Cleansers -Garnier -Micellar Foaming Gel Cleanser

this legit RUINED MY SKIN, it containes coconut acid which clogged my pores and ruined the texture of my skin. I had great skin before I started using the micellar products, didn't struggle with sensitivity nor with acne. However after using this, I slowly started getting bumps all over my face, inflamed, non inflamed, blackheads and so on.

The issue with this is that it slowly builds up and clogged my pores so it was hard figuring out which product that had caused this. I went on antibiotics and was about to start a course of accutane when I figured out that this could be the issue.

The day I stopped using it my skin calmed down and stopped clogging the eff up. It's been a couple of weeks and it's slowly healing and improving.

the product itself btw, isn't amazing imo... it does remove makeup as it says, but the "clean feel" is overrated. just cause a product feels nice doesn't make it good. And regarding the price, the amount I've spent to clear my skin up again could've paid for liquid gold, thanks to this. Don't buy

Cleansers -CeraVe -Hydrating Cleanser Bar

on 12/12/2017 5:27:00 PM

foto

I generally stay awake from bar cleansers as they dry my skin, despite my forehead, nose, and chin being very oily. My skin gets dehydrated, clogged, and can become irritated. Lately, my skin (face and body) has been so dry because of winter weather. I decided to give this a try while perusing the skin care ailse. On their website, the areas of concern for this soap are: cracked and chafed skin, dry skin, facial cleansing, gentle exfoliation, itchy skin, psoriasis prone skin.

I really like it. My face and body are not nearly as dry and my forehead is clearing up (only area that is acne prone on my face). I like the scent. Give it a try. It is not expensive and their website has coupon. I'm going to check out more of CeraVe's products.

Cleansers -Olay -Luminous Micellar Cleansing Water

Sensitive skin here! This burned a bit for me, but I don’t seem to have luck with micellar waters. I wish I could find one that doesn’t burn or sting!

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand -LULERAIN - Nanorain

Ever since I got this product I have been obsessed. You just fill it with pure water and it has some technology that breaks it up into nano particles of mist that can be easily absorbed by the skin. It's like a portable humidifier for your face! And there's no expensive re-fills, you just use water. It's so dry in my office and this has been a life saver. It also doubles as a phone battery charger (genius) so you can charge your phone if it runs out of battery.

My skin is normally super dry but using this throughout the day keeps my makeup looking fresh and dewy. I've noticed a huge improvement in my skin and I'm so excited to keep using this!

Moisturizers -Curel -Curél Moisture Face Milk

on 12/12/2017 4:56:00 PM

I've tried 3 items from this brand
- Curél Moisture Gel Lotion
- Curél Moisture Face Milk
- Curél Intensive Moisture Cream

1. Curél Moisture Gel Lotion
This one is good to use in the day. Although it is a gel-lotion, there is no tacky feel like other gel moisturisers. It is scentless. This one is good for combination skin. For my skin type, it is ok to use in the more humid and warmer months.

2. Curél Moisture Face Milk
This one is good to use at night. It is a scentless lotion that absorbs quickly into the skin.
I like that it does not leave a sticky layer. My previous HG was Physiogel AL cream. This one does not leave a sticky layer that I appreciate. I'll use it in the day too, in the colder months.

3. Curél Intensive Moisture Cream
This one is the heaviest of the lot. Love it during the colder months.
I wouldn't recommend it for warm and humid weather though.

So far, all 3 moisturisers were compatible with my sensitive skin. There was no redness, itch or tight feeling. Love that they are scentless and give a 'clean' vibe.
Read on the brand's website that the 2 heavier moisturisers contain ceramide, which is an ingredient that I think is great.

I don't know if this was any better before... I was wanting to try it for years, and it really disappointed me.
The color I chose (no 2), which I wanted to use for under my eyes. I have a little bit of undereye circles that I want to cover, and this concealer was said to be "full coverage". However, this didn't have enough coverage, so I decided to use it under my nose instead. Even there, where I don't really have much to cover, the coverage was to light! I could barely see any change - it's a light coverage concealer...! I'm seriously thinking about returning it, as it is literally useless: makeup that gives no coverage...... The creasing was very weird too: under my eyes it creased in my VERTICAL lines, which are barely at all existant - I'm only in my mid-twenties

The packaging is very annoying: it only dispenses product if you turn it 5 times, and then a blob of it comes out. Twisting 4 times does nothing.

I bought mine at Kohls, for $32 - quite a steep price for the little amount of concealer that you get - I can get way more concealer for a better price from many high-end brands, such as Estee Lauder, Helena Rubinstein, Lancome etc.

Treatments (Face) -Clarins -Shaping Facial Lift Total V Contouring Serum

on 12/12/2017 4:39:00 PM

I've been re-purchasing this over the years. From the time it was packaged in a white bottle to the current classy gold. It worked to reduce the puffiness in my face. Loved it so much that I bought the 100ml when it was occasionally available, especially at airports.

Similar to most Clarins products, this is has a fragrance. I'll prefer if it the smell was less strong or non at all.

Was distracted by other products and left my 100ml bottle aside for quite some time.
When I finally got back to it, a year later, it still smelled ok and worked well.
But to play it safe, I decided to use it on my upper arms instead. It worked too. Made my arms a tad more toned in just a week. I wouldn't recommend using this for the arms though due to the high price tag. However, I didn't quite like Clarins body shaping cream and total lift.

This works well on the face, and I'll only resort to using it on my upper arms when it has been lying around for a while (and possibly less safe to use on the face).

Mascara -Isehan -Kiss Me by Isehan - Heroine Make Long

I have short, fine lashes and had issues with smudging and panda eyes when using other waterproof mascara. I found this item while traveling in Japan and it is incredible! The makeup is light and easy to apply and ads volume and color to my fine lashes. The best part is that they don't smudge, even after 8 + hours of wear all day at work. I've used many different brands and this has been by the far the best line I've used so far. Now I wish I had bought more!

Bronzers -Cover FX -The Perfect Light Highlighting Palette

I have the Radiant Light powder in Moonlight. I'm glad I got the sample size. It's great in terms of a natural glitter free highlighter for pale people but Moonlight Pearls by ELF is a $3 dupe that is also glitter free, more intense and buildable.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Amuse Bouche in Thistle

on 12/12/2017 4:10:00 PM

foto

The best way I can describe Thistle is that it's an interesting muted grayish mauve. Bite's Amuse Bouche formula is quite thick, yet creamy, so it's not lightweight, but it does feel substantial on the lips, it wears well and is somewhat moisturizing. I actually prefer feeling that I am wearing lipstick, I don't expect a "weightless" formula, just my personal preference. My lips are quite pigmented and generally on the dry side and I need to wear balm underneath lipstick, but the Amuse Bouche formula wears comfortably and offers good coverage with one to two swipes from the bullet. In terms of the shade, Thistle is somewhat similarly cool toned like Pat McGrath's Madame Greige and Lust Angeles. I do prefer Pat McGrath's Luxe Trance lipstick formula over Bite's Amuse Bouche because I find the Luxe Trance formula is longer wearing, after a few hours it wears off more evenly and - that is my most important point: Pat McGrath's lipsticks all have a very neutral scent and no discernible taste. A big plus for me. Scents in lipsticks I enjoy are Charlotte Tilbury's or Tom Ford's very soft vanilla scents. Obviously, it is very personal how one perceives scented products, but I truly dislike the lingering fruit punch scent of the Bite Mouse Bouche range, they also taste noticeably sweet. Three stars for color and formula, I deducted two lippies due to the scent. Therefore, my verdict is that these are solid lipsticks which wear well, but anyone sensitive to scent and smell in lipsticks be aware, I recommend testing before buying. Since I can find shade alternatives I will not repurchase more shades from this line.

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics -HOOLA

This is my all-time favorite bronzer! I have a full-sized one and a travel sized one so I always have it with me.
I'm super pale and yet it still looks natural for contouring. I don't use the brush it comes with and generally have always just tossed it aside, but not much to be expected for coming in a small box.
Overall, I love this product!

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand -Manuka Tree Normalizing Cleansing Gel

on 12/12/2017 3:56:00 PM

foto

I bought this because i had a good experience with Ziaja before ( i tried their Smoothing Enzyme Peeling which worked nicely) but this cleanser was horrible. My skin is really reacting to the cold and harsh weather in my country at the moment and therefore i thought that this cleanser would help clear my blemish prone and irritated skin. I liked it in the beginning but after some time i noticed that it broke me out! My skin is now looking worse than it did before i started using this cleanser. I've got big cyst like pimples on my chin and my skin is feeling super dry. The foam is nice and soft, it has nice pump which you can lock and the price is good. However seconds after i start cleansing my ski i could feel small pimples on my skin.
My has never reacted so badly before and i will never repurchase this horrible product.

Cleansers -Shiseido -"Perfect Whip" Foam

on 12/12/2017 3:49:00 PM

foto

This is the best value for a Shiseido foam cleanser product. It retails for about $7.88 (YEN) in Japan which is quite reasonable. On my last trip there, I saw tourist filling their baskets and emptying the shelves for this item. It has a perfect light scent and lathers beautifully to give you a squeaky clean and refreshing wash. I bought several to give to friends and they love it!

Mascara -Unlisted Brand -Liquid Lash Extensions

on 12/12/2017 3:07:00 PM

Thrive Causemetics (NOT a typo- will explain) liquid lash extensions mascara: In all my 50 years of wearing mascara, this is absolutely the BEST mascara EVER! My lashes are thin and sparse, but you wouldn't know it. This mascara goes on great, does not smudge or flake, and a tube lasts a long, long time! (I'm still on my first after many, many weeks). It is supposed to stimulate and encourage lash growth, too. I bought tubes for my daughters, and they're hooked now, too. Whatever you order- the same goes to a woman in need. That's why it's called "Causemetics". Also, their customer service is absolutely the best. I should mention that their "semi-permanent" eye liner is also great- it's the only eye liner I use now. the mascara and all their makeup is only available online at thrivecausemetics.com.

Polishes -Deborah Lippmann -Naked

on 12/12/2017 2:53:00 PM

I'm 64 years old, have had acrylic nails for at least 25 years, and don't do flashy manicures and colors very often. It's either a deep red or a nude. But nudes are so hard!!! I've spent years looking for the right one. I have over 40 in my drawer now, and none have made me want to happy dance. Too light, too dirty, too pink, too yellow, too... well... ugly. Until last night, when I put Deborah Lippmann's "Naked" on. FINALLY! The perfect shade for my skin! I thought that was an impossible task, but I just didn't look far enough. It's December right now so my skin is paler than summertime, and maybe I'll want to use a different shade come summer. But for winter, this is it for me! One coat is thin, two seems to be a good opaque. A bit thicker than some polishes, but I liked the brush and thought it was fairly easy to apply, and easy to fix little boo boos. I put two coats between a base and top coat and will see how it wears for a few days. If you've spent years and years struggling to find that perfect nude, and don't seem to really know if your skin tone is blue-ish or yellow-ish, give this one a try. I think you'll be impressed!
