Ahhh, Coco Mad, the citrusy fruitchouli from 2001 that left a thousand copycats in its wake. It’s seamlessly, immaculately appealing. It just smells great, from first spray through last whiff. It won’t offend anyone and will, in fact, delight many. Yes, I like it and wear it on occasion. No, I don’t love it. It may be a Chanel, but it’s no masterpiece. In the end, while CM is very well-done for what it is—it bores me. It’s pink and safe and predictable. When compared to some complex classics I own, CM seems almost like a really nice teen shampoo or deodorant by comparison. It has no heft, no gravitas. I’ll stick with the scents many call “old lady,” like Oscar de la Renta and Cinnabar. Those at least make a statement; CM is just amiable but vapid background noise.

I bought this foundation at Barneys in Vegas because I knew I was gonna be getting ratchet at the clubs, sweating and all. First of all, my skin is oily and I have sensitive skin. Although I don’t think it breaks me out, I haven’t used it long enough to notice. BUT this foundation is sooooo hard to apply, it’s very chalky, super hard to blend out. And it’s like extremely dry. Idk what the hell is in it, but I’ve tried many techniques and brushes. All in all, it’s terrible. Maybe if you add an oil or something. But it sucks.

I love this eyeliner because of its formulation, its staying power, the fact that it doesn't smear (no panda eyes), and for the sophisticated range of colors. I have it in espresso, cassis, celadon, and most recently I added santal. I've re-purchased both the espresso and the cassis a couple of times. My eyes tear often (supposedly it's an age thing) and I had the hardest time finding an eyeliner that didn't disappear as a result. But this Chanel Stylo is different and lasts until I remove it at night using a cotton pad and my favorite Erno Laszlo makeup remover, although sometimes, as I wash my face with a muslin cloth, I notice that a bit more is rubbed off so this liner really stays. The pencil is easy to use because you just open the cap and twist a tiny bit (about 1/8") up and apply; when done, you just twist it back into its casing. It's great for tight-lining because the cap contains a little sharpener and as needed, you can put a little point on the tip of the liner to make it more exacting when you apply it. I think it's important to completely close the cap when you're done -- pressing until you hear a little "click" -- because you don't want the liner to dry out. This is a typically great product from Chanel. Top quality, elegant, and fashionable. Highly recommended and may they NEVER discontinue it!

This is an absolute holy grail product. I used the matt lumiere and double perfection for years and they were my go-to foundations. However now that I'm older and my skin is drier I find that they wash me out. With Vitalumiere loose powder, I get a glowy, natural coverage that just looks amazing. Love love love this. Also Chanel products never break out my hyper sensitive skin.

Smelled this at the perfume counter at Macy's and thought it smelled great. Its a more flowery scent which is a reflection of the new trend towards this sort of scent. I keep going back and dousing myself with this stuff and am happy to see Chanel has come out with a smaller bottle for $76.00, which I fully intend to buy. This is pretty scent which is easy to wear.

Love love love. Price is great for Chanel, everything about the formula is amazing and smells great. Wish it was a little darker but definitely a staple in my makeup.

As a fan of the classic Chanel scents as well as the Les Exclusives, I just can say "Gabrielle" is embarrassing to the legacy of Coco Chanel. This scent is ordinary, nothing special of Chanel about it. It smells like a mixture of several ordinary drugstore scents, a bit of everything, a little flower mix in the beginning and then an almost annoying cheap fruity note. Total disappointment and not understandable for me as there were really beautiful new creations like No.5 Eau Premiere for example. But "Gabrielle" is just a cheap cash machine not worthy to wear the Chanel tag.

I love this! I received from my hubs for Christmas! He usually never buys a perfume without me hinting....but I have several other Chanel's, so I think he felt comfortable. Initially I thought...hmmmm, probably wouldn't have asked for this. But, it's really pretty! Reminds me of walking into a beautiful department store! Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms...that smell over in the beauty department...it's this!! Now, the dry down isn't a huge surprise.... basically smells the same. The strength is decent...not the strongest...but certainly not the weakest. My scarf still smells GREAT from a week ago. It's definitely different than others I've had or have...which is fun!

While the product is more wet than most, after learning careful application this has easily become my 'unicorn'.The pigment is very black, there is minimal transfer, even after being face down in the chiropractors office, and comes off entirely without any fuss (no panda eyes). My lashes are super dark, evenly fanned out, no clumping/spideriness, and make my eyes pop like nothing else. It's pricey yes, and that sleek black tube with the double c's, it's a pleasure to work with and reach for in my makeup bag.Bless you Coco, it's worth every penny :)

I had purchased two of the smaller bottles after receiving a sample. I then purchased the largest bottle since this is now the only fragrance I use. I love the clean scent. It doesn't last all day but I don't mind spraying it on a few times, it's that enjoyable! It's a winner and my new signature fragrance. Thank you, Chanel!

I received the micro serum and creme' moisturizer as samples and loved them both. I am close to 70 and live on Kauai. I'm out in the sun quite a bit and have not been as attentive to my skin as I should have been. I was developing wrinkles and looking haggard. After I used the sampl products for a few days, I was seeing results. I quickly ordered both and bit the bullet where price was concerned. I'm worth it, right? After almost a month, the improvement is quite visible. I use it only at night or also when I'm ready to go out. I've used nothing else. I will continue to use Hydra beauty products from now on and am delighted at my results. I love the scent of the serum. I don't find either the serum or cream to be sticky, instead it absorbs rather quickly. I'm sold! Thank you, Chanel.

I was very disappointed with this foundation. Firstly I made the mistake of thinking the colour 20 would be equal/similar to the same number in other Chanel foundations, but it is paler. To apply, the foundation is quite thick and creamy and as others have commented, it dries very quickly. I fared better with a foundation brush than fingers for application. I don't think I have ever had a foundation sink into my pores as much as this one. I have combination skin, with visible pores on my nose. However, this foundation even showed up pores on my cheeks that I didn't even know I had, albeit using a primer! It stayed well for most of the day, but once a shine breaks through, it is all patchy, greasy and caked looking. Was not attractive on my nose and chin, where it also highlighted pores. If you have great skin to begin with then you may love this foundation. If you have deep lines at all, this will sink into them after a few hours. I guess this was passable for a couple of hours, but certainly not what I expected from Chanel.

Being of Scottish descent with short arms and long pockets I like a bargain, but sometimes bargains can masquerade as luxe and this is the case here. Chanel Soleil Tan is a full 30 grams, goes on in a buildable way where you call the shots and has a lovely sheen for all but the ivory skinned populace. I saw an article by the lovely Camille Goutal some years ago and was influenced enough to buy it blind from my base here in New Zealand; I hadn't tried it at the beauty counters and so glad I made the leap. Thoroughly recommended, I use a synthetic brush to enhance chin, nose and cheeks and nowadays use a blender sponge to make sure it's just right. It is one of those rare occasions where I definitely know a repurchase is inevitable.
