I have been excited to try this since I saw it advertised a few months back. I watched every video I could find about it. I even got a Sonia G fan brush number 2 to try it with. I finally purchased this highlighter in Capri. It doesn’t swatch the best but you can still see the color, very golden with a hint of pink. It feels quite firm in the pan but all my brushes I’ve tried with it pick up product easily and I’ve had no hard pan. It’s a huge pan of highlighter and a solid compact, more square than NARS usual but still rubberized (which I personally dislike because it’s so hard to clean). So here’s the dealbreaker for me. I cannot get this to look good on my skin. I’ve tried every brush I can think of and it doesn’t help. On my foundation or straight on skin it looks patchy and emphasizes texture very badly, texture I didn’t think I had! I do have acne but not on my cheekbones. It looks chunky and almost splotchy. So I tried powdering under and it doesn’t adhere to the skin at all. I noticed the reviewer before me mentioned this problem if her skin was tacky at all before applying. I believe this to be my problem. I do let my face lotion set as long as I can before putting on foundation but I typically don’t wait long between foundation applying highlighter. And I don’t have that kind of time to fuss with a highlighter. Especially after I discovered an exact dupe in my collection which goes on smooth and glowy and gorgeous with ease. I have the new Makeup Forever highlight that mix and match in the palettes in H102 is almost a dead on dupe for Capri. It swatches better so in the swatch it’s more opaque and pink. On the face Capri looks quite gold and H102 is slightly less golden but I think it’s because it blends out smoothly and Capri bunches up so much. This highlighter breaks my heart. I was so excited for it. But it just does not work for my skin. Edit 5/1/18 so I tried this a few more times. I did get it to work on top of a matte foundation that wasn’t powdered (maybelline superstay) and it looked really lovely. I still think it’s finicky and that the MUFE 102 is a better choice but I did get it to apply like it should finally. I’m not changing my rating due to how persnickety this is but I wanted to advise on application technique if you are set in getting it. Oh, and I ended up using the Sigma F03. It’s my new favorite highlight brush and it worked well with this one. I actually did not like the Sonia G sculpt two with highlighters-it was too big for my face.

Just like the previous reviewer I have a light skin with a warm, yellowish undertone so I'm always on a lookout of warm pink, even coral blushes. My all time favourite is Benefit's Cha Cha Tint liquid which is a pure coral but in case I'm in a hurry (Cha Cha Tint requires a very careful application) and when I need something fool-proof a powder blush comes very handy.'Bumpy Ride' sadly is a LE product so if you want to get your hands on it, hurry up. I needed quite a search on line to nab it after Nadine Baggott mentioned it in her Youtube film as it was sold out everywhere. My local Space NK in Edinburgh did not even get the items from this collection in store. Luckily it was featured in one of the Nars' Wanted Palettes that they had so after a quick swatch I was sure it would suit me.I was hoping it will come in the new, square packaging like my 'Seaside' bronzer but no, it is still the old one with rounded edges and infamous black rubber cover. It also contains not a lot of product (4.8g) but the product itself is so packed with pigment it should last a very decent time. It is my first blush from this brand so I don't know how long that would be, I hope that that should be my usual +2 years.I turned 40 this year so any blushes with glitter or much sheen are a no no but I don't really want anything too matte either, this one is leaving a lovely glow on the skin. Nars' website describes it as 'Shimmering Candy Pink' but I do not see any shimmer, just a very delicate sheen. No kicking up any unnecessary powder either (hello By Terry!) and the glow is so pretty I don't really need any highlighter added on top either which is a winner in my book (as you're getting older you don't need much visible makeup on). The glow seems to be cool toned but suits me well.I apply it with my MAC 168 brush and it need a very delicate tap on the surface only. Spreads on the cheeks quickly and effortlessly.A new staple in my beauty bag.

Sheer? Glow? B***h where? This foundation is a medium to full coverage matte foundation and don't let nobody tell you otherwise! The bottle doesnt come with a pump and therefore you waste a crap ton of product. As for how it looks on the face. Meh, it looks fine. Honestly the foundation is so meh that i have nothing really to say. If it was £10 i might say go for it but for £35 (and no pump) id say dont bother. There are hundreds of other foundations at that price point that actually make your skin look amazing. I.e chanel vitalumire aqua, estee lauder nude water fresh, ysl all hours. Conclusion: dont waste your money on a meh foundation.

Firstly I have neutral/fair skin, Mac NC15, medium blonde hair and blue eyes. This blush is absolutely perfect for fair skin tones. I have applied this with or without foundation, it looks amazing either way. It barely shows up as an arm swatch but when applied to cheeks, it is the perfect peach/pink natural flush with no shimmer but not flat. It can be built up but no clown face or dirty cheeks will occur with this blush. Note: I dislike blush that is too orange, red or too brown/muddy looking. This is one of my favourite blush, the other is Mac Well Dressed. I have been using this blush everyday for a week now and I am still blown away by this product. I love it and will definitely repurchase!

A truly disappointing, truly awful product. There are many faults - where to begin? Despite having oily skin, this product managed to give me flakiness. It sat in every pore and settled into every tiny line and wrinkle. Normally I can handle a bit of cakiness at the start of the day, before the oily deluge sets in and more or less neutralises it. But this product never gelled with the skin. I managed to look oily and cakey and flaky at the same time and stayed that way all day. It sat on top and never 'melted' in. I bitterly regret paying the money for it but feel bad throwing it away. Maybe I'll leave it in the gym changing room for someone else to try (like that Japanese horror movie The Ring, where you pass on the curse to the next person...)

Best concealer I've EVER used! Also has such a good shade range for me, creme brûlée is my perfect match I have never found ANY skin base to match as well as this. Great product if you don't want to wear much makeup as you can skip the foundation and just spot conceal on blemishes, under eyes etc and it looks incredibly natural. Surprisingly lasts a while too!

I don't get the hype around this product. I have bought and returned it, in several colors, about four times!! Probably because I just can't find anything else that meets my needs, and this one keeps getting recommended! I am very fair, Mont Blanc in Nars' Sheer Glow foundation ( which is neither sheer or glowy!). I have tried the Vanilla, the Chantilly, and the new Creme Brulee because it was supposed to be pinker. The Chantilly was white, the Vanilla had no pink in it, just a greyish yellow, and the Creme Brulee left peachy residue around the inside of my nose and was all around too dark. And that is just the colors. I don't find the formula to be radiant at all! It has light coverage that creased into lines beneath my eyes before I even had any! It looked more dry than radiant to me! I had high hopes for the Creme Brulee, thinking that I would finally find a concealer with a fair, cool undertone that was hydrating and glowy. NOT, will have to keep looking. Again I don't get all the hype. This is just another Nars product, like the Sheer Glow foundation, that is misnamed. At least the foundation was the color described, I can't say the same for the concealer. Any suggestions would be helpful. BTW, I wear Bobbi Brown's Extra Light Bisque corrector under all my concealers, that is how dark my circles are! But her concealers are not cool or hydrating enough either.

Love at first sight. Half a pump is enough for both cheeks and somehow it looks even BETTER as the day goes on. It kind of melts into your skin and I was amazed how good it looked after 9 hours. It is a silicone-based liquid so FYI for anyone who is sensitive. I have Torrid but I'm debating Dolce Vita next because that's one of the all-time great lipsticks.$30 at Sephora.com for a 0.5 ounces of product in a frosted glass pump bottle.

I have purchased this twice, and will continue to repurchase. I'm 48 yo, combo skin, no acne or acne marks, and this gives me a very polished/smooth look.. add some NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes, and it looks flawless, not greasy, not cakey, and lasts a good amount of time with setting powder and setting spray. I like the packaging also. With summer coming soon it's already getting warm in Cali, and this will be my go to, along with Pixi skin tint, and TooFaced cocoa powder foundation, all these are good in the HEAT..Definitely recommend. ❣💄💋

I have tried less expensive and newer ways to brighten my face, but I always come back to this. I’m close to 50, ruddy, and fair with some pore and acne scar situations.- it looks glowy not sparkly on me. Opalescent Champagne-y. I imagine it could look frosty if it does not play well with your skin tone.- I’ve had it for years, which makes it a great value if amortized over time.- The texture works well for me on cheekbones, inner eye, etc. staying power is just okay, but nothing lasts on me and I can’t be bothered to do anything about it.

I REALLY wanted to love this product. It was so hyped! However, it just didn't work for me. Despite its claim to be glowy, i found it to be wayyy too matte, which is crazy since I have such oily skin! It settled into the lines around my mouth and just made my skin look old. It would look decent for a few hours and then go downhill. NARS colour selection is bomb though, that is the only pro of this foundation (I am Gobi). Coverage was patchy. Not longwear at all. I tried so hard to like this foundation but it just doesn't work for me. I prefer Sheer Glow much more!

Right away, the packaging sucks. You have to buy the pump separately which is irritating. However, I surprisingly really enjoy this foundation. I was shocked because I have such oily skin. This isn't a foundation that will last ALL DAY for me and keep me matte. This is an 8 hour wear not much more. The main reason i love this is that it can be used to mix into matte foundations. I mix a dollop of this in with the Maybelline SuperStay foundation (UBER matte) and it gives a good glow and helps the Maybelline from caking around my nose (which is common for me). This combo is LIFE! I can wear this in winter by itself and get away with it, but in the summer, NO WAY. I still keep this around because it is great for mixing, the colour is great (I am Gobi) and a little goes a long way! It is surprisingly full coverage, despite the name 'sheer'...

I got a sample of American Woman from Sephora order. I love the shade. The consistency is very runny. It doesn't feel sticky but it made my lips feel a bit dry after 5 minutes. I think the price is high for what it can do. I have two Flower Beauty Miracle Matte lipsticks that are very similar in color( uploaded picture for comparison). The flower ones are a bit more moussy and not as drying.

To be honest I cannot for the life of me understand the negative reviews because in terms of new releases this is the best foundation of the year for me. I was hesitant to purchase a full bottle after seeing a couple of disappointing reviews on YouTube that led me to believe this was probably another new crap foundation that was being put out along with various other brands. But I really should have known better because Sheer Glow was my OG holy grail makeup back in the day and I've never actually been let down by any NARS complexion products. This is an amazing foundation with perfect coverage and a gorgeous luminous-yet-not-dewy-but-not-matte hard to describe finish. I have a normal skin type that is not particularly oily nor is it very dry so I might be in the lucky camp of people whose skin type is compatible with this formula. Literally this is perfect as an everyday foundation for me because it blends like a dream, offers medium/full coverage and the longevity is impressive. I was paying close attention to how this was wearing because of the unfavorable reports that it becomes patchy, transfers, faded etc. I am happy to report that none of these things happened to me. On the contrary, this wore impressively well next to some of the other new foundations I've tried like Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, Giorgio Armani Face Fabric and Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear Weigthless. I bought the shade Light 5 Fiji for my fake tan but I really wish they carried Siberia for when I am naturally pale. Another thing I'll quickly mention is the shade range in Natural Radiant Longwear does run slightly warmer than their equivalent in Sheer Glow or ADLW. My advice: Don't let the opinions of beauty gurus dissuade you from giving this a try. You might be pleasantly shocked and fall in love with it like I did 🙂
