I have oily skin, and am extremely acne-prone. My skin has responded very well to Olay Luminous Boost Concentrate (a serum w/ niacinamide) it's $22 for 1 oz. So The Ordinary's price, $5.90 for 1 oz was too good to not try out. I did a couple test spots for a week (near my eyebrows, and another near my chin) and I started to break out. I know it's not purging since I've been using stridex, glyolic acid, niacinamide in Olay products.I've stopped using this on my face, and I'm using it on my neck & hands. I'm going to go back to the Olay serum & probably eventually put down the $$$ for Paula's Choice 10% niacinamide. I really wish The Ordinary would make a dupe for Paula's Choice--the simplicity is amazing for people with extremely acne-prone skin. It is very moisturizing, and worth a shot for the price. Be cautious if you have a similar skin type to me.

Be very very cautious when using this. It gave me terrible reaction - we are talking contact dermatitis level irritation with red, itchy and scaly spots that are very difficult to soothe and repair. I used the peel sparingly and kept it on for only 5min. My skin is not particularly sensitive, combination in mid-30's. I have been using skinceuticals retinol 1% for couple years plus I regularly use biologique recherche original p50 acid toner. I think 30% AHA in the Ordinary peel is way way to abrasive and harsh for casual home use. I'm now on the dermlogica barrier repair regimen to get my skin sorted out....

Of the Ordinary products I've tried this is the best. Good exfoliation and lactic stings less than glycolic, on most people anyway. There is definitely a smell. I thought it remind me of a digestive biscuit- if you're not British that won't mean a thing!

I love this rose hip seed oil. One of my favorite products from The Ordinary and which I have already repurchased. It comes in a dropper bottle which has UV protective coating. I tap on several drops all over my face as well as to my chest and back of hands. It is quite greasy at first so I apply only at night but it gradually sinks in and leaves my skin very soft. I have also been applying generously to the backs of my hands along which unfortunately show a lot of signs of age (hereditary thin skin and age spots) but lately they seem to be looking better which is probably due to this and the Ordinary 2% retinoid I've been using. I've noticed that over the past year, since I've incorporated Deciem products in my skin care (both the Ordinary and Hylamide) including the HA, retinoid and vitamin C as well as the oils, my skin is rarely dry or flaky and is looking softer, more moisturized and even-toned. I follow the advice on their website to not use more than 3 products in one session so alternate the products on different days/nights. But lately I always find it helpful to use the rose hip seed oil every night followed by a light moisturizer to lock in the oil.

This was okay. Not an exciting product but one that I used so regularly that I went through it quickly. I think I probably enjoyed other more complex HA products better (specifically Jordan Samuel Hydrate) but due to the price, I foresee myself adding this to cart to some future Deceim hauls.

Serum foundation in 2.0 NI normally wear Revlon Colorstay 180 deepened with Revlon DNA 25 or 30.This goes on beautifully and wears well. Not a full coverage, but does a great job. Doesn't move and by the end of the day I don't see it collecting or patching.I am a big fan of this brand, so I am biased. The reason the packaging gets a 4 is that the pump is hard to get a smooth even application and will squirt if you aren't careful.Highly recommend.

I like this, I don't love it. I don't mind the texture, or the weird plastic smell, but I don't find it's doing much for my skin. I find that too much comes out of the tube at once because it is really runny.I wish this did a little more for me, but I honestly haven't noticed a difference in my skin... but you can't beat the price!

There's almost an equal amount of love/hate for this product. I'm firmly in the love camp: I feel like I'm getting the benefits of a peel without any of the peeling! I've been using Skinceuticals CE+Ferulic for years, and I've been paying the big money because I thought it was really protecting my skin from sun damage. However, since moving to the beach it's not working that well, even though I'm fanatical about wearing sunscreen, a hat & glasses. When the price went up to $165, I put my foot down. I'm tired of spending a fortune on skincare. My skin is dry. It used to be sensitive, but is now pretty strong from daily Vit. C and weekly glycolic acid. I chose this suspension because it was the only one from The Ordinary that didn't have silicones. As suggested on the website's regimen guide, I'm using this at night. (I bought the Resveratrol + Ferulic for day, and I'll review that once I've been using it longer. It's taking a lot of discipline to try these products one at a time!) I was planning to start with a patch test, but when I didn't experience any burning I ended up putting it all over. I shake the tube, squeeze out a pea-sized amount, and spread it across my fingertips. That covers my face, neck, and chest. Make sure your face is dry -- I think water may exacerbate the burning sensation. I expected to feel major grittiness, but honestly, the powder in the formula is super-fine and was barely noticeable. It is also odorless. I gently massage the product in, and it all absorbs into my skin rather quickly. Don't use too much. After it absorbs, I top it with hyaluronic acid and moisturizer. (Love the squalane!) The only times I've felt any tingling was when I had a scratch near my eyebrow, and one time when I spritzed water on my face after applying the serum.Even after the first use, I saw a difference in the morning. My skin was bright and glowy. Every morning my brown spots are more faded, and my skin is soft and clear. There is no dryness or flakiness. I've purchased the Ordinary's alpha arbutin to deal with brown spots, but I haven't added it to my regimen yet. But I'm really amazed at the results I'm getting from this one, inexpensive serum. It's a winner in my book!

I'm 70, and almost didn't buy this product because of expense and, seriously, what could it do at this point in my life? My skin's pretty good: I have been using cosrx snail, retinol, vitamin c, etcThere was an immediate improvement: even smoother, lines blurred. I use it at night because my old skin is getting thinner/more sensitive. But my skin looks great! If it does this for me, well .... it's worth a shot. It is pricey, but I feel like I'm using less of the other serums. Highly recommend.

This has worked miracles on my skin! After one use, I noticed my acne was much less angry, my skin was smoother, and I had a glow. After weeks of use, my skin is much brighter and I barely break out anymore! It is gentle enough on my skin that I haven't had any redness, peeling or irritation. Other retinols I have used in the past have caused sensitivity and flaking, bit this one is just so soothing. This even fixed spots/blackheads/texture that even my trusty Paula's Choice BHA and AHA gels can't rid! My nightly routine is cleanse, BHA, AHA, this retinoid, moisturiser with a couple of drops of the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and then let it absorb before bed. My skin hasn't looked better! I am 32, have dry skin and starting to get forehead and undereye lines. Hopefully the retinol slows this process!

This is oil is wonderful. It sinks in nicely, so moisturizing but doesn't clog your pores. I recently had a bad experience with a moisturizer and this oil helped tame the drying and redness on my skin. It's also so affordable. I highly recommend trying it.

Highly moisturizing, non-clogging and travel friendly. This saved my skin during a trip to Greece. I love swimming in the sea, but my face gets so dry! I applied this product with a light moisturizer on top and my face felt so hydrated. The hydration lasted all day. So instead of applying a heavy cream, which in the summer clogs my pores, I will just apply this serum and a light moisturizer.

There is nothing not to like about this! The price is fantastic, it’s a nice, light oil that absorbs quickly yet provides loads of moisture that lasts all day. There is no odor, and it works well on top of serums and under makeup. It makes my skin soft and dewy. I use it on top of hyaluronic acid and even mixed with hyaluronic acid, and sometimes this is all the moisture that I need.I like a lot of oils, but squalane is supposed to be very stable, so that’s another reason to like it. I also read that it's a very healing oil, and I got to test it on my knee after a bike accident. I had three big red sores on my knee, and I'm really surprised at how much better they look after just two days of putting squalane on them twice a day.

This was the first product that I tried from The Ordinary, and I made sure not to use other new products with it so I could give it a good test. I’ve tried the Skinceuticals version, which is about $79 more than this one. This serum is clear, odorless, and somewhat thick. It is not quite as viscous as glycerin, which is one of the ingredients and a great moisturizer in itself. Just two drops will cover my face, neck, and chest, and I massage it in to get some blood flow to my skin and to help it absorb. It can feel a little tacky for awhile, but I have no problem following with other products and my cream foundation. My face feels moist and protected from dehydration, and my makeup looks good, so I really like it. I also added some of this to my homemade moisture mist. The first couple of days just felt good, but after the third day I noticed that my skin looked more plump and lines seemed less noticeable. The key is not to use too much — a little goes a long way, and if you use too much it will be sticky. I can imagine that this may feel too heavy for someone with oily skin, but then they wouldn’t need the extra moisture in the first place. I think this is a great product, and the price is phenomenal.

This is less liquidy than the serum foundation. It has twice as much coverage, that being medium to almost full. I consider full coverage something that could cover a tattoo. It also oxides darker and to a different undertone than it should be like the serum foundation (see pictures). The finish is dewy, yet it clings to texture and dry patches, making your skin look kind of bad. You will need to set it because it doesn't really set/dry down. Even though I set it with powder, after 2 hours, it starts to slide around my face and transfer so easily. I don't consider my skin oily, but oil comes out though the day like anyone. So that's a huge downside.I will rebuy this because it's cheap and appropriate for running errands. I have acne 'scars' and this is better then nothing. I don't like to use expensive foundation when i'm getting some eggs :)It's worth trying out. I recommend this over the serum foundation because it covers better, but many people seem to like the serum foundation. Maybe pick up both. Before and after pictures on blemished skin shown in my video and/or on my blog.
