Cleansers -Neutrogena -Facial Cleansing Bar

on 3/21/2018 1:04:00 PM

The soap was very helpful for me, my skin has cleared up since I've started using it but it took time (5-6 months), I think it's an overall good product, the packaging is not so good, but for me and my skin the product worked really well. Th eproduct is mainly used to remove dirt and all the dirty things your skin goes through the day therefore it may not clear your acne if that's what you want.

Liquid -Neutrogena -Shine Control Makeup

on 3/17/2018 9:01:00 AM

I just bought this because I found it on clearance at rite aid for $3.74. Regular price would’ve been around $15 with tax. I’m so happy I didn’t pay full price. This foundation is AWFUL! It’s very gritty and I thought it was old, hence why it’s on clearance. Until I read other reviews I found out that’s the way it’s made. It hurts my face while applying it. Especially under my eyes. It made it puffy even though I wasn’t rubbing and dabbing it in hard.
It also does not cover up all that well either. This is a complete fail. I don’t know why they would design it this way. I don’t usually wear this brand because it’s too expensive. I’ll go back to alamay and cover girl. I recommend saving your money and try something else. Especially if you have sensitive skin.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Visibly Firm Night Cream with Copper [DISCONTINUED]

on 3/16/2018 12:23:00 AM

Just opened my last jar of Neutrogena visibly firm night cream...I LOVE THIS PRODUCT...and it's been discontinued since 2011. Yes, I stocked up on that many jars way back when. They last me about 9 months each! Guess I'll need a new product in December. Please bring it back!

I did repurchase this cleanser 4-5 times already and I am pretty happy. It is gentle on the skin and never broke me out.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena -Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20

on 3/11/2018 5:30:00 PM

I bought the Ivory to Fair 10 shade, and when I pumped some on my hand it looked too dark. BUT, being an enhancer rather than a foundation, it wasn't too dark for my skin at all. very light weight and my skin looks great! Being 25 I'm beginning to look more for healthy skin products rather than what covers blemishes and such. It will be great for my Spring and Summer makeup! 😊

Treatments (Face) -Neutrogena -Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer

on 3/11/2018 8:19:00 AM

I ADORE this product. About 6 months ago I got Botox on my forehead between my eyee in the furrow, and while I looked AMAZING the Botox gave me a horrible headache for a month. So, I needed something else to try. This product has not made me look as good as the Botox did (nothing ever will, probably), but my skin is evened out, SO soft, my pores are small and I look better than I have in ages. I don't use it all over my skin every night since I'm so sensitive and fair, so every night it goes on my nose and my chin and my forehead, and then I do my cheeks with it every other night or so. I also use a moisturizer with it, and eye cream, of course. My skin was a little angry at peeled a little and some acne came to the surface and disappeared, but now I just look wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend this for women who around 50 and who need a refresher! Also this is a great alternative to exfoliation; when I exfoliate my skin freaks out and hurts. This is TRULY an example of "If you can't find it at CVS drugstore you probably didn't need it in the first place".

Liquid -Neutrogena -Shine Control Makeup

on 3/10/2018 11:05:00 AM

I used to love this foundation. But after they changed the formula, I hate it. The color still matches my skin perfectly, but that's the only good part about it now. It no longer controls oil. If anything, it enhances it. I can't go more than 3 hours without blotting or applying powder to my t-zone with this stuff. It also seems to wear off quickly. The texture is now very gritty, almost sandpaper-y. They should either change the formula back, or stop marketing it as shine control.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena -Sheer Zinc Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50

on 3/10/2018 11:00:00 AM

**EDIT: Ok, I tried it again and the warming it up in my hands thing didn't really work. And it's also been the thing breaking me out that I was blaming on another product (which I haven't used since the first new breakout). I'm not sure what it is about this stuff that's doing it, but the breakouts are weird and in places I only usually breakout if I also had an allergic reaction, but I didn't have the allergic reaction to this.**

I think I used this, or something like it, years ago and liked it, but whatever that was was either discontinued or reformulated. I can't use chemical sunscreens because they irritate my skin and make me break out (in hives sometimes, or just acne, and sometimes both ugh), and I've been hunting for a good physical sunscreen for my face since the old formula of this/something similar disappeared.

When I first started trying to use this, I hated it. It's a serious (literal) pain to apply. It's so thick and almost impossible to smooth out, and makeup does not go on over it without looking like crap. But a few days ago, I was desperate and pulled this out again. I might have found a way to make it work with less pain, finally.

I basically squeezed out a bit more than I needed and then rubbed it between my hands until it was very warm and felt thinned out. Then, instead of trying to rub it in, I started gently patting/pressing my hands all over my face and neck until everything was covered. No tugging, yay!

After that, I let it rest on my skin for a few minutes to dry or whatever, and carefully applied my primer with a damp makeup sponge (I learned this trick when dealing with flaky dry skin) to keep the sunscreen from pilling like it does if you try to rub something over it. I repeated the waiting and then sponge application for my foundation and concealer.

My makeup didn't look super amazing, but it was fine and worlds better than it used to look when I tried to use this by rubbing it on (or using a sponge, which I also tried).

Unless I find myself desperate again, I won't be buying more of this stuff because it's too much hassle and makes my makeup routine take way too long. But at least I think I figured out a way to get it to work while it's all I have, and I'm searching for something better.

Liquid -Neutrogena -Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20

on 3/9/2018 11:38:00 AM

Okay so I originally got this foundation in summer. My skin was very oily so I didn't know if this would be a good mix. It was and it had a beautiful dewy finish. I like to experiment with my makeup so I didn't repurchase this because I get cheap sometimes and I love my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and it's like half the price. This foundation is so beautiful though and it's better for your skin. I had recently purchased the Clinique 2 in 1 foundation and I don't want to use a $30 foundation every day so I wanted something that was really nice but not as pricey. Bingo. I repurchased this yesterday so it's time for me to share my opinion. This gives me a dewy finish. I don't love Matte finishes usually. So this is up my alley. I have combo skin and it still works for me. I also have discoloration and scarring so I usually like a high coverage foundation but this covers enough. Anything else I need coverage for I will just use some concealer. Its nice coverage though. This somehow looks JUST like my clinique foundation on my skin. The finish is stupid. I use a primer and powder but I do the same primer/powder routine with my other drug store foundations and none of them have this finish. SO BEAUTIFUL! I saw my skin in the mirror (again I have imo bad skin) and I was so happy. For $14.99 it is worth it. Sometimes it's 40% off in like Rite Aid. If you're lucky you'll get that deal but regardless.... worth it. I get compliments on my skin when I wear this so that is telling to me

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Ultra Light Cleansing Oil

on 3/9/2018 10:15:00 AM

Overall, I think this cleansing oil is pretty good but I don't think I would purchase it again. I'm not a fan of the scent, over time I feel like I got more accustomed to it though. It gets rid of my makeup well but I feel like I've tried better cleansing oils. It's more watery than I would of expected but I do like that about it. I think it helps spread out the product more so I don't have to use as much. It's worth trying but bare in mind that it has have a noticeable scent so if scent is not a strong factor for you I think its worth trying out.

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel

on 3/7/2018 12:06:00 AM

I really liked this stuff. My skin was super dry/dehydrated and flaky, like painfully dry and it was making me break out pretty bad. I tried their hydro boost gel moisturizer and I loved it so I decided to try their gel cleanser after reading some reviews. I have to say this is the best cleanser I've ever used! It is SO gentle and hydrating but doesn't leave any residue and rinses off easily. I love that I can use it multiple times a day without my skin getting dried out or irritated. It doesn't leave your skin feeling "squeaky clean" or "tight" at all. After following up with the gel cream (I'll also use the hydro boost serum a couple times a week) my skin looks and feels fresh, slightly dewy and glowing!

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin

on 3/6/2018 5:23:00 PM

Hmmmm. I have just started using this and recently I have been having a nightmare with skin care. Since coming off of hormonal birth control my skin has become so reactive and i'm super sensitive to hormonal break outs. I used to have dry skin that I could stick any cream on and now it is combination and very fussy.
I bought this cream because I have been using the oil free spf 35 cream in the mornings and I have never had a problem with that so I thought I would give this one a go for night times. Unfortunately it doesn't have any antioxidants or anti aging ingredients. It's just a basic moisturizer. However every expensive retinol, vitamin c, antioxidant cream I buy breaks my skin out a few hours later into cystic acne and I never know where they will pop up. Chin, cheek, I even had 2 on my neck after using one cream. I figured what is the point of younger looking skin if it's covered in hideous and painful red bumps.
I have been using this at night time for the past week after washing my face with the Neutrogena gentle cream face wash (again one of the few cleansers I can tolerate) and my skin is completely fine with it (and it has been *that* time of the month). My pores have shrunk, my skin is clear, it's nicely moisturizing without being too heavy so it makes my face look plump and dewy. My skin looks balanced and happy.
The only issue is it makes my eyes sting for a minute. I do not even use it under my eyes as I use a special eye cream (don't have to worry about cystic acne under eyes!). It's a shame as the fact it makes my eyes sting worries me that it is not very kind to skin after all! However the rest of my fussy face seems completely fine with it so I guess I will keep on with it for now until I figure out what to do.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Oil-Free Moisture SPF 35

on 3/6/2018 4:52:00 PM

I have been using this product on and off for a couple of years now. I bought it because normal face sunscreens feel really heavy on my skin and the oil free part is what grabbed my attention. I have really sensitive skin in that it is so reactive to hormonal breakouts. I have spent fortunes trying moisturizers and throwing them away after one use because they have broken me out a few hours later with cystic acne.
This one has never done that plus it soaks in easily and doesn't leave me with a heavy sticky white residue. I live in California and I spend a lot of time outside so broad spectrum sun protection is really important. The price of this drug store cream plus it's light simple formula means I can layer it on really thick every morning and lunch time and I have not once burnt. People comment on what excellent condition my skin is in and I know it is because I can pile this stuff on and not get those harmful rays on my face. It also works well under make up and I use it under an oil free BB cream that also has SPF.
I knocked 1 lippie off of packaging only because it's not the most glamorous bottle to have on my vanity. However it is practical and I like the pump as it keeps it fresh and hygienic.
Thumbs up on this! I think I am on like my 10th bottle or something like that.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 30

on 3/6/2018 12:46:00 PM

I had high hopes for this. I've used it three days in a row now, and I'm having new breakouts. I also used another new product, so I hope it was that instead. It felt fine on a first but at mid day my skin felt itchy and irritated. I will use it for my neck/chest from now on if it doesn't cause breakouts there since I'm clog/spot prone all over my body. My HG sunscreens is a chemical sunscreen, so that was not the problem. This is not fragrance free, which it should've been, and that's another con. It also makes my eyes tear up.

What I've been using on my neck/chest before was Neutrogena Breakout Free spf 30. That sunscreen is VERY irritating on my face, but its fine on my neck and chest, though I can feel the irritation even there. Break out free is matte, which I LOVE. The finish of breakout free is ideal for oily skin. This Hydroboost one is a bit less matte, but still close enough which is amazing AND I was able to put it on my face without burning, which I cant do with the Breakout free.

So Even though its super easy to spread, has no whitecast, and is not greasy, I think I can't use this on my face :( That said makeup went on top perfect, just like with breakout free. Hopefully I can use it as a less irritating alternative to Neutrogena Breakout Free on my neck and chest.

My HG chemical FACE sunscreen is Paulas Choice skin Balancing spf 30. It just upsets me its $30 frigging dollars for 2 oz. Anyway, as long as I can I will repurchase as its damn near perfect for my oily acne prone skin (except that it makes my eyes tear. I havent found a mineral sunscreen that performs well on me and doesn't break me out).

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra Dry Skin

on 3/6/2018 12:13:00 PM

Unfortunately this just doesn't moisturize my skin, at all. I almost find it drying with continued use. The only thing I liked was the finish which almost felt like a primer, but for hydration purposes I had to layer so many other products under/over, that it was worse than useless.
