I’m not sold on setting sprays. I still believe either the foundation sets without transferring and lasts or it doesn’t. It comes down to the unique interaction between my skin, the foundation formula and what I’m liking at this stage in my life.
My skin is tending dry with age and I’m not loving a super matte look, I prefer a light to medium coverage that doesn’t transfer and doesn’t settle into the crevices on my face that are proof of a life well lived.
So, setting sprays, I want something that doesn’t set to a mask, doesn’t matting my face but that helps make my face look less powdery. Living in a hot humid climate it would be nice to have a magic product that forces your make up to stay in place when it’s so humid that your body is wet with sweat, but I doubt such a product exists. This product isn’t it.
What it does do is spray a fine mist all over my face and helps melt the powders into the foundation and helps me achieve a less made up look. I want to look like I’m wearing very little makeup, my skin yet better. This leaves my skin feeling fresh, dries down quickly and does a nice finishing spray job.
It’s also good for spraying your brush when foiling shadows
I think for the price this is a nice little product.

Light coverage fades off within an hour so basically useless. Powdery and cakey over dry patches. Clogs large pores like crazy. Just 2 days of trying to wear this and I had visibly clogged pores full of makeup. Yuk! Avoid like the plague if you have any large pores or are prone to cystic acne. Just check the ingredients list. The first ingredient is a Palmitate (highly comedogenic/acne causing). Why??

This completely slid off my face and transferred onto my clothes even after powder and setting spray. I almost never get pimples but after using this for a couple days I’ve broken out. I wanted to like this so badly, but I don’t see how it could work for anyone!

I am so tired of brands marketing products as ‘blonde’ and they are clearly not. I was excited to try it out as I had seen the Maybelline micro pencil in blonde, which was a lovely ashen blonde that totally would’ve matched my brows. But after spending $19NZD I was left with ginger caterpillars instead of my hope for a cooler blonde!! Why is this such a hard colour to create?!Only buy this product in blonde if you are a light-auburn or you’ve let your blonde go brassy. The pencil itself was sturdy and the spookiest on the end was great - wonderful for brushing out brows. I did find that the pencil became dull right after using it, it doesn’t stay sharp and I think it’s going to need constant sharpening (not that I’ll be using it). I’m disappointed with this purchase. Cosmetics in New Zealand are not cheap and I feel that I’ve been ripped off and mislead.Maybelline please fix your packaging and descriptions to match the true colours of your products.

I used to love this eyeliner when I was in high school when I was into the dark scary makeup look but I thought I would buy it again recently and I don’t understand why I ever liked it. I’m not sure if they changed the formula but it burns my eyes and makes them really watery after putting it on until I literally can’t stand it anymore and there’s black smeared all over my face from my eyes watering and the fact that it smears so easy! I will definitely not be buying this product again

i own this concealer in 3 shades (light, fair and ivory). im about nc15 or 20, or estee lauder double wear in ecru. this is probably the best concealer ive found so far. it does crease, but most of them do on my under eye area. applicator is unsanitary and should be removed. ivory is the lightest shade, so if you are super fair it might not be a great match.

I really liked this product when I first tried it- it was a little challenging to use the giant brush, but it filled in the gaps nicely, made my brows look fuller without additional products, stayed put well. The color seemed nice- rather cool and natural (I bough this in dark brown). However... as the day went on, the color of the product started to change- it got warm and yellowish. I first though that maybe it reacted with the foundation, so tried it without any products around, and yup, this turns weird yellowish color after a few hours on wear on me. Such a shame. This could be so nice.Back to essence's make me brow and nyx's brow cake.

I always have one of these in my stock since I first discovered it. I'm very fair skinned send the light shade looks amazing on my skin. Unlike other stick highlighters, you can apply this directly to face from the tube without disturbing your foundation. I'll usually wear a powder highlight then apply this at the highest points of my cheekbones and just blend with fingers our beauty blender and the end result is a whole lot of Pop! It is very eye-catching...especially in the sun. I've received compliments on many occasions while wearing this and the best news...they came out with this in liquid form which is even MORE beautiful if that's possible

When these came out, I swatches one and left the store with 3 different palettes! The formula of these shadows are very buttery and they blend well. The pigmentation was so much better than I expectedand the shimmers/metallics are very eye catching and i live the compact size...BUT I cannot to a whole eye look with these palettes because there is either no mattes our just 1 matte and the finish of these shadows would be to overwhelming put all together but I have found they play nicely with other shadows so I can use one if these gorgeous blinding shades with shadows from a different palette which I often do. And the highlighting shade under my brow bone usually comes from one of these.

This is my go to daily under eye concealer. I use this even if I don’t wear any foundation because I’ve started getting some light purple tones under the eyes as I age. I have dry skin but if i moisturize well this works just fine. If I need a little help, I apple some MAC strobe cream first and then this. I set with a mini compact I have of the hourglass powder. Doesn’t crease and is very comfortable. I love the price point too it doesn’t perform any less than high end. My circles aren’t super bad though and I don’t have a lot of lines so I can’t say how it performs with those traits.

Holy grail drug store concealer - love the easy to use applicator, creamy consistency and shade range. I love to use neutraliser as it's got a yellow tone. For £8.99 in UK amazing price, lasts me all day and doesn't crease as much as other concealers.

I would like to say that this concealer is one of the good concealers in the market, I tried it for the first time and I can say that I love this product, it is not a heavy concealer but it works to cover the dark circles under the eye or some red acne marks, it can be even used instead of foundation if you have not much to cover. so I will buy it again but be careful which tone you choose it has to be lighter than your foundation in order to not look awkward.

Other than the fact that the packaging is a little huge, this powder is quite good. I use the shade 120. I see a lot of people comparing it to the L’Oréal true match powder, which the L’Oréal one is actually a little bit better in controlling oils. So if you have normal skin, this one will do. But if you have oily skin, the L’Oréal pen is a better option.
