Lip Treatments -Neutrogena -Revitalizing lip balm

At first, this product worked well in the sense that it gave my lips a little color. This "lip balm" did nothing to moisturize my lips and overtime made them super dry! So dry, I had to go to the doctor and purchase a prescription to moisturize my peeling lips. Do. not. buy. this. product.

Gels/Soaps -Neutrogena -Body Clear Body wash

on 11/14/2017 8:41:00 PM

I have really bad acne on my arms, shoulders and a bit on my back. When i decided that i wanted to get something to help it since there was one on my chest which was very noticeable, my mom got me this a few weeks ago to start using. The first time i used it i thought i could see a difference with the pimple on my chest but then about 3 days later there were many more pimples showing up and redness. i noticed that it was getting worse on my arms and every spot that i have used the product. i had really high hopes for this to work but i don't think that i would ever use this product again and i do not suggest other people to use it. It may work for other people but it definitely did not work for me.

Foundations -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint

I have been on a drugstore product kick lately, and got this as part of a Target haul.

Background: I have very dry skin that is in reasonably good condition. My main concerns are redness on my cheeks from rosacea and some uneven skintone. No real texture issues, and my skin is not prone to breakouts.

This is an excellent light foundation / tinted moisturizer if you don't have too much to cover and want a no-makeup look. When I wear this, I just look like I have healthy, clean, well-moisturized skin, with a very subtle glow. The coverage is light, but enough to minimize the redness in my skin.

My skintone is NC20-NC25, and Nude is a decent match. The shade selections are pretty limited and lean more towards cool and neutral. But they are forgiving if you don't get an exact match.

The 2 real drawbacks, imo, are the price & packaging. Package: It comes in a bottle with a doe-foot applicator, like a giant concealer tube. Because of the thick texture, there is just no way to get all of the product out. A simple pump or even a squeeze tube would've worked better.

Price: I paid $14.99 + tax for 1 bottle. Pretty steep for a drugstore product you have no way of testing beforehand.

TLDR: Very good light-coverage foundation for a no-makeup look. Suited for dryer skins. Limited shade selection. Impractical doe-foot applicator and rather pricy for a drugstore foundation.

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena -Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes

on 11/13/2017 1:07:00 PM

These are not makeup removing wipes. These are facial cleansing towellets meant to be used on a bare face while AVOIDING the eye area. They have mild salicylic acid in them to help clear up the skin, or so Neutrogena claims. I use these as a gentle morning cleanse as I hate to use soap and water in the morning which I only do at night after a long day. They don't sting and get the mild sweat off my face that tends to build up while sleeping. I use to use baby wipes but these seem to keep me matte much longer throughout the day. Expensive for only 25 wipes but well worth it to me for what I use them for.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena -Sheer Zinc Face Dry Touch SPF 50

on 11/12/2017 8:04:00 PM

I purchased the new Neutrogena dry touch sheer zinc cream, as i am a big fan of the original dry touch face
sunscreen,( my Favorite chemical sunscreen actually.)

I must say how disappointing i am in this product.
I prefer to use a mineral sunsreen over a chemical, so i was excited to see this on the shelves in my local supermarket.
Unfortunately i wont be repurchasing this one.
For starters, its very hard to apply, kind of drags across the skin, and leaves a white cast that eventually dissappears.
The chemical smell is quite strong, and when i first smelt it, i was worried it would irritate me , but that also goes away.
I think my biggest concern with this product is the heavy feeling on my skin.
If i am going to wear sunscreen everyday, i want it to be pleasant on the skin, and not notice im wearing anything.
This one i am aware its on my face, and honestly i couldn't wait to wash it off. I cannot imagine this wearing well under makeup,
or how it will feel on the skin in really hot weather.
I will use it up on my body instead, and go back to the original, which is a fantastic product.

Treatments (Face) -Neutrogena -Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Serum

on 11/12/2017 1:29:00 PM

I bought this to tide me over until I could get a refill on my retinA script. After 2 weeks of use, I'm very pleased with the way my skin looks. I've simplified my skin care routine with age, I no longer feel I need 30 different products. I also no longer believe that pricey products are better. I wash with CeraVe cleanser, I only use a little eye cream now and then, and my foundation is an all in one treatement, sunscreen, and makeup. I'm 54, but my skin is in great shape, no deep lines at all. But I don't have that "glow" anymore....

Enter this serum. In the past couple of days, I don't even feel I need makeup! My skin looks smooth, even, and not dry at all. It's plumped up a little, it looks younger. The fine lines around my eyes are much less noticeable.

It's a simple product to use, has a nice light feel. I can still feel it on my face when I wash up in the AM. I've had no breakouts from it. It has no fragrance. You only need a tiny amount to cover face and neck. I've been putting it on my face every night after washing. I've used it once or twice in the AM's very moisturizing. It's got all those antioxidants and what have you, so I guess that's a good thing....though I don't necessarily believe everything the beauty industry tries to sell me on. It's results that convince me...and right now, my skin looks great!

So yeah, I'm going to keep using this, even after I get my RetinA script filled. I'll use the RetinA at night and maybe this in the morning a few days a week. Either that or I'll see if Neutrogena had a similar serum without the Retinol.

HIGHLY Recommend!

So my skin has gotten drier, and I've gotten older and found that heavy coverage just looks bad. Much better is a lighter coverage, then pinpoint concealing, which you often find you need less of than you would have thought.

I am NW 15-20 (fair, neutral leaning cool) and Natural Ivory (second shade, pinkish) works for me. Now, I usually add a drop of oil to my foundation (other than creams), but found that oil is 1. Unnecessary for this product; and 2. Causes this product to oxidize (darken). So, I skip it for this.

I dot onto a well-moisturized face with the large doefoot, blend with an oval brush. Leaves a very natural finish, satin on my dry skin, wears nicely, no powder needed. Excellent for older skin, or those who want a natural look.

Liquid -Neutrogena -Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20

on 11/11/2017 9:57:00 PM

*update: I had to change my review from 4 to 2 lippies. The more I use this foundation the less I like it. I have completely clear skin,
with just some teeny-tiny Flakes due to retinol product.
This stuff magnifying texture a million times more!!! It’s just cling horribly!!
If u don’t have a 12 years old skin,
chances are you wouldn’t able to pull this off.
Considering the no-pump buttel, pricy tag & the non forgiving formula- I wouldn’t recommend.

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Mousse Cleanser

on 11/8/2017 6:12:00 PM

I like it.
To elaborate- it does not dry out or irritate my skin, it easily removes all makeup and accumulated environmental grime, it is cheap, the packaging (whilst pretty low budget) works. I follow it with pure witch hazel as a toner then undo all that money saving by applying Dior serum and night cream. Ta da!

Cleansers -Neutrogena -All-In-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes

on 11/7/2017 2:10:00 PM

I can't believe I have not tried these before.
I wear a lot of very long wearing makeup and I didn't know how well these would work for me. When I get home from my day, I like to take off my makeup immediately... The first thing I do is remove my cement-like eye makeup with an oil based make up remover. Then I use one of these wipes to clean all the makeup off the rest of my face and go over my eyes one more time. These work great and leave my VERY sensitive skin soft and lightly moisturized.
Later on, before i go to bed, I wash my face again with a Paula's Choice or PTR cleanser and use my nighttime skin care. My skin is really looking clear and smooth with this routine. I don't find these to have any fragrance really at all and I find them really soothing. I bought my second pack today and also bought a pack of the hydrating version to try out. I like these well enough to put them in my HG, ride-or-die list of skin care. I do have really sensitive skin and these don't bother me at all. My only negative is they don't remove the previously mentioned cement-like eye makeup...So I do have to use an oil based makeup remover for that. But that is the only negative. Highly recommend.

Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena -Norwegian Formula Fast Absorbing Hand Cream

on 11/7/2017 4:46:00 AM

High performance hand cream as would be expected from the Neutrogena Norwegian range. I use the version that comes in a pump dispenser and keep it on my work desk. This hand cream is fluid, without any obvious scent (I'm in the UK - different formula?), absorbs quickly - that's why they call it Fast Absorbing! - and doesn't leave a greasy film, so you can get back to your paperwork or keyboard without worrying about smearing.
One pump is enough to soften, smooth and moisturise my dry hands and even drier cuticles.
I would definitely buy it again. The pump dispenser is very convenient for use at work, and it's often on special offer so no need to scrimp on this product!

Sunscreen -Neutrogena -Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid- Lotion Sunblock SPF 30

on 11/5/2017 1:26:00 AM

I've had great results with Neutrogena's sunscreens and this one is no exception. It goes on nicely and once it settles in, it's not shiny or greasy. I have the SPF 30+. It feels good, wears well, and doesn't leave a white cast. I haven't experienced any irritation, but then I don't have sensitive skin (although my skin gets oily). It does smell faintly of sunscreen but mostly goes away over time. One of my favourite sunscreens.

A bit pricey, but then I got mine on sale. Additionally, the cap does have a tendency to get a little messy especially since the product is pretty runny.

Skincare - Face -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum

on 11/4/2017 11:49:00 PM

I purchased this hydrating serum several weeks ago, in the hopes of achieving benefits from the hyaluronic acid content. The presentation of the package is beautiful, and serves the very French/German OCD aspect of my expectations. Who wouldn’t love a cerulean blue vial of a “magical” serum?

The serum is a wonderful and light moist texture, as I had expected. However, there is a fruity-ish botanical-ish fragrance which accompanies the promising product, and to my great chagrin is the cause of why I cannot use this on my sensitive face. Minutes after the first use, my face erupted in tiny, prickly 1.5mm fluid-filled cyst-like lesions, that itched and were weepy. Crahhh! Not a good look. After some rehab by using Blue Star Ointment, the eruptions disappeared into a flaky crusty set of scabs after a few days.

Not wanting to waste the pleasantly scented magical serum, I decided to use it only on my neck. So far, so good, as my neck appears refreshed and hydrated with fewer obvious lines. Although I have been needing a specialty neck cream (I love Jeunesse De Cou from Clarins) I don’t think I would repurchase this item.

My words of caution to fellow ladies of sensitive and/or fickle flesh, proceed carefully and only apply in a less visible area of your face or neck to see whether you can tolerate it.

As for me, I think I just need to stick with my concoction of pure 100% Hyaluronic Acid that I mix with a spray of rosewater and glycerin.

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Oil-Free Acne Wash

on 11/4/2017 10:11:00 PM

I bought this for the 2% salicylic acid content. Since it was on sale I decided to try this rather than re-purchasing the Neutrogena body clear body wash, which is my usual go-to salicylic soap. I paid $10 for 177 mL on sale and to my dismay discovered that the pump was broken.

I don’t know if it does anything to help with my breakouts. It doesn’t make my skin feel smooth or especially clean - mainly just dry. It's fragranced, which isn’t particularly pleasant or necessary. I’ll finish using this on my body but definitely won’t re-purchase.
