Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth -Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash

on 5/10/2018 11:48:00 PM

I think 💭 this acne wash has been discontinued & he recently released a new acne cleanser! I remember getting a sample from Sephora to try & it was a decent face cleanser! It was a gel to foam cleanser & made my skin feel very clean! The man knows how to formula good products! I really appreciate how his products for the most part are completely fragrance free! 👍& do what they claim! His acne gel is also very good!

Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth -Instant Mineral SPF 45 (Sephora exclusive)

on 5/7/2018 5:27:00 PM

This is a not a Sephora Exclusive product as I bought mine at Ulta.

I have read reviews that in the past this product had a tint - orangey . I can tell you that this probably has been fixed because it is completely transparent now ,colorless .

I like this product. It is very practical .It's a mineral powder and so a physical barrier /block to sun and UV.
Pros :
It is transparent and weightless.
You will barely feel it on your skin. The only way to know it is there is to touch your skin and see if it feels 'powdery.'
Very fast and convenient ,effective way to protect your skin.
Very comfortable.
Practical .We need more SPF products like this.

The product is SO transparent and weightless , that my husband ( men apparently love this product, I was told ) said it was " The Emperor's New Clothes Of Sunscreen .He did not believe there was anything actually in the tube ! ( or on his skin ) another words , he was skeptical .
I tend to agree with him, I was dubious about it all but I am giving it a trial run .

The product is so transparent and weightless that is hard to know just HOW MUCH you need to put on or how much you have put on, on the areas you have covered . " Dust away with your little feather duster brush and hope for the best. "

The mechanism of the brush and the pump system of the product. You do not push the bottom of the tube or turn the tube to get the powder onto the brush .You have to pull the tube down , the brush retracts , then you push it out again .you still will hardly see any product on the black brush . So " Dust Away With Your Little Feather Duster Brush And Hope For The Best. "

This product is probably best as an insurance policy after you apply your spf makeup or sunscreen and to carry with you in your bag or pocket. I need all the help I can get ,so I use this on top of spf makeup .

Otherwise and minus my snark :D , it is a very good buy.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth -Water Drench Cloud Cleanser

on 5/7/2018 3:36:00 PM

I received 2 samples of this product and just ordered a full size. I love how soft and moisturized this leaves my skin after I use it.Plus I do not need to use very much of it. I currently use Cetaphil Gentle cleanser and my face feels very dry afterwards.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth -Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel

Eeek. I just used this cleanser for three days along with the PTR glycolic cleanser because I ran out of my normal face wash and had ordered the cleanser travel size kit a few months ago and never tried. I think these are really awful cleansers. They both leave your skin feeling stripped and tight after washing then major greasy. My skin felt like there was 5 layers of oil on it. I'm waiting for it to freak out with acne now. I wouldn't recommend.

Moisturizers -Peter Thomas Roth -Oiless Oil Squalane

on 4/26/2018 12:22:00 PM

I would repurchase squalane but probably from a cheaper source . I like the thin texture and the oil sinks right in . I love the glow it gives from within the skin hence I use it as a makeup base , but I don’t think it really moisturises well . This has no scent and spreads nicely . Love it .i dislike the dropper provided by PTR, as the rubbery portion is quite stiff .

Treatments (Face) -Peter Thomas Roth -Max Complexion Correction Pads

on 4/26/2018 12:06:00 AM

I am a Big fan of PTR masks (Pumpkin Mask and Cucumber!), so I decided to try these in hopes it would help with cell turnover, acne scarring/healing, and breakouts. I have combo-oily acne prone skin and incorporating this in my routine helped me see almost immediate results. It especially helps with texture, blackheads, and fading scars. It does all of that while being pretty gentle (I don't use them every day, maybe 3-4 times a week). My skin feels very toned, soothed and calm and they are actually moisturizing. I don't see any difference in my pores, but nothing works for me there! These are a pleasure to use because they smell great, and feel great on your skin. I love that the little pads hold a lot of the liquid and you can use one side for your face and the other on your neck and decolletage. They are pricey, but effective if you're acne prone (especially adult, cystic acne), looking for a heavy duty yet gentle alternative to a treatment toner.

Moisturizers -Peter Thomas Roth -Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

on 4/23/2018 12:26:00 PM

This cream is not moisturizing at all. I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin and this cream just feels like a silicone on your face. Also it gave me some pimples and my skin felt more dry. I think hyaluronic acid its not for me cos I did try a different moisturizers with this ingredient and all of them gave me bad reaction and dried out my skin.

Moisturizers -Peter Thomas Roth -Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

on 4/18/2018 8:47:00 AM

I am really enjoying this! I have oily, sensitive/reactive skin prone to dehydration. I'd say this is about on par with Clinique DDMG in terms of moisturizing capability, but with the added benefits of ceramides and such. I haven't experienced any irritation or clogging, and it provides plenty of moisture for my skin. Main gripe is that they could have easily put this in a pump container - - right now I'm using a mini jar, but if I purchase the full size I'll decant it into a pump bottle because I hate jar packaging unless the texture absolutely calls for it. Overall a very nice option for normal to oily skin (in my opinion) that has lots of beneficial ingredients and low chance of causing irritation for sensitive folks.

Nothing special. My eyes were getting swollen underneath and my skin felt dry and tight after each use.

Treatments (Face) -Peter Thomas Roth -Retinol Fusion PM

on 4/16/2018 3:58:00 AM

Initially I loved this. It prevented break outs, made my skin glow, and I looked very youthful each morning. No irritation either. It's very thin but spreads very easily. 1 ounce may seem like a small bottle but you only need a few drops. It looks like it will literally last forever. My friend and I bought this together. She brought to my attention that it was causing creases in our foreheads. We both returned.

Masks -Peter Thomas Roth -Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

on 4/15/2018 11:54:00 PM

As per Sephora, "[t]his powerful, triple-action, manual, chemical, and enzymatic exfoliating treatment addresses a dull, aging, and congested complexion in three ways: it exfoliates with pumpkin enzyme, reveals with alpha hydroxy acid, and polishes with aluminum oxide crystals. It also helps even the appearance of skin tone, smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and clarify to reveal skin that looks smoother, younger, radiant, and revitalized."

After using it for about 5 months or so, I can say yes to all of the above. This mask (or "Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer," if you prefer) smells exactly like pumpkin pie and has the finest exfoliators that I can feel as I apply it to my face. When I smooth it on, it begins to tingle -- not uncomfortably for me, but those with more sensitive skin might want to spot test first. I usually leave it on for longer than the packaging recommends (it says 3 - 7 minutes, but again, I think this depends on how painful it might start to feel for you) before I hop in the shower and let the steam work away at it for a bit longer before I massage it in with circular motions as I rinse it off. The next morning I wake up to baby smooth and glowing skin. For reference, I used to have really oily skin in my teens and twenties, and now it's evened out a bit to a more combination skin that is prone to hormonal breakouts. I'm sensitive in particular to heavily fragranced products and things chock-a-block with silicones (also, a very specific skin type barometer: Olay moisturizers always work for me but their cleansers always break me out. It's a mess). If you're my skin type doppelganger, this mask is for you!

It is fairly expensive ($58 USD for 5 ounces), but if it's any consolation, I've barely touched a quarter of the amount in the jar and I've been using it for almost half a year now; a little definitely goes a long way with this. It's the most expensive mask that I've used, but it's also the most effective one I own. At the rate this is going, this jar will last me until November when Sephora's sale rolls around again, and I can stock up on my yearly supply at a discounted rate.

Mascara -Peter Thomas Roth -Lashes To Die For The Mascara

on 4/6/2018 9:00:00 PM

I got the mini version that came in a gift set.

I used up the whole tube, and felt like it looked natural but added some darkness to my eyelashes. Overall pretty good, but not sure I would repurchase based on the cost. There's probably something comparable and less expensive. That being said, it didn't clump or smell chemically, which some mascaras do to me, so that was a plus.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth -Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Cleansing Gel

on 4/6/2018 8:54:00 PM

I had the full size and it lasted forever, since I didn't use it daily and you really only need a pea size drop.

When it ran out I had a mini size that came with a gift set my mom gave me. I used that one up, too!

Feeling like I need to repurchase again for it's great rose smell, and helped keep my skin nice and clear.

I bought this 2 weeks ago because I got eyelash extensions and when I got them removed my eyelashes where extremely short and some had fallen out, this product got my eyelashes back to how they where and just alittle bit longer. Not a bad product but would I suggest it for this price no but made alittle difference
Price I payed: 110$

Toners -Peter Thomas Roth -Glycolic Acid 10 Toning Complex

on 3/31/2018 7:10:00 AM

Expensive but it comes in a big bottle so may last you a long time. I've been using AHAs for the longest time, experimenting with different brands but always in a serum format. I thought I'd try the Caroline Hirons way for a change, which was using an acid toner followed by a hydrating one. I had just completed Drunk Elephant's Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, which incidentally I used twice a day with no irritation, and I thought since my skin tolerated the 12% AHA I thought this toner would be a breeze. Well I was wrong!

As a start my skin was tingling upon application and I was using this twice a day. Within days I found my forehead to be shiny not in a dewy or greasy way, but rather it was mirror smooth, kinda unnatural, almost like vinyl. Several google searches confirmed my suspicion that my skins was over exfoliated. So I've now resorted to using this once a day. So even if it's just 10%, it's highly effective. Because I've been using acids for such a long time I don't expect miracle results, just more for maintenance like how you can't get away from cleansing and moisturizing. As long as it brings expected results like even toned skin, sebum regulation and hopefully prevention of fine lines without irritation it's good for me. Enjoying its use because skincare to me is also such a sensory experience it's a bonus. I do like this, but personally I prefer AHA serums so may only repurchase when I'm looking to switch up my routine once in a while it to keep it interesting.
