Shampoo -The Body Shop - Ginger Shampoo Normal/Dry hair and Loose Dandruff

foto

I have really greasy hair and an itchy, flaky scalp, and this is the only product that has consistently helped. Anti-dandruff shampoos only irritate my scalp further, and shampoos with coal tar/tea tree oil only help temporarily, if at all, and don't do anything to help the oiliness of my hair.

I've been using this for 3 weeks and my hair texture has improved (it's become fluffier and less limp/flat). My hair isn't 100% flake-free, but it looks and feels better than it has in the last couple of years. Sometimes the itching/flaking comes back but I've found that using conditioner or a different shampoo once in a while keeps it at bay.

The scent is fine. Ginger-y but in an artificially sweet way, and doesn't appear to linger on my hair.

Skincare - Body -The Body Shop - Shea Shower Cream

Lathers up nicely into a creamy foam, and feels really good on the skin. To me, it's much gentler that the Body Shop shower gels and also richer. The scent is lovely and light. The regular price is pretty expensive for a small bottle, but with a loofah, a little goes a long way.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Cleansing Cream

This product is amazing! For many years I have been looking for something that would help my oily/sensitive aka combination skin especially around the T-Zone area, this controls it for a long period of time! It has a lovely smell and my skin felt so smooth and soft afterwards I use it with the vitamin e toner and moisturiser I am very impressed! Other products react to my skin very badly as I am hypo-allergenic.
Not even shine creams could fix the oily problem like this skincare brand did!

It tightens your pores well and I use it before going to sleep or a few hours before applying make up. It works best if used after cleaning your black heads.

This product has a really good price for its quantity and quality, but I'm not totally satisfied with it. It calms down the itchiness of my pimples, but my skin feels really dry after using it and it doesn't really help on the long run...

Smells terrible and does nothing for my pimples and it's not worth the price.

The tea tree leaves me face really refresh and the scrub bits size are not too harsh. It doesn't leave my skin too dry after using either.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

This is my HG makeup remover - I love it and will rave about it to anyone. The tin is great for travelling and a little goes a long way, with one tin lasting months. This cleansing butter is smooth, easy to use and washes off with water. It doesn't dry out my skin and removes a full face of makeup with hardly any pulls or tugs. I do double cleanse after I use this, just to make sure every scrap of makeup is gone. I've tried The Body Shop's camomile cleansing oil, but prefer the butter as it's less messy. Highly recommend as I wouldn't use anything else to take off my makeup.

Another one that just didn't work for me. I didn't care for the smell and it just didn't hydrate enough for me.

Really wanted to like this because I bought it for roughly $50NZD but after I cleansed (with Lush's Angels on Bare Skin) and toned and applied it, it burned and really stinged my nose/mouth area which is, for me, where I am my most sensitive. In my cheeks and forehead area I could feel the heat of my skin and it stung slightly. Also, in comparison to my usual moisturiser (Cetaphil) it didn't hydrate as much in dryer parts of my face. It's also heavily fragranced with what I think is rose? Either way maybe if you're sensitive, have dry patches or just dry skin in general, sensitive to fragrance, and not willing to fork out the cash for this product: avoid it. That was about six months ago, and now with a new skincare routine (I cleanse with Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Gel Wash and tone with Klairs Supple Preparation Toner), I tried it again and while it didn't burn, I could feel my skin heating up slightly and it tingled. Still wasn't really that hydrating so back to Cetaphil I guess?

Deodorants -The Body Shop - Aloe vera anti perspirant deodorant [DISCONTINUED]

This is my absolute go to anti-perspirant. I need more than a deodorant and having tried all the mainstream supermarket antiperspirants (Dove, Sure etc) find this works brilliantly for me. I was therefore devastated when I went to stock up and found the packaging had changed and 'anti-perspirant' had been dropped from the label. Aluminium is still listed in the ingredients though and I emailed Bodyshop and they replied no change had in fact been made to the formula. Big relief to me as there is nothing else I can see for me in the market.

Love this cleansing butter. Smells nice, feels soft and removes all my make-up. Another plus is that you can rinse it off with water, which is impossible for a lot of other cleansing butters. And: no break-outs! I think I've used up 10 tins in total, and I will continue buying it.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop - Nutriganics Drops of Youth

This serum does all that it says, makes the skin smooth and supple. My face appears more dewy and even now. I think a lot of the bad reviews stem from too unrealistic expectations of this serum. It is nothing magical, doesnt do very visibly amazing changes to your face, but it works in its ways to improve certain areas. It absorbs quite well and doesnt affect makeup application. I love the scent. A little goes a long way. And i aso love the dropper application method. I apply it on the back of my hands (3 drops) and use my finger to spread on my face.

by the way, i am using the version of this that has no 'nutriganics' on it.

Primer/ Corrector -The Body Shop - All-In-One Instablur 5-Action Perfector

Only primer that does not make me break out. (I plan on looking into the ingredients compared to the ones that made me break out) I got it for 50% off, and it instantly hides my pores. The only problem that I can think of for this is that the texture is a little weird when it comes out of the tube (not liquidy) and can fall off of your finger easily so you just need to be careful when taking it out, however the minute you rub your fingers or apply it on your skin it turns into an amazing, smooth texture. It does an okay job at keeping your makeup on, but it for sure hides your pores, gives your skin an even look and isn't too hard and doesn't have a bad smell. It gives a smooth layer to apply your make up on. I love this primer and it's amazing even if you would like to wear it without makeup.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

One of the only facial washes that helped my skin! I used to use it all the time but found that my skin got used to it and it wouldn't really help my skin anymore. However, when I used two facial washes and switched between that one and this one (Not just because in my opinion it made it work better but also because it can dry out your skin so it helped keep balance) then it would work good. *side note: maybe my skin wasn't feeling the benefits as much as when I first got it because it would dry my skin out and strip the natural oils. I sweat a lot so I wash my face three times a day so it's good if you only need to wash your face twice or even once. If more than that I would recommend using a gentle facial wash (If you're worried about the price of buying two it's basically the same thing as using one facial wash then buying another one after and finishing it)

Pros: helps acne-prone and oily skin
good amount of product

Cons: dries out skin
expensive
skin gets used to it
