Palettes -Too Faced -Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette

Smells delicious, colors look nice and are pretty long lasting. Pans are very shallow I went through my favorite color pink sugar in no time at all. Reason for poor rating is the darker colors don't seem to blend well on the skin and end up looking dirty. Also there is a lot of fall-out and I mean a lot. Another thing is I think there's something in the formula that irritates my eyes, maybe it's the scent. Other than that the packaging and colors are great and I do like the idea of a scented product but maybe just not for the eye area.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced -Chocolate Gold Eye Shadow Palette

on 9/8/2018 12:02:00 AM

This is my #1 favorite palette, it sees more use than any other I own except my naked basics. I love every shade and there are a few unique ones that I didn't have in any other.

All the shadows are soft and pigmented, though some of them do apply more intensely with your finger. They all blend very well without fading or becoming muddy. You can create many different looks, day to night. My favorite shades are: Classy & Sassy (rose gold),Money Bags (emerald), New Money (fuchsia), and Chocolate Gold (bright gold). There are only 4 matte shades in the palette, but one of them is a transition shade so you can still get a complete look from it.

You will probably want to use a concealer, primer or even glitter glue on the lid for some of them. It'll help with fallout and give your eyes that extra pop of intensity. I can apply this at 7am and my eyeshadow will be the best part of my makeup in the evening when I get home, still looking flawless.

Out of all the chocolate palettes, this one is (in my opinion) the best. If you're considering any of them and you already have tons of neutrals and mattes get this one!

Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced -Hangover Rx Replenishing Face Primer

on 9/7/2018 6:56:00 PM

I finally found a primer to thin out my foundation into a bb cream tinted moisturizer texture that didn't end up with separation by the end of the work day. I do not like full coverage foundation for daily use. I also find some medium coverage foundations still too full coverage for my liking. In an attempt not to buy tons of different foundation, I just started mixing primer into my foundation. (thus having the flexibility of buildable coverage) I finds this primer does offer good hydration as my dry patches stay hidden all day when I use this primer. Didn't aggravate my occasional eczema and didn't cause any acne for me. Love the airless pump dispenser.

Palettes -Too Faced -White Peach Eyeshadow Palette

on 9/7/2018 9:31:00 AM

I admit I bought this because it was on sale and I had 15% off, so I paid like $20 for it. So it doesn't hurt that much that I feel like it's sort of...useless. It really is nothing special, you could probably find something exactly like this with a similar formula at the drugstore.

I love all the shades as they are in the pans. I'm obsessed with the whole peach theme and I don't have many cool shades in my collection, so I grabbed this up without even swatching it. I love my TF Chocolate Gold palette and use it all the time so I was hoping for the same quality here and was soooo disappointed.

Most of the colors are too light on my light-medium skin. Even over a white base, not impressive. I realize they're light in the pan but if they had more pigment in them this wouldn't be an issue. It just isn't there for most of them so you're just building and building or packing it on.

Out of the entire thing the most usable colors for me are Sweet Fig, Glittering Peach, Peaches and Dreams, and Peach Passion. Peach Ice is a decent inner corner highlight especially if wet. Unfortunately the shade that I really love, Creme de la Peach, is awful. It's so powdery and barely pigmented at all. I tried building it, tried using it wet, finally I just tried it on my finger which gave the best result. Once it was blended it was sheer, patchy and not really glittery. Just a let down.

Most of the mattes are powdery, dry and just take too much time to build up. They do blend pretty well, but overall I don't want to spend that much time trying to make my eyeshadow look good when I could do it in half the time with another palette. If I had paid full price for this it would be going back to Sephora, but I do like some of the shimmers so I'll use them up and toss the others.

Oh and the smell...It's sort of like a combination of peaches and...mildew? I don't know really. But it smells cheap and chemically, not anything like an actual peach. it reminds me of the TF peach primer that I absolutely hated. I can get into scented makeup, the chocolate palettes smell amazing, but this is a dud.

Mascara -Too Faced -Better Than Sex Mascara

on 9/6/2018 10:08:00 AM

I've heard so much hype about this mascara it's crazy. But usually when you hear hype about a product it's usually just a bunch of fluff. I gotta say that when I jumped on the bandwagon to try this mascara, I was instantly a believer! I've tried a few overly hyped department mascaras before (I'm looking at you, Dior Show) and I was very underwhelmed with results. I have sparse lashes, so it has to be the right formula in order for my lashes to look even half way decent. My first go 'round with BTS was a free sample through Sephora, even with ONE coat my lashes looked full almost as if I had falsies on, I literally used the sample until the spoolie turned white, seriously. My eyes looked HUGE and the product did not transfer by noon. Then, I purchased a full size and I've been hooked every since. The price is a bit steep but well worth the spurge. I love that color is universal as well. Will repurchase after run outs.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced -Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

on 9/5/2018 7:54:00 AM

Chocolate Bon Bons palette by Too Faced is an absolutely adorable eyeshadow palette. It comes in a pink metal case and each of the shadow pans are shaped like a love heart (with the exception of Satin Sheets and Divinity). The shadows are mostly great quality but there are some duds unfortunately (Earl Grey and Blackcurrant), though the majority of the shades are excellent. Stand out shades include Satin Sheets, Totally Fetch, Cafe Au Lait, Molasses Chip, Cotton Candy and Almond Truffle. The majority of the shades are cool-toned, a nice change in a market dominated by warm palettes! Fair and cool toned girls will love this palette. You can definitely do a lot of natural everyday looks, subtly smokey looks and fun pop-of-color looks with this palette, making it a great palette to have on hand. It also has a delicious chocolate scent, but I believe the scent is milder than Too Faced's other scented palettes. I absolutely love this palette, it is great addition to my collection.

Foundations -Too Faced -Born This Way Foundation

on 9/4/2018 10:11:00 PM

I absolutely love this foundation. It has moderate to full coverage, has a very creamy not drying texture, that gives me a near flawless look. It doesn't crease in my fine lines & stays on all day. I first use a primer then put this on then finish it off with a setting spray. I have tried countless foundations & from now on this is my new love. A must try for anyone who is in search for a new foundation.

Eyeliner -Too Faced -Sketch Marker

I wasn't a fan of this eyeliner. It was extremely sticky, and dried down to be slightly glossy. Within an hour of application, it had transferred up above my crease, and smudged onto parts of my face if I accidentally touched my eyes. I've worn it with and without eyeshadow, and with and without an eye primer. Smudged every time. I have drugstore eyeliners that perform better for 1/5 the price.

Concealers -Too Faced -Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer

on 9/4/2018 11:20:00 AM

I wear shade Snow in the foundation, and I found that the same shade works for me in this concealer as well. I would have gone for Swan, that seemed like a good match too, but they didn't have it in stock. I'm glad I picked Snow though, I think it's the better match for me.

I gave it a 5 star rating based on the performance alone, as there are 2 things that I'm not too fond of: the price (but I guess it's forgivable, as the size makes up for it), and the bottle. I really don't like the opening, or the too-big doe foot applicator. Together, they make for a big mess :s

But back to the product itself, it's pretty great for covering under eye circles and camouflaging tiny bags. I tried using it to cover redness from a pimple, but it rubbed off the foundation I had on it already, so I will probably not use it for face concealing. But for eyes, it's the best I've used. It covers fully, it looks smooth and stays this way without creasing or fading. I have tiny bags, and they get camouflaged with this concealer. And you only need a very tiny bit, as it's thick and spreads easily. I can see this lasting me a very long time.

Liquid -Too Faced -Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation

This is the foundation that I'm wearing on daily basis. My skin is sensitive especially to alcohol and fragrance; and I find this silicone-based foundation doesn't irritate my skin at all, though it has a (pleasant) peachy smell. In fact, the scent fades away so quickly that I hardly notice it when wearing it throughout the day.

The foundation gives my textured combination skin (oily T-zone, the rest of my face is normal to dry) a perfect comfortable airbrush matte complexion. It provides a solid buildable medium coverage, it doesn't take too much product to cover my whole face. It doesn't emphasize my texture and pores, cling on my dry patches or crease on areas around my nose and my chin (Only a few foundations ever do that to me). It doesn't sink into my smile lines and fine lines on the forehead and under eyes. It doesn't oxidize. It stays good on my skin from sunrise to sunset, with no need of setting powder or touch-ups, truly water-proof and transfer-proof (I never take the transfer-proof claim of brands seriously, until this one; no matter what I do like touching, pinching, hugging someone,.. it doesn't move or transfer.). It looks better in natural sunlight than other matte foundations I've tried. At the end of the day, it holds my oil at bay and my skin looks dewy in a natural way. I'm totally in love.

I was struggling a little bit to find the best method of application when I first got it. I personally think that the foundation looks best when applied with a more loose-packed brush than a typical dense-packed one and sponges. It spreads over my skin easily and evenly, leaving an airbrush finish.

I also find that it works well with Hourglass veil mineral primer. When my skin is on the drier side because of the change of season, a hydrating primer like Laura Mercier foundation one is a good option.

The shade range of the foundation isn't good enough, unfortunately. If you have very pale or dark skin, you probably won't find your shade. My skin is 1Y07 in Sephora color iq, NC25 in Mac and I use the shade Warm nude, which is a perfect one.

Liquid -Too Faced -Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation

on 9/2/2018 6:39:00 PM

I was matched in store for the product and was matched with the shade Snow, this seems to be the lightest shade, which is quite surprising as I'm not that fair. It made me think the shade range may not be that wide. However, I bought the foundation and it goes on really well. I feel like it may look a bit cakey if too much is applied, but I use 1-2 pumps and it seems to be the right amount. Its definitely medium coverage, not full but it looks very natural on if you apply the right amount. I have combination skin, but it tends to get very oily throughout the day with my usual bare minerals foundation however with the Peach perfect it lasts all day. I can have my makeup on for 10 hours which I wear to work and my t-zone does not get shiny or oily when it usually does. Really impressed with this foundation and definitely recommend to people with oily/combonation skin

Mascara -Too Faced -Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

I actually love this mascara. I have tried lots of brands like Maybelline, Revlon, L’Oreal and even lux brands like Lancôme and Dior and yet I found this waterproof mascara ticked all the boxes of what I wanted the mascara to do. I have straightish lashes and they’re not very long but when I put on the mascara they transformed my lashes into thick, voluminous, curly “falsies” without having to use my lash curler and also gave them some length. It also lasts all day without smudging. The downsides is that it flakes a little, gets clumpy if I apply too much, is a bit difficult to remove in which you need really good makeup waterproof remover to achieve this and it is pricey. But in having said that, I love the function of this mascara and I will be buying this again once I run out of it.
Edit: (9/6/2018) This had passed the cry test so definitely one of the best waterproof mascaras I’ve used so far!

Palettes -Too Faced -Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection Palette

on 9/2/2018 5:20:00 AM

I have so much love for this palette, it's unreal. Sweet Peach has been a cult favourite for a few years now but I only got my hands on it a couple of months ago - and find myself reaching for it constantly. This palette is great for everday natural looks, everyday smokey looks, more dramatic smokey looks and of course peachy looks. Some of the standout shades include Summer Yum, Bellini, Just Peachy, Caramalized, Cobbler, Georgia and Luscious. I love how this palette smells. It has a very strong peach scent, and is noticeable when first applied to the lid. It does fade over time on the lid however. If you have sensitivity to fragrance then this palette is not the one for you. Otherwise, I believe this palette's shades can cater to a lot of different skin tones and create quite a few different looks. I would highly recommend this palette!

Liquid -Too Faced -Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation

I've had this for about a week now, and have used it 4 times to get a good feel for its wear time and overall performance.. I'm 48 yo, combo skin, and hate full coverage foundations normally... I really am liking this so far! I only use about 3/4 of a pump for my entire face, and the coverage is excellent. I find it to be more of a semi matte finish, and definitely not a full on flat matte look. I like it applied with either a flat brush, or my fingers initially, then smoothed out/blended out with a damp Beauty Blender. I like to set it with Shape Tape loose Setting Powder, or TF Ethereal Setting Powder(which is sadly discontinued), then a spray of setting spray and it's good to go for at least 4 hours till I need to use a blotting sheet, but that's normal for me. I will definitely repurchase.

Concealers -Too Faced -Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer

on 9/1/2018 9:28:00 PM

Will be returning to Sephora, unfortunately thought this would live up to the hype so purchased online vs trying in store.

Value for a concealer is amazing, was really hoping this would take the place of my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer however several things about this just doesn't work. I would be more likely to suggest this as a highlighting/contouring product if the undertones match you.

1. Packaging is very poor compared to any concealer I've used - too much product comes out on the want and it has a funnel-like opening that collects lots of product on the outside of it rather than wiping the applicator off as you pull it out of the container. Messy, kinda gross for high end make-up and wastes product

2. All of the light shades are quite clearly yellow toned, does not work for neutral skin, oxidizes slightly as well

3. just doesn't really conceal at all lol. I found when using it on spots I would end up going over them again with my Amazing Cosmetics or NARS concealer. More foundation-y for highlighting/contouring than concealing. I like a lighter foundation but when I conceal a spot I don't want that area seeing the light of day til I take my makeup off.
