BB Cream -Chanel - CC cream

It doesn't help you if you have an oily skin because it doesn't have matte finish at all. But for the dry skin team, it's for you guys because it makes your face looks so glowing but not so oily.. but the colour range is not too many, i think that's not suitable for the medium & darker skin person..

Fragrances -Chanel - No.5

I have always enjoyed floral frangrances and I found the 50ml eau de toilette at Costco for CAD$59 and I could not pass it up.

I'll admit that although I have been lusting after this for years I was hesitant to buy it because of the "old grandmother" stigma associated with this Chanel classic. I now regret wait for so long. It smells just like jasmine and powder, so timelessly classic, luxurious and elegant and alluring.

The packaging is just gorgeous, like all things Chanel. I think I'm hooked for life.

Beautiful packaging -- the bottle is gorgeous -- but the perfume is a real disappointment, especially at the $105 price tag. Has barely any sillage. It was gone within the first thirty minutes of applying, no lasting smell, no trace at all. Gabrielle is an ideal work fragrance: it will offend no one, but also has no personality or distinctiveness.

Absolutely one of the most politely vile perfumes I have ever worn. Not quite a scrubber, but I wanted off my skin.

It opens with a huffy smell that I have only smelled in ethnic grocery store laundry soap aisles: it was powdery, chemical and powerfully but abstractly floral. It stayed that way for a long time and then after an hour it began to smell merely of a fragrance base and rather like someone who pretends to be rich, all the while racking up credit card debt.

In defense of this ghastly juice, I will say that it has a gorgeous bottle (five years it took for them to get the glass that thin and concave. I think they ought to have spent it on the juice, but the bottle is really pretty), is skillfully blended in the classic Chanel style to create a floral in which there is no discernible bloom, and lasts (too long - by perhaps this is your future signature scent and that's a plus for you). It did not strike me as a fragrance that will frighten the horses, but I want it nowhere near me.

Greasy, oily, pore highlighting mess. Period. Idea brilliant. Smell amazing. But something is off in the formula.

Foundations -Chanel - sublimage le teint foundation

I am 47 years old with pretty good skin. I have dry skin that is currently even drier due to my use of Retin A for anti aging benefits. I often have dry patches and areas of flakiness. At times my skin can be quite red and has always been sensitive.i do not like or desire a full coverage matte foundation, which is so popular right now. I have tried countless high end foundations over the last year attempting to find something that matches my fair skin and does not highlight dry flaky areas. I have never used a Chanel foundation as I have no access to this brand in the area that I live. I ended up seeing several reviews for Chanel Sublimage Le Teint Foundation and despite the inability to color match, and it's high price tag, I ordered it from Nordstrom website.I am completely blown away by this foundation! The # 12 rose beige is an exact match for my cool toned fair skin. For reference I use N1 (the lightest shade) in Mac Face And Body. I am 1C1 cool bone in Estee Lauder foundations. I don't care for the brush that is supplied with the foundation and wish they would remove brush and decrease the price. This foundation applies seamlessly, gives a satin finish that can be built to an almost medium coverage if desired. It never settles into a single pore or line and lasts 6-8 hours WITHOUT setting powder. I'm too dry to use a setting powder but imagine you'd get longer wear if able to use one. Interestingly, this foundation actually becomes about 1/2-1 shade lighter as it wears, which is highly odd given that most foundations oxidize darker or in my case orange. It remains a perfect match, but if you are able to get a sample it may be worth trying two shades to see how it wears on your own skin. I will buy this foundation as long as it is made, no matter what the price. My skin looks radiant healthy and even while allowing my own skin to show through. If you're dry and have been struggling to find a great foundation this one is the absolute best out there!

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere

Chanel Vitalumiere in Clair (20) is a perfect color match if you are fair to medium, with warm or yellow undertones. I got an Ebay sample, so I can't vouch for its cost, but Chanel is usually pretty pricey.
The foundation goes on very smoothly on moisturized skin (I don't usually use a primer) and provides sheer to medium coverage. I like that it has SPF35, so it saves me the step of adding sunscreen.
It is slightly dewy, not oily on me, including my oily T zone, and sits well on my normal to dry cheeks. It lasts pretty well, and has not broken me out after a few days of use. However, I am heeding the warnings of other MUA users, and will report back if it causes breakouts after more extended use.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Long Wear Shadow - Talpa

on 9/13/2017 12:07:00 PM

Talpa is from the new line of longwear shadows sold as singles. It is a true grey/brown taupe with an equal balance of each. I detect a smidge of green undertone. It is very shimmery in the pan but it translates very naturally on application. It has a buttery texture and goes on very smoothly, and it really is long lasting. II have blue eyes with a green undertone (mermaid) and this is highly flattering. My skintone is fair/neutral and this might not look well on darker skin tones. I don't think it would show up well. Why another taupe? I don't know how to say it but this one just looks more modern. Nice packaging and comes with a brush and a sponge applicator.

Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universelle Compacte

I purchased this quite a while back to use as a setting / touch up powder over my Perfection Lumiere (now discont.) foundation. I was looking through old photos and realize that between that foundation and this powder, my skin looked so pretty and flawless. I will definitely be repurchasing this powder as it's very convenient for travel and touch ups. It works really well, feels nice, and doesn't break me out (like my beloved, yet loathed Studio Fix!). Not a full coverage foundation, more of a setting powder, but does add a little something more than just a setting powder, if that makes sense? Yes, I would recommend.

I bought this instead of the LM powder that everyone raves about. This lasted a long time and did a great job. The powder is very fine and does the job. The container is a generous size and looks great on your vanity, of course!

Well, I have purchased this a couple of times and it's time to buy a concealer again and will be buying this one. I left and tried Charlotte Tilbury, which I really do like, Veil Cosmetics, which is nice, Estee Lauder, which has pretty heavy coverage, and Laura Mercier Sercret Camo, which I've loved in the past, but for under eye find it's too heavy, whereas Chanel seems a bit more versatile if I'm being lazy or traveling and would like one product for spots as well as undereye. I also really do like this packaging. I put it on the back of my hand then either use my fingertips or a brush.

For me one of the best Chanel fragrances. I remember my mom wearing No. 5 when I was a kid. I always wanted to be able to enjoy a Chanel fragrance but, none ever did anything for me. This one is really great. Pricey but, worth it.

Oh my god. I don't even know where to start with this.

Somehow, miraculously, I was born with perfect skin. No blemishes, no moles or strange marks, and it always looks healthy and glowy. I've used this for a week, morning and night, and my forehead is absolutely COVERED in bumps. Normally, on the rare occasion I do get a pimple, there's only one and it's virtually unnoticeable until it goes away a few days later. Now i have five big, red, angry pimples surrounded by smaller clogged pores. Not only that, but it no longer looks hydrated or healthy.

I have NEVER seen my skin like this, and the only thing I have changed about my skincare/lifestyle is using this product.

This is going right in the trash, which is seriously disappointing considering the price tag.

Fragrances -Chanel - Coco Noir

I love this captivating, seductive fragrance. In the beginning of wear its creaminess reminds me of Coco Mlle, but the drydown is a subtle call to the Wonder Woman of Perfumes, Coco. I LOVE Coco, but I don't wear her it often because it tends to wear me. Coco Noir, however, makes me enjoy my own presence wherever I am. Coco Noir has all my favorite Chanel moods and accords, but it personalizes to my skin more than Coco or even Coco Mlle. For example, I think Coco Mlle is one of the most beautiful perfumes ever created; but there's no mistaking it, no matter who wears it. Since one of my closest friends wear Coco Mlle every single day, and has worn it for years, I hardly get the chance to wear it anymore! Plus, it doesn't smell like "me" because it's so popular. I had the unfortunate experience of having a student in a class who wore far, far too much Coco Mlle and it was clear when students came in the room that no one wanted to sit next to her. Frankly, she gave me a headache, and I adore Coco Mlle! Strangely, I wear La Vie Est Belle quite often, along with millions of others, yet I get compliments on how beautiful I smell. Coco Noir's vanilla-patchouli, like La Vie Est Belle's, doesn't seem to blend into the "white noise" of fragrances as much as Coco Mlle, despite their shared overwhelming popularity. Coco Noir smells incredibly beautiful, but it's mysterious, and only those who know what it is can positively identify it on a wearer. I am head-over-heels for the bottle, too.
