I like this a lot. It’s perfection on my mom, but sadly not quite as good on me. That said, I still enjoy wearing it.

Eyeliner -CLINIQUE -Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen

I got this with Sephora points, and it is now my holy grail eyeliner. I can’t praise it enough. I’ve been using it for 2 months straight now, and it shows no signs of slowing down or drying out on me any time soon. The brush tip of the pen is stiff enough to be precise, but flexible enough to get it where you want the product to go. It doesn’t fade on me all day, yet it comes off easily when I remove my makeup. I’ve tried so many eyeliners, both drug store and high end, and I never found one that met all my criteria of perfection until I got this!

Lipstick -CLINIQUE -Pop Lip Colour Primer

I'm NC20 with pale lips. I have the following shades: Nude Pop 01, Bare Pop 02, Blush pop 23, Blushing pop 01 (matte).
None of these lipsticks have a scent. The first 3 shades are more sheer and glossy looking and not long lasting. The last (blushing pop) is matte but not drying at all. All of them are great if you have dry lips, especially the first 3 shades.
- Nude Pop: Is a warm toned light pink shade with shimmer. It's a nude shade but not so light that it will wash you out if you are near to my skintone. For example Blankety, Angel by MAC are too nude for me.
- Bare Pop: neutral sheer pink with a hint of mauve and it has shimmer. Gorgeous for everyday and goes with everything. My favourite , highly recommended!
- Blush Pop: warm brownish pink. It's like the glossy version of Blushing pop. It has more colour than the previous 2 shades but it's extremely naturally looking and you will love it if you like your lipsticks to have a hint of brown. Love it!
- Blushing Pop matte but extremely comfortable on the lips. Even more comfortable than Milani and Charlotte Tilbury matte lipsticks. It's a close dupe to my holy grail pilowtalk but it's a bit more on the brown side whereas Velvet Teddy is slightly peachier than Pilowtalk. Blushing pop is a warm brownish pink, Pillow talk is more neutral.
Overall I like all the lipsticks I chose from this line especially for their formula and wearable colours.

Lipstick -CLINIQUE -Marimekko Clinique Lipstick Nude Pop #01

I'm NC20 with pale lips. The Nude Pop shade is a warm toned light pink shade with shimmer. It's a nude shade but not so light that it will wash you out if you are near to my skintone. For example Blankety, Angel by MAC are too nude for me.
It's balmi and moisturising, great for dry lips. It has a good colour pay off even though it's considered to be sheer compared to the other shades. It has no scent and it's not long lasting.
I like Nude Pop but Bare Pop is by far my favourite!

I'm so happy to have discovered this - I only wish I'd found it earlier in the summer! I have ridiculously oily teenage skin, only I'm actually 56. I've tried many "light" moisturizers that did little to control shine, but this one is the best I've found. The texture is very thin and light, and absorbs quickly without leaving behind a sticky or tacky finish. I can apply my makeup within a minute of putting on this moisturizer, and it creates a smooth, almost primer-like finish. And it wears well: my makeup doesn't separate or slide off, and while I still need to blot a bit by midday, my skin looks reasonably fresh through the day. I have also been using it as a night moisturizer, and it has worked well during the hot, humid summer months. If you have dry or combo skin, this wouldn't work for you, at least not on its own - and, come winter, I might need a heavier night cream, at the very least. But this has been a dream solution in the summer heat, and I am delighted to have found it.

Lip Gloss -CLINIQUE -Marimekko x Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss

I have just one of these, in Espresso Pop, picked up at Sephora when it was a Weekly Wow deal, for $9, which makes it a hell of a lot better deal than the standard $19 or so it normally costs.

The packaging is cute, with (in this case) a cap with a blue wavy print on it.

The gloss itself looks really dark in the tube, a deep reddish brown, or maybe a warmer berry brown. The contents are slightly deceptive, however. Swatched on my hand and it's a red-brown color, kind of medium-sheer opacity.

The doe-foot applicator it comes with is nice, and applies with a comfy firm squish (no hard edges, and there's enough pad for it to feel somewhat luxurious and plush). There's no scent or flavor here, and on my light skin and pale lips it looks pretty natural. If I build it up more it gets a bit into vampy territory, but not quite, I prefer to not apply it too heavily for fear it might look goopy and like it would run into lip lines. A moderate application and I get a nice amount of color that reminds me of a sheer wash of Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, but a touch warmer (if memory serves right, as I'm in between tubes of it right now), and glossier.
The formula, like I said, is glossy, but it's not sticky. It's nice and comfortably slick and feels soothing to me.

Staying power isn't great, as it's a true gloss, but it does wear down nicely to the point where it feels like it's evolved into a nice balm.

This will end up being a nice little friend to tote around in my purse or pocket, as it's a quick way to dress the lips in a bit of color and keep them feeling soothed, all without worrying about a cap popping off and making a mess of bags or clothing.

I'd give it five lippies all around, but am taking one off for the $19 price tag. It's a tiny bit steep for a semi-sheer gloss.

Sunscreen -CLINIQUE -Super City Block SPF 40

A product I've been using for at least 10 years, probably closer to 15. I have fair, sensitive skin with a touch of rosacea - it burns easily and I can tan pretty well, with freckles. A really superb product for coverage, SPF and non-clogging, non-greasy protection that has really protected my skin well over the years - not just sun protection, which is the most important protection, but it is called "Citiblock" because it works like a foundation, too - not as pretty or smooth without precise colour matching - but they have improved their formulations over the years and this provides a balance of good coverage, protection, and almost-a-foundation that I just put makeup over. No chemical smell, although I have noticed that if you rub your eyes, you will feel it sting (the chemicals are there but are "low dosage"). Not a 100% physical block, but a combination that is really non-irritating and provides better sun coverage than most products I've tried. I am a fan of Clinique mascaras and this product and almost never buy other Clinique products. But this product stands out, especially for fair, sensitive skin. Have lost count of how many times I've repurchased.

Skincare - Face -CLINIQUE -3 Step System

To begin with, the soap that they claim is for dry skin contains sodium sulfate which can resurface the skin or produce more oil. Sulfate was used decades ago for beauty products and then they realized that it was something aggressive for the skin. The tonic contains an alcohol that it’s supposed to be special for the skin but it stills being alcohol. I think the only product that is worth is the moisturizer the gel and the lotion... Investigate well the ingredients of the products that are put on your face and do not get carried away by marketing

This is my HG moisturizer, and I end up regretting it when I stray to try something else. Anything heavier, and I’m an oil slick, anything lighter and my face is flake city. Perfect for my combination skin!

Toners -CLINIQUE -Mild Clarifying Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

Clinique you have made a GRAVE error of judgement by discontinuing this. You know full well the replacement is a shoddy/ witch hazel riddled imposter! I have 2 bottles of this remaining and am preemptively in mourning for when the day comes to use up my final drop. I don't know where I can find a good fragrance free low level BHA toner now. And yes I've tried the 2% Paula's Choice one and I can't stand it. It makes my skin flaky and greasy at the same time.

PLEASE CLINIQUE PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY AND BRING THIS BACK

RIP not only this toner, but basically me

This is an incredible product! I have been using it for years and it took me a little while to realise it was the unsung hero in my routine. Deeply moisturising but has never clogged my pores or left a greasy film on my face (Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream I'm looking at you). I think it is good value in comparison to many of Clinique's other products and I recently searched on their website praying that it hasn't been discontinued as it has been a while since I purchased my last tube. I am also keen to cross check the ingredients list to ensure it hasn't been reformulated! I think that is definitely a sign of a well loved product.

If you are looking for a deeply moisturising night cream that is fragrance free and not going to contribute to acne - this is a great one to try!

Just boring skincare all thoughts were in terms of coming out with a funky texture and little about effective benefits. If skin is dehydrated it won’t be enough, if skin is oily it won’t control oil. What’s the point? Go figure.

Tried this out for the summer. Very lightweight moisturizer. Did not break my acne prone skin out. Not moisturizing enough for my combo skin. Would be great for oilier skin types.

Foundations -CLINIQUE -beyond perfecting powder

I LOVE THIS!! This is the absolute best pressed powder foundation I have used. It blends amazingly easily, covers my redness and large pores but never looks heavy or chalky. I have applied with the included sponge and a rounded foundation brush (mac duo fiber 187) and I prefer the sponge but the brush application isn't bad just not as full coverage. I definitely still need to use a concealer around my undereye area with this but I expected that, but I don't need to add any concealer around my nose like I usually would. I was surprised at how long this lasts, it holds up really well during a hot/humid work day. I touch up using Mac Next to Nothing powder and only need to touch up maybe once a day as opposed to my regular 5-6 times a day. This foundation does look darker in the compact than it applies and does not oxidize so try it directly on your skin. I selected .5 Breeze as I am very fair and I thought it would be too dark but it's perfect. Love the mirrored compact and the sponge included is great, the tapered edge lets me get into the corners of my nose etc. Price isn't bad at $36CAD, will definitely repurchase!
