Shampoo -Kevin Murphy - Smooth.Again.Wash

on 10/16/2017 6:40:00 AM

I bought this shampoo and the coordinating conditioner at the recommendation of my hair stylist and was not disappointed. The product description states that it contains monoi oil, sunflower seed extract, and murumuru seed butter to control frizz while making hair smoother, shinier and stronger. It is also sulfate-free. The fragrance is a light herbal and very pleasant. I paid about $30 for an 8.4 oz. bottle. It lasted a long time as it's very concentrated. I wouldn't call it a miracle product as I don't think it performed better than other salon shampoos I've used, but I liked the way my hair looked and felt and will include it in my product rotation.

Hair Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle

on 10/16/2017 6:36:00 AM

I love this stuff! My hair loves silicones and this is like pure silicone! The packaging with the squeezy thing is great, I find regular jar packaging for deep conditioners to be inconvenient in the shower. Unfortunately it's a bit pricey over here for a drug store brand due to import taxes, but I tend to save it for when my hair needs a real pick me up so it lasts me a long time.

Conditioner -Bumble & Bumble - thickening conditioner

on 10/16/2017 6:32:00 AM

I got this for 70% off so the price wasn't terrible, but the original price is crazy for what you get. It's not amazingly moisturising, but at least it only weighs my hair down a little and does add a little moisture. It's got good anti-static properties. It doesn't thicken my hair at all, and since it does weigh my hair down a bit my hair looks thinner instead. It did nothing for my scraggly ends. Honestly, it's not terrible, but for that price I expected at least for it to have some great properties, not just "not terrible". Aussie Moist works better for me, even Garnier Whole Blends, for a fraction of the price.

Polishes -Essie - Altitude Attitude

on 10/16/2017 6:20:00 AM

Altitude Attitude is a pretty shade of raspberry coloured creme nail polish. It is a red shade with a tinge of pink and is quite a bright shade. It has an incredible formula, it is a one-coater! It is fully opaque in one thin coat, it applies very easily also and does not apply with streaks or patches. It dries quickly and to a shiny finish. It is a pretty classic shade which I believe would suit all skin tones, especially deeper and warmer skin tones. It is also a very pretty summer pedicure colour. It wore well on me, lasting around 4 days when paired with base and top coat. While this shade is not overly unique, I can recommend it to anyone who loves pink based reds or anyone looking for reliable shades to build up their nail polish collections. An awesome one-coaster!

Gels/Soaps -Nivea - Bath Care Pampering Shower Oil

on 10/16/2017 6:19:00 AM

Wanna know what I washed my hair with last night? Nivea Shower Oil. I used it to clarify my hair and to see if it's a good option to 2in1 shampoo/conditioners for my SO, and my hair felt so silky after rinsing it out that I let it dry without using conditioner to see how it turned out. Wow!! Only my fuzzy split ends needed some extra leave in oil, the rest of the hair feels super silly and wonderful! What the heck?! I've been using shampoo, conditioner, and deep containers religiously for years and now this body wash makes my hair feel just as wonderful?! I'm shook. The first ingredient is soy bean oil, which is a great sealant, and the second is a sulphate (a gentler one than SLS, but still a sulphate). The third ingredient is castor oil, which is great for hair growth, to thicken hair, and as a sealant. When I pass this off to my SO I think I'll try my luck with L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil because almond oil is normally great with my hair, and the product seems to otherwise have a similar composition as the Nivea one. As for using it for the body - as intended - it's alright. I've very dry body skin and it was a bit better than regular shower washes but not amazing. On my face, where I'm more normal/slightly dry, it was quite good but I do prefer Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Esho- Drench

on 10/16/2017 5:22:00 AM

I had high hopes for this product since i suffer from really dry lips. The company claims, that it would not simply cover your problems with oils and waxes but - instead- do something senseful to your lips.
However, the product does not do anything good for my lips. It dried them out terribly. Plus, the smell and taste is so overwhelmingly sweet that its hard to keep it on. Also the main ingredients are waxes and oils, i dont really see a gamechanger here in terms of a brand new concept for lip hydration.
Be warned, the product contains glucose and fructose which are both teeth harming sugar versions. You do NOT want to sleep with this balm close to your teeth.
The texture and packaging are really nice, it reminds me of a Clarins balm i once had.
I can NOT recommend this. It does not help, it makes things worse!
(I like Sculpt though!)

Lip Treatments -Deciem - ESHO - Sculpt

on 10/16/2017 5:13:00 AM

I ordered the Esho Line within 8 hours after its release. I really liked the packaging and the whole idea. Yet- i was a bit scared of Sculpt since it contains a hell lot of irritants.
I used it several times now, but only on the top lip. It has a runny texture and tasted a bit minty.
At first, it stung alot!! Be warned. I felt the urge to whipe it off.
But than i saw a swollen slightly more red lip. I liked the effekt. A couple days later, i did not feel any stinging at all anymore. It seems like my lips got used to the torture.
I just enjoy a plumping effekt that lasts for a few hours. I really like this little devilish tube! Also the guava taste and smell is not overwhelming.
(I am very disappinted with Drench, cause the taste is terribly sweet and it actualy contains glucose and fructose which you do not want to carry close to yours teeth!!! As far as i have seen it, my sculpt version does not contain these ingredients.)

Mascara -Essence - Volume Stylist 18H Curl & Hold Mascara

on 10/16/2017 4:36:00 AM

After being disappointed with YSL Shock mascara, I decided to buy a real cheap one. So I crossed to the other end and bought this cheap, not so luxurious looking tube. But the mascara is a pretty good one. It intensifies my lashes and it stays put.
Good curl and volume. It is not clumpy but it is not the smoothest formula I've ever used. I honestly cannot expect more from a really cheap mascara. I like it!

Lipstick -Max Factor - Colour Elixir Lipstick

on 10/16/2017 3:19:00 AM

This is for the shade English Rose. I just love this rose shade. Perfect for everyday or night outs, it comes with a frost finish and leaves your lips moisturized. It's stays for a few hours since it has good pigmentation but as we all know, after an oily meal, reapplying is necessary. I know some might think such a shade is good enough for older generations, but I think that's just not true.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Studio Mineral Infused Mascara

on 10/16/2017 2:34:00 AM

This product is now essentially discontinued, much to my dismay (and probably others). I've used this mascara for 5 years or so now, but it's time to find a new HG. As of 2017, this mascara now comes in a new formula. This formula change took a mascara that once was not too wet and not too dry and turned it into a wet, gooey mess. It is truly mystifying that they thought this resinous paste was acceptable for mascara, nevermind being worthy of replacing a great formula. The brush is also different, no longer a silicone rubber brush that was great for an even application of product and separating the lashes. Now, it is a more typical nylon bristle brush that unfortunately promotes further clumping. At least the price hasn't gone up, although if you factor in how horrible this stuff is, $3 is still too much. - 1 point for clumpy, heavy formula, - 1 point for poor brush.

Treatments (Face) -Unlisted Brand - MOOM Nourishing Botanical Hair Remover

on 10/16/2017 2:33:00 AM

I spend so much money getting my upper lip and eyebrows waxed every 3 weeks and decided I should try it for myself, my esthetican reccomend moom for my sensitive skin as I had horrible results from veet, and I ordered off Amazon because I couldn't find it in my town. My esthetican told me the steps, wash area first, put sugar on thin, and remove with skin taut and in opposite direction of growth and I had amazing results, with zero redness, irritation and it removed even the finest hair off my lip. 10/10

Cleansers -Garnier - The Gentle Sulfate Free Cleanser

on 10/16/2017 2:07:00 AM

This stuff is the! I have skin that is extremely prone to break out and I admittingly tend to wear too much foundation. This cleaner removes most of my face makeup (I follow with a toner regardless) and never causes me to break out. My skin is left feeling very clean, but not dry.
The packaging and price is great. You get a lot for your money and it comes in a pump which is super convenient. No cons whatsoever. I will definitely be repurchasing because I can safely say I have found my HG cleanser.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Attar Bazaar - African Violet

At first it was a bit shrill, but it mellowed into a pleasant violets-dredged-in-powdered-sugar scent.
