This is lightweight and doesn't contain any agents that will make the hair feel slippery and super conditioned. So I'm reviewing this based on what it is, not for what I need, even though those are the same thing as of now. It makes my hair feel super soft but not weighed down at all, a bonus for my very thick, stick straight hair that can go limp very quickly. I accompany this with the Seanik Solid Shampoo bar and they keep my hair looking great for the 5-7 days I wait in between washing. I wouldn't use this if you need a heavier, daily conditioner to combat frequent washing which can dry out the hair. I rub the conditioner bar on my scalp and back of the head and then rub it between my hands and use that instead of the actual bar for the length of my hair.

The Birth Of Venus is a jelly face mask from Lush designed to calm, soften and refresh the skin. The jelly formula is easy to use, I simply tear off a little, rub between my fingers until it become a paste consistency and then apply to my face. I then leave it on for roughly 15 minutes before rinsing. It rinses off easily with warm water, I like to rinse it off in the shower for the quickest and easiest removal. This mask really appealed to me due to it containing seawater, chamomile and carrageen extract - ingredients I know my skin loves. This mask has a refreshing somewhat herbal, somewhat oceanic scent (but not fishy like Aqua Marina can be!). I have a somewhat sensitive skin and this mask does not irritate it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and refreshed, and does help calm any breakouts or redness on my face. I use this mask a lot and would definitely repurchase. Lush's jelly masks have a longer shelf-life than the fresh face masks and you only need to use a small amount at a time making them great value for money. I have enjoyed all the ones I have tried so far, and would definitely recommend them. If your skin needs softening, calming and refreshing then The Birth Of Venus is the one for you!

this product is advertised as a facial soap for sensitive skin, but i dont think if its really made for that. so i went to a lush strore weeks ago, i was planning to buy herbalism but they’re out of stock so i asked the lady what her recommendations are for me, i have an oily, dehydrated and acne prone skin and she told me that fresh farmacy is the bes substitute for herbalism so i gave it a try, my first night was ok but after 3-4 days i started having cystic acnes i had 3 cystic acne and some reoccuring pimples which really bothers me and this leaves my face with like a powder finish to it because its a powder based soap, anyways this makes my skin break out even more which shocked me because i thought lush products were the one to save my skin but i was wrong. this makes my skin very dry to the point that my face will produce more oil, and make my chin, edge of the nose, and the eyebrow very flakey. i wouldnt really recommend this because it has a coconut oil in it, which oily skin people shouldnt really use anyways if you want give it a try

This moisturizer I got during their January 50% off sales, so the price from 69.90€ was cut half. I have to say the result of this moisturizer is impressive and I have used at least over 100 moisturizers in my life. I'd recommend wearing it during day time as it gives a very nice glow and *plump* effect. As a normal/dry skin person I feel despite the texture being light my skin doesn't get dry throughout the day. They have testers of this in pump bottles, so I think they should think about that also for the selling items to reduce exposure of this creams ingredients to air.

My skin: Combination skin that is slowly becoming drier as I age, while still being acne prone. The second jelly mask from Lush that I've tried, the first being 1000 Millihelens. My main issue with that one was that it was so hard to work with, it wouldn't turn into a paste. This one is, for whatever reason, much easier to work with - it turns into a smooth and creamy paste with hardly no work at all. I'd say this mask is in the same family as the rosy cheeks mask and the aqua marina cleanser - very soothing and mattifying without it being drying. I like that it doesn't crumble when it dries down as I like to kick back and relax for a while with my mask on. As much as I love Lush's fresh face masks, many of them are crumbly as hell, so this is a nice aspect of the jelly masks. It's fairly easy to wash off, takes a little time and water but requires no scrubbing like some masks do. Afterwards my skin looks clear yet pretty hydrated. It's not a miracle worker, but my skin seems to like it. A nice alternative if your skin needs soothing. The Catastrophe Cosmetics fresh mask will always be my favourite Lush mask, though. + Cruelty free+ Vegan+ Nice and soothing+ Fresh scent, not overpowering+ Longer shelf life (3 months) than the fresh face masks+ A little goes a relatively long way- Not the most effective mask, more for soothing and pampering the skin

I really liked this! Though it smells pretty strong before crumbling into the bath (sugary sweet), it is moderated by adding to the water. and speaking of going into water, the color is outrageous, lol. A bright fuscia hot pink. it strikes me as something I would have adored as a teenager. once in the water, I could detect maybe a pinch of musk? anyway, I liked the scent in the tub, and I didnt find it scented my skin very much afterward. I did like the fact that it didnt dry out my skin or hair, after an hour-long soak. didnt mess up the tub and didnt leave it oily either. would get it again, it was fun. approx $2/bath

This is the second jelly mask I have tried from Lush, and I am very impressed with it. Bunny Moon is a good one for those who have dry or sensitive skin. It has soothing and softening ingredients that my skin loves, such as honey, rose oil and chamomile. I simply wet my face, take a small amount of product from the tub and rub it between my fingers until it breaks down some. Then I apply to my face, leave for 15 minutes and then rinse. I do find that the jelly masks are easier to rinse off in the shower than just by the skin. However, I have no issues with Lush's jelly formula. I find that my skin feels soft, smooth and hydrated after using this mask. It is a very gentle face mask. It gives my skin a lovely glow after use. It also has a lovely honey scent. I will definitely repurchase this one. I am keen to try out other Lush jelly masks too. This one is just lovely.

Hell no. I'm lucky I got a sample and didn't spend money on this. After I washed off this mask, I quickly developed red, irritated, itchy bumps all over my face and started peeling like crazy. It's been four days and it's just starting to calm down. I won't be buying anything from lush for a while.

Used to really like some of their skincare in my 20's like Vanishing Cream or Cosmetic Lad. Starting with 30 their stuff just didn't cut it anymore and realistically it can't. There's nothing anti ageing in there, nothing that provides deep hydration, no decent exfoliation (apart from salt, lemon juice, maize flour etc), no sunscreen. If you're young and spotty you're probably gonna like Mask of Magnaminty or smth like that, but by 25 or 30 (at the latest!) do yourself a favour get yourself a retinol, a hyaluronic, a C serum, and a good chemical exfoliant. Trust me, all the cocoa butter, lemon juice, essential oil mixtures do not compare. And the high ammounts of fragrance (whether natural or synthetic) and SLS may sensitize your skin over time (it did mine). The shower gels and shampoos are ridiculously drying, the bath bombs are fussy to store, inconsistent in quality and crumble all over the place. The bubble baths turn to rocks now if you don't use them straight away. I did like their hair treatments though! In the last 10 years the ethics of the company also changed drastically: products are bulked up with CORN FLOUR, perfumes now contain WATER, prices are ever increasing while the formulas don't change and the sizes get smaller. Good classic products were discontinued to make way for gimmicky crap like dusting powder in a cocoa butter case or naked foundation. If something comes back then in an over hyped super small batch, at double the price and you're supposed to wake up 4 hours early or schedule your day around the time it gets put online... Long story short if you're young and greasy and looking for a scrub or mask to dry the s### out of you, this is the place for you :) For everyone else, there are tons of better products and better companies out there at better prices.

Oh if you love sweet smelling, soft skin which makes you want to breathe deeply as you walk in the spring air with a mild warm wind blowing, then try this. I was hooked! It was a gift from my daughter-first Lush product ever and I was sold. The toffee/honey smell is soft but captures your attention. It's a softer soap so be sure to keep it stored in a tin. The soap has 2 parts as the top portion is a honeycomb which is rougher but does fall off. The last bar I had had an unusually thin section of honeycomb and immediately fell off during my initial wash which was disappointing. Honey is a wonderful, natural healer so if I have a breakout, I use the honeycomb side which has always healed my skin, surprisingly quickly too.It doesn't lather up much so if you aren't used to natural products, be forewarned. It doesn't mean it's not a great product, because it is definitely that. There is a product of the same name which is a liquid body wash which is wonderful also and a hair bar for washing or conditioning your hair which wasn't my favourite item but smells divine. Keep it stored in a tightly covered soap container to make it last as it's a softer soap. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely LOVE this product! Fragrance is beautiful and addicting and works very well moisturizing your skin. I also put it in my feet after my shower but make sure you bring socks with you and put them on immediately or you will end up with it on your carpet etc or could potenslip if not rubbed in very well. It's one of my 'makes me happy' products that I have found made a big difference especially this dry winter and will not have a shower without one of these from Lush. Be sure to run it in well and I wouldn't recommend it if you are wearing silk as it would likely absorb the oil and ruin the blouse I think. I wish they made tins to fit this product but doesn't stop me from buying it again.

I LOVE this product since the first time I bought it. The fragrance is lovely-almost addicting. It doesn't leave me feeling sticky and works really well on my feet which for the first re ever, became dry this winter. My skin feels much better and smells lovely and I would absolutely recommend this as an all over body butter. I wish they made a tin for it to be stored in as it would last longer in the shower but I've kept it out of the spray and seems fine.

I love the fragrance of this shower gel - I want to wear it as a perfume but haven't found it in the store as a perfume. You need to shake the bottle as the ingredients separate, and when you squeeze it out it's quite runny and looks watery. But a little goes a long way! I used it about once a week and my bottle lasted nearly a year. So it's great value. It lathers up really well and it felt nice on my skin - soft and gentle. It didn't strip my skin at all. I am not a huge fan of Lush packaging - I prefer my packaging to be a more girly looking. But I love the fragrance so much I can let it go :)

My bar for a good cleanser is that it should remove MU as well. This one that not, not even slightly. Most cleansers I reviewed / used in the past, remove MU as well, not this one. Instead it's a nice morning face wash to start the day, it doesn't irritate skin and feels smooth and clean afterwards. However, the soap bar easily breaks which isn't convenient. Won't repurchase.
