Had to give it a go, considering that my granddaughters genuine obsession for The Ordinary. The promise of 10% Matrixyl for less than the cost of a coffee, it's well-worth the gamble. At application, the consistency was stickier than most serums, but diminished some after 15 minutes and even more so after adding a layer of moisturizer. Although not a fan of droppers due to contamination risk, I persisted for twice daily for 3 days, when I threw in the towel seeing no visible improvements. This old girl's skin need a bit more help, so I prefer extra-ordinary. As it turns out, my granddaughters also prefer extra-ordinary skincare when Gammy is paying. :-)

I had no wrinkles, none, very smooth skin younger than my years without Botox etc. Used this, wondered why skin around my eyes was getting wrinkled and crepey. Used it some more to get rid of puffiness, thought the sudden ageing was ageing, but over two weeks? Skin looks many years older. I have dry skin and now I don’t know what lasers etc will be needed to get my skin back how it was or if that’s possible. I am binning my bottle. Do not use if you have dry skin, maybe it won’t harm oily, maybe. It’s like curing a headache with decapitation.

I love this product, so so so much. I have oily, dehydrated and acne prone skin which goes in phases of being super resistant to anything to super sensitive to anything. I try to keep a consistent routine including vitamin C, Salicylic acid, Retinol and Lactic acid and this serum actually fits perfectly into the routine, providing some healing, calming and zit clearing qualities to it. The serum is runny, sticky but not thick. I layer it over Bioderma Hydrating Toner and under TO Matrixyl and it doesn't ball up on me, unlike other users' experience. You only need a couple of drops to cover face and neck, so that might be the trick. The bottle is ok, not the most efficient means of dispensing but not bad either and the dropper itself hasn't clogged up or anything. I noticed that when I use this consistently, my skin is less oily overall, my active spots are calmed and the scabs from previous spots are drier and heal faster. I don't know if it really does anything for my pigmentation as it is melasma- like (haven't had it diagnosed, but my guess is that it is) but I wasn't expecting much in that respect anyway. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who as active acne and oily skin in general. It just works. Always spot test and give it some time before giving up, skin has a 28 day renewal cycle.

I've used this and the original one when it came out the first time. I love it I use Tretinoin as well with no problems. The lowest dose Tretinoin for 10 months. I alternate and they work great together. I'd highly recommend this to anyone in their 40's it's a great precursor to Retinal A if your going to do that. I'm a bit upset this isn't as affordable as it first was. Other than that Fantastic . I'm in my 50s my skin is flawless. Just hoping in the long term it helps. My cousin said I'm getting younger. So we'll chuffed. If you react in any way I'd say slowly is the way. I never had any problems at all. I honestly don't think anyone will. But start off once a week then after 2 weeks up to twice a week, and so on.

I really like The Ordinary products. This product is mainly used for preventative results. The formula is very light weight and absorbs into the skin quickly. I notice my forehead lines and smile folds seem to be less pronounced now that I have been using this product for about a year. I believe it is a great product to add to any skin care routine to help with anti ageing.

Love this facial oil! It hydrates my retinol-treated skin SO well and absorbs into my skin after a good twenty minutes or so. I can only compare it to facial oils I've bought at Marshall's which are thicker, don't penetrate the surface, and leave my skin dry or broken out in the end. The only drawback to this oil is that it is not easily controlled with the dropper (i.e. simply pulling the dropper out has caused oil to slip out and onto my counter).

Amazing primer! Makeup application is night and day with this primer. It makes makeup apply much more evenly, blurres the pores and makes my foundation last all day! 😍

I have used DIY Vitamin C serums in the past, so I know my skin responds well to L-ascorbic acid. I've used a couple of vitamin C derivative products (Mad Hippie and Andalou Naturals) recently and discovered that I much prefer straight up L-ascorbic acid. This stuff is ok. The texture is weird, but it's to be expected, it's a suspended powder. I get around it by putting a less than pea-sized drop on my hand, adding 2-3 drops of The Ordinary's Resveratrol, and rubbing my hands together vigorously before patting it onto my skin. My skin tends to be sensitive and applying this way hasn't irritated me yet. I have a jar of L-ascorbic powder and will be DIYing my vitamin C serums for a while. But I would totally repurchase this. It's cheap, kinda-fussy-but-less-fussy-than-DIY, and very visibly improves my skin tone.

I purchased this as part of a package deal on boxing day. Having used another oil cleanser, I oil cleanser does not work for me. It could be the type of makeup I use, as I go between full coverage Estee Lauder foundation and Mischa BB cream, and found it does not cleanse it off on the first go. I use it with the Shiseido face brush, on a dry face and then rinse with water. It requires a double cleansing, which is what seems to be the fad these days. I was doubling up with micellar cleaner and when you think about it, that is the opposite of high efficiency. As I use white face towels to clean my face, I can still see make up stains on the towels after the double cleanse. So I am back to Shiseido's Whip It cream.By the way, I use the little baby cloth's that are about 6x6 and come in packs of 6 to dry my face. Use a clean one daily and throw in the laundry after each use. They are available in the kids section for less than $5. They are thin, but as you are simply patting your face, there is no need for thick ultra absorbent towels.

Was so excited to try these Ordinary products after all the positive reviews however this and the natural moisterizing factor-HA, didn’t do any good to my skin, instead it gave me an intense burning sensation and red blotchy rashes it nearly burnt my skin out - took over a week for my skin to feel normal again.

This product killed my skin in one day! After reading reviews on the website and on here i thought what have I been missing - So naively I bought few of these moisturizers along the ordinary serums from online thinking it’s defenitely for me however when I applied I felt a burning sensation then immediately after a minute my skin flared up with little red blotchy rashes.. I kept it on thinking maybe it will go away by the evening, but it didnt. I washed it off! Next day the rash was still there but I reapplied the moisterizer this time the rashes flared up even more with a great flaming sensation, it took over a week for my skin to be normal again; it left my skin blotchy, rashy, dry and patchy NEVER again. For me this product isn’t moisterizing and unbeneficial! Still in search for the perfect moisterizer!

This is the most flawless foundation I have ever used, and I currently have 13 foundations. It's beautiful. I use mac nw20 in the winter, and nw25 in the summer, and I purchased 1.2P in the coverage foundation and it's a perfect match. It applies best with a beauty blender, for me personally. The 1st time I applied it is was ASTOUNDED at the finish. I just couldn't stop looking at my skin. It only lasts say, 7 hours, looking pretty dang good, but then it starts to fade. And I've never had a foundation fade so gracefully. No breaking up on my nose or forehead, no rubbing off on my nose, nothing. Just an even fade away. I love it! Oh, and the TO's other skincare products are awesome as well! If Sephora started selling TO's foundation lines, they would become even more rich!

it is very thick consistency, but once it has contact with your skin, the product just melts. I saw that this moisturizer is the dupe for the Clinique DDMG. I think it's quite the same in the effect to the skin, doesn't do much. tbh it makes my oily even more oily than the DDMG, especially if you live in tropical country where it's always hot. it just melts your make up. the smell isn't as bad as people would say.

I can't say what it is about this but I wake up and my face is almost glowing. It's been great at reducing flakes from my acne treatments.
