BB Cream -It Cosmetics -Your Skin But Better SPF 50 CC Cream

The perfect cc cream if you like a medium coverage. The texture is great and I like how it absorbs to my skin, I use a beauty blender. It really gives me that dewy skin look and it makes my face not more oily as it already is which I cannot say about other cc creams I have tried. Perfect Color match too! I use a translucent powder to finish the look and setting spray. But it’s not all day lasting, after a long day, it seems that the cc cream has partly „faded“.

Best powder foundation ever! I have very oily skin, therefore I‘m always for the lookout for the perfect powder foundation. Liquid foundation is a no-go for me even though I like a full coverage. For the past years, I have been using MAC, Laura Mercier and Make Up Forever. None of them worked for me anymore, neither texture nor color. It cosmetics celebration gives me a full coverage, it matches my skin tone 90% and I don‘t need my concealer anymore. I use fixing spray to set my foundation, like that my foundation won‘t turn cakey and lasts the whole day!

Sunscreen -Josie Maran Cosmetics -Protect Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil infused Sunscreen

on 7/18/2018 7:41:00 PM

I have dry cheeks and some minor oil in my t-zone for summer and I found this SPF to feel disgusting. It was heavy, sticky and never dried. Does have a white cast that you have to work into your skin but it eventually lessens unlike the feel of this sunscreen. It also worked poorly with any foundation I tried to layer over it causing oxidation, separation and patchiness.

In addition the pump on this bottle takes forever to get the recommended amount. I like pumps like everyone else but this should come with a better pump for the thick sunscreen. I tried to use it on my dry arms and hands but who has 30 minutes to pump out sunscreen?

Has a natural nonscent so a plus there. I might keep for deepest winter. That's the only time I could see using this. But If you have very dry skin, this is for you.

Finally a CC cream with good coverage and good SPF. I use this in the summer instead of my Estee Lauder Doublewear light. Applies easily with fingers, and I don't have to bother with a beautyblender as it applies nicely. Good to take on vacation when you don't want a fussy foundation. Buildable, medium to full coverage. Dewy look, needs setting in my T-zone with translucent powder to avoid settling into lines. I don't use it around my eyes though - I stick to my eye concealer for that. It tends to lift a little on my chin and nose by partway through the day, so I find a little pat with powder or a powder foundation in those areas helps it stay all day. I just pat my chin and nose with my MAC powder foundation and it works great. Because it is medium to full coverage, I do follow up with a full face of eye makeup, bronzer or blush and a lip product to give me definition.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand -Treat Beauty Toffee Jumbo Organic Lip Balm

on 7/18/2018 7:30:00 PM

foto

I'm a massive lip product junkie and I've always wanted to try Treat's products. Toffee caught my eye and I read a lot of favorable reviews on it so I gave it a shot.
This is supposedly one of the stronger smelling balms. I've read lots of reviews saying that other scents don't have much smell to them at all. Well I could smell this as soon as I opened the cute little pink plastic bag it came nestled in. Its a realistic, mouthwatering toffee flavor, sooo good and makes me sooo happy.
It moisturizes great thanks to coconut oil, beeswax and cocoa butter.
These are organic, cruelty free, and ginormous with half an ounce of product. Shipping from the website was extremely fast, it only took two days.
There is a strong taste of Stevia so I took a point off. The price could be cheaper too, they're $14 each. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick is a dupe for this and it's a quarter of the price. Will this stop me from purchasing more of these lip balms in the future? Nope.

Mascara -Clinique -Lash Power Flutter-to-Full

Loved it, SO SAD IS IS DISCONTINUED! Was more buildable than the regular lash power and didn't flake as much as Estee Lauder or Blinc on me. Now that it's gone I'll have to go back to my Loreal Double Extend I guess. Boo.

Shampoo -Living Proof -Perfect hair Day (PhD)

on 7/18/2018 7:17:00 PM

I was looking to replace WEN which I have used for over 7 years, but my hair became, dry, brittle, breaking(after reading tons of reviews about hair loss, stopped use immediately).I unfortunately bought a whole bunch of LP products in May.I started developing a rash along my neck at hairline, bumps across my forehead, itchy scalp,back-,between a bad sunburn & itch.It didn't happen immediately so I didnt tie it to LP.It is the only thing that I have used differently.I really dont care for the smell at all,I agree with others that it has a chemical smell especially during exercise it activates a worse smell that made me very self conscious.I can say it improved the dryness of hair to a degree. My hair got its bounce back.I stopped using about 10 days ago, using Free & Clear shampoo & conditioner recommended by a allergy Dr.I went to a dermatologist & he referred me to the allergy Dr,neither were helpful,I have gotten better info from sites like this one(so save your money & time)I have never had any kind of allergic reaction to any products in the past.Even though it doesnt have the top " bad ingredients " well just read the ingredients, really kinda of scary, kinda got caught up in reading that it was a group of chemists trying to make a product with safer ingredients...WHAT was I thinking, guess looking for product to believe in. I think eventually it will be discovered that its all bad stuff in LP also...my opinion anyway.

Foundations -Stila -Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer

I found this at a discount store and thought I'd give it a shot. Today was the test. Used Dr. Brandt pores no more primer. Put it on 9 hours ago, and went through the entire day with 90 degree temps, a bit of gardening etc. And it looks really good still, although maybe a touch of powder is in order. What I love is the finish; very natural, but does an amazing job on my tone and a pretty big chin blemish. It really makes my skin glow (not the sparkly twilight lumescent glow - more like a demi matte dewy - not flat like other all day foundations I've tried. No oxidation that i could see. I'm a huge fan and will be looking at this product when i run out.

Polishes -OPI -Midnight in Moscow

My all time favorite OPI nail polish. Two coats and you’re good to go. It’s a dark, dark red shimmer in a black base. In the sunlight it sparkles so beautifully and indoors you can just tell that it’s red and not black. Absolutely wonderful color for fall/winter.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay -Born To Run Eye Shadow Palette

on 7/18/2018 6:52:00 PM

The Born To Run eyeshadow palette contains the following shades; BREAKAWAY (warm ivory shimmer), STRANDED (pale rose gold with tonal micro-shimmer), BLAZE (light metallic peach with pink shift), WEEKENDER (light neutral beige matte), STILL SHOT (bright peach), RIFF (brown-nude matte with floating micro-sparkle), GOOD AS GONE (deep brown with iridescent micro-shimmer), HELL RIDE (deep fuchsia matte), BAJA (burnt orange matte), ACCELERATE (reddish copper metallic), GUILT TRIP (smoky purple shimmer), IGNITE (rose gold metallic), SMOG (deep coppery bronze shimmer), WANDERLUST (forest green with gold micro-shimmer), WILDHEART (bright fuchsia), PUNK (red-brown matte), DOUBLE LIFE (metallic rust), JET (black with deep shimmering purple shift), DRIFT (charcoal satin with tonal micro-sparkle), RADIO (deep emerald satin) and BIG SKY (frosted green shimmer with iridescent micro-sparkle).

Born To Run is designed as a one-and-done palette, that is theoretically perfect for taking with you whilst traveling. It does what it's designed for well; there are highlight shades, sparkly lid shades, a variety of crease and transition shades and dark lining shades for most occasions. There are neutral shades, warm shades & cool shades, conservative work/school shades, fun weekend/free time pop-of-colour shades, smoky date night/special occasion shades and bold party-time impactful tones [I don't know why I broke the shades into groups, I wear whatever I'm feeling at the time], this palette offers it all. Very cohesive.

Ever since buying my first shadows as a 14 year old when the brand first launched in the UK, all the way up to now as a 34 year old, I can say that I have yet to find a a eyeshadow formula that can outperform the ones that Urban Decay make; buttery smooth to apply and to blend. All of the shadows are non-fading and I haven't experienced any creasing - I apply them in the morning [no primer] and they'll still look good in the evening, when I remove it. The shimmer shades have a bit more fallout in comparison to the other shadows which have very little, which isn't a big deal for me but I still thought I'd mention it. Fallout in shadows doesn't really bother me as I do my eyes before my base - all pigmented & softer shadows have fallout, so I do think that all good-quality shadows should kick-up a bit.

I can't fault the product quality or thought that went into putting this palette together. However, on the 'personal preference' side of things, I would have liked there to have been more cooler tones in place of the warm shades we've seen before elsewhere, and some of them should have been mattes - Urban Decay make shimmers that wear well in the crease, but still... It just seems like a bit of a waste to have gorgeous cool satin & shimmer shades, but not balancing them out with co-ordinating mattes. If you have a few of Urban Decay's Book Of Shadows and/or Vice palettes, I think you'll already have similar shades to the ones in Born To Run palette, so you may want to swatch this in person before buying it.

Treatments (Face) -Jurlique -Purely Age-Defying Firming And Tightening Serum

This is a great serum. I use both this one and the more expensive Jurlique Nutri-Define serum.

This fixes my skin's dry, flaky problem using a couple of pumps after cleansing. It smells good and goes on easily. It's not an oil, but rather a heavier lotion texture.

This serum doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or cause me to break out.

Treatments (Face) -Jurlique -Nutri-Define Superior Retexturising Facial Serum

on 7/18/2018 6:42:00 PM

I love this serum! My skin can tend to be dry and flaky regardless how much I moisturize or exfoliate but when I use this serum or the Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Firming And Tightening Serum my skin no longer looks dry, in fact sometimes I skip moisturizer and just use my sunscreen in the morning. I use 2 pumps of it after cleansing and the bottle lasts a long time.

This serum doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, or cause me to break out which has been a problem for me with other facial serums.

It feels heavy, looks heavy, it has distinctive makeup smell. The sponge that comes with isn't good.
It spreads easily and applies evenly but looks like a layer of makeup over the skin.

Terrible for acne-prone/combo skin. After a few hours, skin looks terrible and pores look enlarged. If you get your skin even slightly wet (rain for example), the foundation will remove.

Liquid -Clinique -BIY Blend It Yourself Pigment Drops

on 7/18/2018 6:41:00 PM

foto

This is really great to have on the shelf for the right audience but you need to learn how to use it.

**** This product is for ****

- Those who can't find the right shade tinted moisturizers or a tinted moisturizer that doesn't irritate your skin (like me!)
- Those who are picky about how a product feels on the skin and can't find the right one (like me!)
- Those who don't want to get different products for different seasons, different coverage goals. Generally or when on vacation. (like me!)

**** How to work with this ****

- Find the right moisturizer or primer! It might take some trial and error. Some moisturizers' ingredients might lead to oxidization. Some might be too thick or too liquidy. If you get a bad result the first few tries, don't give up or think it's because the pigment drops are no good.

- It's not just how much BIY drops you use, it's also how much moisturizer you use. I watched some YouTube review videos for this and in my opinion some used more moisturizer than needed. (Remember the review videos are usually the bloggers' first experience with the product. It's of course easier to make mistakes with 'customization' products at our first try.)

- MIX WELL. When we use liquid foundations, we are always told to "shake well." The same applies to this. I suggest mixing with the moisturizer on something that won't soak in the product. Not your skin basically. Anything else, including a plate would work.

- Don't stay limited to Clinique's suggestion like "1 drop for this, 2 drops for this." You might do fine with less than half a drop, you might get better result with more than what Clinique suggests. It depends on what kind of coverage you like, your skin tone, and your moisturizer.

**** Potential bad side ****

The undertone thing. If you're going for sheer-medium coverage, because you use a small amount for that, there's no problem about the undertones. But if you're going for full coverage and you have pink undertones, you will probably not get the rosey finish you would prefer. I've used a few different Clinique foundations and found the lightest shades for cool undertones still have a more neutral-undertone finish. The same happens with BIY.

**** Bonus good side ****

Clinique products are generally suitable for sensitive skin. I had no irritation, no pimple.. no problem with this.
