Treatments (Face) -Deciem - The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%

I am on my second tube of this. I use it in the morning and layer with other products on top. While I don't really get stinging and I do find it quite moisturizing I don't think I have really had a noticeable improvement in my skin with it. I would expect radiance, perhaps a small reduction in fine lines. I guess the real test would be to stop using it and see if my skin looks worse.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem - The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%

This is best paired with the Niacinamide 10% from The Ordinary. On its own, it doesn't really give that much outstanding result. But when paired together spots fade faster, skin tone becomes even, and better texture. Like others said, this leaves tacky feeling. Too much and it will ball. It's a stable formulation. No irritation even when used twice a day. With only 12% not sure how much is being absorbed into the skin converting to ascorbic acid. Also not a fan of the dropper bottle.

It's a good starting point for anyone who wants to try Vitamin C serum without the irritation or splurging too much. If you're someone who's used to better formulation/ higher concentration/ more effective versions of ascorbic acid then this may not be for you. It's very gentle and will not produce immediate results or give you the "WOW" factor. It does take time to see any results. In my case, I had to mix it with the Niacinamide to see results. It's important to remember "YMMV".

Repurchase? 50-50. It's not bad. Just maybe want to try something of higher concentration.

This made my skin red and flakiy in areas. It shouldn't surprize me. Try though I might, every product from this company mase my skin either red, dry, flaky, over sensitized or, most often all three. I tried 5 products and had the same reaction.

Foundations -Deciem - The Ordinary Serum Foundation

HG foundation for me.

It has the consistency of water but has an impressive amount of coverage given how light it is. The result is semi-matte and very natural. It lasts a long while with minimal powdering. I would surely buy again and again!

Foundations -Deciem - The Ordinary Coverage Foundation

I have such a love hate relationship with this foundation. I'm currently on the quest for the right foundation for me, because my skin in a nutshell is:
- Dry
- Very fair with cooler undertones
- Susceptible to rosacea

I got the colour 1.0 NS and it's a perfect match for me and so beautiful. The price is right too. Upon first application, at the end of the day on top of a bit of concealer, this looked so ugly and dry. After some experimentation, I discovered that this is best worn without primer on moisturised skin. This foundation never really sets, but does have good buildable coverage. I prefer my coverage to be light-medium, and you can achieve it with one pump of this foundation, but full coverage can be attained without cakiness, so that's an A+ right there. But now the formula; it never really sets, and will slip off quickly if you do not set this with powder. Be light handed with powder as if you apply too much, it will coagulate because the foundation stays wet, so a C- there. After setting with powder, a setting spray helps melt this into the skin, and it looks natural but really pretty. I live in Australia so it's really hard to get a hold of cheap drugstore foundations. This is definitely the cheapest one I've ever found (at $12 AUD a bottle) and I think it does a good job for the price. The price is definitely right on this one. Though you do have to go to some extra steps to get a good result, it ultimately is a great option for people on tight budgets and gets the job done well and you can rely on it if you need a good go-to foundation.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem - The Ordinary Niacinamide 10 Zinc 1

I have oily skin, and am extremely acne-prone. My skin has responded very well to Olay Luminous Boost Concentrate (a serum w/ niacinamide) it's $22 for 1 oz. So The Ordinary's price, $5.90 for 1 oz was too good to not try out.

I did a couple test spots for a week (near my eyebrows, and another near my chin) and I started to break out. I know it's not purging since I've been using stridex, glyolic acid, niacinamide in Olay products.

I've stopped using this on my face, and I'm using it on my neck & hands. I'm going to go back to the Olay serum & probably eventually put down the $$$ for Paula's Choice 10% niacinamide. I really wish The Ordinary would make a dupe for Paula's Choice--the simplicity is amazing for people with extremely acne-prone skin.

It is very moisturizing, and worth a shot for the price. Be cautious if you have a similar skin type to me.

Masks -Deciem - The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Be very very cautious when using this. It gave me terrible reaction - we are talking contact dermatitis level irritation with red, itchy and scaly spots that are very difficult to soothe and repair. I used the peel sparingly and kept it on for only 5min. My skin is not particularly sensitive, combination in mid-30's. I have been using skinceuticals retinol 1% for couple years plus I regularly use biologique recherche original p50 acid toner. I think 30% AHA in the Ordinary peel is way way to abrasive and harsh for casual home use. I'm now on the dermlogica barrier repair regimen to get my skin sorted out....

Skincare - Face -Deciem - The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

Of the Ordinary products I've tried this is the best. Good exfoliation and lactic stings less than glycolic, on most people anyway. There is definitely a smell. I thought it remind me of a digestive biscuit- if you're not British that won't mean a thing!

Moisturizers -Deciem - The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

on 9/23/2017 8:23:00 PM

I love this rose hip seed oil. One of my favorite products from The Ordinary and which I have already repurchased. It comes in a dropper bottle which has UV protective coating. I tap on several drops all over my face as well as to my chest and back of hands. It is quite greasy at first so I apply only at night but it gradually sinks in and leaves my skin very soft. I have also been applying generously to the backs of my hands along which unfortunately show a lot of signs of age (hereditary thin skin and age spots) but lately they seem to be looking better which is probably due to this and the Ordinary 2% retinoid I've been using. I've noticed that over the past year, since I've incorporated Deciem products in my skin care (both the Ordinary and Hylamide) including the HA, retinoid and vitamin C as well as the oils, my skin is rarely dry or flaky and is looking softer, more moisturized and even-toned. I follow the advice on their website to not use more than 3 products in one session so alternate the products on different days/nights. But lately I always find it helpful to use the rose hip seed oil every night followed by a light moisturizer to lock in the oil.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem - The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5

This was okay. Not an exciting product but one that I used so regularly that I went through it quickly. I think I probably enjoyed other more complex HA products better (specifically Jordan Samuel Hydrate) but due to the price, I foresee myself adding this to cart to some future Deceim hauls.

Liquid -Deciem - The Ordinary Colours Serum Foundation

on 9/23/2017 3:11:00 PM

Serum foundation in 2.0 N
I normally wear Revlon Colorstay 180 deepened with Revlon DNA 25 or 30.

This goes on beautifully and wears well.

Not a full coverage, but does a great job.

Doesn't move and by the end of the day I don't see it collecting or patching.

I am a big fan of this brand, so I am biased.

The reason the packaging gets a 4 is that the pump is hard to get a smooth even application and will squirt if you aren't careful.

Highly recommend.

I like this, I don't love it. I don't mind the texture, or the weird plastic smell, but I don't find it's doing much for my skin. I find that too much comes out of the tube at once because it is really runny.I wish this did a little more for me, but I honestly haven't noticed a difference in my skin... but you can't beat the price!

There's almost an equal amount of love/hate for this product. I'm firmly in the love camp: I feel like I'm getting the benefits of a peel without any of the peeling! I've been using Skinceuticals CE+Ferulic for years, and I've been paying the big money because I thought it was really protecting my skin from sun damage. However, since moving to the beach it's not working that well, even though I'm fanatical about wearing sunscreen, a hat & glasses. When the price went up to $165, I put my foot down. I'm tired of spending a fortune on skincare. My skin is dry. It used to be sensitive, but is now pretty strong from daily Vit. C and weekly glycolic acid.

I chose this suspension because it was the only one from The Ordinary that didn't have silicones. As suggested on the website's regimen guide, I'm using this at night. (I bought the Resveratrol + Ferulic for day, and I'll review that once I've been using it longer. It's taking a lot of discipline to try these products one at a time!)

I was planning to start with a patch test, but when I didn't experience any burning I ended up putting it all over. I shake the tube, squeeze out a pea-sized amount, and spread it across my fingertips. That covers my face, neck, and chest. Make sure your face is dry -- I think water may exacerbate the burning sensation. I expected to feel major grittiness, but honestly, the powder in the formula is super-fine and was barely noticeable. It is also odorless. I gently massage the product in, and it all absorbs into my skin rather quickly. Don't use too much. After it absorbs, I top it with hyaluronic acid and moisturizer. (Love the squalane!) The only times I've felt any tingling was when I had a scratch near my eyebrow, and one time when I spritzed water on my face after applying the serum.

Even after the first use, I saw a difference in the morning. My skin was bright and glowy. Every morning my brown spots are more faded, and my skin is soft and clear. There is no dryness or flakiness. I've purchased the Ordinary's alpha arbutin to deal with brown spots, but I haven't added it to my regimen yet. But I'm really amazed at the results I'm getting from this one, inexpensive serum. It's a winner in my book!

Treatments (Face) -Deciem - Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age

I'm 70, and almost didn't buy this product because of expense and, seriously, what could it do at this point in my life? My skin's pretty good: I have been using cosrx snail, retinol, vitamin c, etc
There was an immediate improvement: even smoother, lines blurred. I use it at night because my old skin is getting thinner/more sensitive. But my skin looks great! If it does this for me, well .... it's worth a shot. It is pricey, but I feel like I'm using less of the other serums. Highly recommend.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem - The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2%

This has worked miracles on my skin! After one use, I noticed my acne was much less angry, my skin was smoother, and I had a glow.
After weeks of use, my skin is much brighter and I barely break out anymore! It is gentle enough on my skin that I haven't had any redness, peeling or irritation. Other retinols I have used in the past have caused sensitivity and flaking, bit this one is just so soothing. This even fixed spots/blackheads/texture that even my trusty Paula's Choice BHA and AHA gels can't rid!
My nightly routine is cleanse, BHA, AHA, this retinoid, moisturiser with a couple of drops of the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and then let it absorb before bed. My skin hasn't looked better!
I am 32, have dry skin and starting to get forehead and undereye lines. Hopefully the retinol slows this process!
