Doesn't work well for eye makeup. It makes a mess of it and a lot of mascara/eyeliner/shadow ends up in my waterline, which means extra work to remove from there with cotton buds. When I use my current HG garnier micellar water (pink cap ) all my eye makeup is gone in two sweeps of the saturated cotton square. Also it doesn't rinse clean. It leaves a light weight, soft film behind wich is good for dry skinned people, but not for my oily face. Because of this I would only use it to remove very tenacious makeup and suncreen (estee double wear, mineral sunblock, liquid lip) AFTER removing eye makeup, and follow it up with a face wash.Since most days I use chemical sunscreen , non water proof mascara, and Loreal Pro Matte as foundation (plus powder color cosmetics) I have no need to use a balm, my Garnier Micellar water is a great pre cleanse for eyes and face. Quick and not messy. That said the texture of this butter is great, very slippery. A little doesn't go a long way though and I need about a quarter size amount. If I remember correctly I prefered the cleansing oil version of this butter. Still I'm giving it 4 stars since dry skin people will probably enjoy it.

Love this. Besides being the only TBS body butter I can use because I can't stand any of their scented ones, it does a beautiful job of moisturizing my dry, dehydrated skin. I even use it on my face and hair sometimes! I do wish it came in a squeeze tube rather than a jar for more hygienic application...

To me, this smells really bad, especially after it's been on for a while: it smells like cheap stale cologne. Frankly, I don't like any of the body butter scents, and can only use the unscented (Aloe) one.

It works so good on me! Makes my skin clearer & softer.. all the blackheads & whiteheads are gone! Can be used for acne treatment spot too. But if you leave it too long on your skin, sometimes it makes your skin drier.. so use it only 10 minutes maximal.. but i definetely love this product😊

I love this mask. it really clears up my skin of any blackheads and it leaves my skin feeling soft and my pores minimized. i would say however, it does feel very drying and uncomfortable while its on but the after effects are worth it in my opinion. i would also advise that you moisturize before and after this mask for the best affect.

While I disliked the cream version of this, this hand and nail butter is my night time HG hand cream.Again, the scent is definitely a love of mine, I'm a sucker for almond scented things.I love using this at night, I wouldn't recommend using it during the day because it is a heavier hand cream, and can get greasy, so it's not ideal if you need to use your hands. But, I have found that using this at night (sometimes even in the morning right after I shower) if absorbs, it takes a few minutes but it absorbs well, and my hands feel moisturized and hydrated. The feeling tends to last like there's a protective layer left from the butter, which is great especially in the drier/colder months.A small pot of this tends to last me ages, and while I dislike having to scoop product out with my fingers (it's unsanitary) its not too big of a deal since I only use this in the evenings or after my hands have been thoroughly washed.I have purchased this numerous times, and have gotten it gifted to me because of how much I praise this cream to my friends/family.If you can stand the strong almond scent, I suggest picking this up and giving it a try, it'll make your hands and cuticles very nice and soft.

I found this left my hands quite greasy, and I did not find it very hydrating/moisturizing which kind of defeats the purpose of a hand cream. I did love the scent, but not being able to hold pencils, or anything really, without them slipping from my hands is a let down.

To start, I'm one of those ladies who uses things like coconut oil and a washable make-up wipe (think knock-off makeup eraser cloth) to remove my makeup/skincare at the end of the day. But I was feeling indulgent one day so I picked up this butter/balm to test out. This cleansing butter smells very nice, and it I found that it definitely worked at removing my makeup, including mascara (not the waterproof variety, I don't own any so I don't know how well it works on that). I found that I did have to work it into my eyeliner for that to come off easily.I bought this during one of the Body Shop's sales, a few months back. It lasted me about 4 months, which in my opinion, is not a very long time. This could also be due to the fact that I found I had to use a lot of the butter to get enough of it on my face to work, I used about the size of a walnut. It did rinse away nicely though, like most cleansing oils, it rinsed away cleanly in a milky texture taking the makeup/residue with it, I found that it left my skin feeling a tad dry after rinsing, but my biggest issue with this cleansing butter is that it made my eyes burn something fierce every time I used it. I did not like that about it, and for that reason alone I would not repurchase.I'm off to try some other cleansing oils/balms. Or maybe just stick to my tried and true methods.

Love at first use! It provided amazing coverage with just one thin layer, stayed matte during my 8+ hour shift and didn't transfer onto my glasses. It did oxidize a little, but nothing to worry about. The only bad thing is that it looks a bit cakey after a few hours, but blotting solved that for me.This is the first foundation ever to work on my extremelly oily skin and not look at least a little bit shiny after a few hours - maybe because it dries down to a powder finish.

I've tried this for about two weeks then decided to make a review. Honestly, I like this product thou it smells like ginger..hahaha.. my hair felt smooth, less dry and tangle free after using the shampoo and conditioner. This also helps to lessen my dandruff. The only con is it can be quite pricey.

I didn't like this product though I had so many high expectations for it... It was highly advertised when it first launched. I have to say the price was relatively cheap for the standard 1 fl. oz compared to many other drugstore brands. It isn't as thick as some may say. You'd expect a clay foundation to be thick but compared to others like the elf acne foundation, it is much runnier. I found that it looked SUPER matte I don't understand why many didn't find it looked that way after it dried down. Made me look like I had powdered foundation on top of normal foundation. I'd put a tiny dab and spread with my fingers and yet I'd look super cakey and really made it look like I was wearing a thick layer of foundation as even my friends pointed out. The colour was rather ashy though it did match me and when I started getting oily, the foundation would break out around those areas or rub off making my once nonexistent pores look HUGE and the foundation clumpy as heck around the oily areas. Ended up selling it off as there was no way I could ever hope to finish it. I did get some spots a well but I can't blame this product since I sometimes get new acne randomly but no major breakouts, which is a plus for those with highly reactive skin like mine. Product smells nice, a very, very faint tea tree and earthy smell but fortunately nothing harsh. All in all, sometimes you have to try it out as everyone's skin looks and reacts differently.

My T zone is oily and some parts peeve me with their shining no matter what foundation I’m wearing. I bought this primer by accident and testing thought it looked the most matte I’d ever seen. Well, it works just the way I want. I apply in onto my T zone, and it’s matte absolutely for 10 hours.

I SWEAR BY THIS!!!! Honestly my favorite daily cleanser. I know it’s meant to be a scrub but it doesn’t even feel like one and unlike many scrubs it never makes my skin feel tight or irritated. No joke this makes my skin looks so bright and smooth and this even made my acne scars fade away.Although it is expensive I believe you’re getting every penny’s worth!

Really good powder foundation giving a soft-matte almost velvety finish. On days when I’m in a rush I can always count on this to give me a quick glam up. However it does seem to fade after a while and settle into fine lines- but most powder foundations seem to do that anyway.
