Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop - DROPS OF YOUTH Youth Liquid Peel

Bought this after reading all the previous raves in makeupalley.

My skin definitely loves this product and I've been using this for a couple of weeks now to give a reliable opinion. It has improved my skin ever since the first time. My skin used to have this bumpy texture even though I constantly exfoliate using konjac sponge. After using it only once, it gives my skin instantly this plump effect, my skin feels squeaky clean as if it's been in a spa treatment. And it gives it this dewy glowing skin, diminish ageing marks and overall just feels great.

The price is 25€ but one pump is enough for one application. I consider this to be more effective than exfoliation and even mud mask! As this does the trick in a couple of seconds, whereas mask would take 15 minutes of pampering.

I'm now planning to buy drops of youth essence lotion so that I can use it alongside the liquid peel.

Even though I've enjoyed using this so far, I still wouldn't buy this next time when this runs out. Their version of vitamin C liquid peel now interests me more since I'm always drawn to vitamin C skincare products (especially those by lumene), or better still if the body shop comes up with vitamin E liquid peel since I've been enjoying their vitamin E face cream very much.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Aloe Soothing Day Cream

I have combo skin right now but my t-zone is very oily and I am quite prone to acne. This cream was way too much for my skin. Despite a texture that seems very thin this left my skin so greasy and shiny that is wasn't even tolerable on a day off or night use. Did not break me out at all. Would be a lovely product for someone with very dry skin. Would not repurchase.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

Love this cleanser so much - I actually get excited about using it each night. I use it as a first cleanse to get all my make up off (yes, even all the mascara - dissolves it instantly and doesn't sting eyes). This is super cheap, and if you sign up for Bodyshop emails you regularly get discount codes which make it a steal. I heard about it on Caroline Hirons / Sali Hughes video as being a dupe for Clinique 'Take the Day Off'. Love it. At such a cheap price you should just get it and try it out. Winner.

Skincare - Face -The Body Shop - Vitamin e serum in oil

I have only started using this the past week after being told how amazing it was for dry skin.
The bottle comes with a cute pipette and you literally only need a drop or two on your face so I can see this product lasting a good while. It was £16 but I got 30% student discount which is brilliant, it is definitely worth the money.

I seen results literally the morning after I started to use this oil. My skin is looking the best it has in ages, no more dry patches. Would definitely recommend!

For someone who has combination skin, this is amazing. It is not a heavy oil and it definitely makes a noticeable difference from the first use. What I like best is that you can out makeup on top so if your skin really needs moisture you can use it in the morning as well.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil

I have been using tea tree oil for quite some time but found this product dried out my acne too much. It was often redder and peeling after, and made the healing time extended. I dissolute it like I had read but believe it's too strong for my skin at least. I like body shop but this product wasn't for me.

Blush -The Body Shop - Lip & Cheek Stain - 01 Rose Pink

when i knew that emma watson liked this lip stain i bought it literally on impulse. the color i had is red pomegranate and im thinking of buying the shade dusty rose. i think its better than benefit's benetint, but not better than korean lip tints. i still cant put this down because the color really suits me; it makes me look fresher overall. i used it as a cheek tint several times, though i had no issues with the longetivity, i dont like how i had to blend them out in a hurry. it sets really quickly. and i like the old packaging better, but this is also okay.

i used this when i was 13 (when acne did a flashmob all over my face). i dont think it helped at all. probably because of my skin coz i used another cream called oxy 10 and although everyone said that cream clears everything up, i see no difference using it.

Liquid -The Body Shop - Fresh Nude Foundation

this did not break me out, and the packaging makes it more hygenic than other foundations (unlike maybelline fit me where i had to tip the whole bottle over). i had this in the shade Kyoto Blossom and it did not oxidise. its not full coverage and definitely pricier than what I would pay for, but it did its job in covering the redness and some acne scars i have. under dim lighting it made me look more flawless. would repurchase if i havent found a better alternative that does not break me out.

I have recently switched to cruelty free and wanted a foundation with less junk in it. According to The Body Shop, they don't make an ultra long wearing foundation or matte formula because they need a lot of additives to get it to perform that way. I don't know how true that is, but it's true that I've personally never found a naturally based foundation that dries matte or claims to be 24 hour.

This is not my usual type of foundation. I have an oily tzone that happily breaks down Estee Lauder's double wear so longevity is not something I can get out of this product in its natural state. It also contains oil and aloe vera, both of which are a part of their community trade programme. I love that. There's also no parabens or mineral oil or gluten which is a plus.

The foundation is so so beautiful. It's totally buildable and sits really well on my skin. I have purchased enough to use on clients and it's so flattering on everyone. With a setting spray it lasts an average day on me, or else I touch up with their cushion foundation. That works really well for me just to absorb excess oil. If you have normal to dry skin then I can't see you having an issue keeping this on all day. I get so many compliments when I wear this. It covers my skin texture effectively but looks so fresh and vibrant. I'm happy to have touch ups if it means not using something akin to wall paint on my skin. I find this versatile and the colour range is excellent, one of the best ranges in New Zealand. It's not too dewy or too matte. Just perfectly in between, healthy and radiant. I have repurchased my shade twice now and I consistently love it and feel like I can't go wrong

Bath Treatments -The Body Shop - Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk

on 5/13/2017 9:06:00 AM

New line which replaces the Honeymania range. It's gorgeous - nourishing, hydrating and smells lovely. A bath with this stuff leaves your skin soft and smelling great. Especially when used with the shower cream. It's meant to for aging skin, but it benefits anyone who wants softer skin. A worthy successor to the Honeymania range (which has been discontinued) I kind of feel like this is TBS taking on L'Occitane - by creating a 'high street' affordable version of its almond range. It's not quite as good as L'Occitane, but it comes a very close second or third. A great alternative for when you can't afford anything more expensive.
TBS *always* has skincare deals and coupons so it's rare to ever pay full price for products. If you're canny and do a big shop using points/coupons/2 for 1 deals you can come out TBS with about 6 months' worth of products for a fraction of the RRP.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Honeymania Shower Gel

A sweet-smelling, hydrating shower gel for general everyday use. Skin always feels great after use. It's a real shame TBS has discontinued the Honeymania range. I'm a big fan of the shower gel, bath melt and the exfoliator. I use this when I'm not feeling flush enough to splash out on more expensive shower oils. TBS *always* has skincare deals and coupons so it's rare to ever pay full price for products (excl. new lines).
