Background: oily, acne prone, rednessPros:- price- shade range - packaging (it has a pump!)- nice consistency and easy to apply with sponge or brush- light coverage; is buildableCons:- never sets. even after powder, it still transfers (not sure if it’s because I’m oily skin?)- does it keep oils at bay? Can’t say because it never set for me lol Because it never sets, I won’t buy this again. Wish it worked out for me though because of the price and shade range!

My skin is dry and a bit dull. So I just started using this at night after Alpa Arbutin, (toner, Alpa Arbutin, then vit c).
Everything was good and i love this product, even the texture is rough and does tingly my face, it means this product works, however today is the day 5th and i can see my face looks so much brighter, i didn’t know that those product actualy give me that fast result, but on the 6th day of using this, i dont know whether it’s the Vit C or the Alpa Aburtin, the areas around my eyes shown bumps like little acnes. I guest im not gonna using this Vit C product everynight just 2-3 night per time.

I was drawn to The Ordinary due to a friends recommendation, and also the low price attracted me! I really enjoyed using this serum. It made my skin feel smooth and look radiant. My pore size looks smaller after using this for a month, and fine lines are plumped. It is a really fluid light serum, and I use it under my day moisturizer and SPF. Love this product!

I love the serums from The Ordinary so thought I would give this moisturizer a go. It was pretty average to be honest. Didn't moisturize anywhere enough for my skin, but in saying that it is winter where I live so it could be partly why.But it also didn't look good under my makeup, it made my foundation look a bit feathery or something and no amount of blending would smooth it out. Also it didn't leave my skin feeling nice, over all this moisturizer is nothing special.

Not sold on this, to be honest. I was drawn to this over claims of a light hydrating booster serum, perfect for summer. I'm not sure I even noticed a difference when using it - it's very thin and watery, and easily sinks into skin, but unfortunately its hydration properties aren't great and skin feels dry again soon afterwards if no heavier cream or serum is used afterwards. It has a strange scent which some people can't stand, but for me the smell goes once it's on the skin. I've not noticed any significant effects when mixed with a moisturiser either. However, the good news is that it didn't make my skin any worse.I won't repurchase this as there's no point buying something that doesn't appear to do anything.

I am SO impressed by this little product! It's the strongest at home peel (by a large margin) that I've used, and I didn't really know what to expect from it. Especially since it's seriously cheap. It tingles and warms up a bit upon application - no real sting to speak of. The mask is known as the blood mask for a reason, and your mirror image will definitely look a little gruesome once the mask is applied. However, this makes it easy to check that you've applied the mask evenly, and even better, that you've rinsed all traces of it off after the recommended ten minutes. After rinsing the mask off my skin feels incredibly soft, and looks amazingly clear. I expected the skin to feel a little bit sensitive afterwards, but it feels absolutely fine. I tend to focus on calming products after the peel, just to be on the safe side, and I always wake up with glowing and healthy-looking skin the next day. This chemical peel has seriously limited my need for and use of physical peels, which I think is great. Most of the time I use it only once a week as to not over-do it with acids in general, but I think it's gentle enough to use twice a week too. Particularly if you don't really use any other AHA products. I will without a doubt repurchase this when the times comes. Though that won't be for a while yet, since a little goes a long way with this product. What more can you ask for?+ Cruelty free+ Vegan+ Great price+ Has the right PH to be effective (between 3,5 and 3,7)+ Leaves skin smooth and glowing + Doesn't feel irritating, drying or overly abrasive+ The packaging, while simple, works well and looks quite sleek in my bathroom cabinet - None that I've found so far

This is a very decent primer for a highly wallet friendly price. For having the name silicone primer it's not actually very silicone-y in texture. In other words, it's not the typical ultra blurring, "creates a barrier on top of your skin" type primer. It's more of a thick cream that feels quite hydrating. I think it'd do even better on drier skin than mine (I have combination skin with an oily t-zone), but it gives a pretty nice canvas to work with all the same. I won't be running out the door to repurchase it, but it works well enough for everyday use that I'll definitely use it up.+ Cruelty free+ Vegan+ Alcohol free+ Very affordable+ Gives a decently smooth base, i.e. takes care of the worst (though that's about it)+ Works as a pretty hydrating base without feeling or looking oily- Out of the claims "matte, hydrating, blurring" only the hydrating part strikes me as true- Doesn't fill out bigger pores very well since it's more of a cream- Can't say that I've noticed it prolonging the wear of my foundation much

Let me start by saying that I adore TheOrdinary. It's almost impossible not to like their philosophy and their products. But with Rosehip oil? I have to admit that most reviews are extremely favorable and it was like this product is a total game changer. It was also suggested to me by Deciem as the last step of my routine. Well, my skin hated it. I have no particular problems, my skin is healthy with no major issues and I look much younger than my age. I found this oil too heavy, unbearable to smell, it somehow fuelled my oily prone skin to big time oily and I think I had a minor reaction to it (redness on my cheeks). I guess it was to much for me.

I think this is a decent product but you won't see miraculous results. At the same time, it doesn't have any of the side effects of perhaps more effective ingredients like hydroquinone. It has a good texture and is absorbed easily. Nice packaging although I wish The Ordinary had some variation in their bottles. I have so many products that it gets quite confusing.

I really wanted to like this product. So much so that I bought an extra tube and also some Ferulic acid to go with it. Unfortunately, as wonderful as The Ordinary products might be with regards to price and ingredients, many of them just don't absorb into the skin. And this product is the worst offender. It is super greasy - the kind of grease that you have to scrub off your kitchen platform and it has some kind of micro granules in it which feel a bit scratchy. No way could you ever wear this in the daytime as they have suggested. But even in the night, this stuff is heavy grease and most of it just gets on to your pillow. You have to wonder how much effect its having on your skin at all. I have stopped mixing it with the Ferulic acid because if this doesn't absorb on its own, then another oily product added to it is a waste. One good thing I can say about this is it seems really stable for a Vitamin C product. As is my habit, when I've completely squeezed out a tube, I cut it so I can get all the product out. With this product, I got at least 4-5 more applications out of it but I had to store it in another container in the meantime. 5 days on, there is no sign of the usual yellowing that you see in most Vitamin C products even though there is quite a lot of air in the container.

One of the multitude of Vitamin C serums that the Ordinary has on offer. This comes in a small 30mL squeezy tube, not in the usual glass bottle + pipette dropper lid. This is not the most potent version, and doesn't offer visible results as quickly as some of the other products, particularly the L-ascorbic acid powder and the vitamin C suspensions in HA and silicone. I use a variety of other products on my skin and the stronger vitamin C tends to be too much for it. This is milder, and comes in a hydrating cream formula - feels quite refreshing on application without stinging or burning. It is heavier than a serum so I use sparingly. It takes a while for its effects to start showing, but I have noticed a modest improvement in overall evenness of skin tone - most of my discolouration issues stem from acne and the red marks left once a pimple heals, and some patchy beige areas on my torso when I get a flare of tinea versicolor in hot weather. For the first 2-3 weeks of use, I didn't notice any difference, but seeing as it wasn't causing problems I thought I might as well finish the bottle at least. I'm glad I stuck with it as it has helped fade pink marks more quickly. Had another premenstrual breakout 2 weeks ago, pimples showed up on my skin like rowdy teenagers gatecrashing a party and leaving red wine stains all over the place after being booted out. Only instead of wine on carpets, it's acne marks on skin. Now, nothing's going to fade marks 100% overnight, but I used to have pink and red marks from healed spots all over the place, my skin often looked worse than it was. Might have had 5 new pimples only but with all the pink marks, it looked like I had a lot more spots than I actually did. I started to notice after 3 weeks that these were fading but part of me wondered whether I was trying to subconsciously "justify" my purchase. However, during my most recent breakout, I had a small number of spots appear on my cheeks and chin but for the first time, it looked like a few spots on otherwise clear skin as surrounding them, the halos of red and pink spots had vanished. Similarly, after successful antifungal treatment for tinea versicolor this lightens the hyperpigmentation left behind. As an aside...I use this with niacinamide, which also can lighten hyperpigmentation too. The official advice is to not mix the two because they neutralise each other, but in fact only a tiny proportion ends up inactive in this way. For those interested, a cosmetics chemist wrote about this in his blog:https://kindofstephen.com/can-you-use-niacinamide-and-vitamin-c-ascorbic/

This stuff has been a god send- it actually makes me super oily skin LESS oily throughout the day (even in the awful heatwave we just had.) using a thin layer during the day underneath a primer and foundation helps make the makeup look more natural, IMO. I also love how this oil has no scent and doesn’t feel as “oily” as other facial oils. I use this day and night all over my face, including under my eyes. It’s great for dryness and combating an excess of oil on your skin. My skin needs this stuff now that I’ve discovered it. My face is softer and healthier looking. I will be replacing this when it’s gone for sure.

Wonderful stuff! Use caution if applying after any exfoliation as it may sting- especially if skin is still damp. I use this 1-2x a week in my routine and usually time it for right before I will be dressing up or going out, since it definitely gives a glow to my skin! The price is unbeatable and as long as your skin type can tolerate the potency, is a fantastic addition to just about any skincare regimen.

Disappointing. I was looking for a cheaper option to replace Amazonia's rejuvenating moisturizer, which I love, but I already spend so much money on all their other products I wanted to find something cheaper with similar results. This is a serum, the other is an anti-aging moisturizer but they both have 10% matrixyl 3000 so I thought the results might be similar. This just didn't do anything for me. It felt like it didn't penetrate and after using the whole bottle I say no change, vs. the moisturizer which I felt like my skin was improving after less than a month. I don't know if it was all the other ingredients in the moisturizer that made the difference and matrixyl 3000 is not that great or what, but this served no purpose for me. The one plus is that it didn't break me out like a lot of The Ordinary's other products.
