Moisturizers -CLINIQUE -Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN! I use the regular moisture surge & grew to love it! So I went in today & was telling the consultant my face has been extremely dry from winter weather & she recommended me try the moisture surge intense hydrator. So I get home and did my normal 3 step clinique acne products. I waited a few hrs & right before bed applied this and O.M.G within a few minutes my eye lids and everywhere around them were burning so bad!! It has literally burnt my skin from irritation soo bad! I dont know what they put in this crap & why its soo much more harsh than the original but they clearly need to discontinue this!!! If you have sensitive skin ect DO NOT USE THIS!

I am not a Clinique person, that said, I got a sample (free) of the jelly (weird) and purple (anti wrinkle?) cartridge.
Just OK. I have dry skin so a jelly base is not best for me - but hey - if it's free?
Good enough.

I am not purchasing this, but the concept is cute and customizable.

Liquid -CLINIQUE -Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

This is a foundation + concealer. I used it as a foundation. The sample I received was in Ivory VF-N. I've never applied such a thick foundation in my life. My method was dotting my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose, so there's no way I went overboard applying. The shade turned out to be an obvious orange shade. I couldn't wash this off fast enough. I'm glad it was only a sample, because a full size would had gone back.

This moisturizer did nothing for my skin and it felt like my face was covered in egg whites.

Treatments (Face) -CLINIQUE -Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10%

I tried this and saw a difference in a night. I've never had that with a product before. I am 57, normal skin but sensitive - can get red easily on my cheeks. I bought one out of curiosity and was really surprised that it worked so quickly. I'm always buying new skincare products to try and keep my skin in the best condition. Doesn't stop aging, but I don't think anything short of surgery does that, and I will never go down that road. Really impressed.

Moisturizers -CLINIQUE -Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

i love it. it's kind of like a love it or hate it thing. i am acne prone, dry (especially because i use differin at night) and sensitive. i use this as a daycream after serum and before spf. it works really well at keeping my face moisturized the entire day. makeup looks bomb on top as well. And like others said, it doesn't really ever sink in completely but that's what i like about it. I don't know if i'd like it as much in fall/spring/summer but for now it's great.

Scrubs -CLINIQUE -7 Day Scrub Cream

foto

As a person with very fair and sensitive skin, I need exfoliation to keep me from looking dull and lifeless. That also presents the problem of redness and irritation with exfoliating products.
Before I completely gave up on manual exfoliation, I had purchased this. I use many Clinique products, and believe some perform better than luxury brands. Purchased for $28 for 8.5 ounces on the Clinique website.

This did not do much in the way of exfoliation for me. I actually believe it was more on the moisturizing side. It has very fine grains in it (not a large amount either) with a heavy grease base. Very very little lather. My skin felt waxy after use, and it never really did any resurfacing. I didn't need moisturizer after using it. It actually felt like it left a build up on my skin. Thankfully my skin is dry, because I couldn't imagine what this would of done to oily skin! I had a huge tube of it, and used it up during the dry winter.

I wouldn't advise this as a scrub. I wouldn't advise this for oily skin. It's basically a moisturizer with sand in it.

This is an updated review - I used to find this was the best soap for my acne prone skin...but now (being in my mid thirties), I find it way too drying for my face. I’m back to Dove unscented bar again.

Liquid -CLINIQUE -Even Better Makeup SPF 15

I should have waited until the weekend to review this, when I've applied and seen it in natural daylight, but I was so impressed by my first application this morning that I couldn't wait!
I rarely wear foundation but have been trying out some old samples recently - an extra layer of skin protection in cold weather can't hurt.

I liked Clinique's Beyond Perfecting (BP) but my heavy handed application yesterday made me look for a lighter option. I went to my local Boots and got an Even Better sample in my shade, Golden Neutral.

First thing I noticed is it's actually a lighter shade than the BP but is an even better match to my skin and made me look fresh and glowing. It's lighter in texture and blended easily and quickly over my skin. One reason I don't wear foundation often is that it often makes my pores look worse but this didn't - just amazingly smooth.

Looked great all day and when I checked at the end of the day it didn't look as if it had obviously broken up or worn off (I'd set it with Clinique Invisible Blend loose powder).

I'll give this the daylight test at the weekend to make sure but this is a foundation that I'll probably buy and use regularly. The best I have tried for a long time (love The Ordinary serum foundation for summer).

Update 05/02/2019; tried this again at the weekend in natural daylight. Beautiful natural finish again, but I thought the Golden Neutral was a tiny bit too light (my sister said it looked fine). Lesson learned - the same shade in a different formula won't necessarily look the same. I've tried Even Better Glow in Oat which is even better, pardon the pun - I'll post a review.

Cleansers -CLINIQUE -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

foto

Very good at cleaning the skin. Nothing is left. However it was *extremely* drying on my dry sensitive skin. It didn’t cause any immediate irritation however. I don’t know if this would cause me to breakout or give me clogged pores as I have only used it 4 times. It is probably one of the most drying cleansers I have ever tried.

I had the same reaction with Clinique Take the day off cleansing oil, so maybe my skin just doesn’t do well with cleansing oils and balms. I will go back to using Bioderma Sensibio H20 micellar water which although it takes longer to clean the skin and not quite as gentle as this (but still fairly gentle) it isn’t drying.

I will not repurchase this, but I’m glad that I tried it.

Eye Makeup Remover -CLINIQUE -Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips

I find that plenty of makeup removers I already own do the exact same thing I need without the price tag or the weird greasy film that gets left behind. Also, take note, it’s mediocre at best for waterproof makeup.

I enjoy the formula. I have super dark under eyes and I find this foundation/concealer has work but I will say this product can be drying. If you have dry skin I would recommend moisturizing way before wearing this product. Coverage I love the finish, only issue again is that I have to be really moisturize before using.

Mascara -CLINIQUE -High Impact Mascara

I am a fan of this mascara. I have thin lashes. I did receive it in a gift set when I purchased a foundation and put it away for quite awhile. I finally started using this when I was finished wit a CG mascara and was surprised. I've tried this with a primer and w/o. I don't see any difference which makes this a mascara I would use. The mascara doesn't smudge yet is so easy to remove w/o tugging at the skin. So I'm a fan. Now if Clinique would not include some awful lipsticks/colors in those sets. But that's for another review.

Greatest casual lipstick of all time.
Perfect color deposit, perfect amount of shine, very moisturizing, stays put, no fragrances.
The color Strawberry is perfect for a natural look on fair skin. I like Chilli also, for a little flair.
Will be picking up a few more colors. Great performance for the price.

I bought this foundation in a pinch because I was out of town and forgot to pack my tried and true. While this foundation/concealer combo does cover just about everything on your face, it does make my face look very greasy and doughy. I think this foundation would work best for someone with major acne and/or scarring that needed coverage, but for minor redness and discoloration, this was overkill. I have plenty of other foundations that provide the same amount of coverage without a weird, greasy afterlook.
