Usually when reviews go "do not buy this!!" I typically overlook them or find their experiences to be too exclusive to the writer's own skin type/routine. However I 100% recommend avoiding this product. The watering down of tea tree oil, the inclusion of potentially irritating ingredients which may damage your skin in the future (check the ingredients on cosDNA and you'll see what I mean) and the ridiculous price!! I've used this over the course of this year, when first properly getting into skincare to now and in general, most Body Shop skincare products are ridiculously overpriced and mis-sold. My skin is not terribly oily nor do I get too many blemishes but this really did nothing. I thought I got it wrong or maybe it did help the few times spots would go down, but I realize now that's due to other parts of my routine. If this were cheap, I wouldn't be so annoyed but DON'T BUY THIS. Buy neat 100% tea tree oil and use it lightly. You will see results at 1/10th of the price. Such a waste of money and I'm actually so infuriated that Body Shop sells this as tea tree oil, then you check the ingredients and see that most of the other ingredients don't even serve to stabilise the product or preserve it and the majority of additional ingredients simply damage skin. For example, the inclusion of citral and limonene for perfume and the inclusion of alcohol - I know there is debate about how damaging alcohol can be in skincare, but for a company who care so much about their customers (supposedly), the variety of ingredients simply damage skin in the long run.To add insult to injury, the packaging is pretty rubbish and makes it hard to control how much of the over-priced and watered-down product you can use. Do not buy this.

I've been using this product since The Body Shop launched this line. This has come to be my HG product and I don't have many of those. I started off using TBS products when I lived in London and experienced unexpected dryness and flakiness to my skin. Since 2005, I've gone from using the original Aloe line, to the Soothing Aloe line, to the Vitamin E line to this one. I think all of TBS moisture creams are exceptional but this one is my fave. I love the scent, the feel, the viscosity. I used to use the day cream as well but I end up just adding a sun screen to the night cream for mornings because it just feels better to me, less runny. The price for me is on the expensive side but that's only because I'm not one to buy luxury beauty products. Compared to other brands though, this is very affordable. I usually always wait for deals which happen often at The Body Shop or find what I need on eBay. In other words, I've never paid retail price and neither should you if you know how to bargain shop. I've been somewhat interested in finding a better night cream than this but based on the reviews I've read of other products, I actually feel lucky to have found this. And on top of that the formula has stayed the same since it first stated using it. I couldn't recommend this more highly.

So my tube says "Aloe Instant Soothing Rescue Gel" on it and is a tube with a pump on one end. This one is formulated for the face although they do make a face and body version with a flip top that I have not reviewed yet. This is a great product when I have no idea what to use on my face. Maybe I have a breakout or sensitivity and just don't want to irritate my skin with just using acne products or dry it out by using nothing so I use this. I know I won't have a bad reaction, it will not cause a breakout and it's just a safe skin option for me. Is this anything special? No not really, I don't get bright even skin like I do with vitamin c serums or the softness I can get with well made masks but this is a wonderful product to have around when you just don't know what to do with your skin that day/night. It won't make your skin oily, won't dry you out, it's a great product for all skin types. 4.5 and would repurchase.

I use this as a primer and it is okay. I wouldn't be using this as my main moisturizer, as I find it not that hydrating. However, under make-up, it does wonders. It creates a little bit of sticky layer so the foundation layers really well on it. The price is nice, but I don't love the packaging. The pot that (now) it comes in it's not that hygienic. I don't know if I'll buy this again, we'll see. But if you're in need for a primer for oily skin, that layers beautifully and does control the oils through the day, this one is a nice catch.

I bought this at a sale hoping it would be a natural coconut smell. I also kind of like that suntan lotion smell with a hint of coconut, but the scent for this lotion falls flat. It smells synthetic and like play-doh. I was taken aback by this unpleasant scent, but I do not like to waste product, so I am almost finished with this. I haven't changed my mind about it and won't be repurchasing. I also think that the jar packaging harbors bacteria and is a bit of an annoyance to use. The product itself has a strange texture. It gets kind of lumpy and doesn't melt on the skin and takes a bit of rubbing. A body "butter" should actually resemble butter...at least I think so. It helps to rub the product between the palms to warm it up. It also doesn't moisturize incredibly well for the price, so I think there are way better options out there.

This reminds me a lot of MAC Mineralize compact foundation. However I rate this one higher becuase it has a better coverage. Just like MAC one, this also needs to be set with powder. I wear MAC NC 15 and with this I wear 102 Natural Ivory. I would also only recommend this one if you dont have a lot of imperfections and if you have a very dry skin type. Compared to MAC Studio Tech this one has much less coverage and Studio Tech as a foundation, this being more as a tinted moisturizer. Just for comparision Also the ELF stick foundations offer more coverage and are drier and less oily than this.

Packaging is practical (as well as the size for purse/bags) and the company is cruelty free but I think that's where the pros end for me. I don't hate the scent as much as other reviewers do (it smells similar but not the same as original Oil of Olay moisturizer) but what really bothers me is how it dries down. It leaves my hands feeling tacky/sticky and that is a huge dealbreaker for me. Out of principle, I will finish the product but never purchasing again. In fact, if you have access to Trader Joe's, their house brand travel hand cream is only $1.99 and way better than this (and it's unscented).

Good moisturizing but it stings your face a lot in areas that are not too oily. Just use in your oily spots and you're good to go.

This is my first time using an alcohol-free toner, but dammit it burns a lot! It claims to be a toner for oily and combination, but I feel like it dries my skin too much. Using this together with the mattifying day cream only irritate my skin. I feel like it will be better if you only use it in oily spots not throughout the whole face.

Adore the smell and texture on application. . It feels nutritious, can't say I look any younger but then I don't believe that's possible from a cream. A great winter cream .

This smells so good, one of my favorite scents. It's a great body butter as well, leaves my skin baby soft and moisturized. I use it in the summer after a day out in the sun and in the winter for deep hydration and a scent pick me up. Actually, I love it year round haha

I am really impressed with this one! I got mine in the shade 050 Sicily Amber, and I love how it is almost really an exact match to my skin tone. I'm also an NC35 on MAC. I'm always concerned about how dull some foundations can make my skin, afraid it'll grey out my face or appear cakey, but this foundation does none of that nasty things. In fact, it gives my face a very natural look and a pink undertone. And I am really anal about foundations not looking too light on my face, so this was really perfect, really caught me off guard. It's also really light on my skin - it's like a second skin, smells wonderful, easy to apply and gives me a rather dewy finish so I feel my face GLOWWWWWWW. I use either a beauty blender or Sigma's buffing brush, both are fine babies to use really. I don't see the need to set it, but I still do, because I have combination skin - dry at my cheeks and often oily at the tzone so I only set on the areas I expect to get really oily later on in the day. But overall, I love this so much, I hope they continue this line forever and I think for the price (cheaper than Colorstay!!! And L'Oréal true match!!!!) it's really worth it. I love that it has helped me in making foundation application so easy. 5 stars!!!!
