A very good solution for those wanting warm but not orange. Buildable color, good for many skin tones.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

I love Clinique!!! This cream is really nice!! It’s great for my dry face skin, I even use it on a scar I have. However, if I put this on my face and try to put foundation over it, it pills. It’s Clinique’s even better foundation. Still balls up. Not sure how I can get past that. Either way, still a solid face cream at night :)

Edit:
Nope. My skin is not hydrated from this. In fact, I think my skin has got worse...

This product cannot be applied under makeup. It pills. This product has so much silicone in it I even got a few zits (I never get zits).

The best thing that ever happened to my winter dry skin is SWEET ALMOND OIL. For many reasons.

But this moisturizer... no good.

Lip Gloss -Clinique -Marimekko x Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss

I picked up the Clinique x Marimekko Pop Splash Lip Glass in Espresso Pop which is a dark mauvish brown color. Of course once it applied the color is less dark and opaque since it's a gloss. The formula is wonderful because it is non-sticky and doesn't have much of a taste to it. It does transfer because it is a lip gloss, and it fades quite evenly and afterwards leaves lips feeling moisturized. I like to layer this over some of my matte dark lipsticks on days when my lips are feeling overly dry and can't quite handle a matte lipstick very well. This works great for that or just adding a pop of shine and color. My more detailed review and swatches can be seen here:

Sunscreen -Clinique -Super City Block SPF 40

foto

Just ordered my second tube. I've been on the lookout for a good sunscreen that doesn't cause shininess or sting my eyes that's also affordable. This fits the bill. I had been using Obagi matte sunscreen and found it inconvenient to order and expensive. I like the way this smooths my skin and looks under my cc cream while providing sun protection. Will continue to use. Buying during bonus time is an additional perk.

Masks -Clinique - Turnaround Revitalizing Instant Facial

Clinique is skincare’s fast food. Should your skin need anything special you won’t find it there. Such a bore of products!

Masks -Clinique - Turnaround Revitalizing Instant Facial

I purchased this because I have loved every single product in the Turnaround Revitalizing line that I've tried - until now. My skin is dry, aging, rosacean, reactive/sensitive, and acne-prone. The Turnaround line contains PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) which are a great choice for rosacean skin because they exfoliate more gently than AHAs or BHAs. I use the Turnaround serum daily for gentle exfoliation with the side benefit that it's also lightly moisturizing, and it's one of my favorite products that I can't live without. My hope was that I could use the mask once or twice a week for exfoliation, helpen to brighten my skin and allow my moisturizer to be more effective.

Pros:
- Price is fairly reasonable ($40 US) + product is widely available
- This mask is called "instant" because it contains scrubber beads - the same ones in Clinique's 7-Day Scrub Cream (a much better product than this one). Most rosaceans will find the beads too harsh + irritating but for me, they offered some exfoliation without irritation. (I'm not sure what the beads are made of but I would bet they aren't the best for the environment.)
- Doesn't cause breakouts

Cons:
- Unlike the Turnaround serum which is in a moisturizing base, the mask is more appropriate for oily skin because it's a clay base (= mucho drying). My skin is as dry as an old bone, especially this time of year (dead of Winter) so a clay mask that sucks out all traces of moisture is exactly what I don't need. Every time I used it, I had to immediately slather on Paula's Choice Hydrating Treatment Mask to avoid flakes/irritation.
- Ineffectual: Other than the drying from the clay + manual exfoliation from the beads, this mask doesn't do much of anything.

This mask is a waste of money and definitely did not increase my skin's glow - no revitalization happened. I'll stick to using the Turnaround serum daily + my beloved Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant (similar but much more effective) once a week.

Toners -Clinique -Clarifying Lotion #3

This was my first toner I ever bought from Clinique as a oily faced teenager! I like their oily bar soap a lot so I figured I should try their toner as a 2 nd step also & I don't want to go too strong to the #4 strength for fear of burning me with the alcohol & I knew the #2 toner did nothing & was bad just alcohol & menthol! The only toners that do any exfoliating is the 3 4 & acne ones

From what I recall as a teenager it was such a while ago ii think 💭 I just used it only every once in a while to freshen up my face in between washing my face to keep down the oil ! I never did their twice a day exfoliating thing Bc I knew all the alcohol was going to be bad for my skin! I would never buy this again & I have so many little try me samples of this toner I got which Il use up but never buy their toners again! I'm a # 4 in their skin diagnosis
I really like the analogy of how some reviewers have said Clinique clarifying lotions are the junk food & fast food of skincare! LOL! &I agree especially in back in the day when their antiiquated 3 steps only had bar soap & the yellow oily lotion as a option only! It's this harsh system that gives Clinique its bad reputation! I think Clinique cleansers & toners are better suited for oily younger tougher skin types that are sensitive to fragrance

Cleansers -Clinique -Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild

03/06/18 edit: after writing this review like next day my skin erupted into major cystic acne! I just got 4 week trial of Clinique Acne Solutions to try to get my skin back to where it was before this fiasco. I am having to use Cleocin T (RX) & it’s slowly healing in. It’s been 2 days since I had a new blemish & I returned this soap to Macys for a full refund thankfully. After I get my face back in order I will have to find a new cleanser. I don’t think I will need to permanently use Acne Solutions. Just to get my face go squared away I know my skin will get better. If you are at all blemish-prone run far away from this product. It should be reserved for those w very dry skin. Not good for oily skin whatsoever. It pains me to write a negative review for a brand I admire & respect but I am lowering my rating after it wrecked my skin! I hadn’t had a blemish for a couple of years! Then this!! GRRRRRRR.....!! —- Original review: I’ve got “mature oily skin” (I’m nearing 41) & my skin IS quite oily although how I’m taking care of it has changed. My last soap was Clinique liquid soap for oily skin I decided it was too harsh & went to Clinique to ferret out a gentler cleanser & I was rec’d this by the rather odious Macys Clinique SA. I had to order it & it came in a timely manner. It’s wonderful. Creamy & makes my skin feel great after pond cold creme (double cleanse) in the AM. Then I follow w Clinique 1.0 toner & DDMGel. My skin feels great. I can’t believe i ever used all that harsh stuff when I was younger (clarifying lotion #3, liquid soap for oily skin....) I use 1.0 or lotion #1 I don’t like stripping my skin. I’ve finally got the right products for me. Yay =]

This is awful. Sorry to be blunt, but this stuff is bad. It's nothing like a cleanser, and doesn't remove makeup at all. I used this with a bit of warm water, and it was nothing more than rubbing lotion on my face. I rinsed and was left with all my makeup on, plus a thick oily slime on my face. It might be ok for those that wear zero makeup and are extremely dry. Other than that, I would avoid this and recommend Cliniques rinse off foaming cleanser.

Liquid -Clinique -Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

This foundation is just ok, not great. It does cover up redness pretty well at first, but by lunchtime it slides off my T zone area. On the rest of my face it works ok. I am in my late 20s and it settled into my frown lines. I don’t even have wrinkles yet but this gave the illusion that my skin was much older. I also found it to oxidize and turn orangey throughout the day. I won’t be repurchasing.

A horrid cleanser. Horrid. I tried it as I received a generous sample in a gift with purchase. Right as soon as I opened it, the overwhelming scent really put me off - it smells like a commercial grade house cleaner loaded with a ton of chemicals. Truly terrible... and you can’t get away from it, it doesn’t dissipate or anything. The feel is a light gel that foams up a lot - only the tiniest dot of it is needed. However, it foams up so much that it is near impossible to keep it out of the eyes... which stings terribly! Terribly! Last but not least, my sensitive-combination skin was left super dry, very tight and uncomfortable, and it caused me all over breakouts and sort itchy red bumps on my cheeks. Really, there is nothing mild about this. Perhaps this would work for thick, non-sensitive, oily skin in a humid environment.... but then again, the scent is still so gross. Complete fail.

There's no hydration, it doesn't sink in. The open pot is unhygienic. The price definitely isn't right. I don't see the point.

The hype Clinique awards this product is ridiculous. I can't think of any age bracket this would work for.

I did like Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting eye cream but not enough to shell out 58 CAD.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

I got a sample of this from sephora...about 5 mL? I gave this one lippy. I don't hate it with the burning passion of a thousand flames or anything...but I did throw it away almost immediately. As a hydrator this worked decently well. I don't know if I believe the claim that it's like an oasis of water, since I did not use it for very long. This might be a good choice for oily skin that likes gel moisturizers. What I couldn't get past is how sticky it is. I get dry spots on my neck in the winter and apply the concentrate down there too. When I lay in bed to read my neck wrinkles a little bit (I'm neither old nor huge) and when I wear this stuff...sticks together. The feeling of a small fold of skin sticking together is distracting and a disgusting sensation. That is how sticky this stuff is. In this bin it went.

Best blush ever, and the only one I've ever hit pan on. I think this is a more sophisticated and flattering version of NARS orgasm. I normally hate the popular peachy pink blushes with golden shimmer (milani luminoso, orgasm) but this one is more neutral and more subtle. The one thing I don't like about it is the pan shape and that it's harder to find than it used to be. I wish they would make it in a circular pan like their new blushes that are sold in sephora.
