This did nothing for me. To be fair, I haven't had much luck with any primer, really, and this one was no different. The texture feels smooth like most silicone products but I found that my foundation wouldn't stick properly to the skin when using this. My skin doesn't tend to love silicone so I'm honestly not sure what I was expecting, haha. Like many others have pointed out the packaging is awful, the products clumped up and became not usable after only a few uses. If they changed it the product might work better. For the price though I don't consider it a huge loss, I bought it mostly to try out anyway.

I really like this serum. I purchased 4 oils/serums from The Ordinary and this is my favourite by far. I use this at night underneath my moisturizer and it noticeably hydrates my skin, improves absorption and I am less oily than usual when I wake up in the morning. It is tacky upon application but dries down very quick. You only need a few drops to cover your face, and it's under $10 for a great product in sturdy packaging. I use this about 4-5 nights of the week - I do notice that if I go a few weeks using it everyday it can clog my pores a bit, so I space it out more and it works better for me.

Ordered my 3rd bottle, have been using for about 1 year once a week. Just very good as most The Ordinary products have been so far.

I have combination skin and my HG moisturizer is Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel. I mix a drop of this oil with it every morning when I moisturize my face! It helps it spread more easily, helps my skin feel glowy, and doesn't break me out. Definitely a staple.

I was looking for a dupe of Drunk Elephant's Babyfacial so I gave this a try. Unfortunately, this was a no go for me. It didn't do much for my skin except make it slightly softer. I didn't feel any tingling either when I first put it on. When I use the Babyfacial, I feel tingling right away that goes away soon after and my face is super smooth and radiant afterwards. I'll stick with Drunk Elephant even with it's high price tag.

I was surprised how similar this foundation is to Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation. I have extremely dry skin, so both do initially feel quite drying as they settle. This foundation did feel fine though, getting a little dry toward the end of the day (happens with every foundation for me) I'd say it felt better than double wear. It's still not perfect for my skin type but none are so this was a pleasant surprise that it is only £5 and fared better than Estee Lauders which is way more expensive! I find the packaging really cute, I like the simplicity and although plastic can feel a little cheap, it makes it easier for traveling. And I love a pump! I apply all foundations with a damp real techniques sponge as it's best with my skin, the coverage with this is probably light-medium, but buildable. Overall, I'm impressed, especially for the price.

When I first found out about The Ordinary, I went a bit spend happy and tried out a bunch of their products. Over time, most of them haven't really panned out to be great. The vitamin C serum and this peeling solution are probably the best value. This stuff is like a much more expensive peel - its 'gentle' enough to be used 1 - 2/week, has obvious but not dramatic results, and is a good formulation.Use: I use a clean foundation brush to apply a thin layer of this onto my clean face. Leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. I make sure I put some barrier like vaseline onto my lips because the first time a teensy bit of this got around onto my bottom lip and they peeled and flaked for DAYS - and not in a helpful or good way. Its a bit sticky and a bit of an odd smell but not overly unpleasant. My skin is pretty resistant and I use a lot of topical acids (ex. glycolic acid toner) but this still stings and burns a bit. Results: Immediately, my skin looks plump and smooth. This creates an obvious glow - people ask me if I got a better sleep. The peeling happens in a few days and its not really "peeling".. its more like sloughing of dead skin, after a shower or with a little exfoliation. My hyperpigmentation spots peel off. I would repurchase this and recommend to a friend. Its cheap, very effective, and easy to use. I've already used my first bottle!

This product gave me a terrible allergy. It does plump your lips but a had a bad reaction, my upper lip and cheeks became very red even my eyes became watery, I tried twice and was the same. Be careful, it's very strong.

I've been having postnatal breakouts and this helps clear up any blemishes very quickly. After spot treating I mix a few drops in with their sqalane or my regular cerave moisturizer to keep my skin from getting dried out and irritated. This has a thin consistency that's slightly tacky until it absorbs but it absorbs or dries down fast. This also works well for my daughter. I have had some irritation with sun exposure but it clearly states that on the bottle. Great product for me at a great price.

best product ever. it leaves the skin so so soft after use and makes my skin feel clean, fresh, and smooth the entire day. it has a bit of a weird smell but not something that bothers me. the colors great because you can see spots you might’ve missed.it’s a shame you can only use it twice a week because i’d use it every day just to make my skin feel as good. also didn’t notice the aha made my skin sensitive to sunburns which i was very scared of.

I have light skin (approx NW20) prone to redness especially on chin and cheeks. This just really dried out my oily/combo skin - made it flaky and rough after first use. It also smells strongly of plastic and sure didn't seem that the tube was full?? As with the other The Ordinary products I tried it wasn't worth to return so I tossed. I tried! I was excited about a lower cost line but so far only 1 of 4 products have worked for me :(

Well, I tried but ended up tossing. I'm not at all convinced that this particular retinol formulation is enough to produce any results on skin that is used to regular retinols (not Rx, just over the counter ). It felt nice enough but a little too moisturizing for my oily/combo skin. I think for a first time retinol user it would be a good way to ease in to retinols if your skin is sensitive or dry-ish.

I really wanted to like this, I admire The Ordinary brand and their efforts to simplify skincare choices at a great price point. BUT, this has done nothing for my skin except dry it out, even with moisturiser and oil on top, and using only every other night - I always had flaky skin around my nose which would only come off with manual exfoliation. I used to use Paula's Choice 1% retinol, with minimal irritation so I don't think it was a acclimation issue. The lines on my face have gotten worse (granted, this has been a very stressful year for me), so after persevering through a bottle and a half of this, I'm switching to a more emollient retinol product.

I've used two bottle of this product. It doesn't make a visible difference on my 47 year old skin, but then I do take good care of it. Its quite nice to use except for the poor packaging (typical of Niod) and extremely runny texture. I might use it again from time to time but its not a game changer for me. I've switched to Drunk Elephant.

I'm 47 with combination skin and a few blackheads and open pores. Over the years I've tried lots of products to address this - everything from Glamglow Supermud through to pore strips. This is the first product that actually makes a lasting difference - I only need to use it once a week the results last that long. Its also very gentle and doesn't dry out my skin. Definitely worth a try.
