I recieved three of Estee Lauder primerss for free: Soother, luminating, and mattifer. I tried soother and luminating on different sides of face for 3 days. I have large pores and was trying these to see which helped with pores. This primer actually makes my pores appear even larger, the wrinkles under my eyes worse. Then I considered if my face was luminous, it was not. To be honest with you, Loreal Magic lumi primer is more luminous and way cheaper. Smoother is awesome though, I will buy full size of that.

Excellent product delivering great coverage and fantastic staying power. No smudging, redness seeping through or discomfort. Simply loving it. The color "Sand" is perfect for my NC20-25 skin.

I love the Double Wear foundation but the concealer fell flat. I mostly wanted to use it for under my eyes, where it immediately looked dry and patchy and got worse throughout the day. I also tried dabbing it on some spots on my face. It blended and covered well at first but then wore off a few hours later.

This is one of the best for oily skin or skin that is sensitive & prone to breakouts. I'm generally allergic in some way or another to most foundations except this one. The problem is the shade range isn't good, I can't seem to find a shade between the 2 and 3. 2 is way too light & 3 way too dark/orange :( having to mix a 2 and 3 was proving too expensive. It's a light to buildable coverage which again for sensitive skin is a good thing so your skin can breathe! I think this holds up on oily skin better than the original double wear.

Holy grail foundation - actually looks BETTER as the day wears on and it melts into your face. A few things to know though:- better suited to combination/oily skin. Dry skin ladies may find it drying on them or they look ashy. If this one is too dry on you, try the double wear light which is still medium coverage but much easier to work with - buy a MAC pump. Pouring it out is a pain- mix one drop of serum (especially Estée Lauder Night Repair serum) with it before applying for easiest and most flawless application - apply to very well moisturized skin, especially after a facial oil but let the facial oil really soak in first. I really notice a difference on how well this applies if I’m wearing facial oil underneath it or not. It definitely is more likely to get patchy or draggy if I am not well moisturized beforehand - dries quickly so work one area at a time - if you smear it all over your whole face and try to blend it it will lift and drag, so do t-zone/forehead, then cheeks and chin one at a time. Best with a damp beauty blender as brushes create drag too easily.- DO NOT use in your eye area AT ALL unless you have added serum, face oil or are going lightly. Too drying in the eye area on its own. I avoid my entire lid and undereye - much better to use Lancome effacernes with a light hand for the entire lid area, or the Estée Lauder concealers.- Set with a little of the Laura Mercier translucent powder using a fluffy brush, or a damp beautyblender. THIS FOUNDATION WILL LIFT IF YOU DISTURB IT so use a light and fluffy hand for powder, blush, bronzer etc.- buildable, so you can go medium to full coverage but you MUST BUILD IT WHILE IT'S STILL DAMP. Building a new layer over a dry layer tends to create splotchiness/dragging if you're not careful.- covers most imperfections, but I do spot conceal on bad spots. For minor imperfections I'll just stipple extra foundation onto the spot.* I remove it with a first swipe of micellar water or EL Take the Day Away and then a full face wash of Cetaphil. No breakouts.**side note - this does build up in foundation brushes and doesn't wash out well with even dish soap, shampoo, anything - stays caked in the brush, possibly from the sunscreen in it. I found vegetable cooking oil (from your kitchen) will dissolve it if you're having a hard time cleaning your foundation brush. Then shampoo or soap out the oil and you'll have a completely clean and wonderfully soft brush again. Better to use a damp beauty blender*** If you feel the finish is a bit too cakey, it really helps to use an illuminating setting spray especially Tatcha dewey skin mist, or urban decay chill or Smashbox illuminating setting spray though my preference is the Tatcha for sure. Then I have the full coverage I want with the youthful glow

The best thing about this is the coverage. A tiny amount goes a long way! That’s pretty much where it ends. Did not expect this but it actually leaves me very oily after about 1 hours wear. Needs a lot of primer and powder which then blocks pores and causes breakouts :(I imagine this would suit normal skin really well, but leaves naturally oily skin really shiny.

I don't have wrinkles and just a few fine lines around my eyes. I look pretty good for my age...until I put on my concealer (Bobbi Brown Creamy) and powder which shows up the fine lines and makes me look tired. In the last few weeks my eyes have been looking awful. As well as the concealer thing, a cold has made my eyes puffy, baggy, and my upper lids look slack. I looked as if I'd suddenly aged! After trying various remedies (new/less/more/different eye treatments, etc) I found a forgotten sample size of this product. I've been using the Night Repair serum for a few years which often comes with a sample of this eye cream so I've used it before. While I was impressed with the results I didn't get round to buying it, thinking I didn't really need it if I was using the serum and facial moisturiser around my eyes. This time round, after applying it twice a day for a couple of days, I've already noticed a huge difference. The puffiness and bags are much reduced, and my upper lids are so much firmer. My dark circles seem to have lightened too and my concealer is looking better. I feel like me again! I have been researching other eye products to purchase but I'm going to stay with this one now. It's an anti-ageing product so may not have the same results on younger skins, but if you have concerns with the eye area this is amazing. It's not cheap, but it's well priced compared to many premium products I've been looking at, and it does last a long time.

I love this foundation! It sits on the skin really well. You have to use it with a good primer otherwise I think it slides off the face and clings to any dry patches you might have. When wearing this I don't use any concealer as the foundation is already high coverage. I set the main areas with powder still. Its a full coverage foundation with good consistency. However the only thing that lets it down is the bottle itself. It has no pump but you can get one for an additional cost.So if you are just pouring it be careful as you might pour too much and waste it. You get a pretty standard amount of product in the bottle. I would definitely repurchase this as its one of my go to foundations.

I wanted to love this. It really does last all day and does not feel heavy on your face. The color range is ok i am about NC 35 and had to go with Tawny. There is a scent to this product and it applies well with either BB or brush. But it is just not workable if you have any dryness. It is almost too matte and sets very quickly so you can't really blend it well. It also imho does not seem to build well on top, it looks very obvious. I even tried mixing in different things to make the texture better (primer/moisturizer/oil) but then the foundation almost separated and would not apply well, like it would lift. I am in Canada and think the ELDW sold here and outside of the US is a different formulation maybe because reading other reviews it seems to be a common issue for people outside the US. It is $48 CDN and does not come with a pump (WTF EL.)

I wanna start with the packaging. The packaging really bothers me because it would be my fault if I slipped and broke the bottle, I'm super clumsy, sorry! I still need to lighten the shade a bit and I'm in shade 1C0 Shell. The lightest shade on the Sephora website. THE LIGHTEST! If I still need to lighten the product to get it to match me perfectly then you know I'm pale. The formula is not my favourite, it might be to someone else, but for me it's just too cakey and looks patchy in certain areas and I know I'm blending it in correctly. Overall, not the worst but would not buy again.

I am unimpressed by this product for a few reasons. First of all, I have oily combination skin that gets dry around winter. I use sunscreen or moisturizers with SPF everyday to protect myself and had a small jar of this product that needed to be used. Right off the bat, I knew I didn't like the packaging because it harbors bacteria. A spatula can easily fix this problem, but even for a product with such a low SPF, it was a bit greasy for my liking. It seemed a bit slippery too, which could be a problem if you plan to put makeup on top. I think it's better as a moisturizer on its own, but other than that, I would recommend something with a higher amount of SPF. I also noticed that I seemed to get clogged pores and pimples when I used this moisturizer. This isn't something I usually experience with other SPF moisturizers, even if they are at SPF 50. My skin just doesn't like this product! I did like the smell though!

Breakouts in a bottle! You don’t need to wait a lot for the effect... breakouts show up in the first week and worsen in one month unless one stops using product.

I have been using this serum for around three months now and I can genuinely say I have seen an improvement in the texture of my skin. My skin is more on the dry skin and has the tendency to look quite dull. This makes my skin feel so hydrated and radiant, I wake up looking like I’ve had a good nights sleep. My mother who is in her mid 50’s, swears by this for her fine lines.
Prior to this, I have used Clarins Double Serum. I found that was too greasy and felt tacky on my skin.
£55.00 for 30ml
£75.00 for 50ml
The packaging is plastic so travel friendly.
A good makeup hack with this is putting a small sized amount into your foundation this will sheer out the product and give it a dewy glow and lastly I will use this on top of my makeup if it looks a bit flat.

One of the best foundations I have ever come across. I have used this foundation for years now, I wear the shade 4W1 Honey Bronze. This foundation claims to be 24 hour wear, it is definitely the most long wearing foundation I have used by far. They provide a good variety of undertones. I believe there are 50 shades (UK) might be more elsewhere.
Provides a semi - matte finish and it’s medium to full coverage. I have dry to normal skin so I don’t go for matte foundations this one is a nice in between. If your skin is more of the dry side and you’re thinking about purchasing but you’re worried too, don’t be. As long as you prep your skin really well underneath, it’ll work well. I typically like to use Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base & MAC strobe cream with this. I sometimes mix the strobe cream into the foundation.
Only down side is...
It’s a glass bottle so if you drop it on hard flooring, it’ll likely smash and for the price point (£33.50) that’s steep.
Doesn’t come with a pump but you can purchase one on counter for £5.00

I like this foundation, but don't love it. I used to love the old formulation, but they changed it. EL salespeople swear they didn't reformulate but just added some new shades, but that is not true. I have used this foundation for about ten years now, and there is a real difference in the last couple of years - the shade I used to wear all day (Cool Bone 1C1) now goes orangey after three or four hours, which never used to happen. And it does not last as long on my skin as it used to. After four hours I notice it is going patchy on my nose and cheeks, and have to reapply if I'm at home. I don't carry liquid foundation around with me, so if I'm out I just have to blot my skin with papers. On the plus side, it does give good coverage over my rosacea and that is important to me, and apart from on my oily T-Zone it lasts quite well. If I had the choice between this and the old formula, I'd definitely choose the latter, but alas, we don't have that choice any more. It doesn't sting and doesn't cause breakouts on me. And I haven't found a better long-lasting foundation, so I'm giving it four lippies and sticking with it.
