PM

I love how light texture and subtle scent of the lotion are. The whipped-like texture makes me feel pampered everytime i put it on my body. It does moisturize well enough for an office girl like me who has to stay put working in an air-conditioner a whole day, 5days a week. I am quite a subtle girl when talking about scents and perfume. This lotion has a light subtle scent of the camillia. Not overpowering at all but it lasts long thrugh out the day. The scent is just light that lingers on my skin. And It leaves my skin feel cool for a few minutes after the applicaion, which is quite suit for summertime in my country. No greasy feeling afterwards. OK... It tends towards a little pricey though but it lasts me a couple of months for a jar. So definitely I repurchase again and again.

Skincare - Body -The Body Shop -Olive Nourishing Dry Oil For Body and Hair

on 3/14/2018 11:44:00 AM

I used The Body Shop's olive body butter for years but heard about dry oil and figured this would be a good one to try for a lighter consistency.

The good: The oil made my skin feel amazing. It soaked in quickly and didn't feel oily at all.

The OK: It was a bit pricey, but with TBS sales I was able to snag a bottle for nearly half price.

The awful: The smell. OMG, it was rotten. I mean, literally rotten smelling. As soon as I put it on my daughter wanted to know what that horrible smell was, and I admitted it was rather odd—not like the body butter I knew and loved. I stuck it out for two days and got results with the way my skin felt, but I couldn't take it anymore. If you can imagine this like I did, it smelled like burned gas station bathroom soap—and, due to its quick soaking-in-ness, the only way it finally went away was with time and sweat.

I returned the oil, not without a lot of runaround from the company. Between this and the face roller with the sharp edge that threatened to cut my face (even after I filed it down), I am done with The Body Shop. What a disappointment.

It's not great, not bad. Just in the middle, but a little expensive. My mom LOVES it though.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -HEMP Foot Protector

on 3/12/2018 9:14:00 PM

A few years ago, my favorite foot cream reformulated and then resumed animal testing, so I've been trying all sorts of alternatives and this is the best I've found. Yes, it smells sort of musty in the way that most hemp products do, but it doesn't linger at all. Of the cruelty-free foot products (and frankly including some I've been given and tried that aren't CF), this is the best I've tried in probably 5 years. It could be better but it's awfully good. My dry, winter feet aren't as soft as a baby's bum, but they're also not cracking, painful, scaly, etc. - definitely hydrated compared to the results with most products and compared to a lot of my friends (all of whom I've of course turned onto this). A little goes a long way, and you can often get this on sale so the value is good.

Fragrances -The Body Shop -Woody Sandalwood

I bought this perfume in 1991 and still have only used about 1/8 of it. Granted, a microscopic amount is all you need to reek of incense all day. I like the smell, but it is much too strong.

Blush -The Body Shop -Lip & Cheek Stain

on 3/9/2018 9:10:00 AM

I have this in the colour Dark Cherry. I've tried other pinks and reds in this line, but Dark Cherry is the only colour that looks really natural against my fair-medium skin. (All of the reds look the same as each other on the cheeks, and same for the pinks, but the real difference between shades can be seen on the lips.)

I love it. I use it as a base under sheerer lipsticks. When I was on holiday and in a pinch, I would literally just dab some on my lips, swipe with my finger, use the excess left on finger on my cheeks, apply some more on cheeks if needed, and go.

That brings me on to application method - a lot of people say this looks blotchy or patchy, but swiping this product on your lips as if it were a liquid lipstick will definitely mean uneven application. This product is watery - you have to work with it. Rather than swiping, just dab a few dots on your bottom lip, rub that in, and then use whatever is left on your fingers for your top lip and/or cheeks (some people may not like the idea of getting their fingers messy - a cotton bud could be used instead, or whichever tool you find easier. I don't think I'd use a lip brush, though.) I emphasise applying in steps because this product seems to dry quickly, especially on the cheeks.

Definitely recommend - you may need to try a few shades before you find the perfect one, so go to the store to check these out. I'm MAC NC25-30 for reference.

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser

I do not recommend this. I have extremely sensitive skin. I bought this thinking it would fit my skin perfect. After two days already got soar pimples. I have had clear skin for a long time and no pimple. Now I have at least eight in my face. I couldnt believe it was this, but the cleanser is the only change I have made in my skincare routine. Since I got pimples around my nose I assume it is because this do not cleanse my skin well enough. I do not feel clean after using this unless I have used my foreo.
