I am a sucker for face oil blends and love the rest of the Clinique turnaround line, I feel they all have honestly helped to make my skin look fresh and radiant. I find this hydrates very well, works great under foundations, and soaks in without feeling heavy or looking greasy. A few drops go a long way! This is actually the most impressive product so far I have used from Clinique.

I’ve been liking this... I have tried Clinique on & off over the past 30+ years and was never happy with the whole system, nor felt it did anything for my skin. But I’ve been finding in more recent years my dry skin does best when layering products and Clinique is definitely not a “one and done” skin care line so it works for me. I can switch them up without having anything bad happen and keep at bay the bordeom of using the same few products all the time. And kudos to Clinique for keeping their skin care fragrance-free as it seems like everyone (except for Paula’s Choice) will try to sneak some in sooner or later and think no one’s looking. This latest version of their alcohol-free clarifying lotion is decent enough to incorporate a little Salicylic Acid into my regime as I feel SA helps to keep my skin clear and glowing and give some of the exfoliation I need to keep away the dry skin bumpies I get from piling on heavy moisturizers. I also swipe it on other areas of my body where I experience mild skin irritations. There are a few other beneficials included and witch hazel has never bothered my skin if it’s a water based extract. This product is by no means rocket science and although Clinique has finally gotten their foot through the 21st century door of skin beneficials. I, even as someone who likes how my skin does using their products, think they need to fire whoever was/still is smoking crack and thinks using a toner with alcohol is perfectly fine for someone with dry and slightly sensitive skin. Any time a Clinique consultant twit tries to push the Clairfying Lotion 1 on me I have to just walk away because I want to pour it out all over their silly skin consultation charts and light it on fire. I do use the 7 day scrub cream & turnaround serum to help with exfoliation as well, so it’s not a strong stand-alone product, but for me it is working just fine.

The display in the store (when this product first came out) was very convincing that this is a “do it all” product: opaque enough to conceal, yet blendable enough to be sheered out and look natural. I like using a full coverage foundation as a concealer so I was sold! The packaging also is similar to the popular shape tape with the applicator wand. As usual there was no Clinique consultant in the store to help me so I swatched several shades and made a color choice. When I got it home I took the time to read about it on Clinique’s web site and was disappointed to find the color would lighten as it set, so the shade I chose was a little too light. I tried it as an under eye concealer but couldn’t get enough coverage without it looking cakey. However, the color matched my neck perfect so I set it aside to try in the fall. Another day I tried doing more swatching in the store to match my skin tone at the time (summer with a tan) with no luck. The way they had the shades arranged makes it difficult to narrow down a color match and the whole “darker while wet” thing was frustrating. A few weeks ago I pulled out my fall/winter foundation stash and decided to give this another shot. The color works so I applied it using my fingers to blend, and spot applying where I needed more coverage. It does spread very well, but this is not - in any way - a full coverage product. I have to use a separate concealer under my eyes because this just doesn’t cut it. It wears nice, but does not play well with certain products... since it has no sunscreen, I tried applying a light layer over my Clinique moisture surge CC cream (which Clinique suggests using under foundations as well as on its own) and it pilled bad. If my skin isn’t properly hydrated it looks streaky and settles into my fine lines and pores. But a sheer application does wear well over a heavy moisturizer and over Clinique’s city block.Overall it’s a nice sheer to medium coverage foundation that can look natural, but I give it a lippie off for the lack of sunscreen and a second lippie off for its inability to conceal, the pigment just isn’t at the level they think it is. I plan to try to use it this winter but definitely won’t be repurchasing it.

These are horrible. When I worked in the Beauty Industry we used to use these to take nail polish off or marks that were left on the counters. They are super stripping, drying and leaves skin inflamed. Really dried out and irritated my skin.

I really like this product—it moisturizes without making me break out. As someone who uses Retin A, this stuff is a great complement. One tube also lasts a long time. My only complaint is the packaging—on the last two I’ve had, the cap has broken. It won’t screw shut, just keeps turning and turning. I try to turn to the point that feels tightest and then leave it there, and so far that doesn’t seem to have affected or dried out my product.

The best sunscreen I’ve ever found. However, I give only 4 stars because I can’t stand the smell of it. Omg, I use Clinique toner and surge intense moisturizer (pink one), so I know Clinique doesn’t have any products w smell but this one ooh!!!!!! The smell is so chemical.Ok that’s all for complaining. The rest is very good. No white cast, easy to apply, leaves a thin shiny film on my skin but no problem, as long as it protects my skin I’m fine. And it does run off if u sweat a lot so make sure u reapply to avoid sun burn. In fact, I went climbing amd didn’t reapply so my forehead and my nose burned, not too bad but still, sunburnt is not healthy. Last but not least, u will find another smaller tube saying “for face” but don’t buy it. Buy this one. Save money because the one for face (50gr) costs around 25usd but the “body” one (150gr) costs only 30usd. Trust me! The ingredients are the same. Juz a trick of marketing I think. I use this on my face and have no problem at all. Learnt this trick frm a blogger on youtube.

I am so mad with this one! It's suppose to be suitable for people prone to acne and calm it down with salicylic acid, or at least not cause more, and it has exact opposite effect. It breaks me out every time! I noticed that from first use but couldn't be completely sure this is the reason. So I used it couple of more times when my skin was calm and woke up with several cystic breakouts next day every single time! In addition to than, people with acne often have oilier skin, this has no mattifying or staying power, week coverage, looks patchy, extenuates texture and pores, shines trough really fast and slips of the face in few hours. Literally bad for me in every aspect. Disappointing because it was pretty expressive.

I bought this on a whim. I am not a Clinique fan but decided to try this as I wanted a sleep in mask in a cream form. This exceeded my expectations . When my skin is dry , it gets sensitive and stings when moisturised. This does not sting, irritate or clog . It just gets the work done . A basic moisturiser that does the job , but to me that hard to find as some rich moisturisers give me acne and irritate . I use a thick layer and sometimes over other products with no issues .

I really like this balm, it removes well the makeup (but I have to say that I don't wear heavy makeup) and the skin is not dry after applying it. Also, a small amount is enough to clean all the face. In my case, it did not cause any irritation, even in the eye area. However, the packages are only of 125 ml and the best before date is only 6 months. I can't even use half of a package in 6 months so I don't buy it frequently, unfortunately. I would buy it frequently if Clinique launched smaller packages of 50ml, for example.

I have very dry, (and currently) irritated skin. All my usual face products were making my skin sting so a friend recommended this. It has no scent (yay) and is extremely effective in removing all my makeup and sunscreen. I use it on dry skin and a little goes a long way. As with all balm cleansers it takes a bit of massaging to break down all the makeup and mascara, but it leaves my face feeling comfortable and totally clean. I wash it off with warm water and a washcloth. Way too pricey but otherwise a very nice product. I also tried the popular Elemis balm, and that was so scented it made my face sting like crazy and irritated my eyes.

There are reviews here for quads and 8-pans from Clinique with the name "Neutral Territory" but my review is for a lovely duo I picked up recently. This duo consists of a flattering ivory/beige shade (larger pan) and the most interesting and beautiful smokey grey/green/bronze shade. This darker shade is so unusual and it reminds me a lot of a gorgeous colour that was in an Hourglass duo from many years back called Dune. It is so easy to be overwhelmed with large palettes (I purchased 2 larger ones recently and - big surprise - I stare at the shadows in them sometimes, trying to figure out what to use) but smaller ones - 2 to 3 shades - can make getting ready so much easier. This little gem is just perfect for any time I'm in a rush and both of the colours are so creamy and nice to use. The darker shade may not be the most intensely pigmented shadow ever but it applies smoothly and evenly and given how dark and murky it is, the less intense pigmentation can be a plus if you want to avoid an over-the-top look.Edited to add: while I appreciate someone adding a photo, the duo pictured is NOT Neutral Territory. I think it might be "Like Mink" which is also neutral but warmer and very different from the colours in Neutral Territory. It's still a nice duo but not the one I reviewed (you can see all of them at Clinique's site, though even there, the colour reproduction isn't terribly accurate).

I love this powder, I'm 54 years old and I usually can't wear any loose powder that won't settle into my fine lines and wrinkles, Clinique however doesn't settle on my fine lines and makes my face look smooth, I use the color transparency 3, I am lighter skin Hispanic woman

First of all I'm in love with the packaging. Unique and classy silver round bullet with ridges around. I bought this l/s at the airport while browsing. I wanted a color like MAC Russian Red, but less drying. And this fits the bill. So happy with it. A neautral red, not too cool, not too warm. Just right. It's not the most moisturizing l/s I've ever used but much better than the MAC one. And it's got good staying power. Price is not too bad, and at the airport i paid even less.

I hated it. I tried it because I work outdoors, under the sun, the rain, and the wind. The colour finish was terrible, it looked like pot of glitter spilled in my face. The texture, moisturizing, yes, but not appropriate for a make up foundation: when I applied powder or blush over it, it became a dirty cream in my face. I cancelled using it for a night makeup, so I tried it for daytime, without powder or blush over, just concealer, eyeliner, lipstick and mascara. It did not work anyway, because it captured all the dirt that was flowing around in my face. It's a perfect moisturizer, but a terrible foundation. And the smell...it has olive oil..A LOT of olive oil. I used to smell like a salad. I like it only because of my work, as a protection for my skin...but it doesn't work as a regular foundation. In the end, I mixed it with Dior Forever (which is very, very dry) and then I got some kind of perfect foundation.

I am not very impressed with this product. It feels nice on the skin but it doesn't provide much hydration. I have combination skin and I need to apply two layers to have a satisfactory hydratation. I prefer the dramatically different gel to be honest.
