Foundations -Too Faced - Born This Way Foundation

Finish - Natural, neither too dewy nor too matte.

Coverage - Medium

Staying power - Poor. After just a few hours, the foundation breaks up and looks patchy. Also made me look oily. Some parts had started to fade leading to little to no coverage.

Would not repurchase nor recommend.

Palettes -Too Faced - Natural Eyes

foto

3.5 stars. The palette is smaller than I expected, and the eyeshadows are mini sized . The matte shades are chalky . My favorite shades are the shimmer and sparkle ones. You need to wear a primer with these or they will not go on very pigmented. Chocolate martini , push up, and erotica are my favorite . I wish too faced sold single eyeshadows since I only like a few in this palette. Will not repurchase.

i love this mascara so much.
ive used a few mascaras in my time but i routinely come back to this one for several reasons. first of all this mascara is ridiculously lengthening, i naturally have rather short stubby lashes but with this my eyelashes look long and gorgeous. second of all the mascara wand is incredible, i even saved the wand from my last one because if its amazing ability to break up clumps. lastly it doesn't generally move from your lashes throughout the day meaning you wont have mascara flakes all over your cheeks by the time noon roles around. i also love the classic black look you get with this mascara, i feel its flattering on anyone ive seen wear this mascara. my only potential negative is that i wouldn't say it looks super natural, so if that's something your going for thus might not be the thing for you.
so in conclusion:
pros
-lengthening
-non flaky
-amazing mascara wand that breaks up clumps
-long lasting
-classic black colour

cons
-not super natural looking

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Ultra HD Foundation

Finish - Natural. Neither too dewy nor matte. It definitely blends well and looks very beautiful.

Coverage- Light-Medium. This would not completely cover acne/hyperpigmentation and dark scars but gives enough of a coverage to even out skin tone and moderately cover acne.

Staying Power- poor. By the end of my 8 hour work-day, this foundation had just faded off my skin, even with a primer underneath. I don't have especially oily skin either. I have combination skin (oily in the t-zone, leans towards dry everywhere else).

Good on acne-prone skin: This foundation didn't break me out or irritate my skin.

Because of the poor staying power, I would not repurchase. I actually just ended up returning mine to Sephora because I found it just too average of a foundation for its hefty price.

Loose Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Oil-Control Loose Powder

Shade: 01 Light
Foundation Shade: NC15

After years, I have finally managed to use up this product! I think this is a pretty average powder. It does work very well for controlling my oil, so I'll give it that. It also is not translucent so you can definitely use it on top of your bronzer or blush if you feel like you were too heavy handed with them.
The only downside is that it does look quite powdery when I apply this onto my skin. Also the packaging is a bit bulky, and the lid comes off very easily. Definitely not a powder for traveling.

Blush -Glossier - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color

Quite literally the best cream blusher I've ever used, I own every color (one for every mood??). I use Dusk for when I'm tanner and want a more natural look, Puff when I'm going for a more bubblegum look, Beam when I want to look peachy and glowy, and Haze for my more berry themed looks. It's quite easy to blend, and a little goes a VERY long way. It dries down to a satin-y finish, which is great for my oily skin. Doesn't wear off, doesn't become blotchy, overall, a great cream blusher. Use my link for 10% off!! You're welcome :) http://bff.glossier.com/gIzZ3

Lips -Glossier - Generation G

absolutely adore this lip product! I bought the shade "Crush" & it's the perfect pink. If I dab it on, it's a very natural pink color that really gives my face some life. If I apply it like a normal lipstick, it's a beautiful sheer red that looks amazing with a nice gloss. I normally wear it with a natural pinky lip liner, and "Crush" over top. I do plan on getting the rest of the shades very soon, especially "Jam" & "Cake." I adore Glossier and their whole line, the packaging is so nice & their overall aesthetic is so cute. The only drawback is the price, but I do have a link for 20% off your next purchase! :) http://bff.glossier.com/gIzZ3

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Irresistible Me Hair Extensions

on 10/18/2017 6:44:00 PM

I had purchased some irresistible me extensions back in 2012 and thought they were genuinely the best extensions I ever bought, and the quad weft was a wonderful addition, so when I was looking for where to buy extensions about a month ago, I thought I would buy some from them again. I purchased there 18 inches 200 gram set In 613 platinum blonde, On the tester strand, it was not even close to platinum blonde, more of a golden light blonde, platinum is usually cool tones not golden and warm. I was in dire need of extensions so I thought I could make it work. The color is the least of the problems at this point, I received them 1 week ago, I have worn them twice and the clips are falling off on a few wefts, and the hair is too thin!!!! I understand that the silky touchline is thinner at the ends and that is okay with me, and I had used them before and it was perfectly fine with the 140G set back in 2012, so now I get an even heavier set and its like string on the ends?? I paid $220 Canadian for this and I'm extremely sad about it, I have had 120g sets that had better and thicker ends at a longer length, I don't know what the hell this is. I really wish I could return it but its too late now, the quality has gone downhill for sure.

Foundations -Deciem - The Ordinary Serum Foundation

First I have to say how much I LOVE the Deciem skin care products. Since I started using them a few months ago my skin has improved a ton, in texture, comfort, and yes, it even glows! My hopes were up when I ordered the foundation! Alas, I was sorely disappointed. The whole range was too yellow for my skin. The coverage was ok but not the smoothest I've ever tried. Without a Beauty Blender it was much more uneven than most—leaning toward a mini relief map look.

Blush -Essence - Satin Touch Blush

Just bought this and it truly is a dupe for Tarte’s Exposed! BUT, for my mature skin the formula is MUCH better! Exposed to me is very dry and chalky, but that’s what clay based products are. Great for oily skins, but drier skins, not so much. The formula is very silky with a lovely satin finish that applies beautifully. This color #20 Satin Love, like Exposed, will look great on most all light to medium skin tones. Awesome find!

Treatments (Face) -Vichy - Idealia Night Peeling

on 10/18/2017 5:28:00 PM

foto

I bought this product on a whim while looking for a face scrub, but I am so happy I did. I had previously sworn off products from Vichy as I just found them heavily perfumed and not particularly good but to be honest I was attracted to the packaging of this product and to its new and different concept. A peeling that is used as some sort of serum to be applied with a cotton pad?
At over 30 euros, it is not exactly a cheap product but it is worth the price tag if you have a busy life and don't have the time or are not willing to invest in frequent facials at the salon. I do think that this product makes my skin more even and my pores look smaller. I love that this product is so easy to use and so easy to incorporate in my nightly routine even when I'm feeling tired or lazy. After applying to a clean face with a cotton pad I do feel my skin lightly tingling for a few minutes. This is not an uncomfortable feeling though, just very light. My skin doesn't react badly to this product at all.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Hydrating Caramel Balm

This caramel lip balm cost $18 , and it is so small ! Way over priced . It claims to smell like caramel, but it smells more like cotton candy, which is very disappointing. Yeah it makes my lips somewhat soft, but chapstick does the same thing. Will not repurchase, not worth it.

Treatments (Face) -Mad Hippie - Exfoliating Serum

First off, I have only used this for a short amount of time, and it's been from samples. (I scored a couple generous ones at a local store.) I'm a fan of natural ingredients, and that this promises exfoliation, well, it drew me right in.

I was surprised how quickly I like this product, though. It is steep, at around $34.99, but what it's done for me in a short amount of time has amazed me. I have normal 40-something skin with some acne scars and the odd breakout. I've been using a Receutics (Rite Aid brand) product loaded with niacinamide for dark spots, and that's been working great, but I've had a slow-healing breakout or reaction of some sort (that I sometimes fiddle with, which of course slows the healing even more) and the skin is raised and dry and it's been driving me nuts. I've tried rosehip oil, band-aids, coconut oil, ignoring it, Neosporin, aloe vera gel, and so on. Nothing has helped. Then I tried this, slathering it on one night a few hours before bed. (It's a mild to unscented gel-like formula that stings lightly for a few seconds, and only sometimes it stings, and it absorbs or sets fast so my face doesn't feel coated or sticky.) Then right before bed I applied a bit more. I did it again in the morning, and applied a couple more times throughout the day to that bad spot. And in just a couple days that area looks so much better and the skin is smoothing out. The rest of my face looks smoother, too, with just a touch more glow, but I am loving that this patchy, raised, irritated spot is finally less obvious and feels better, too.

Needless to say, this stuff is on my shopping list.
