Highlighters -NARS -Illuminator in Copacabana

I have warm olive-toned skin, but I'm very pale. Gold tones have an odd way of disappearing on my skin, while most pinks just don't look right. Nars Hot Sand provides a beautiful natural glow, but sometimes I want a bolder effect. I would never have thought to try a cool silvery pastel pink on my skin tone, but I got a free sample of Copacabana and I'm smitten.
My favorite thing of all is to use this on dark circles. Not only do I have dark purple Mediterranean under eyes, but the hollows are quite round and make the darkness more noticeable. After applying color corrector and foundation, I dab just a tiny bit of Copacabana along the darkest outer part of my eye circles, then apply my concealer over that. It makes a huge difference in not looking like I'm suffering from consumption. This illuminator is also the absolute perfect shade for brightening up the eyelid and blurring out slightly visible capillaries.
The only down side is that this sets very quickly. Faster than the Hot Sand Illuminator for sure. I have dry skin, and I find that it tends to break up my foundation or make it ball up, whereas Hot Sand does not.

Pros:
Great coverage (medium)
Doesn't look cakey
Other products go over this lovely
Great colour match (I'm shade Siberia)
Long wearing

Cons:
Does slightly accentuate any dry areas
When I bought this it came without a pump, which is kinda annoying to me pouring it out (the bottle itself is pretty though)

I've been a fan of MAC Pro Longwear for thee years now but got a little bored and wanted to try something new. I was so excited about this concealer but unfortunately for me it doesn't come even close to the MAC one. Coverage was not as good as Pro longwear has as well as its lasting power. I am really dissapointed and sorry for the money I paid. Going back to my trusted MAC (athough hate its packaging;))

This is the BEST foundation I’ve tried. I’m a MuA & deal with lots of skin types/tones. Never a complain from anyone. Works great for dry, oily, comb .. pretty much all. Fiji is my shade 🙌🏻

I have a mini of this but it has been my most reached for colour lately. On me it's a true MLBB, neither darker or lighter than my lips. I have a neutral complexion and this colour (dusty rose, hint of mauve) seems to be neither too cool or to warm, it looks very understated and therefore more "serious".

It is not long wearing, like a gloss, but I don't mind reapplying frequently as my priority is non-drying. It is also a very comfortable formula. The colour is sufficiently similar to my lips that I am not concerned about it wearing off unevenly.

I would consider purchasing the full size but the price ($34 CAD) may hold me back. I've also got my eye on some of the other colours (La main Blue specifically).

My go to foundation! I have combination skin and this makes my skin glow in areas that are otherwise dull and lifeless. Couldn't live without this product.

I use this is St. Moritz. I cant afford the full size so I use the travel size and sparingly.
The color match is awesome. It is a little heavy and so best for the fall/winter seasons. I find it pretty moisturizing and enjoy the feel of it when going on. Does not change color and doesn't get greasy looking.
However, the price is just too high. If this shade were available in the sheer glow foundation shades I would buy THAT and add moisturizer to it. But Nars can't make money from one that way. The second thing is the awful packaging. All of Nars packaging sucks tho.
Would I buy this again? I have again and again. It looks like my skin, and although it doesn't cover my skin issues (melasma ad=nd vitiligo) it evens out what it can and that's good enough. It doesn't clog my pores and doesn't smell like anything weird. I like it

I like to apply it with a brush then take of the access with the beauty blender.
(I’m in Mac NC42 I wear Syracuse, combination skin with discoloration on my mouth area)

Pros:
Medium buildable coverage.
Not heavy nor cakey.
Daily use.
Doesn’t move around.
Colour range is good.
It gives my a natural glow.

Cons:
Expensive
Can’t close it once you install the pump.

I rate it 9.5/10

I find this concealer pretty cakey and drying. That said, it does offer good coverage.

The formula reminds me of MAC's select cover-up, but the packaging between the two products are super different. I actually prefer the little tube that MAC's select cover up concealer comes in as it's more sanitary than applying concealer with a wand.

In terms of a less expensive dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, I know that Maybelline's Fit Me concealer is often touted as being a good option, and I definitely like that concealer but in my opinion, the formulas aren't all that similar. I would say that Maybelline's formula is thinner, easier to blend, more natural looking, and doesn't emphasize my dry skin as much as the Nars RCC.

I won't be repurchasing again.

I prefer Tarte's Shape Tape to conceal my blemishes as it offers much better coverage without looking too cakey. And for my under eyes, I greatly prefer Maybelline's Fit Me concealer.

I have had this concealer for a few months now in the shade creme brûlée. This is good concealer if used correctly. I dab a little onto a concealer brush and then dab excess onto palm of hand and then (with a light hand) start applying on the edges of your eye bags or dark circles. If I need more product I will just grab from the palm of my hand or redo this method. This method makes it look more natural looking. However, sometimes it doesn't completely cover my dark circles so it may work if perfectly if i colour correct first.
This is also quite drying if you haven't moisturised your under-eye area first!
The packaging is nice and weighty but lid does collect dirt and makeup (I'm not really bothered by this but I know some people are)
Overall, it's an ok concealer.

It's my go to date night or black dress accompaniment. The shade instantly elevates your look. I tend to use it without a lip liner and just apply lip balm 20 minutes before applying the lipstick as I generally have dry lips. I recommend blotting the first application layer and re applying for budge free diva lips. It's my absolute favourite red lipstick, especially because of the size and formula. It does not become cakey or dry at any point though I suggest re applying if necessary as nome drinks ruin the perfect pout. I have almost finished the first pencil and am tempted to purchase more shades in the same formula as it's the only "matte" lipstick that I find 100% comfortable.

Loose Powders -NARS -Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder

This is a nice lightweight finely milled powder that I use mostly for setting my makeup in target areas. I find this jar less messy than MUFE (even w/ the mesh netting) and Macs loose powder that being said this jar is a lot smaller in comparison but still 'can' be messy.. I don't find I get the full cloud of 'puff' I get w/ other powders but I am careful not to dispense more than I need. Given its size, it defin not travel friendly as it's not made to joggle abt during travel- defin mess! As for reflecting particles in this powder, I don't see any but I do notice 'flashback' in flash photography YIKES!... go lighthanded if you know you're having photos taken. I like this powder best cuz it leaves a fab matte finish and is long wearing. I need very little product as it does cling to fine lines, so a good thorough dusting to targeted areas is needed for me. Therefore this powder will last me a long time as most loose powders do. Overall a very good product for its use, 1 lippie off for photo flashback- personal pet peeve!

Tinted Moisturizer -NARS -Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

I have mixed feelings about this product. I have it in the lightest shade, and the color is quite beautiful -- it has a somewhat peachy, but neutral undertone, which is difficult to find in pale shades -- and it really brightens up the complexion. Coverage is light to medium and is buildable to a point. Wear is comfortable, though it doesn't replace a moisturizer (for reference, my skin is sensitive, quite dehydrated, but also acne prone due to hormones). All in all, upon first application, it looks very nice, though not the most natural, skin like finish. The finish itself is radiant matte, rather than greasy or altogether flat. It does, however, settle into lines and highlight dry patches despite my aggressive use of hydrating serum, facial oil and moisturizer. It's not a bad product, and if your skin texture is quite good but you're looking for something that will even out redness or discoloration, you will absolutely love this. However, I don't think it plays well with troubled skin texture, and it does look like makeup, which is not what I'm trying to achieve with a tinted moisturizer. The packaging is fine: a squeeze tube, rubberized in that Nars style that attracts dirt, and the price is what you'd expect from the brand. All in all, while this is a decent product that I will use up, it's not particularly great for my needs, especially for the price point, and I will not repurchase. Back to Korean BB Creams I go.
