Treatments (Eye) -Clinique -Pep-Start Eye Cream

This is a fine eye cream. It's not too heavy, smells nice, and provides a decent amount of moisture for the whole day. If you have oily skin, but find that concealer looks cakey under the eye, try this (or a similar eye cream). It solved my concealer issues.

My sole issue with this product is the packaging. For the last two weeks, I have had to scoop out product with a q-tip. The tube makes it impossible to get the last 20% of product out, so you're forced to pop off the top and scoop it out.

Cleansers -Clinique -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

The stuff melts off my mascara/liner with ease. Use it without water, rub it over your face, massage it in. I like to let it sit on my face for a minute before adding the water. Once u add the water it becomes milky. Rinses off easily. This product does NOT sting my eyes, and works better than any other eye makeup remover. I do follow up with a regular foaming facial cleanser, because I am paranoid about breaking out, but... it's not necessary. The few times I did not do a second cleanse, there were no breakouts. I recommend getting a mini travel size to sample it out first. Once clinique has a gift with purchase, I will get the big size.
-travels well. No spillage, no cotton balls necessary. The mini size is perfect for vacations. I'm very happy with it. :)

I have been using this shade for awhile and love it! I am a no makeup kind of older gal with a heavy hand and this great for me! Hard to over do it and gives a natural nude sheen to cheeks! Great for me since I wake up at 4am to get ready for my day!

Eye Shadow -Clinique -Jonathan Adler Palette

I like this group of shadows. I bought over the summer (I have seen it cheaper now though) and it has a fun feel to the colors. 13 total.
I find the bright ones were still workable, and the neutral ones do work with the brighter ones. The shadow went on smooth, no fallout. The brushes are not to bad either.

The case is pretty and its sturdy. Would I buy it again? No, but that's only because there are so many shadows and so little time to try out!

Would not recommend this product to those w acne-prone skin/skin that is easily congested by moisturizing products.

This is a really lovely product, no fragrance, quite pricey but you need the smallest amount of product for your entire face so it would be worth the price tag to me in that way. It feels so luxurious, very silky, smooth, gentle, and moisturizing. It easily took off all of my makeup. A gripe I have w this product, however, is that it feels as though there is a film on my face after I rinse it off and even after using a proper cleanser afterwards. Even though this film/oily residue felt quite moisturizing on my skin and made my skin feel very soft and moisturized, it was also a little unpleasant because it also felt like there was a little bit of something left over on my skin (and I would always wash my face w my cleanser usually 2x after using this).

However as stated earlier, this sadly broke me out quite badly. I ended up giving it to my mum who really likes it.

Masks -Clinique -Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

A serviceable moisturizer that has no fragrance and didn't break me out. Unspectacular yet decent. If I found a great sale price I would buy this again, but it's a bit too pricey for regular use in my routine.

Mascara -Clinique -High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara

NEW FAVE MASCARA! Holy crap best mascara. Holds a curl like nothing else I've ever used (way better than roller lash). Kinda feels like a waterproof cause it's a little hard to remove but I don't mind that at all. If you have straight lashes and always have to curl the heck out of them to get any results, you'll love this stuff. I'm on my 2nd tube now zero regrets.

Liquid -Clinique -Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup SPF 15

Great foundation. I have oily skin and usually cannot use a glow foundation. I would not say that this foundation is glow foundation, but definitely not matte. Most foundations break up on my skin the longer I wear it, but not this one. Also does not settle too much in fine lines.

Eyeliner -Clinique -Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen

I have monolid and quite oily and I don't recommend this liquid liner although I love the intensity. I like that it's so easy to use it and I can achieve wing eyeliner look. Tiny mistakes from this eyeliner are easy to fix, I just rub it with cotton swab. However, it will smudge by the end of the day! It leaves watermark like onto my under eye. A lot people don't have any problem with it. They say that it stays put, but not for me. I try every way to let this eyeliner stay throughout the day by applying eye primer then set it with powder. It's stilI smudgy. I even could take it off with my bare fingers, so yeah it isn't waterproof or oil-proof. Here, I am still searching for the right one.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Moisture Surge Face Spray

I don't understand the reviews saying it is water in a bottle. I spray this on and my face feels sticky and gross. I even sprayed it on my two teenage daughters and they hated it and said "mom, I can't believe you like this!". Also, don't spray it near your mouth because it tastes gross. I am almost 46 with very dry very sensitive skin. This made my skin feel gross, itch, and I did have breakouts but was using two new things so I am not sure if this was it. I feel like this would be more of a toner than a moisturizer. If you don't like to feel heavy or sticky things on your face, you won't like this.

Mascara -Clinique -Lash Power Mascara

I have been using this mascara for YEARS! I work as a personal trainer/group fitness instructor & it is so hard to find a mascara that will not smudge, but comes off without special makeup removers. My only complaint is that it flakes off & the little flakes sit on my cheeks or end up in my eyes. This happens 100% of the time & has been unavoidable; maybe I should try a primer. However, I will say that they make my lashes look long, separated & defined. No volume & it's a one coat mascara unless you want to look like you have clumpy spider legs for lashes. The mascara is very "wet" at 1st as well so I pull the wand out aginst the side of the tube to remove some of the product for the 1st week or so.
My 1st inclination to buy it was after water skiing with a friend & noticing her lashes looking flawless after she got out of the water.

Sunscreen -Clinique -Sun SPF 30 Body Cream

on 12/3/2017 1:27:00 PM

First off, it doesn't break me out :D Second this is not a good daily sunscreen for oily skin (too emollient). Third, the face version of this was VERY similar UNTIL recently. Clinique changed the formula of the CLINIQUE Sun SPF 30 Face Cream not long ago which is mortifying. I imagine word got out that you could buy a proper sized sun cream for the same price as the unacceptably small one of the face one by getting the body one. I wouldn't be surprised if they added something that would irritate the eyes to the body sunscreen one to discourage its use on the face.

I love the packaging on this and the price. Sunscreens shouldn't be 1.7 ounce bottles that cost fifty dollars. This goes on creamy with no white cast. Its very emollient and has a sheen but it fades a lot after 10-15 minutes.I can see this working for most skin types. Since its SO creamy its not optimal for oily skin as a daily sunscreen. That said I have oily skin and live in a hot/humid country and I've been using it. To make it work for me I just powder a bit on top of it with some siilica powder. I apply it on my face, neck, chest and arms/hands twice a day. Its not overly irritating or anything either.

My favorite Paula's choice sunscreen (Clear Spf 30) sets and feels matte to the touch. This one feels like moisturizer (creamy) and that can be a problem with makeup. It sinks in noticeably after 10 minutes; but if I use 1/4 teaspoon as I should, I have to set it (after leaving it alone while I get dressed) with some translucent silica powder before applying makeup or makeup just does not stick to my face. If I do that everything goes on fine on top. I wouldn't buff cream products right on top of it, I think it would move the spf. Just stipple everything as much as possible. After setting with powder subsequent blending doesn't move it.

On the negative side, I think it migrates a little to my eyes and makes one of them tear up a little. I might try the one meant for the face next, even though it mortifies me that it comes in a small bottle that will run out quickly (because you have to reapply sunscreen multiple times a day). Perhaps that one would be easier on my eyes? Dunno.

I will not repurchase for everyday wear because I prefer lighter sunscreens (watery, matte to the touch) and it makes my eyes water a little sometimes. The one from Paula's choice doesn't bother my eyes and its a chemical sunscreen as well. This would be great on dry to even combination skin types. Not for oily gals though, its too creamy/emmollient. Its fine on the body of anyone though.

Liquid -Clinique -Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

foto

I always go back to this when I try new foundations. Need full coverage for serious and dark acne scars. Because I’m 45 and dry from years of acne treatments I need a foundation that doesn’t dry me out. Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able and All Nighter by UD both cover beautifully but tend to leave me dry at the end of the day even with moisturizer and facial oil applied prior to. This Clinique product stays slightly moist and comfortable without sliding around or breaking up. I sometimes use a finishing powder if I need many hours of wear but it’s got a pore minimizing quality on its own for a regular work day. I own 3 shades and mix them as needed for contouring and change in seasons. No breakouts with this ever and no scent. Thanks Clinique.

Powder -Clinique -Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder - 02 Stay Neutral

foto

Yes! A classic! I always have a Clinique stay matte on me. It's my HG pressed powder. I like the size of the mirror and that the packaging is not too fussy. The coverage is fine, I usually just use it to set my foundation and touch up during the day. There is a reason I've been using it since middle school!

Moisturizers -Clinique -Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer

on 12/1/2017 11:46:00 AM

foto

The Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer is a decent moisturizer for someone who has dry non-acne prone skin. My only real issue with it is the fact that it comes in a jar which allows all the good antioxidants to degrade with exposure to light and air. If you have acne prone skin I would caution use of this moisturizer because it is so thick and paste-like, and it contains some potentially pore-clogging ingredients. When you apply this you can definitely feel it on just because the texture is so thick. This also prevents some breath-ability of the skin which can also allow pores to become clogged. This does slightly blur fine lines but not quite as muc as promised. My more detailed video review is here:
