I hated this when I first bought it. In fact, after about a week’s usage, I wrote a scathing review and nearly threw it straight in the bin. The formula was too wet, the fragrance was too strong and it irritated my eyes.
Meanwhile, We have just moved house and while I am waiting for the truck with all our stuff to arrive I discovered that I have accidentally packed this mascara in my travel bag it instead of my regular one, and it has thickened up a little bit. It no longer feels like napalm on my eyeballs and my friends have started asking if I have had eyelash extensions! (No way am I sitting still for that long with my eyes shut!)
Maybelline... I take it back. This stuff is great - after it’s been opened for about a month.

I rarely write reviews for products, but I had to for this fantastic concealer. I stumbled across it randomly at the drugstore looking for a concealer with good coverage, and this is the best concealer I've ever had. It goes on and blends flawlessly, and the tiniest amount goes a long way. Amazing coverage, yet still feels light and doesnt get cakey or dry, the only time it didn't last perfectly all day I had super dry skin and spent the whole day outside in +40°C, and even then wasn't horrible. Buildable, and doesnt get stuck up in creases over the day. I have sensitive acne prone skin, and this covers everything without aggravating the problem. Will continue to buy this forever!

I was SO impressed with this lipstick! It truly stays on, and the balm that comes with it is brilliant and keeps it from looking cakey. Why don't more long wearing lipsticks come with one? I have paid a LOT more for formulas that are not as good at this one. I really am in love with it..I have two colors and plan to get more :)

For me, the washable Maybelline Lash Stiletto is close to perfection. I like Lancome Definicils quite a bit, but don't like its price. Plus, sometimes Definicils gives me raccoon eyes. Before I write any more about the Lash Stiletto, I have to say what I look for in a mascara, because I realize it's different from what a lot of people want in one. First, my eyelashes are naturally dark (mostly*), fairly long, thick, and curly. Don't hate me, because here's why I use mascara: I need the color. *The eyelashes I have that aren't dark, are white. I've had them half my life now and while I don't have a lot of them (fortunately the number of them doesn't seem to be increasing from the time they first appeared in my 30s), they stand out like crazy since my other lashes are so dark. So, what I look for in a mascara is something washable, that doesn't smudge or flake, and adds length, but very little volume. And, I absolutely despise cumps! I like my lashes to look relatively natural. Definicils works quite well on many of these counts, but it often smudges under my bottom lashes. Since I need to wear mascara on my bottom lashes, too, to hide the white lashes there, I've tried using a primer just on the bottom lashes, which helps stop the smudging, but it makes Definicils clump (I didn't know that was possible) and flake during the day. So far, the Lash Stiletto wears really well, even better than Definicils. I haven't tried in on my bottom lashes without primer, but maybe when I run out of the current tube of primer I just bought, I'll try it without. For me, the Lash Stiletto is very easy to apply and to remove. And, the price is right, especially compared to Definicils' price. I do wish it came in a larger color range, but that's the only negative I can see.

The main reason I bought this was because a lot of the beauty YouTubers with a lot of subscribers (Tati, Jeffree, etc) have all been basically saying “I haven’t used in a while but now that I am, I forgot how good it was”. I understand that sounds completely phony or like they were paid by Maybelline to do, but that’s what you’ll see from time to time. They also came out with a new lighest shade (100 ivory) and since this product has been around the block forever, I decided to see what the hype is about.PROS: The color is good. It looked a bit too orange when first applied, but when you blend it out, it tones down. The color is somewhere between a match for my skintone and slightly lighter.CONS: First of all, it doesn’t cover like I expected. It does brighten my undereye and eyelids, but I have a distinct area of purple/blue that always shines through. The worst thing about this concealer is how it applies and blends though. Frankly, I am quite shocked at how bad it is considering it’s been around a while and is supposed to an anti-aging concealer. When I first applied it, it had that reaction you get when two textures are incompatible with each other. It didn’t pill or ball up, but it was like a huge area of color that did not want to blend in the skin and it was so naturally “unblended” looking when it went on and when I was trying to work at with it that I had to wipe it off and start again. I was wearing sunscreen at the time, but I always wear sunscreen and I have never had this reaction before. I switched to 2 different sunscreens to see how they would perform and while it got better, the fact of the matter is this concealer is too high maintenance. I want something I can dot around my eyes, press in with my fingers, lightly set with powder, and go. Instead, I end up fussing forever with blending it because it does not blend well. It blends patchy. It doesn’t look like you get a smooth finish or smooth coverage more importantly - it brings out tons of “micro” texture in my eye and eyelid, not even lines, but just like patchiness that looks like makeup and ultimately ages the skin by legit decades. I feel like I would need to really step up my eye game or prime my eyes to wear it, which is ridiculous because this has never been an issue before. I know it is the product. I really need to press it the fuck into my skin and then set it quickly with powder. Powder actually makes it look a lot better but I am not pleased. This is similar to the Maybelline “Better Skin” liquid foundation in the way they both do not sit on the skin in a flattering way naturally and are incompatible with finger application.OTHER: The applicator is only designed that way for marketing purposes. It’s unnecessary, can cause product on it to dry out, and doesn’t serve any specific purpose. I don't hate it like I thought I would, but it's not that way to be useful.OVERALL: I still have the product and use it occasionally because the color match is pretty good, but it’s not a good product. The coverage leaves something to be desired and the blend-ability needs work. This is one of those times when I wish I could give a 1.5, not simply a 1 or 2.

the only thing i found good about this eyeliner is, that it’s easy to manipulate with, i really liked it for the first like three weeks or so but then it started to dry out, the pigmentation wasn’t there so much and it smudged so damn much, plus it somehow looked good for only a few hours. i bought it because my friend reccomended it to me and it was obviously such a dissapointment...

I could not get this to work for me and ended up tossing. It left me with clumpy and spidery lashes, instead of the "full fan effect" shown in the advertisements. I will not repurchase. Pros:- Cheap, easy to findCons:- I dislike the brush. From the advertisements, I knew this was a plastic type brush instead of a traditional mascara brush. However, the bristles are much shorter than the marketing shows. Because of this, the bristles don't separate or coat your lashes well. Also, too much mascara comes out on the wand. - I have long lashes, however I need curl, volume and separation. It didn't add volume and left me with clumpy, spidery lashes. - This is a wet formula. This is a preference, but I prefer a more dry formula. Dry formulas are easier to work with for me and my lashes tend to look better. I let it dry out a bit and tried to use it a month later, but it was still too wet for me.

After two weeks of trying to make this work, here are my takeaways:Regardless of how I prime my face (or not), this stuff goes on like spackle and is impossible to blend, and oxidizes quickly. It wears sticky and rubs off on everything. The packaging and price point are good, but the product is a nightmare.

This is a gorgeous, pigmented, creamy, blue based red. I fell in love with Revlon's Love Is On but I love this lipstick even more. The color is absolutely beautiful and I like the finish, too. I'm not a huge fan of matte lipsticks but this one really is a creamy matte. You can also use this to get a pretty pink popsicle stained lip, too. Pat on a little, rub it in with your finger, and add some gloss or lip balm. Best $5 I've spent! I'm NC30-40 with pigmented lips for reference. My pigmented lips can alter the color of many lip products but this lipstick is so rich and pigmented that there is no problem with that.

I liked the way that this mascara made my lashes look but the one problem I have with it is that it flaked and rubbed off like crazy after a few hours. By the end of the work day my under eyes were so dark from this having smudged off. I do have oily skin, even around my eyes, so I think that might have something to do with it, but I'm going to pass on this in the future.

I picked this up because of the hype but I did not like it at all. I got the shade lover and I didn't struggle with the applicator and the color was fine. More purple than I usually go but still a flattering color. Unfortunately this felt disgusting on my face. It doesn't ever dry down and retains an intense sticky heavy feeling. I was able to blot this with a translucent powder and that actually helped a lot. But I am not sure it helped ENOUGH that I will ever reach for this again. I plan on giving this one more test run and then I am going to throw this in the trash. I have decided to give this 2 stars because it does have excellent staying power. But for me that doesn't make up for the texture. What I have heard is that the formula on these varies from shade to shade. With some colors having this sticky problem more than others. EDIT: If you want to make this work you can put it on and then blot it aggressively while it's still wet. It will have enough pigment left but be thin enough that it can dry down better and wear for a long time. For me this improves the texture and feel to the point where I may keep it. Still a lot of work. EDIT: So I did another wear with it well blotted and I found that this made it actually wearable and comfortable for me. So despite my initial bad impression, I am increasing this to 4 stars. Wearing it this way gave me a plenty of pigment. I found that it did not exaggerate the lines of my lips and it looks immaculate hours later. My advice is to make sure to keep your application very thin otherwise it will be a sticky mess. I wouldn't bother bringing this with you in a purse. This is not really a touch-up kind of lipstick. Again this is for my shade Lover. I think the pale ones are supposed to be a hot mess.

I love this product. Unfortunately it's difficult to get a hold of in Spain, so I tend to stock up as I travel.I looooveee it, because it's exactly what I want in a bb cream, it is very subtle on the skin and gives your skin this fresh glow. However, if you are looking for coverage or more of a colour unifier, this is not for you (but you may like the garnier bb cream). It's very sheer and just provides that pick me up (but you still need concealer for spots). I found it dries quickly on the skin and doesn't leave any sticky residue or anything. It's my everyday go to for work or uni and it leaves your skin looking like your skin but a little fresher, a little better.

I was not pleased when they discontinued the old formula a few years ago! I loved it and it looked so good on me!
This version is a bit dryer and needs to be buffed to blend a bit more, but it is a decent full coverage drugstore line. I do like how it has more shades than the old formula. It is definitely matte.
I was going to pick up 330 Toffee, but Ulta has few “exclusive shades” and I ended up going with 332 Golden Caramel.

This did not hide pores and made my makeup slick off within an hour of wear. This might work for those with dryer skin, but for oily gals - no no no! Anyone who thinks this is a dupe for the Benefit Porefessional must have gotten a botched bottle from Benefit because this doesn’t compare at all.

I love this. I have always got a high end pressed powder and for a long time have used Clinique Stay Matte. I can get an oily forehead. I forgot my make up one day at work and popped into Boots and picked this up to keep me going. I’d read pretty decent reviews and it was inexpensive. It is so good and really lasts on me. I will definitely get this in future. Great value. £5.99 as opposed to twenty odd quid. Also ideal to wear on days where I don’t want foundation but would like coverage.
For the review below, the mirror and sponge is in a compartment underneath the powder.
