I wanted to try this product before parting with big bucks for what Sephora's site SAYS is 5.1 ounces/150 mls (making this a good value) but is actually the standard 1.7 ounces/50 mls, so only 1/3 the amount Sephora's erroneous description promises! That's a pretty sloppy error. Whatever the jar size, I'd have purchased this had it been as moisturizing as the copy suggested - "fountain of youth" and "bio-identical triple lipid complex" but, having tried this for a couple of days, this strikes me as a pretty mediocre moisturizer, with a light, almost (but not quite) gel like texture. For $74 Canadian (it's only 58 bucks in the US), this isn't worth the money and is nowhere near moisturizing enough for my skin, especially in winter. And I'm not sure but it might have given me the first pimple I've had in 20 or so years....a really huge, sore carbuncle on my forehead!

Bad. Bad. Bad. I received this as a sample from Sephora. I was trying to figure out why I was waking up to red patches on my face besides the fact that it made my skin dry. My face reacted so poorly to something in this face wash. I use care when cleansing my skin and am not rough with it. I can't stand the smell either.

This cream is a slightly thick moisturizer that absorbs quickly leaving skin feeling nice and soft. The cream has a great ingredient list with ceramides, retinyl palimatate, vitamin e, and saccharomyces. It's a bummer that they packaged this in a jar. The cream soaks into my skin quickly leaving it feel soft and moisturized. This doesn't have any real scent to it which I appreciate. I like that this layers well over and under serums, my retinol cream, and a thicker moisturizer without and pilling. I always apply many layers because my skin is so dry without several serums and creams. This also works well under primers before foundation application. If the full size came in anything other than a jar I would definitely purchase the full size. It is too pricey for something that comes packaged so cheaply, in my opinion. Update 2/7/2018: this does dry out the skin, so I use this with moisturizer on top. Without the moisturizer with daily use, the skin at end of the day looks like lizard skin.Update 1/29/18: I read comments about not applying this over moisturizer. I tried this without moisturizer and this performed much better. This did minimize my pores and fine lines, but at 12 hour mark, the wrinkles did start to peek through which makes me wonder if other primers that I gave bad reviews might perform better now. After 12 hours, I was still matte, absolutely no shine even though I could feel oils if I touched my nose area, but you could not see it.Original review: This product glides on effortlessly, but slightly thicker formula with a slight hint of color. It makes the skin very smooth and soft to the touch. It appears to minimize my pores until I apply my foundation. Then every single pore is emphasized and stands out.If you do not wear foundation and just want something to make your skin glow, this product is very nice.

I realize that skin care is very important at any age, but really, if you're under 40 you should be using (and reviewing) anti-aging products, not wrinkle creams. I'll be 56 next month and have been using this product nightly for about 2 months and have seen significant improvement! I apply it after Exuviance Age Reverse serum and then top it off with PTR Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Creme and the reduction in my lines and wrinkles has been so amazing that I will never be without any of these 3 products! Give this cream a try but know that results are not immediate; you have to give it some time, but it is so worth it!

This is a very mediocre face peel. It balls up and has a similar effect to putting aloe vera on your face. The “balling up” effect makes it look like more dead skin is coming off than actually; it was as disappointing as every balling up type of mask on the market. On the plus side, it makes my skin feel soft and hydrated afterwards, but that’s a very minor effect for the price

Seduced by the sample yet again. I loved the smell and the gel texture so when I had to return a few items to Sephora, I got a full size bottle. Yeah it smells nice and gets most of my makeup off. The price is off-putting though as I find this really doesn't perform for me any better than my Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. The Neutrogena actually does a better job of getting my makeup off. The PTR is not a bad product at all, but since I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere, I will not repurchase. Do not let this get in your eyes because it stings like hell.

This has a light gel consistency that tends to separate if you don't use it for a while, so shake the tube first. It leaves my skin soft and smooth. Although it feels "silicone-y" going on, it doesn't fill pores. It leaves skin looking smooth and glow-y. It's very moisturizing so it's ok to use on its own, but it doesn't play well with moisturizers. It tends to ball up if I put it on over moisturizer. And that makes the foundation I put on over it ball up. It has no discernible smell. Also, it takes a minute or so to dry down. I put it on my face and then do my eye makeup to give it a chance to dry. I feel like it's a decent primer for the price, so I will probably repurchase.

I am obsessed with this wonderful mask! It smells like a million bucks and works like it too. My skin is so beautiful after I use this (probably to much lol). It is a true spa experience for me. I adore the texture and ease of application. I do have a Mask Tasker from PTR also because I hate to waste product under my nails. A breeze to use. Tiny tingle and a BIG payoff. If we had a girls night I would use this on you too so we would both be hooked.

The Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Nutrient Rich Atomic Heat Mask is a newer product from the line- they also offer a Hungarian Thermal Water Moisturizer. The mask does contain water, it is near the tail end of the ingredient list. I guess I must assume this is from Hungary. It is true that some of these waters contain nutrients and minerals, but how much of that can be absorbed in the three minutes this is supposed be on for? I'm also not a a huge fan of the jar packaging. After trying this mask several times it does leave skin feeling soft. Simply put, if you have $58 to buy this and you won't be neglecting other areas of your regimen this is okay, but you are always better off using this money to buy a good leave on mask, moisturizer, toner, or exfoliator that will be on your skin all day. I tried this system because I was suffering from some break outs that didn't seem to want to go away (turns out, my moisturizer had slowly began breaking me out over time so I stopped using it partway through all of this).I used this system one a day, never building up to the recommended 2x a day because it was so strong. I liked the clean feeling I got from these products and thought the scent was nice as well. I thought the pads were very convenient. However, I did feel as though some of the products were quite harsh. The scent of the pads made my eyes water a little on the first day of use and they, along with the spot treatment, burned a little. I stuck with this system for over 90 days since I know skin care can take a while to show results. At first, it was hard because it really dried out my skin and left dark spots where my blemishes once were. It did however, dry out some spots effectively and that gave me a lot of hope. The places without spots looked more even in tone too. At one point, around one month, my skin cleared up completely. But within days, I had little bumps on my cheeks and red patches/ dark spots on my skin that were so difficult to cover up. Not to mention, this made my skin so dry covering up the dark spots was a challenge. It appears this system is just too harsh for my skin and my skin is reacting badly so I'm discontinuing use and going back to Paula's Choice Clear System in the hopes my skin will return to normal.

I got this in a PTR mask set that I picked up last year around the Sephora VIB rouge fall sale. This is by far my least favourite of the set. It's supposed to be "intensively hydrating" but I don't see any change in my dry skin's hydration levels after I use this. As you can probably tell from the picture, it has a gel consistency and feels immediately cooling when you apply it to your skin (which is nice in the summer). It has a faint fresh scent that I'm assuming is added in but I don't see any added frangrance in the ingredients list. Also if you look at the mask itself, it looks like it has tiny shimmer particles in it? Not sure if that's just a lighting thing but it was bizzare to me. All in all, it didn't do anything for my skin. I hate wasting so I'm trying to use it up but it's been sitting there a while. I'm not sure how this has 4.4 stars on the PTR website (especially for the price) but such terrible reviews here on MUA. Just goes to show that you really can't trust retailer's review section all that much.Would not recommend for dry skin and would not repurchase.

i purchased the must haves vault on Sephora and it came with this cleanser. My skin has never looked better. I used to wear a CC cream everyday, now I don't even feel like i need it. Once I moisturize, I have that dewy look I've coveted for so long. I will be purchasing this line in the future.

PTR does it again! I love this moisturizer. Normally, I steer clear of any moisturizer not specifically geared toward oily skin, but this stuff is bomb. It's gentle, unscented, and has a very light, cloud-like consistency (hence the name, I'm guessing). This moisturizer is the opposite of heavy; it sinks into the skin very quickly, leaves no residue behind, and leaves your face feeling ultra-soft. I think it feels a lot like a silicone-based primer when you apply it; it has that dimethicone-like slip to it. Personally, this doesn't bother me at all, as I don't like to feel heavy moisturizers on my skin. However, I can see where people with drier skin would miss that feeling of more intense hydration. But for my part, Water Drench gets an oily skin thumbs up. It hydrates my skin without making it oily, evens out the redness in my complexion, and seems to speed up the fading of my acne scars. (We're talking scars from new zits, here. I haven't been using this long enough to say whether it has an effect on long-established acne scarring.) It also sits just fine under makeup. The only real gripe I have about this product is the packaging, which just feels a little excessive to me. Yes, this is an expensive moisturizer, so I understand they're trying to make it seem "luxurious." But idk... it's just so much plastic for the amount of product it holds. Plus, does anyone actually enjoy screwing around with jars? For greenness, convenience, and freshness, I really wish they'd stick this product in a tube. But that's just me. It's a great moisturizer either way.

Prior to this I was using Roc retinol night cream. When I started using Peter Thomas Roths product I noticed a big difference after the first two weeks, fine lines were going away, even my eye bags were shrinking, and an overall amazing texture and look in my skin. Its so easy to apply with the applicator, the texture of the formula feels great, it soaks right into skin without leaving skin greasy. For retinol A to be effective it has to be a high enough concentrated dose and this definately has a high enough dose, that's why they proudly display their retinol percentage while Roc retinol will not even tell theirs, even though users have a right to know, it could be a tiny dot that they put in for all we know. I did take off a star because it's so high priced, I was given a bottle as a present and could never afford to continue using it, so I'm sure my results will diminish eventually aftet I quit using it. Its unfortunate that one of the only effective products out there are unaffordable, and not marketed for lower middle class, but you get what you pay for I guess.
