Moisturizers -The Body Shop -Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

When I bought this product I expected to have great hydrated skin for the whole day; I was expecting a deep boost of hydration. At first I liked the product, I loved the smell, the different texture and how it felt when I applied it on my face. It was the only moisturizer I used for about 3 days, until I realized that I had really dry flaky skin around my nose and my forehead. After that, I started applying it as a day cream and used a different moisturizer at night to ensure deep hydration - therefore, if you use this sorbet with another hydrating cream it is ok, however, to use alone I don't think it does the job.

I will use up the product because I have found a way to make it work, however, I don't think I would buy it again. If you have dry skin I would recommend it, my skin is mixed and after the first days it felt really dry.

PROS: smell, texture, feeling of freshness when applied, packaging.
CONS: isn't quite as hydrating as it claims to be, when applying make up after this cream I feel like my skin isnt smooth enough.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -DROPS OF YOUTH Youth Liquid Peel

I must say that I am a big fan of TBS products and when I saw that this one came out I was really excited to try it and had high expectations on the product. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT, I use it 2-3 times a week and since I started using it my skin feels clean and fresh; it works really well for clogged pores and to get rid of dry skin.

I really like the feeling when you apply the peel on your face; how little clumps form as you rub it in. I have been using it for about 1 month now and I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin.

After washing my face with the liquid peel I put on a good deep moisturizer and my face feels great. I really recommend this product.

Conditioner -The Body Shop -Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter

it's...okay, i think. i've only used this a couple of times so i'm not too sure, but i'm not too keen on how my hair feels oddly straw-like afterwards. (i saw a couple of reviewers complain about the same thing, which is a bit concerning) it's weird, because it's somehow both conditioning and sort of...drying....which...defeats the purpose. lmao.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop -Strawberry Bath and Shower Gel

The strawberry scent in this is lovely, and it comes from cold pressed strawberry seeds from jam factories that would otherwise go to waste. It's a win win! Also it's soap free and doesn't dry my skin out. My new favourite ๐Ÿ˜Š

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -DROPS OF YOUTH Youth Cream

I love this when I want quick easy to sink in hydration, it has plant stem cells in which renew the skins texture, minimises pores, over time diminishes fine lines. Mature skin would most likely want a heavier day cream, but those with age concerns and suffer from problematic skin this is perfect ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Masks -The Body Shop -British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask

This spa quality mask is vegan, and it's packed with mini partials called hyaluronic acid, which hold a thousand times their own weight of water, they go deep into the skin and "plump" wrinkles away! This stuff works, and makes your moisturiser perform better too! I use mine 3 times a week and leave on for half an hour, then rinse. And my skin feels sooooo smooth it's addictive ๐Ÿ˜‹

Blush -The Body Shop -All-In-One Blusher

on 3/26/2017 1:43:00 AM

foto

I purchased this blush in the color 04 Marshmallow which I consider a pale, cool, pink. This is a beautiful, silky blush without glittery shimmer. It looks very natural on my skin with the perfect pop of color. This blush can stand up to several high-end brands I've used over the years. (Lancome, Clinique, Dior, Bobbie Brown). It's easy to apply, is buildable with moderate pigmentation. I use a blush brush to stipple it on my upper check bones then blend to soften edges. Flawless, mistake proof coverage that lasts approx 6-7 hours. For reference, my makeup routine consists of a facial moisturizer, Elta MD suncscreen followed by a powder foundation and then the blush. Excellent price if you can purchase during their sales.

UPDATE 9-21-17: The All-In-One Blush line is discontinued in TBS stores but is available as of this date, online through their website while supplies last. I am disappointed because this was a quality blush and 04 is a perfect color for my fair, mature skin. This blush is also one of the cleaner lines without harsh chemicals. No doubt, TBS is downsizing their physical stores and cosmetics with emphasis on body care.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Oil

on 3/25/2017 10:06:00 PM

foto

Do not buy!!!

Not only is this product super overpriced, but it is watered down and ineffective! You could buy a drug store bottle of tea tree oil, get more ml/$$, and get a higher concentration for the same price of this tiny bottle. I think body shop's version only has 15%.

Yes, stronger concentrations could damage skin but you could water it down yourself and you'd be getting even more product for your money.

This product doesn't work. But I don't have much other to say than that the company is seriously ripping you off. Don't buy it.

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

on 3/25/2017 9:57:00 PM

foto

The first time I used this product was during the summer and it made me break out in places I've never had pimples before. So I waited awhile to use it again. This time my skin had no reaction so I kept using it till the bottle was pretty much empty (maybe it reacted badly to a different product I was using at the time?)

Anyway, this product is pretty disappointing. My skin isn't any better, it smells bad, leaves your face feeling tight and dry. And on top of that it's overpriced. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because of has a nice tingly feeling lmao.

Don't even bother buying the other tea tree products from the body shop, because I tried them and nothing works. Not even together.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Shea Body Butter

on 3/25/2017 8:35:00 PM

I have purchased this body butter many times. It's a HG item. First of all I am in love with the Body Shop Shea butter smell. It smells so clean and not overpowering at all. The cream is rich and comes in an abundant sized tub. I use it after my shower and it just melts right in without leaving you feeling greasy or sticky. Did I mention the smell is divine?? Yes, yes I did! It's not as moisturizing as my 100% Pure Shea Butter by L'Occitane but that Shea butter is very greasy and I usually only use it at night. The Body Shop Body butter is a good daily product because it isn't as messy. I Love it and recommend it!

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -OILS OF LIFE INTENSELY REVITALISING FACIAL OIL

on 3/23/2017 2:56:00 PM

foto

I bought this on Amazon as a gift set with the matching facial lotion. I have very fair, sensitive skin. My chin is very red and dry. Sometimes my skin breaks out in little hives, which eventually turn into raised red marks lasting a few days :( I drag the dropper across my cheeks (equivalent to about 3 drops/cheek) and rub/pat in the oil. I have not had a single spot since I began using this a few months ago. The smell is bearable and not an issue at all. The oil absorbs quickly and my skin feels AMAZING even in the morning. I will definitely repurchase this.

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

foto

I have bought this over and over again. I prefer it to the oil, even for getting waterproof mascara off.

It smells pleasant, but even though I have irritable rosacea skin it doesn't irritate. It feels comfortable on my skin - however I always double cleanse.

I love it for travel and only find it can be tricky to open if my hands are greasy or wet!

I bought this to replace my Clinique Take The Day Off balm and I don't think I'll go back. I get this for ยฃ7 and it lasts me around 2 months. What's not to love? I love it and will buy again.

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

foto

My HG cleanser - doesn't break me out, doesn't dry my skin out, and it removes makeup like a charm! I use it especially on days where I feel my skin is irritated or I have on-coming breakouts - my skin instantly calms down and my acne spots appear less red.

I use it on dry skin, either using my fingers or my cleansing brush and wash away with lukewarm water.

Repurchase? ABSOLUTELY!

My only gripe is the packaging: it's rubbish! It oozes product even when not used, so i constantly have to wipe down the bottle and either place something underneath it or wipe down whatever surface I place the bottle on.

Pros:
- Gentle on skin
- Melts away makeup like nothing I've ever tried

Cons:
- Bad packaging

Cleansers -The Body Shop -Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

foto

Close to being my favorite! I still prefer the liquid Body Shop Camomile oil cleanser, as it removes mascara better than this. BUT: this is very travel friendly, doesn't break me out, and doesn't leave my skin uncomfortably dry. When my skin needs a little exfoliation, I mix this cleanser with a little fine salt and rub my face with it - works like a charm!
Would definitely repurchase :)

Pros:
- Good for travelling/transportation
- Gentle on the skin

Cons:
- Jar can be hard to open at times
- Doesn't remove waterproof mascara as well as the liquid version
