I purchased this ‘Clarifying Lotion’ alongside various other Clinique products. It states it’s a ‘Clarifying Lotion’ WTF does that even mean?! Cut the bull crap Clinique, it’s a very harsh toner that is riddled with alcohol. The scent is unbearably potent, it stings your eyes, it’s that strong. All this product did was strip my skin. It did NOT clean pores, did NOT exfoliate and did NOT improve my skin.I’ll tell ya what it DID do, take my hard earned cash! For the record, because I’m an idiot, I purchased the Clarifying Toner 1.0 non-alcohol version and it did absolutely nothing. Rose water is now my HG toner.

I got this in 12 Rosewater Pop shade. The color is very light. For comparison, Burt's Bees tinted lip balms for example either give the same amount of color or a little bit more. It has a shimmery look. I'm generally not a fan of lip glosses but when I wear one, I prefer that to have a more wet look than shimmery. These are personal taste of course. The good side is that it's really hydrating and lightweight on the lips. Probably because it's lightweight it doesn't stay on the lips for too long. Personally I think the best use of this gloss is like a base and applying another lipstick/lipgloss on top of it. Or you can put it on top of your matte lipstick to make it brighter and change its color a little. For that it's great but if I could find the color in Burt's Bees tinted lip balms for example, I would go with Burt's Bees which is also cheaper.Clinique generally goes with milder ingredients compare to the most equally popular and internationally available brands so it's less likely to irritate skin and in fact this caused no irritation for me. If it wasn't for that I would give 3 stars.

I love it because it's very lengthening, a tiny bit volumizing, not too dramatic, and the brush gives a lift to your lashes. It washes off easily. Really nice mascara! My issue is that the formula dries out quickly.

To be quite frank I don't really believe that Clinique's High Impact mascara really lives up to its name. I am lucky in the lashes department, my lashes are already black, long and curly so I just need a mascara to give me a bit more volume and a bit more of a boost. This one adds just enough volume to make it obvious I am wearing mascara but not much additional length or va-va-voom. It's a good mascara to use for everyday events where you just need to look polished and put together, but if you are seeking a dramatic or 'high impact' look, this one is probably not for you. On the positive side, the brush is a nice size and catches all lashes well. I also enjoyed the formula and found that it did not clump. It lasts throughout the day without flaking or smudging. It won't last through crying, but I don't mind this as the mascara is not claiming to be waterproof. It also removes easily with either a makeup wipe or an oil-based makeup remover. It does it's job, but considering the price I believe you can find much better mascaras at either the same price point or even at the drugstore.

I bought this because I liked the black one. The brown Pretty Easy pen is very different. The color is a soft medium brown. It may not show up very well if you have a tan. The tip of the black one I have is short and thin. This one still comes to a fine point but the brush is longer. The formula of the black one seems to last longer. The brown pen isn't as water resistant. I might go back to the store and exchange it for a new black pen because I liked the original. Or I might get Stila's dark brown Stay All Day liner.

Nice... I like how this liquifies quickly, wipes off easily, removes all of my makeup and best of all doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue like old school makeup removers. It’s very pricey but I’ve seen so many recommendations from MUAers for this as the best of the best and a little really does go a long way. Since I’m currently using all Clinique as my skin care I follow up with face wash and I never find any makeup residue left behind. The only other makeup remover I’ve used that can be compared to this is Albolene and even though my skin is dry, I don’t like the after feel of it, maybe I will like it more in the winter but right now it’s summer time and I actually feel like a grease ball after.

This is basically like using a primer as a moisturizer, except it doesn't actually behave like a primer. It doesn't control oil or shine, or blur pores, it just made my skin feel and look dry. I have combination skin that's oilier in hot weather and thought that it would be a great summer moisturizer. I've had a lot of luck with other Clinique products (Take the day off cleansing oil and City Block sunscreen are ride or die for me). I just don't think this is a good product. Clinique products are also always reasonably priced for their quality, but you need so much of this to cover your face, so that was also a con. I gave it a point for being fragrance-free, but would not recommend for any skin type.

I have sensitive skin. It gets red and irritated easily as well as flaky and swollen due to dryness. My face will freak if you put something harsh enough on there. I LOVE this stuff. I got a travel size of it for $9.50 and it's definitely worth every penny. It's gently yet aggressive. I was wearing the waterproof better than sex mascara and after letting it sit and soak for about a minuet it just melted away. No harsh rubbing, no irritating fragrance, no breakouts. I'm definitely buying the full size when I run out. I do recommend using a spatula to scoop out product though for sanitary reasons. If you get a spot of makeup in there it'll break down and spread and ruin your product.

This is not a soap but a creamy cleanser. I’ve decided to give Clinique another try after having last used it years ago as Clinique has *finally* changed a few things - just a few. I don’t remember if they had a liquid version of the soap last time I used it. I don’t feel this is anything special, there are creamy cleansers available at the drugstore that work just as well, if not better because they are formulated to remove makeup, where this soap is meant to be used on a makeup-free face. But since I’ve never tried it I decided to go ahead and get some. It freshens and leaves my skin clean without drying it out. But I don’t think it’s anything special, other than it’s indeed mild and all of the things Clinique is known for (fragrance free and non-irritating).

I received a sample of this and tried it several times as is without a brush. It foams like crazy! First use was after removing makeup with TTDO balm as on rare occasion my dry skin can feel a little greasy (after eating really greasy foods for several days) and I wanted something a notch up from the extra-mild liquid face soap. I dispensed about the size of a dime and just in my hands it foamed up so much that when I applied it to my face I got some up in my hair and it ran down my neck as well because it continues to foam up more when working it. It rinses off well and is slightly hydrating so it didn’t dry my skin out.Second use I washed in the morning and used less, but it still foams up like crazy, so I can see my sample tube lasting quite a while as I will be using just a dab from now on when I use this to wash with. I will not be trying this to see how this does removing makeup... Clinique has always preached a pre cleanse when wearing makeup so I personally would never expect this soap to take everything off. So for a basic facial washing soap, yep, it’s a soap. No miracles here, just a soap that foams up like crazy so if you are a lover of super foamy soaps you may want to get the 1oz travel size and see if this fits the bill. I will not be buying a full-size tube nor the sonic brush system because I feel brush systems would be too aggressive for my dry skin and do more harm than good.

This is pricey, but I keep going back to it because every other product either breaks me out, leaves a white cast, or emphasizes fine lines because of a shiny film. This does neither. It just protects.Very easy to apply, works great under makeup but I found its also kind of mattifying so if I’m not going to work I frequently use this on its own with no makeup. I can see myself using this on my holidays playing in the pool with my kid wearing maybe just a bit of waterproof mascara :) The only drawback is the price tag, but since I’ve started noticing fine lines on my forehead whenever I’ve gone in the sun with a cheaper product, I will probably splurge on this whenever I can.

Removes makeup well, without tugging. However, compared to Biore's Makeup Remover Perfect Oil (a product I discovered on my Asia trip last summer), this: - doesn't remove makeup as well, especially eye makeup; - leaves my skin too dry; - is more expensive. Also, I found Biore's cleanser more convenient: the pump allows for faster dispensing of the product, while with Clinique there is the lid, which also tends to collect dust and water stains (yes, I have the tiniest bathroom cupboard which does not have enough space for Clinique's container). This was not a bad product, per se - but why pay more when Biore's Perfect Oil cleans better, you need less product, is cheaper and leaves my skin soooo soft, supple and glowing after use, while Clinique's version leaves my skin dry and lifeless? Hence only 3 stars for TTDO; 5 for Biore's "perfect oil"!

Hi! Im Asian and have very sensitive combination skin with eczema, and I’m on my 5th bottle of this toner. I don’t know why but my skin is ok with this absolutely-smelling-like-alcohol toner while the Lamcome pinky one broke me out like crazy. I use this twice a day after my Cetaphil cleanser and it works very well...

For years this has been the only moisturizer I could use on my tender skin. Recently I tried Nutigena Hydro Boost and I’m happy with the results.
