Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

This is fantastic at removing all of my make up at night. I double cleanse with this, and everything is gone (sometimes I need to quickly wipe my eyes with a micellar water, but what is left is minimal). You hardly need to use any, so it lasts a long time and it isn't scented so it doesn't irritate my skin. I'm already on my second jar and will purchase again!

I have used this on and off for 10 years. I recently got a new jar after not having it for a few years and it seems to be breaking me out. I never had a problem before but maybe they changed the formula. I still love how it hydrates my combo skin but not for me anymore.

Very pricey.
Hydrates my mixed dehydrated skin well.
It looks good, doesn't make me shiny during the day.
I'm still testing if it's comedogenic or not and will update this review.

[UPDATE] I stopped using it because I read bad things about silicones in skin care and this is full of silicones.

This review is based on the first time I used the product today. I totally loved the effect on my skin, and where I normally need to blot (when I use other foundations), I haven't felt the need to do so for this foundation. Gives my skin a matte effect but with a slight glow (but not shiny, if you know what I mean). It says it has skin caring properties, which I hope are true. I will continue to check and will revise my review here if needed. I just love its effect on my aging skin.

I actually like this foundation. I use "Shell". I get a lot of compliments on how great my skin looks with this. No oxidation and it matches my skin perfectly!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

This is a great basic moisturiser that hydrates my skin, isn't greasy and doesn't break me out. The pump packaging is great and the product is really good value for money as you get a lot of it. There are other moisturisers I prefer but I will buy this again if I want a cheaper option, as the others are much more expensive

This is one of the worst products I have tried.
Very pricey for what it gives. Packaging is horrible and will get on your nerves unless you buy a pump for it.
My shade is 7 silk sahara, it's too orange and dark for me (hm 51 and 52), they didn't have lighter shade in the shop.
The texture is also horrible for me. My skin is mixed dehydrated. It accentuates every line on the face and all dry areas.
Definitely not for dehydrated skin.
Coverage is medium to full but the foundation is very noticeable and feels heavy.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen

Great product! Very well designed and definitely the easiest eyeliner I have ever tried. Quite lasting and has a nice pigmentation to it. It fades a bit at the end of a very long day or if I exercise during the day, in which case I usually add a coat midday- but that is ok. The price is excellent as well. Well done Clinique!

Cleansers -Clinique - Facial Soap for Oily Skin

Probbbbaaablllyyy my favorite facial soap. The hesitancy is because I don't usually use soap (prefer face wash) and it is a little pricey (my boyfriend almost fainted when he saw me paying). That being said, it lasts FOREVER and does wonders for my oily skin. Like other reviewers, I find that it makes my skin tight... but I kind of like that. Also (confession) I sometimes use it on the rest of my body for a lovely fresh feeling :-) . I also really like the packaging.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - Moisture Surge Eye Gel

I think this product is designed for people with extremely dry skin, because it caused my normal skin to get one of those hard zits under the eye area.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Intense

foto

In the interest of full disclosure, I have REALLY dry skin. I use a rx retinol (cream-based) and live in one of the driest places on earth. With that all said, calling this 'intense' is laughable. It's not. It doesn't even remotely moisturize my skin for more than twenty or so minutes. It might be great for someone with normal skin, but it isn't adequate for truly dry skin.

After my deeply regretted Estée Lauder Nude foundation foray, I got a sample of this in Breeze. I liked the sample so much that I bought a bottle.

I love that it comes in a "dripper" bottle - I can get one drop or a whole squirt - and I don't need to worry about it spilling or breaking on the off chance I ever go anywhere. And Breeze is finally light enough for me in this formulation and does not oxidize! Praise be! It looks so perfect and human with decent coverage (I neither want nor need my skin thickly covered). There's no glimmer or glitter; just life to your skin. It definitely needs powder to finish or you might get glowy, but I mowed the lawn last night with a reel mower and it still held up. I have been using this over Clinique's Moisture Surge Concentrated blah blah blah and it's fabulous. Hat tip to the Bad Outfit, Great Lipstick blog (which is not mine; merely citing my source) which posted a Mary Greenwell makeup artist video and I have been "pummeling" this into my face in largish quantities to great effect. It also works well drop by drop and applied normally, but I can't get over the perfection I can achieve with the "pummel" (that's totally a LaVyrle Spencer vocabulary word, isn't it?). Great stuff.

Moisturizers -Clinique - After-Sun Rescue Balm

I've never had such a reaction to any Clinique product. I have sensitive skin and using a Clinique was never an issue, before this one.
This stuff burns! It burn my non sunburned face and hands. I had to wash it off and blow cold air for about 10 minutes. I'm usually not sensitive to aloe, perhaps blend of alcohols triggered this reaction. The felt like a very strong peppermint.
Never again.

This foundation continually surprises me. Finding foundations that work for my skin is an impossible challenge. As someone who has olive skin with neutral undertones and skin that's very sensitive and eczema prone finding a foundation that fits the bill is nearly impossible. I got tested for this foundation when I was in high school and 3 years later is still my go to.

This range has so many colours that suit any where from pink to neutral and even dark skin. It helps to even out any pigmentation and red spots which is always a plus. This foundation is probably about a medium coverage but it is buildable. If you want a light coverage mix a little bit of this with your favourite moisturiser and it will be like a BB cream.

You can use this foundation with a brush or a sponge and it blends so nicely! Whenever my skin is dry or sensitive, I just apply a moisturiser or serum before applying and voila! It looks beautiful, dewy and natural. For every day use I usually just stick to the foundation itself, but for night time/events I will usually use a powder to set it in place.

Long story short, I love this foundation. I've tried to steer away from it and try new and exciting foundations but I always come back to this because it WORKS. If you have sensitive skin, or find it hard to find shades seriously go and get a sample and try it out. It might just be what you're looking for.
