Treatments (Face) -Neutrogena - Pore Refining Cream

I actually have the moisturizer version of this, not the cream. It's a decent daytime moisturizer, that wore well under my makeup. But that's about all the good I can say about this, because I have a few gripes. First off, for something that is supposed to "visibly reduce the appearance of pores" I noticed no difference whatsoever in my pores. Also I would hope that for something that has both Retinol and beta hydroxy acid in it I would feel or see my skin getting smoother, and that my fine lines would be less noticeable. Considering this product did none of that, I don't think it's worth my money. I gave it an extra lippie for still being a decent daily moisturizer that didn't break me out. But I'm actually having better results currently just using an Aveeno sunscreen and an Elizabeth Arden serum on my face.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser

I have been using it for past 2 weeks. It doesn't irritate my skin. I had acne here and there and now they look better. Try not to look for a facewash which cures acne because it can only be cured from inside. I tried to look for products which don't irritate the skin and are gentle.
This face wash definitely removes oil and dirt from the skin and little goes a long way.
Oily and combination skin should definitely give it a try as its cheap and convenient.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel

The first thing to know about this is that it smells like a combo of urinal cake and Febreze. Ugh. It is also LOADED with silicone, which may be why some people find it results in smoother skin. I am older and my skin is dehydrated more than dry, so I though this might do the trick. The SA at Walgreen's talked me into it. I will be returning it.

If it were remarkably hydrating, I *might" be able to get past the smell. But it's nothing special, and not even worth $20.

I like this, this is a gel cream that can be used with or without water, is moisturising, fragrance free and non-foaming. The only thing that prevents me from ever repurchasing is that it is exactly.the.same.as.Cetaphil. Its also 4x the price. If this was double the amount, I could do it on sale, but this is really just a gentle no frills, nothing special cleanser. Good for irritated skin but I will stick with cetaphil.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20

I wear the lightest or 2nd lightest shade in all foundations. The lightest shade in this product was at least two shades too dark. The product felt nice on my skin, but definitely darkens throughout the day and doesn't have much staying power

I have oily skin and surprisingly this foundation worked so well. It left a natural finish, not matte obviously but not dewy shiny either, simply natural skin like. It did not bunch up or get shiny throughout the day, it actually held up better than a lot of "matte" foundations. Love the applicator as well.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser

This product dried out my skin unfortunately. My skin felt squeaky clean afterwards, but felt as if all the natural oil was stripped from my face.

This cleanser is great. It removes every trace of make up and somehow does not dry out my skin. Leaves no residue behind either, rinses perfectly clean.

My skin is combination with an oily T zone, very clog and and acne prone. I'm also on tretinoin and have to be careful not to dry out my skin too much and this works so well for me, especially now in the sticky summer months. I use it once at night to remove sunscreen and make up and follow up with my actives and moisturizer. Recommended!

My favorite clarifying shampoo. Others leave my hair flat and stringy but this one does not. I use it twice a month and it makes a huge difference.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Pure & Free Liquid Daily Sunblock, SPF 50

I'm going to write this review in segments to see how this fares against this brand's Pure & Free Baby sunscreen. I'm hoping to compare the two since the Baby sunscreen is the only sunscreen I can use that doesn't break me out or burn my eyes, but it has so many other problems.

Consistency
Day1: I almost didn't buy this because some reviewers described it as "gritty" . One reviewer stated that they shook the bottle really well and they had no issues. It does indeed say to do that on the package instructions. So I shook it well on the first use and experienced no grit whatsoever. The formula is liquid and creamy. I prefer this over Neutrogena Baby Sunscreen because with that product I usually end up with too much sunscreen coming out--it's so thick and gloppy and the dispenser hole is too large.

Irritants
Day1: On first use, I found this more irritating around the eyes than the Neutrogena Baby which doesn't irritate at all (it became pronounced post application, my left eye is weeping, but that could ve an eyeliner mishap so we will see). Compared to chemical sunscreens it's not so bad.

Packaging
Day 1: That brings me to the packaging. I really love this. It's quite a small amount at 1.4 fluid ounces ($12), but at least it fits well in your purse. The lid is very tight and molded around the dispenser, which has a tiny pinhead sized opening so you can squeeze out just the right amount of liquid.

Texture/look
Day1: This is where it really shines over the Neutrogena Baby. That product is thick and greasy as hell. It's very hard to rub in. This liquid glides on, and is only faintly greasy (I have slightly oily skin). You don't have to rub nearly as much to try to dissipate the cast. Be warned, though that this does leave a white cast. However, it is miniscule compared to the ghost face that you get from Neutrogena Baby. With that product I had pile on so much face powder to make my face look like a normal color. With this I just needed a light dusting.

Comedagenic?
Day 1. TBD. All skin is different so I can only report on what this will do to my particular skin type.

Value:
Day 1: At $12 for 1.4 oz (Walgreens.com), this is quite pricey for a sunscreen. I do intend to use it only on my face, and the packaging lets you dispense tiny controlled amounts, so we'll see how long this lasts.

I know everyone has been raving about this product but idk it is it just me or this doesn't protect me from rays??!! I used it in the morning before I went to class. I walked to class btw so I was exposed to the sun and I live in a country with summer all year (we don't have 4 seasons). At night when I came back, I noticed slight sunburn/tan on my face. So idk I might not be applying it properly tho

My experience is the opposite of most of the current posters -- it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I am age 58, have combination skin and get monthly chemical peels. I purchased the Hydro Boost Serum also and use that immediately after cleansing. I love the taller and thinner serum bottle which makes it easy to use. Maybe it's the serum which prevents my skin from feeling dry. I'm happy with the combination of both products --but it's only been a week! I've tried many products over the years. For instance, I do not see the love for Cera Ve. I've tried them, abandoned them, and have never repurchased. My go-to product is the pricier Skinceutical Purfiying Cleanser, which removes all make up (not waterproof) and leaves the skin feeling clean. I was on the look out for a cheaper alternative and blindly purchased Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser and Serum. So far, not disappointed.

Pros:
-comes in a pump and easy to dispense
-don't feel too oily
-keeps face moisturize
-gives face a healthy grow.

I used to use the clean and clear oil free moisturizer with salicylic acid but it was not as moisturizing as this product. I would definitely repurchase again since my skin do not have any negative reaction such as clogged pores.
