Firstly I think the concept of these is fantastic. Secondly I have not been able to escape Clinique ID no matter where I go or travel to. It's been marketed and then some! Even in London not so long ago the entire Oxford circus tube station - walkways, escalators, tunnels were dedicated entirely to Clinique's latest launch. And so there it was...no escaping = I had to have it! Already a big fan of the Hydrating Jelly (please see my separate review for this as much more in-depth on the main product itself), I got myself onto e-bay and found a U.S seller who had a one-use sample pack for all 5 variations. I purchased 3 lots of each, just enough for me to get an initial idea on how the products work, using one very AM or PM for 3 consecutive days. I did notice that the sample size was quite generous and probably would have lasted longer than the one use it claims to, but decided to use on neck and throat too rather than get one and a half uses out of it which would be pointless. Note this is not a definitive review of the long-term benefits and results with the products, only my initial observations as I didn't use these for long enough. So here it goes in order of most to least favorites... Blue - Pores & uneven skin texture. Used AM. This one was my favorite and used over the course of 3 days it did help improve the texture of my skin, not massively but noticeably so. Pores looked ever so slightly smaller and my skin just felt less bumpy and looked smoother, yet no 'dried out' as some AHA containing products can make your skin feel. Makeup also seemed to both go on better and last longer too. If I had to purchase the jelly with a cartridge in the future then this is the one it would be. Orange - Fatigue. The effects from using this were very similar to the blue one, probably due to the inclusion of Glycolic acid, yet it also has a BHA in it (salicylic) which helped more with the odd blemish than the blue one did. In other words if you're torn between the two I'd say opt for blue if it's mainly texture you're looking to improve and hydration. orange if it's texture (but not as much effect as blue cartridge) plus blemishes. I can't vouch for its effect on 'fatigued looking skin' as mine very rarely if ever looks fatigued so if there was any difference in that department, it's lost on me. Purple - Lines & Wrinkles. Used PM. The effect I noticed on my skin was similar to what I've noticed with PC's Ceramide Enriched Firming Moisturizer. It helps make your skin look slightly better somehow. I'd like to say 'taut' but I don't know if that would be the correct or honest term. It is noticeable though, just an overall better looking skin. The advantage Clinique has over PC is that you can add the purple cartridge to DDML and get a much richer, more emollient product, meaning no need to use a separate moisturizer later as PC is not very moisturizing, although it is slightly more effective imo. Noticed a small bump appear on my forehead by day 3 of using but uncertain whether linked to this or just a coincidence. For its anti-aging benefits it definitely requires more time and applications to see results I say. White - Uneven skin tone. I don't know if the concentration of the active ingredients isn't high enough, but this was the one with the most impressive ingredients which I was expecting to rank as my fave. Turns out it does brighten but perhaps not at the level I'd envisioned. I reckon this is one that needs more time (like the purple one) to reveal its full effects. Green - Irritation. I do have sensitive skin (reactive would be a better word) which currently seems to be doing fine, hence not noticing much from this at all. I do also have a spot of redness around the sides of my nose which I was curious whether this would help with but not noticed anything, again probably needs more time. But bonus - I did notice a slight reduction in a blemish, something I did not expect (probably the AHA and BHA) as I used this straight after the purple one had finished (I'm guessing purple gave may have given me the small bump on my forehead that I mentioned earlier). Verdict: Glad to have had a play around with these and if I get around to purchasing one (most likely the blue one) I will stop by and update after giving it more time to work. The above are just my initial observations, nothing more. In my experience all good products take time to reveal their true efficacy, there's only so much you can glean from a small sample. I purchased this in the colour 'Love Pop' and it is very pretty. I would describe it as a medium plummy pink with a subtle frost. The formula is creamy and the shape of the actual lipstick makes for a steady, precise application. This does't turn any weird colours on me like some lipsticks do and stays true to the application colour even after several hours. I also find this lipstick makes my lips look slightly fuller which I think is due to the subtle frost in this particular colour.

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN! I have ultra-sensitive, dry skin and this moisturiser just stings my face and sits on the surface. It has an obvious irritant for sensitive skin - LANOLIN ALCOHOL not to mention colour, with no soothing ingredients. The other Clinique moisturising lotions ( gel and jelly) are not hydrating enough. Instead, I use Marcelle Moisture Cream (for daily hydration for face and eye area) & Marcelle Night Cream for really cold dry days & nighttime use for my extremely sensitive cuperose skin.

I use this as an under eye concealer for dark circles. I’ve been using since it first came out and it’s the only thing that works for me! I use a small amount over moisturizer and set with light dusting of powder. It lasts forever since I’m using such a small amount so the price is very inexpensive. A must have!!

Could there be any better time to review a mascara than 19 hours (just about) after I applied it? Probably not, this is the closest I'm ever going to get to 24 hours so here goes... It's currently 4.46am where I am and I applied 2 coats of this yesterday morning at 10am before heading to my workplace (indoors), followed by short stints in and out of air conditioned air into 80 f humid air. Any smudging or run? Nope, none whatsoever! Past midnight I had what could probably be the equivalent of a 4 hour gym session (but on a dance floor!) and still here I am ready to remove with my trusty facial cloth and warm water and it is STILL ON! No racoon eyes, no flaking over the last 19 hours and definitely no clumping when I applied it. It doesn't give me quite the amount of length or thickening that I see with Lancome's Hypnose but it's not too far behind either. Seperates my lashes nicely and super easy to remove at the end of the day. I've tried this twice before and had no issues, the real test will be come summer when my makeup in general has a tendency to melt regardless of what precautions I take. Until then this is definitely what I'm going to keep using. I have this in shades invisible blend and transparency 2. The invisible blend I got first and it is just that - invisible. I like using this to set my eye lid primer so blending eye shadow is easier. It doesn’t have anything shimmery in it so I like to use this when my chosen combo of moisturizers and foundation for the day comes out really shiny and I want to tone the shine down a bit. Transparency 2 has a definite pink satin tone and looks great dusted over a tinted mineral sunscreen. My skin is very fair and leans cool so I think this shade works best for me.My skin is dry and things like the weather, my choice of moisturizers and wether I am properly hydrated affect it severely, so I have good days using this powder and not so good days. But so far this powder is the least drying I have found. I bought Clinique’s powder brush to use with this because the retractable brush they include is a joke. I don’t ever need to add more powder to my face and carry it loaded with a little powder, so it pretty much ends up in the trash.I think for the amount of product the jar contains it is an excellent value and would probably replace it if lost. But since it does have so much I have no idea when I would need to buy more, I use so little I can see this lasting me for over a year!

Takes off all my make-up without any irritation. I do use a cleanser afterward to get all the balm off.

It took me a minute to notice how much I like this. I went through one of the $5 tubes from ulta ans really didnt notice anything special other than simple hydration. But something about it made me want to try again and now that I've started into my 2nd bottle, I've noticed that it's actually really nice and I plan on buying a larger bottle soon as I run out again. If I am really tired and just want to take off my makeup and go to bed, ,if I use this by itself for some moisture replacement it really does the trick all on it's own. Works great over serum too. But my point is, even if used alone, I wake up GLOWING!! This jelly is super hydrating and sinks in beautifully. I hate the ddmcream and lotion, it is horrible on my skin even thoi have dry skin. But this is a whole other thing and I really do recommend it if you're looking for a nice low maintenance gel moisturizer that absorbs well, plays nice with others and hydrates very well, leaving skin with a beautiful dewy glow....

Very nice product! Makes the skin look dewy and plump and also has a good coverage. It does crease in the lines of my eyes but i avoid putibg it there. One of my friends told me i look like a doll while i was wearing this. I would buy it again but only on sale. I would not spend the full price haha

Lightweight but broke me out after 2 days of use on my acne prone dehydrated skin. This moisturizer is lightweight and sinks in well though. Going back to DDMG

Could Even Better Glow be The One for me? I tried a sample of Even Better foundation in Golden Neutral, which is a great match to my skin in Clinique's Beyond Perfecting (BP) foundation but somehow it seemed a tiny bit too light in Even Better. I thought I'd try again at a different Clinique counter, explaining I'd been matched to Golden Neutral in BP. The assistant said that Clinique foundations don't all follow the same shade names and numbers, so she checked a guide and saw that the corresponding shade to Golden Neutral in Even Better Glow is Oat. I didn't really want Glow but hey, it's a free sample...... I usually avoid anything that suggests glow. I'm in my mid-50s, good skin, look younger, but shimmery stuff when you're older tends to highlight things like pores and lines that otherwise aren't obvious. I put this on in good natural light and wow! Firstly, it's a light, thin texture that feels more like a tinted moisturiser and glides easily across the skin with fingers. Coverage; light to medium, more than the texture suggests and like the original Even Better gave me a beautiful, natural finish. Next, the shade. Oat looked right on my skin. Is there such a thing as a perfect match? I'm not sure, but Clinique's Oat/ Golden Neutral are as close as it gets for me. They seem to have really improved their shade and undertone range since I last used their foundations (a while ago!). Now to the glow; to my relief this foundation doesn't "glow" as such but gives me a healthy radiant look which I really like, with no sparkles. I always use powder, but a light dusting sets while letting the radiance through. I don't normally wear foundation on a daily basis but this is so easy to use, and gives such great results, that I'll very likely buy this when I run out of my sample.Update 14/02/2019: bought full size during 15% off promotion. I really like how this foundation doesn't settle into pores and lines, and looks so natural. It's brought me back to daily foundation use for the first time in years!

I'm thinking the salesperson heard "mom" and "smudgeproof" and ran with it forgetting the implied making lashes lush and long -- or, at least, more noticeable. It doesn't smudge but it sucks as a mascara (for ME, at least?)

Wow! I am shocked by the performance of this mascara. I have sparse Asian lashes, can’t hold a curl and most waterproof mascaras leave a visible black smudge by the end of the day. I tried this mascara on (not expecting much). I over curled my lashes at first because Clinique Mascara makes my lashes fall upon first coat. Not this one! One coat and my lashes were elevated and stayed put all day! No black smudge under my eyes at the end of the day and the best part......I simply applied gentle pressure with my usual face wash and it was gone! I have been on the search and tried so many mascaras to avoid having to mail order my HG Asian mascara, because at the end of the day, it cost me just as much as this Clinique mascara after paying shipping costs. This mascara was hard to find, but I finally bought it at my local Ulta (it was the last one). I love the fact that I can apply this mascara with little effort and remove it in the shower. My co-workers asked me today if I was wearing false lashes. I don’t expect much for volume because I don’t have much to work with, but it sure separated and elevated my lashes. The brush scared me a bit, but worked beautifully. Mascara is a personal choice and this may not work for everyone, but it fulfilled my expectations and this will become my new HG!

Went with the hype. This product doesn't absorb, or at least leaves some film and residue on the face that if you rub your skin or try to apply foundation it BALLS UP. I'd recommend their yellow fluid, but since that one consists of high amount of mieral oil which 1-dollar store brands use in body lotions, forget them both...

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN! I use the regular moisture surge & grew to love it! So I went in today & was telling the consultant my face has been extremely dry from winter weather & she recommended me try the moisture surge intense hydrator. So I get home and did my normal 3 step clinique acne products. I waited a few hrs & right before bed applied this and O.M.G within a few minutes my eye lids and everywhere around them were burning so bad!! It has literally burnt my skin from irritation soo bad! I dont know what they put in this crap & why its soo much more harsh than the original but they clearly need to discontinue this!!! If you have sensitive skin ect DO NOT USE THIS!
Are you sure this product is discontinued?
