It's not waterproof, not smudgeproof, and the brush is so thick it's impossible to get nice, sharp wings without using a different brush. Wish I never bought this.

Liquid -Maybelline - FIT Me Foundation (Matte + Poreless)

This is a great bargain buy. I started using this when I was in between jobs and couldn't afford expensive make up at the time. With a good moisturizer/primer, this does give you great buildable coverage. I did feel like the wear wasn't as long as I would've liked it to be, I felt after about 4 hours it would start to move around on my face and crease pretty badly under my eyes and my dimples. I did like that I could easily mix this with another foundation if my skin happened to be more or less tan that week. Overall a good bargain and pretty versatile, but not something I'd go out of my way to purchase again.

In a nutshell: it's far too wet, the brush is too big, you can't blink without it smudging on your lower and upper eye area, and it gives a spider-leg looking lash.

I've given this product several tries throughout the years and each time I have been extremely disappointed. I don't even end up using the darn thing halfway before I have to throw it away. It dries out super quick, it's hard to work with, and you have to layer it in order to get an opaque wing. I don't know why I keep repurchasing; I think I do because each time I think I've gotten a bad batch but it's just a sucky product. I love everything else that I've tried from the Maybelline line but this eyeliner just SUCKS! Do not recommend it. If you want a good drugstore gel liner I recommend going with L'Oréal.

I'll make this short.
I don't write reviews often because I have to use many products but i thought I'd try this on a whim.

Broke me out BADLY in the first week of use. Literally overnight. Nothing about my diet, sleep, hormones.. etc. had changed that week and this really bothered my skin.

I don't get many breakouts and on the 6th day of using this I woke up with 6-7 cystic pimples.

On top of that, it's greasy, doesn't help with pores in my opinion (if anything, made mine larger because my skin was irritated)

Don't use

Palettes -Maybelline - The Blushed Nudes

Not worth the money! The colours look very pretty in the box but that's it - the pigmentation is so bad/weak that unless you apply a cream eye-shadow first, they barely show, even with multiple layers. I also bought "The Nudes" and they are just as bad. I tried using the lighter shades as a highlighter but they didn't work. The worst palette I've ever bought.

I'm not sure how relevant this review is as I have never used this product as an eyeshadow...but I LOVE it!

I use this amazing leather effect eyeshadow putty in 96 chocolate suede to fill in my eyebrows regularly, and take off the sheen by applying a Matte eyeshadow on top.

It's easy to apply, strongly pigmented and there's a lot of product in each little jar. Incredibly good value considering I bought mine form the pound shop! I also found it in shade number 15 endless purple, and it worked fantastically on my brows AND my lips...where it lasted for a couple of hours of eating and drinking before I needed to re-apply it.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Colorshow eyeshadow 43 gold fever

on 9/16/2017 8:44:00 AM

I bought this eyeshadow in the 3 shades they had available in cosmetics fairy-
43 ' gold fever,' (which I'm reviewing here), a soft gold shimmer.
38 'silver oyster' a metallic pewter grey.
40 'uptown bronze' which looks like a metallic khaki in the pan.

Based on my experience with 'gold fever' I am really looking forward to trying the other two, as it had a nice shimmery blendable consistency with a fair amount of pigment.

A friend, who was applying my makeup at the time used it over gold eyeliner, which she used to prime my eyelid and create a halo eye effect, with the eyeshadow on top. She seemed to think it was fit for purpose, but the real test is of course to use it wet, and it works BRILLIANTLY!

The wet brush picks up loads of pigment, with just a couple of strokes of and transfers smooth shimmering colour onto the skin with minimal effort. I can't wait to play with these eyeshadows some more!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Colorshow eyeshadow in 30 disco purple

on 9/16/2017 8:28:00 AM

This eyeshadow looks incredibly alluring and shiny in the pan...all metallic lilac sparkle and glittery texture.

However, the formula is very much the consistency of children's makeup. It's sticky, greasy hard to move around on the eyelid, lacks pigment and basically disappears to a very slight silver shimmer once it is applied. You can feel it more than you can see it when it's on.

You could probably prime your eyelids with it under shimmer eyeshadows, or maybe use it to highlight cheekbones. It looks so delicious I can't actually bring myself to admit that it's totally useless and throw it away...

It features, albeit briefly in my mermaid Halloween makeup tutorial on YouTube

Bought this based on the reviews I've read. It's a good product. I don't say great, and took off one lippie because it still creases on me. My eyelids get super oily though.

I'm also not a fan of how the colour looks on me, which is a shame. It's a very pretty shade, it just doesn't complement me. But I've seen many others rocking the color!

Lipstick -Maybelline - Matte Metallics-Molten Bronze

on 9/15/2017 8:17:00 PM

For me, this lipstick is a dark plum with a a green sparkly sheen dusted over top of it. It applies a bit patchy but as previously mentioned, is totally worth the small fuss. It has a very 90s nostalgia to it and I'm absolutely in love. As it wears off, it leaves behind a pretty berry stain. Obsessed for sure.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express Mascara

The only way for a mascara to work for me is if I curl my lashes previously, otherwise the mascara won't make a difference to them. That being said, this mascara didn't do anything for my lashes after I curled them. It didn't hold the curl, nor did it give volume to them. It looked as if I had just placed water on my lashes. At this point, after trying various types and brands of mascaras, I think that only the waterproof ones work for me. So far the only types of mascara that were able to hold my curls and make a huge difference on my eyelashes were the waterproof ones. This one specifically didn't make any difference on my eyelashes. It looked just as if my lashes didn't have anything on.

I really like this concealer. When I first apply it and start to blend, it seems a bit patchy and dry, but when it melts into the skin it looks really nice and smooth! It also looks very natural, just like skin, but manages to cover up dark circles and really brighten the under-eye area. It also doesn't crease much even when I don't set it with powder, it still looks good even after a few hours. The consistency is a bit thicker, but it never looks cakey. I also noticed I blend it best with my ring finger. It's a bit harder to blend with a sponge and I never tried it with a brush.

Pros:
- Gives good coverage
- It blends super quick
- It looks like skin
- You only need a bit
Cons:
- The packaging is just weird and kind of annoying

BTW: This is soo much better than the Maybelline fit me concealer. This one gives way more coverage and looks so much better on the skin!
