After seeing so much praise that this face mask gets, I've decided to give it a try. I have a sensitive skin that's not very prone to breakouts, but I get a pimple or two before my period starts and that's why I purchased this product, because at the age of 24 I am tired of pimples for the rest of my life. After applying the mask at first I felt a burning sensation, but I thought it's normal so I kept it for 15 minutes as I was instructed by the Lush employee, and after rinsing it out my face was red and covered in lumps that later resulted in a complete pimple disaster, my chin and forehead looked like a minefield. I couldn't believe the disaster I was witnessing, after all the good reviews I've seen online, this was my first and last Lush product I will ever try.To conclude, if you have a sensitive skin, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T BUY THIS FACE MASK!!!

Love, Love Ceridwen's Cauldron! It left my skin super moisturized, but not in a greasy way. It also didn't grease up my bathtub. I just did a quick rinse and my bathtub was relatively clean. The oats were a nice touch, which I used to scrub my skin after the product melted away in the bathwater. Try not to scrub too hard because the bag may break. Only huge con is that it is super expensive for a one-time use. I was able to split the product into two uses and it did a decent job for a two-time use. I will repurchase for those days where a pick-me-upper is needed.

Floating Island really does float in your bath. It's neat to see it floating about while you're just chilling in the water. It smells like vanilla cupcakes - but for some reason I wasn't too fond of it and neither was my husband. I won't be purchasing this one again. It left a very greasy yellow film/residue in the bath tub (which was extra work to clean off) and if you wet your hair in the bath water, you end up with a gross greasy film on your hair too. I much prefer "Ceridwen's Cauldron", which did a better job at moisturizing and also without the greasiness. For a LUSH product, Floating Island was a bit disappointing.

This is a really lovely mask, only a small amount is needed to evenly cover my face. After rinsing it off my skin was smoother, skin tone was evened and redness reduced. I have dry, sensitive skin and most products tingle or sting my face but this mask was very soothing. It also has a longer shelf life than other Lush masks.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to use this product. I was hoping that I could use this to take my make up off (based on that it has some oils in it and bunch of reviews here recommend it for that). But it really doesn't, not even if I do two washes in a row. I also feel like the amount of it I have to use even on my bare face in the mornings is a bit excessive, and even then the feeling it leaves on the skin is a bit... greasy? It's really weird.Would only recommend to someone who has really dry skin and doesn't wear too much make up at all. I'm going to use mine up just because I don't want to waste anything, but wouldn't purchase again.

*this review is for the self-preserving version of this face mask*This is hands down the best face mask I have ever tried! I have been struggling with acne for years (even after two sessions of Accutane/isothretinoin) and I honestly wish I had discovered this mask sooner. I love the concept behind Lush, but unfortunately I have extremely acne prone skin, which is why I avoid all products with almond oil or coconut oil, two ingredients that are commonly used in Lush products. Mask of Magnaminty does not contain either so I decided to give this a go and I am so happy I did! This mask soothes my breakouts, hydrates my skin, cleans my pores and makes my skin look so glowy! And it smells so nice! I love that the main ingredient is honey, which is antibacterial, and that it contains kaolin and bentonite, which are known for their purifying properties. I also like that no artificial preservatives whatsoever were added. This mask has earned its place in my skin care routine and it never ceases to amaze me... I reach for it a few times a week, leave it on for about ten minutes and it always manages to decrease my breakouts. After trying a small pot, I quickly moved on to buying a full size pot and I will most certainly repurchase. Don't let the price keep you from trying this mask, you actually get quite a lot of product, especially if you buy the full size pot.I know that some people think that the original version of Mask of Magnaminty does a better job at cleaning pores, but I think I'll stick with mine. The orginal version looked very stiff when I saw it at the Lush shop, I've no idea how anyone can spread such a thick paste onto their face, not to mention wash it off afterwards. I've also heard that the original version tends to dry your skin out, which I don't like at all. I'll just keep using my all natural, soothing, purifying, hydrating and self-preserving mask!

This didnt do much for my oily acneprone skin except just make it oilier... it didn't help, it felt really wet and although others say it does do a great job I dont really see the hype. I prefer to just use a moisturizer.

I love this product. Ever since I bought it I keep buying it again. I expected it to smell bad because I don't like the smell of tea tree oil, I was pleasantly surprised that it had a typical nice lush scent. I feel like it helps to prevent breakouts and makes my face less oily. For some reason this product combined with primer makes my skin very soft.

I love this mask and regret not repurchasing it immediately. For me it definitely reduced pimples, brightened and just flat out worked wonders. I kind of love the smell, kind of don't. It reminds me of the smell of an old basement and of course, garlic. I feel like people should stop judging Lush skin care so much by the smell because the products aren't initially made for sniffing, although many of them smell amazing. I also don't know if some people realize that the fresh face masks are supposed to be stored in the fridge; this one for example contains fresh eggs, so no wonder why some people's face masks seem dodgy. This worked great for my hormonal acne breakout and I hope to repurchase it as soon as possible. I've tried about 7 different entire Lush face masks and this is in my top 2. All of them are made for different purposes but I feel like this really helps calming down pimples, cooling, feeding and freshing out the complexion. I feel like after a few weeks of not using it my skin's gotten worse again, so I can't wait to get my hands back on Cosmetic Warrior!

This stuff is reasonable pricey but i think its worth it and would definitely repurchase once my current pot is over! I love to lather this on before bedtime as i am prone to very dry hands that are the bane of my life. This stuff is great if you dont mind the rather strong smell (that i actually dont find unpleasant but is strong nonetheless) and the slight greasiness at first- until it starts to soak in and work its magic.

I have an Instagram account for my nails and this is the ONLY product that has kept my cuticles from looking dried out. This is also good to use all over your hands when they are dry. It's basically a miracle worker!! Bonus-it smells amazing!! Get this!!!

Terrible product. Purchased it for grease control and ended up breaking out in a rash. Let my face rest, tried it again two days later and it gave me a terrible itchy rash on my face. Horrified!

I give this about a 3.5 and if I didn't colour my hair it would be a 4.5. This removes a lot of my hair colour so I can't use it very often but when I do I enjoy it. It smells absolutely incredible like oranges/citrus, lathers up very well like most Lush shampoo bars and I adore the lack of packaging. Just rub onto wet hair and scrub in the shampoo. Rinses very well and leaves my hair clean and shiny. Would likely repurchase. Great option for those who do not colour their hair and have oily roots.

Thick product, feels like butter on the lips, yet undetectable. I've been purchasing this since January 2016, and I love it. It's perfect for the winter cold, although I still use it in the summer and it works great anyhow. It can get a little melty due to the butters in it during the summer if you leave it in a hot area (etc. the inside of a car), but that's tolerable and it cools down quickly. It feels so smooth on your lips, and leaves them soft as well for hours. A little definitely goes a long way with this.

An overview of my skin:I have dry-combo skin, depending on the season. I deal with minor redness, and minor hormonal acne. I am getting older, so my primary goals at this point are brightening, softening and hydrating. Here's a break down of my experience with Movis:Scent: I really like how it smells. It smells like wheat bread and cocoa butter, which I find pleasant.I don't typically care for food-scented products, but this smells so natural that it's not off-putting to me. Packaging: I got a big hunk of this stuff, and have used it different ways. I've taken the advice of others and cut off a slice to bring into the shower with me, while leaving the rest in a dry place. It worked okay but to be honest, I prefer using the whole thing all at once. The biggest (and not even that bad) downfall is that Movis is hard to lather, so I have to work with it a bit to get the consistency to my liking and find it much easier to achieve using the bigger portion. Since the "crust" of the soap is rougher than the soft "bread" interior, I like to modify how much exfoliation I'm getting by using the whole thing as well. I keep this in a plastic soap container in my shower, and have enough room to keep it away from water and moisture when it's not in use. The bar is always a bit damp, but it's still intact and easy to use. However, I would echo others recommendations to keep it somewhere it can dry out a bit, otherwise it'll likely get soggy. Performance: This soap has a creamy feel to it, and is a bit tough to get a good lather from. However, I really like the results from using the Movis bar. It's very softening, is great for dry skin, creamy, and good for daily use. It's also calming, clearing and gentle. I would recommend this bar for any skin type besides someone who needs deep cleaning, as it isn't clarifying or great at removing a lot of makeup.
