I tried this one out and I was very annoyed by the smell of the petroleum ingredient which made the whole process of application really uncomfortable for me. I don't think I would give this one another chance. I was more satisfied with the other 2 products form my Set routine.

Blush -Clinique -Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Precious Posy

Love the color, it's soft, it has tiny golden sparkles, looks translucide if you apply a small amount on your cheeks. It's not a full orange, it's not as warm as Nars Orgasm is. The texture is tender, buildable...I lovw it. I want to try Clinique blushes in other colours, and I will absolutely buy it again!

I used this for 3 days only. It was making my skin more drier and my eyes got so irritated after using this product. This product is not good for sensitive skin and cause eyes irritation.

I hated it alot because it's too strong like concentrated, fragranced, and caused breakouts on me. Plus, it was drying. Be careful of it's ingredients.

Highlighters -Clinique -Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight - Hefty Highlight

I'm a fan! I have this in Hefty Highlight, which I believe is currently the only shade anyway but just in case they add new colors later, you'll understand what shade I'm talking about here. This gives a very light, very natural-looking brightness that doesn't look shimmery/glittery. I usually don't wear skin makeup and even when I do, I go for the No Makeup Makeup look. I got my very first highlighter couple weeks before I got this. Wet n Wild Megaglo highlighter. While I also liked that, it's powder which is harder to work with for me and a bit shimmery which is a bit off from the look I like.

I saw this Clinique highlighter on Instagram and it looked too gorgeous to not get one. Blending is super easy. I usually use it without any other skin make-up and it still looks great. I have very fair skin with pink undertone and light brown freckles on my face. On my face, this doesn't look pink but just as my own skin color...only brighter. Even on my light brown freckles it didn't look too pink, so I think it would work on darker skin tones with pink undertones as well. And it stays surprisingly long. I thought because it's not powder and blending was very easy, it would fade but I put it on in the morning and in the evening it's still there. I have sensitive skin and just like other Clinique make-up products I've tried, this didn't cause any irritation, no itchy feeling...no problem.

I'm so glad Clinique made this highlighter. I will definitely purchase again.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Dramatically Different Moisturizing "Cream"

foto

The original DDM was not moisturizing enough for my very dry skin so the cream version is definitely right up my alley. Haven’t gotten around to trying it until recently, I guess because there are creams at the drugstores these days that are just as good, if not better than the baby steps Clinique has made when it comes to putting known beneficial ingredients into skin care. It does hydrate a lot and is reminiscent of the lotion, just thicker, a definite improvement over the “one lotion suits all” mindset. I am by no means wowed other than I’m a sucker for packaging and the little glass jar brings it up a notch as far as elegance and “makeup table” appeal, but I give it credit because I don’t have to pile a bunch on to feel hydrated and it plays excellent with my foundation.

Mascara -Clinique -High Impact Mascara

Sooo disappointed. This does not live up to its name. It should be called Low Impact. I put on 3 or even 4 coats to get any the effect I want. It does not add volume and eventually does add length. On the positive it doesn’t flake or smudge and I do suffer from mascaras smudging. So maybe if you are looking for an incredibly natural mascara where you want to add the pigment and a bit of definition this will work for you.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

Best moisturizer I’ve ever tried. Especially for those dry spots at the crease of my nose. My skin gets a surge of moisture after application plus makeup actually applies a bit better. I really like gel moisturizers because they don’t feel greasy. And a little goes a long way.

Got the tiny little travel jar to try because I am hesitant to spring for a bigger jar. Glad I got the tiny because this variation of moisture surge doesn’t do anything for my super dry skin. It’s more like 72 minutes of hydration. The Intense version works waaay better. Sometimes it also burns a little bit too when I put it on.

Cleansers -Clinique -Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild

I could not love this product anymore than I do! It's perfection given my goal.

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I wanted a cleanser for my cheeks in the mornings. I use super rich serums and moisturizers overnight. So in the morning, I just need a cleanser that removes the moisturizing products without causing dehydration and nullifying the benefits of the overnight products.

Over the years, I've used products that were not horrendous on my cheeks. And yet they didn't leave my cheeks as hydrated as I'd like. This Clinique product leaves my skin with the true suppleness that I desire!

By the way, I'd never use this product in a million years to remove makeup. Nor would I use it for any type of nighttime cleaning. It's just way too gentle for that. In fact, the thing that I like about it is that it's devoid of heavy duty cleansing ingredients! Instead, I think of this as a light rinse-type thing in the mornings that happens to be in a creamy formula. I quickly spread an amount that's probably the size of 1.5 peas over my wet cheeks. Then I quickly splash it off with water and a washcloth. Finally, I proceed with my daytime toner, moisturizer and makeup products.

Enjoy this!

Moisturizers -Clinique -Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

I wanted to like this, because it seems to have such great reviews, but it just didn't work for me.

I found that it made my skin burn a little when applied, and no matter the amount I used, it didn't absorb well for me, after a few hours it made my face feel very greasy, and after a while, I found my eyes would would start to feel irritated.

I'm almost positive it's due to the dimethicone in this, because I only have that reaction when I use a product containing dimethicone.

Mascara -Clinique -Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara

I just came to the end of my trial size tube and all I can say is...meh.

This mascara is ok but doesn't have much going on for the price. I don't prefer the big barrel style brush with spindly applicators. It doesn't do much to smooth out the parts of my lashes that can look sparse or clumped together. It also wasn't very volumizing, it was a very laid back look.

No flaking.

Not memorable and glad to be moving on.

Liquid -Clinique -Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup SPF 15

This is one heavy looking foundation!

My mum is a big fan of the original version of this and surprise surprise, when I managed to obtain a sample pot of this (even two!) during a Clinique event in Scotland I was very interested to try this version too.

Maybe that is the main reason behind NEVER being able to obtain a sample to try the foundation on my own first is that majority of the new releases with a 'glow' in the title are really bad looking on my skin (hello Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow). I have dry skin but without any particular dry patches, wrinkles or pores to hide and I like lightweight, natural looking foundations that I never apply all over and always in the most subtle manner (fingers are my preferred method) as I don't need to cover much. I like Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua, Armani Maestro Glow and on most days I just go out wearing a tinted mineral sunscreen with a tiny bit of powder on top. In short, I like my skin to look natural but perfected.

This product is far from it. It is a thick foundation, colour selection is confusing (I was matched to 4 and...38! I'm 020 in Chanel and Dior, 4 in Armani) and it is pretty matte and heavy looking on the skin even when applied even in a tiny amount and blended out with a wet BB sponge. It does not have any fragrance (Chanel Les Beiges smells like urine...) and the packaging is a squeezable plastic tube so easy to travel with.

I applied it in the morning, and a couple of minutes after application it was heavy, makeup looking, like the pigments were not milled thinly enough and it was sitting on top of the skin, sucking every bit of glow out of it instead of giving it back. It only has spf 15, yet my Kiehl's mineral spf 50 that is not a foundation by any means is thinner in consistency and covers better than this. To cover a tiny red spot on my cheek (it is that time of the month...) I put it on and blended TWICE and in the end I still had to go and spot conceal with Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage that I keep at the back of my makeup drawer for that sort of emergencies. Quite a lot of faff in the morning! using fingers was out fo the question.

In the end I had to stop patting it desperately with my beauty blender (I skipped setting it with powder as it was dry and matte looking already) and went on about my day. Approximately 6-7 hours later I was meeting my husband for a dinner and I looked at myself in the mirror of the restaurant's loos - it needed blotting, gathered in the folds of my nostrils but at least looked less matte and was not completely gone from my chin and cheeks. So I blotted my forehead just in case and my face looked ok. But I have a pretty good skin that does not need much coverage. A nice thing was that my blush was still visible on my cheeks so it holds on to the products put on top quite well.

Thank you for a sample of this Boots, you saved me £28 worth of a bad looking foundation. Now I just have to get rid of this awful new Chanel one...

I love this product. I use it in the morning under my foundation and it soaks into the skin very well and quickly, so I don't have to wait at all to put the foundation on. Best moisturizer I have ever used

I've recently started using this, although I don't need anti ageing yet, this cream has really helped my acne and redness! I wake up and my face isn't red when I use this. Love it.
