I had my eye on the HD Blush in Soft Spoken from NYX for quite a while, and I recently picked it up when I returned something to Ulta. The texture is super-soft, which is nice for application but not so nice for the product not crumbling in the pan. I do not like the fact that the blush is so delicate and it can never be taken when I am traveling. The packaging looks okay from the outside, but it doesn't do anything to protect the product inside. Shade-wise, it is pretty but nothing spectacular; it is a sheer pale, milky peach that barely shows up on my NC10ish skin. Some people might like that, so if you're pale and you want a very subtle blush then this is for you. I will keep it and use it, but considering the marks against it I don't think I would repurchase or buy other shades from the line. NYX is a brand that generally hits it out of the park for me, but I prefer their original blushes and their mosaic blushes way more.

This was a very disappointing purchase. The product didn't do anything for my large pores. I hated the 'silicony' feel of it on my face. It also seemed as if my foundation was sliding all over and giving way less coverage. My skin didn't look even. I couldn't wait to wash my face. Tried it few times but I just shouldn't have to work so hard to make a product work. The price was also outrageous for a drug store product ($20CAD). Going straight in the garbage.

I bought this because Emily Noelle on youtube recommended it. I disagree with her recommendation. This is not a good product and I would not purchase it again. When I first opened it it seemed like no product would be on the brush when I pulled it out of the tube. Emily touted this product as not being goopy and having too much product on the wand... well, she's right about that. It almost seemed like nothing at all. Over time more product would be on the wand after I had used the product for around a month. It doesn't do a good job of holding brows in place. It also doesn't travel well. I packed this in my makeup bag and the makeup bag was surrounded by soft items (clothes) to protect all the makeup inside. This is the only product that broke. I also think in the future I will only buy brow gels in clear packaging. I don't like not being able to see inside the product. The gel eventually turned to a whitish color after only 2 months of use (and that's not using it every day as I don't wear makeup every day).

I really love these soft matte lip creams. They are a little bit messier than regular gloss so i need a mirror to apply. This color is super pretty and vibrant but not necessarily my favorite. IT comes off a little too purple for me. I will definitely purchase more but not this shade.

This is everything I wanted the glossier boy brow to be.....and it’s a better price. Win.

I've never used an eye primer before because I found the whole concept kind of gimmicky, and I didn't think it could be any different than using concealer on my lids. I have seen the light of day after using this eye primer. This stuff is amazing and affordable! My eyeshadows glide over my lids and they blend so beautifully and easily. The colors don't crease or move around, and the lasting power is unbelievable! One night I fell asleep with my eye makeup on and the next morning I woke up looking like I had just applied my eyeshadow. I'm so impressed I've been telling all my friends to go get this stuff. Will definitely repurchase

I love this palette. The shadows are buttery and have great colour payoff, and the pans are a decent size for getting a brush or finger in them. These work well for me with and without a shadow primer, with primer they’re a bit more intense. The metallic bronze-peach shade is so beautiful that I press a pop of this on my lid (with my finger usually) on pretty much every warm look I do. The yellow in the bottom corner is my favourite under brow highlight colour too.
I have a few other Nyx palettes and they’re a bit hit and miss, but I’ve already ordered another one of these. I’m told the Avant Pop palettes are all great and the Go To palettes have the same buttery formula. I hope they make more like these!

I tried the boscia charcoal cleansing balm and it’s great; only downside is the price. For $40, you only get 85g. This nyx cleansing balm I got at London Drugs (for my fellow Canadians) for $15.99 + tax for 100g. In my experience, I haven’t felt any “film” residue after the wash .. so not sure what’s going on there with the other reviews. I also prefer to use make up remover for my eyes prior to the balm so I can’t say if it works well or not for waterproof eyeliners & mascaras.**EDIT: It removes waterpoof eyeliner and mascaras really well. All completely off.Pros:- Works just as well as the boscia balm - I personally like nyx more because it’s not an oily balm like boscia. The oily feeling is gross to me. - removes all face make up: my high end matte foundation perfectly (and it’s a stubborn foundation to remove)- a little goes a long way- the price to product ratio!Cons:- kind of unsanitary because there is no spatula or a way of scooping out the product (as others have said) I love this drug store cleansing balm and I can’t see why I would take it out of my skincare routine. BUY IT IF YOURE ON A BUDGET!

I have this primer in clear. I don't like it at all, for those saying it's a dupe for Smashbox's Photo Finish primer...sure it's a dupe in terms of packaging and texture but not at all in performance! This primer makes my oily skin...even oilier. It's useless to me and would only recommend it for those with normal skin types, not oily ones.

For the people said this is a great mattifying setting spray, y'all are liars! I've even heard some compare it to the UD setting sprays...I don't notice any difference in my makeup's longevity at all. It does not prolong how long my face stays matte either. I would say it's useless but I managed to find a use for it and that's for wetting my makeup brushes for better pigmentation in lower quality eyeshadows. This is not a product I'd recommend to anybody, especially for those with oilier skin.

I like this product for natural looking brows (while I find the ABH pomade much better for crisp, defined brows) but I still have to mix it with a brow gel to get it to the consistency I want. I use a bit the Colourpop brow boss "clear" gel (it's actually white) and mix with the Nyx pomade on the back of my hand. It isn't ideal to have to mix two products just to make one usable, but I don't actually like the brow boss gel on its own because it's too white, so mixing the two together is a good fix for me!Colour is a little too warm for me personally, definitely wish there was more of a colour range.Because it's so affordable and great for a natural look, I will probably repurchase. But I plan on buying the ABH pomade again as well, I wouldn't consider this Nyx product a dupe. I've seen some people saying that the Nyx pomade isn't pigmented enough, but it's called a "tinted" brow pomade so I don't think it's necessarily supposed to be as pigmented as the ABH stuff. Again, not a dupe, but still a good product :)

I am nc20/25 and wanted a matte bronzer. All self tanners make my face break out, however, I can use them on my body. I needed this to match my face to my body color. I bought this in light and it is perfect! With semi careful application, using a big fluffy brush, it is not blotchy and not reddish. Going to stock up!

I agree with the previous reviewer, although I have the dark red shade Oxblood instead. Red eyeliners are hard to come by, and red lip products more often than not contain pigments that are not eye safe.I love the Faux Whites collection, so I thought these would be like them but with dark colours instead of pastels. On the surface they are very similar, same design of pencil except they have a black coating instead of white. They are soft, creamy, and matte just like the Faux Whites, and initially it goes on comfortably and evenly with bold colour. However, they smudge and smear SO much more than the Faux Whites! They don't last long at all, I used it on my lower eyelid's outer third only, which tends to be less oily than my hooded upper eyelid and generally where most eyeliners I wear stay put the longest. This was patchy and half gone after around 2 hours, lots of smudging and settling into the lines that appear next to my eyes' outer corners when I smile. Admittedly not my best look. Also, it wound up so uneven that it kind of looked like I'd scratched the skin there. It's disappointing how short-lived it was, as the Faux Whites are some of my favourite eyeliners ever - matte pastel colours that last all day and glide smoothly on when applying. Great for a natural inner corner highlight, or as an eye colour enhancer on the lower waterline in a shade that contrasts the iris or a coloured contact lens. The Faux Blacks also has a good range of shades, which are genuinely very pretty on - but unfortunately the formula lets them down. I'd advise not to waste your money on these as although the shades are beautiful, the colours alone can't save its poor performance.

I picked this up because of the price and the fact that it said matte finish. I didn't really like the slight smell it had but it quickly went away. There is alchol in this which I don't like so I'm assuming that's what the slight smell is. It quickly absorbed into my skin and set my make up which I did like and held up decently on hot days however it didn't actually give a matte finish. My tzone does get oily so I normally apply a little more primer in that area and once I complete my make up, I spray there first let it dry then my entire face lightly. I dont wear a lot of make up, I dont contour or anything like that yet after about 3 hours my tzone looks oily. The amount and the price is good and using it to set my make up has been pretty good too (it doesn't start to crack or run etc. Which I'm not sure has to do more with the nyx pore filler primer or this spray since I started using both together) but because I was looking for something matte and that's what it claims I gave it 3. But as a setting spray in general I'd give it a 4

I purchased this product in the lightest shade available at my Walgreens, Natural. In the compact, it looks right for my NC15 skin but this stuff oxidizes like nobody's business. It turns very yellow and the results are quite patchy, even using different tools, including the foam puff located in the bottom of the compact. My face looks grungy/dirty. This one is going into the trash. NYX has some good products but this one is a FAIL.
