This is basically like using a primer as a moisturizer, except it doesn't actually behave like a primer. It doesn't control oil or shine, or blur pores, it just made my skin feel and look dry. I have combination skin that's oilier in hot weather and thought that it would be a great summer moisturizer. I've had a lot of luck with other Clinique products (Take the day off cleansing oil and City Block sunscreen are ride or die for me). I just don't think this is a good product. Clinique products are also always reasonably priced for their quality, but you need so much of this to cover your face, so that was also a con. I gave it a point for being fragrance-free, but would not recommend for any skin type.

I have sensitive skin. It gets red and irritated easily as well as flaky and swollen due to dryness. My face will freak if you put something harsh enough on there. I LOVE this stuff. I got a travel size of it for $9.50 and it's definitely worth every penny. It's gently yet aggressive. I was wearing the waterproof better than sex mascara and after letting it sit and soak for about a minuet it just melted away. No harsh rubbing, no irritating fragrance, no breakouts. I'm definitely buying the full size when I run out. I do recommend using a spatula to scoop out product though for sanitary reasons. If you get a spot of makeup in there it'll break down and spread and ruin your product.

This is not a soap but a creamy cleanser. I’ve decided to give Clinique another try after having last used it years ago as Clinique has *finally* changed a few things - just a few. I don’t remember if they had a liquid version of the soap last time I used it. I don’t feel this is anything special, there are creamy cleansers available at the drugstore that work just as well, if not better because they are formulated to remove makeup, where this soap is meant to be used on a makeup-free face. But since I’ve never tried it I decided to go ahead and get some. It freshens and leaves my skin clean without drying it out. But I don’t think it’s anything special, other than it’s indeed mild and all of the things Clinique is known for (fragrance free and non-irritating).

I received a sample of this and tried it several times as is without a brush. It foams like crazy! First use was after removing makeup with TTDO balm as on rare occasion my dry skin can feel a little greasy (after eating really greasy foods for several days) and I wanted something a notch up from the extra-mild liquid face soap. I dispensed about the size of a dime and just in my hands it foamed up so much that when I applied it to my face I got some up in my hair and it ran down my neck as well because it continues to foam up more when working it. It rinses off well and is slightly hydrating so it didn’t dry my skin out.Second use I washed in the morning and used less, but it still foams up like crazy, so I can see my sample tube lasting quite a while as I will be using just a dab from now on when I use this to wash with. I will not be trying this to see how this does removing makeup... Clinique has always preached a pre cleanse when wearing makeup so I personally would never expect this soap to take everything off. So for a basic facial washing soap, yep, it’s a soap. No miracles here, just a soap that foams up like crazy so if you are a lover of super foamy soaps you may want to get the 1oz travel size and see if this fits the bill. I will not be buying a full-size tube nor the sonic brush system because I feel brush systems would be too aggressive for my dry skin and do more harm than good.

This is pricey, but I keep going back to it because every other product either breaks me out, leaves a white cast, or emphasizes fine lines because of a shiny film. This does neither. It just protects.Very easy to apply, works great under makeup but I found its also kind of mattifying so if I’m not going to work I frequently use this on its own with no makeup. I can see myself using this on my holidays playing in the pool with my kid wearing maybe just a bit of waterproof mascara :) The only drawback is the price tag, but since I’ve started noticing fine lines on my forehead whenever I’ve gone in the sun with a cheaper product, I will probably splurge on this whenever I can.

Removes makeup well, without tugging. However, compared to Biore's Makeup Remover Perfect Oil (a product I discovered on my Asia trip last summer), this: - doesn't remove makeup as well, especially eye makeup; - leaves my skin too dry; - is more expensive. Also, I found Biore's cleanser more convenient: the pump allows for faster dispensing of the product, while with Clinique there is the lid, which also tends to collect dust and water stains (yes, I have the tiniest bathroom cupboard which does not have enough space for Clinique's container). This was not a bad product, per se - but why pay more when Biore's Perfect Oil cleans better, you need less product, is cheaper and leaves my skin soooo soft, supple and glowing after use, while Clinique's version leaves my skin dry and lifeless? Hence only 3 stars for TTDO; 5 for Biore's "perfect oil"!

Hi! Im Asian and have very sensitive combination skin with eczema, and I’m on my 5th bottle of this toner. I don’t know why but my skin is ok with this absolutely-smelling-like-alcohol toner while the Lamcome pinky one broke me out like crazy. I use this twice a day after my Cetaphil cleanser and it works very well...

For years this has been the only moisturizer I could use on my tender skin. Recently I tried Nutigena Hydro Boost and I’m happy with the results.

Came back to this for summer for the build-able/re-applicable SPF reasons. So happy I decided to review it finallyI've used this on and off for three years actually. Recently I was using MAC skinfinish with so so contentment, but the ingredients always have me a bit sketchy (for slow, sneaky, but ever so present clogging of the skin....!)Provided I am well moisturized (Vichy Mineral 89, followed by Reversa booster serum, both light but hydrating), this goes on perfectly. It takes me about 4 minutes to do this, add blush and mascara and look great for four hours before a touch up.I use a multi-purpose brush from Techniques and actually buff this in like it was a mineral powder. Then I spritz liberally with a simple soothing witch hazel (Thayer's cucumber non-alcohol witch hazel that I put in a small spray bottle) and it sets to a lovely matte but not cakey finish. I can reapply often, re-spritz, and wear this easily from 8 am to 8 pm, through yoga, walking in hot weather, etc. Because you CAN and SHOULD reapply it, you keep getting that nice, non-toxic SPF which is more effective than putting on spf at say 8 am in lotion form (and thinking it's still doing something at 3 pm. It is not, go google that if you are surprised.) The test? I'm in the sun every day all year round. I love it, I'm bad, I know. And this year I wanted my dark blonde hair to lighten so I have avoided my hats. Still not sporting much of a face tan, and the colour, the lightest olive-friendly one, is absolutely fine, and we are into July here....NOTE re the finish: I had all but abandoned this last year when I first used it, and again this spring because I didn't do these 3 things:1) You must really find the right light but hydrating base under this2) do not just use the sponge; that is convenient for touch ups, but do use a good brush and try buffing it in.3) do finish with a light setting spray; even a spritz of thermal water (Avene, Uriage, La Roche Posay, Vichy, whatever). Finally: it is buildable for redness, but use a concealer over top not under for any real issues. My Fit Me cheapo works well.Hope this helps because the price of this is great, the ingredients are very good all considered, and the packaging is super idiot-proof. I really think this product can cut many steps out of a busy gal's routine, and leave her polished but not overly made-up.

Somehow I used up a bottle of this in shade 2 VF-N. I have a feeling it oxidized quickly so I did not rebuy.

Well first off, I would encourage my fellow women to quit referring to any perfume as smelling "old lady." With a little luck we will all be old ladies someday and we will not necessarily smell of lilacs and attics. To me this fragrance is anything but old lady, it is sexy and refreshing and Men adore it....It's a steady in my rotation, you do have to go light-handed as you would with Angel but it's truly an amazing creation!

They have re-formulated this I believe and it's wonderful! Much more emollient and just fabulous. I have been having troubles that past few years with hormonal breakouts and clogged pores basically all over. Nothing helped. NOTHING. So Ithought..okay go to Clinique and try their system again. I did and in six days, my face has transformed. I use #2 (mild liquid soap and toner #2) and with this moisturizer, I'm AMAZED. I havent tried Clinique for years and years. Their ALmost Powder Foundation is THE BEST THING I HAVE ever purchased for foundation. Not cakey, lasts all day, beautiful finish, SUPER GREAT COVERAGE...and NO BISMUTH (Others in Clinique line so, so be watchful as this will cause breakouts) But the ALmost Powder Foundation doesnt have it and its great for my older skin. Back to this moisturizer...I love it...it sinks in but I still feel moisturized later on....some moisturizers feel great at first but not later on....this one really makes you feel hydrated. GOOD JOB UPDATING THIS MOISTURIZER CLINIQUE! (Before i was just a yellow version of Olays Beauty Fluid) but now it is the best daily moisturizer I have ever used. I'm a Clinique user for life now.

I have had hormonal break outs for the past few years and clogged pores all over my face. I got the Clinique system out of desperation..got the #2 in cleanser and toner and in six days, my face has transformed. This toner is so refreshing and almost moisturizing but this along with the mild cleansing liquid has cleared up ALL of my clogged pores almost totally! My situation was BAD.....my makeup is going on so much better without all my huge pores and I'm amazed. I"M SOLD. I used this years ago when my face wasn't in trouble but it has saved me. The new Dramatically different moisturizer is FABULOUS. I guess they reformulated it but its WONDERUL. If you dont like this, maybe you don't have the right system, it #1, #2, or #3. But for me, this has done wonders in six days

I got the 3 part system of Clinique in #2 six days ago. I've had hormonal breakouts and clogged pores for the past few years and have tried everything.....In six days, my skin is transformed. I had clogged pores all over my face....and they are gone! I love this cleanser as I have very combo skin and anything that foams is going to make me feel tight...this cleanses my skin wonderfully and along with the #2 toner, my skin is transformed. I also love and am new to Almost Powder foundation from Clinique...no BISMUTH so you won't break out...it has the best coverage, stays all put and is a MIRACLE PRODUCT

I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY HG!! THis stuff is MAGIC I tell ya. I have tried every single powder out there...i kid you not....and for some reason this one I hadnt tried!! SO GLAD I DID! AND NO BISMUTH!!! Be careful because some of Clinique's powders have this ingredient and it will break you out. (THis is why I don't use MAC). I am in between NC 15 and NC 20 right now. I got 4 Neutral in this powder and it works great. I use a brush to put it on. It covers better than any liquid and like all you reviewers said...it stays put...even when I was outside in 93 degrees humid weather...I sweated....yes...but it didnt melt off....I do use MAC Face and body under this....basically because it is great and I think it gives this something to stick to...I do wait to let the Face and Body to set before putting this on. Face and body is basically a tinted moisturizer so I'm not using this over a foundation. You wouldnt need to use foundation with this too. Like I said, It goes on NON CAKEY....NOT POWDERY....Doesn't settle in lines and looks great a the end of the day! I'm in shock at how great this is. ITs like no other power I have ever tried. This may be my very last foundation review as I dont see me ever using anything else. It's THAT good. I've been on a binge lately trying new things and this STANDS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB...I typically stay away from Clinique because their liquid foundations are definitely way too pink, but this was a nice neutral tone. NO BISMUTH. I also started their cleansing system #2 which has really helped myskin. ANd they updated their yellow moisturizer which is FABULOUS! I'm 54 and makeup can make me look older, but this powder makes me look healthy....it's not a flat matte powder but somehow it has such staying power! It's amazing. I cannot say how good this is. I have tried high end, low end, drug store...you name it...powders....and this powder is different from all of them...I figured when I saw the good reviews a while back that it was just like any other powder foundation....it's NOT! It's in a class all it's own. And it stayed put longer than the Long Lasting Foundations that I have tried and I've tried a ton..THIS IS MAGIC IN A COMPACT. I NEVER thought I would get coverage, natural look, long lasting, in a POWDER! I'm officially done trying to new foundations and powder. I will use this forever.
