Liquid -Clinique -Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup SPF 15

on 5/19/2018 2:08:00 AM

A little about my skin - combination; oily t-zone and normal to dry everywhere else. I would describe this foundation as medium coverage and I agree with one of the reviewers before me, it’s not glowy nor is it matte - somewhere in between. I don’t love this when first applied. It sits on top of the skin, no matter how much i blend or prep my skin before application. I find it looks best if I blend with a brush and go over it with a wet beauty sponge. And it is not kind on dry/flakey skin. It looks more natural and skin-like after a few hours of wear, once my natural oils come through. I bought this foundation for weekends - slap and dash. It’s too high-maintenance (blending with two tools) for this purpose and for this reason I won’t be repurchasing.

Treatments (Face) -Clinique -Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10%

on 5/19/2018 1:12:00 AM

This is very good. I pair it with my usual routine: serum spot eraser from Lancome and follow by La Mer moisturizing cream, I wake up with very smooth glowing skin. Love it! Excellent as pre serum / pre moisturizer. Non fragrance and good packaging for vit c. A little pricey but I’ll buy it again.

Mascara -Clinique -Naturally Glossy Mascara

on 5/15/2018 8:40:00 PM

The only reasons I can think of for someone to choose this mascara:
1 - you're not allowed to wear makeup, but desperately want to. Wear this, no one will notice.
2 - your lashes a huge, long, thick and you just want to give them a bit of color. In this case, I will suggest tinting your lashes, rather than buying this or any other mascara.

Before I've tried this mascara I thought that I love natural looking results. But Maybelline Full N Soft known for being natural looking gives dramatic lashes compared to this one.
This mascara doesn't flake, but three coats of it look like the one coat or one even just a swipe of any other mascara. It irritates my eyes and I consider it the worst ever product I wore on my lashes.

Cleansers -Clinique -Redness Solutions Soothing Cleanser

on 5/14/2018 9:02:00 PM

This is a very creamy, soothing cleanser that does leave a creamy film behind. It did take off all my mu, but I am noticing tiny clogs on my skin with a couple days after using. I did like this aside from the clogs because it left my skin soft.

Cleansers -Clinique -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

on 5/14/2018 9:20:00 AM

I have tried more expensive makeup removers and compared to Lancome, Estee Lauder, Chanel, this is affordable. If you are used to using drugstore this is expensive. I have sensitive skin and cleaners usually burn my face or I get acne from continuous use. I was using coconut oil to remove my makeup, it worked pretty good, but after continuous use, I did not like how my skin looked. I love coconut oil, but it really made my skin dull and flat, but it might be my fault. I would use solid coconut oil and rub into my skin and it would irritate my skin until it melted.

I love clinique moisture surge moisturizer and I heard of this product and had to try it. This is the first cleanser to completely remove my EL DW foundation, I was shocked! Any other cleanser, I would have to use a Olay daily wipe to remove excess. No need, this took off all face makeup! Incredible.

But, the only product that is still a struggle to remove is my waterproof gel eyeliner and mascara. It does remove it, but takes a bit more effort. But, i use to get mascara buildup on my lashes, not anymore. Just use a qtip under the eyes to get residue makeup off and rub over lashes to get any excess mascara off.

When you first look at the container it looks like Vaseline and coconut oil combined. There is a natural scent, but does not bother me. I was slightly confused on how to use it. Just dunk your fingers in and then massage into skin and makeup starts to dissolve off the face. This dissolves faster than coconut oil into skin and leaves skin much more soft than coconut oil.

I love this product. The container is pretty, but easy to contaminate it.

This leaves the skin so soft, that once I wanted to use it as a night treatment. This is not the purpose of the product. After 15 minutes, my skin started to burn.

This is wonderful product, but different, give it a chance.

Sunscreen -Clinique -Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50

on 5/14/2018 1:11:00 AM

Edit: Someone PMed asking if this is any better than the Clinique Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid For Face. Allow me to blow your mind...they're basically the same formula, just slightly rearranged ingredients LOWER on the ingredient list. So the performance honestly isn't much different. The Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid For Face just costs more for less product. Screw that. Clinique gets away with it because consumers rarely double check.

I like this sunscreen. I am <nc10 (suuuuper pale/neutral leaning yellow). The tint is a bit darker than me BUT it blends in well and I wear foundation over it anyways.

I like that the ingredient list is simple...for a Clinique product anyways. They were smart enough to not add in useless extracts or oils so my pizzaface hasn't erupted using this.

This gives me a healthier look. It evens out my skintone before even adding foundation. So I don't need to apply as much make up. I find that the formula helps my (very matte) foundation glide on easier than bare skinned. It doesn't ball up upon application. And I love that this is NEVER cakey.

This does eventually dry down to a natural finish.

The cons:

I'm not mad about it being slightly darker than me as that is a non-issue. But I am a bit irked that Clinique doesn't offer a deeper tone for darker girls. Maybe it'll blend in on them too, but I wouldn't know because I am pasty.

I will repurchase IF Clinique keeps the price as is. Sunscreen is the one skincare product I splurge on. But if it becomes too $$$ per oz, there's a million other wonderful options on the market.

Masks -Clinique -Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask

on 5/12/2018 9:27:00 PM

This is a review for the Even Better Brighter Moisture Mask, the new version with some green writing on the tube. This did absolutely nothing. All I can say is that you better not have dry skin since after its evaporates, it will really suck the moisture out of your skin. I don't like the fact that it dries so quickly, I may as well use Cetaphil.

Liquid -Clinique -Even Better Makeup SPF 15

I created this account just to review this foundation because I love it so much and it has been my HG ever since I bought it 3 months ago.

My skin is acne prone, sensitive and very very dry in my cheeks, chin and around my mouth. However, I have an oily forehead with quite a few closed comodones. This foundation feels very lightweight on my skin, does not cause discomfort, does not have any unpleasant smells, does not break me out at all and when I take it off at the end, I feel like my skin looks better than it did in the morning before putting it on. My skin is light (not too pale) and quite neutral. I'm a CN 28 (ivory) in this and it is my perfect match, not too yellow or pink. I don't find this oxidizing on my skin. This evens out your skin tone and provides light-medium (buildable) coverage while providing a "lit from withtin" glow dewy finish (not greasy). It does not accentuate my pores or fine lines and does not grab onto flaky skin. Does not look cakey or heavy and looks like real skin.

I use it with the ELF Mineral Infused Primer and I do a light dusting of powder on my whole face and especially T-Zone to set it. Products such as bronzer, highlighter and blush blend beautifully over this foundation. Packaging is great as it's a squeeze tube which I find easy to use and hygienic. I find the price very reasonable as I have had it for 3 months and I've been using it everyday and I still have almost half a bottle.

I took off a lippie as the wear time is not the longest, for me it lasts about 8-9 hours and it does transfer a little bit, although for people with oilier skin this might not work at all. It does fade away gracefully though. Wear time could possibly be extended with more powder, by blotting excess oil and with a setting spray.

TIP: I apply this first with a flat foundation brush to maximize coverage and then blend into the skin with a beauty blender. If an area of my face needs more coverage, I'll apply a second layer with a brush again and then blend it with the sponge.

Cleansers -Clinique -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

on 5/12/2018 10:25:00 AM

I thought I would never be able to use a product like this as I break out so easily from using the wrong products (or a change in my routine, etc., etc.) so when I received a sample in my Clinique bonus I thought I'd just use it as eye makeup remover. That was a mistake for me as the next morning a had a big bump near my lash line so I put it in a drawer and forgot about it. Months later after starting Retin A and needing some TLC I decided to use this to remove my makeup (but NOT my eye makeup) gently rubbing on dry skin and wiped off with a wet baby wash cloth. I follow up with my regular foaming cleaner. I'm shocked this balm doesn't break me out as even some foaming cleansers do and it really doesn't even feel oily to me like a regular liquid oil does. Anyway, I'm really enjoying this product and I'll repurchase next time Clinique has a bonus.

Fragrances -Clinique -wrappings

on 5/11/2018 9:19:00 PM

I find it so amusing how so many people find this a "piney" Christmas`time scent! This perfume is exactly the scent of "artemisia" or CaliforniaSagebrush "tar weed" . This highly aromatic shrub blooms in mid-summer heat & and it's swoon-inducing, heady -herbal scent is wafted on warm summer breezes- (in dry foot-hill country) in my native CA. north- bay-area! For this reason it always transports me back to the beautiful vineyards of my home and remains "my true- one & only- summer-time-scent" The beauty of evokes very unique impressions for each individual! btw... note the "notes" NO pine... ARTEMISIA!!

Self Tanners -Clinique -Self Sun Body Tinted Lotion Medium/Deep

on 5/11/2018 2:18:00 AM

I’ve tried them all and I always come back to this one. I am light skinned and use the medium/deep. You get nothing with the light/medium! Anyway, the color is a nice even natural looking brown after you wash off the color guide which is a scary orange color. It lasts a good time and fades evenly. Usually 2 applications a week keep me tan all summer. I’ve searched for a decent less expensive one, but still haven’t found one!

Toners -Clinique -Clarifying Lotion #4

on 5/10/2018 2:15:00 AM

I have very oily skin and bought this product after a review that I read called it “transforming”. I found it be just that. It seemed to leave my skin brighter and smoother than before. It also seemed to help somewhat with breakouts. Like other reviewers, I must mention that I have never used it twice a day. I only have ever used as part of my evening skin care routine.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique -Pep-Start Eye Cream

The first time I tried a Clinique eye cream, it didn't end well. (See my All About Eyes review) But THIS, this was Clinique's redemption. I chose a sample of it, and immediately loved it. I switched from my other brand to this. I'm a sucker for packaging. The packaging is so very me. I love this new look of the Pep Start line. Plus: (round of applause) IT'S NOT IN A TUB!!!

The cream isn't greasy, but it moisturizes. It doesn't interfere with my makeup and doesn't irritate my eyes or cloud my vision. I don't use the ball tip to apply, I use my finger. I've noticed keeping it in the fridge enhances it's ability to erase bags. Unfortunately, it does nothing for dark circles. I love it and have noticed better eyes and no irritation while using it.

It's not anti-aging, it's not marketed as that. If you just want a sensible eye cream, I recommend.

Lip Treatments -Clinique -Superbalm Tinted Lip Treatment in Raspberry

Came as a gift with purchase. This product was a flop.

I wasn't too impressed with it, it's bright pink lip gloss. I have the shade Raspberry. It's a safe and pretty color. The tube is cute and expensive looking, but the formula is meh. It smells, feels and tastes like gelled vegetable oil. It doesn't moisturize much, doesn't last long. I actually have better lip balms from Boots that actually heal my dry lips. This did next to nothing. I gave it to my six year old daughter, and she loves it.

I wouldn't pay what they want for a full size when the exact same thing is at the dollar store, just not in a fancy tube.

Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique -Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover eye

I hate to admit it, but this is the best liquid eye makeup remover out there.

I've tried them all, drugstore and up. Only one other comes close, and it's Ulta's store brand, but it still isn't as effective and leaves my vision cloudy. Plus the oil separates from the water and you have to shake it. Not with Clinique. This is perfect for sensitive eyes. Removes anything you throw at it.

I'm a fan but still cringe at the price. I try to get it in free samples with purchase to satisfy my cheapness. Love the locking lid too! Many times I have knocked bottles over, or thrown them in a bag and they weren't closed tight. It's a staple.
